...yet again...
Hi again! Third time's a charm... right? Just have to stick with it this time, even when life gets in the way!

Trying again :)
Hey, So I've been off and on now. I was doing really well in the spring and lost a bunch of weight. (18lbs) (with much help from MFP) and I seem to have found it again :( Here goes nothing!

Nail Art?
Anyone here do any nail art? I'm just starting and looking for any tips/tricks. And if you have any pics you can post, that would be great too :)

Workout plan today?
What's your workout plan for today? I'm about to turn on my xbox and do Your Shape cardio boxing for about 25 mins, then some of the challenges in my Zombie Apocalypse group, and maybe 20 mins on the stationary bike.

New to tea
I haven't been feeling well, so I just made my first cup of tea (EVER) and was hoping it would help me feel a little better. YUCK! How does the majority of the planet handle it? This kind I'm trying to have right now is a ginger peach green tea. I ever put a bit of honey in it. :( I"m not a coffee drinker either. Any…

Looking for a good read...
As I am waiting for some books to be released (Odd Thomas Series - Dean Koontz, Otherworld Series - Kelley Armstrong), I'm looking for something else. What are you reading right now? What have been some of your favorites? (I'm watching A Game of Thrones, so I probably won't bother to read them) I prefer a good series to be…

Article on Sleep and Weight Loss
From an article in Women's Health: Is Your Sleep Schedule Making You Fat? If you're what researchers call a short sleeper (i.e., you sleep for 5.5 to 6 hours or less a night), you'll have trouble losing weight, no doubt about it. In a 7-year study of 7,022 middle-aged people, Finnish researchers found that women who…

Article about shoes
Here's a great article from Women's Health about finding the right shoe for you. http://www.womenshealthmag.com/fitness/best-sneakers?cm_mmc=Facebook-_-WomensHealth-_-Content-Fitness-_-BestSneakersForYourWorkout With a reminder that just asking someone what they use, likely is not the same fit for you :)

Youth Running Clubs
My son has been in a running club at school for about 5 weeks now. They've sent home a pamphlet about a program they can sign up for to do races throughout the city (and surrounding areas). I'm so excited for him! And there is a division for even younger ones so I can sign up his little brother too! Here's the link for…

Moving to another country
My boyfriend and I have always wanted to move far away. We live in Canada, born and raised. But we just want to get away. Far away. We have 2 children as well. I've looked into it just a bit, and sadly, for some places, it seems you can only move there if you have a skill in demand, etc. Is it like this for anywhere to…

Crazy gas prices
Today gas prices have gone up in my area, and they are the highest they have EVER been. It's absolutely ridiculous. 142.9 cents per liter! Seriously?!?!

How to switch to "maintenance" ?
I'm not even close to being ready for this, but it has just popped into my head, and I think others might wonder about it too. So have some of you done it? When you reached your ideal weight, did you switch right to the maintenance calories? Or did you gradually increase them over time? Did you find it difficult to start…

30DS in 60 days anyone?
I started doing 30ds back in September, long story short, I never finished level 1. I've heard that the program doesn't necessarily have to be completed within 30 consecutive days. So I'm wondering if anyone out there has done the program every other day and still had great results? I'm thinking about starting on Sunday,…

Question for women lifters
I've seen a lot of ladies on here talking about how great it is to lift weights. I'd like to start working it in regularly to my workouts. So I have a few questions. 1. What are the benefits to it? I'm pretty much just doing cardio at the moment. 2. Is this something I can do at home? I cannot afford the money or time for…

St. Patrick's Day
How many of you will be indulging in some green beer? (or other green liquors) I won't, I don't drink anyways. But I may have some green broccoli, lol.

You guys broke me down!
I finally went out and splurged on a Polar FT7 today! Thanks guys, I know it will be worth it :)

Other than Garmin or Polar?
They're both just out of my price range. I've seen some great deals online, only to find that they don't ship to Canada, or the shipping is another $30, etc, etc. In store they look to be around $160. I just can't do that right now. So I'm looking for input from people who have been using other HRM's and are happy with…

How to flavor some steamed veggies
Planning on having some steamed veg with dinner tonight (carrots, broccoli, cauliflower), but don't know what to put on them for a little flavor. Please don't tell me to eat them plain, that just isn't going to fly in my family. We're taking babysteps. I would usually have put butter and salt :( Any yummy, non-fatty…

A different type of nsv
It doesn't so much apply to me as it does to our family's lifestyle. My 7 year old son came home today with a sheet to sign up for a 10 week running club at school! He's a scrawny boy who just likes to play video games and watch tv. But I think that maybe since he's been seeing mom exercising that maybe he's become…

FitBit vs HRM
Has anyone tried both? I'm looking into getting a heart rate monitor and have seen the fitbit too. I'd like to know which would be more accurate so I know what would be best for me and not a waste of money. Thanks.

kitchen scale
I'm planning on buying a kitchen scale tomorrow. I've been meaning to for a little while now. I've heard so many people talk about how much better it is to have one. Since I'm really bad a guessing measurements, I think this will be a good thing for me. Does anyone have any tips on choosing one? Have you found any makes…

Second try
I joined MFP back in the summer and I was kicking butt! I mean I was losing weight on track and eating healthier and being more active. I had never done so well in all my life. Then I started a new job in the fall and everything changed. It was so much stress, and it was difficult to bring lunches there. I pretty much gave…

Multivitamins?
I'm looking to begin taking a multivitamin but I'm really lost as there are so many out there. How do i know what's right for me? I know that I'm not getting all the nutrients I should be (fussy eater) so this is why I want to take them. Any help would be appreciated.

Pencil Sharpening
Can we make pencil sharpening an exercise? lol I just spent a good 45 minutes sharpening all of my sons pencils for school tomorrow. Sheesh. My arm actually is a little tired, and I have a blister on one finger, lol. (Was using one of those little rinky dink hand held sharpeners)

My first day of 30ds

Workout Videos that don't use equipment
Do any of you know of any workout videos that don't require equipment? I just can't afford to but any blocks, stretch bands. etc at the moment. (I do have dumbells though)
