Good day. Although I think I got a bit more sleep I am very tired and have a long afternoon in the class I signed up for a long time ago. I wonder if I could cancel? Tomorrow I am to have lunch with a friend. Just found out there is a virus sweeping through my church, apparently 1 - 2 days of fever, and gastric problems. One lady got it Saturday evening, one of the babies on Sunday morning, another adult Sunday afternoon, and now I have heard of at least 4 more yesterday. Come on immune system!!!!!

Back to some sorting. Still have not located that one photo I am searching for. Perhaps that is one that I had already tossed out.

    Take care everyone.

    hi all
we are off to Walmart. this morning. Which they are trying something new. We can order grocer on line and they will have them ready for us when we go there. But we are not using it today but may when I don't feel like going and Jerry can pick them up. I don't know how it work yet. remind me Of when my daddy had the grocer store. He would take orders on the phone and deliver it to them Back then there was not so many choice of different food available. In the forties..

Just stopping by to say "Hi". Read all the posts and cannot contribute ttoo many to answer.
Life is great and I am enjoying every minute of it.

I have committed to myself to eat better and buckle down to lose at least 15 lbs. Also the weather getting better so I plan to walk more too. My eating habits were just getting out of hand.

See you all the next time, hopefully with less weight on this body.
    Stay healthy and be happy.

Chris, Nice you could check in and happy to hear all is well. I know what you mean about the gaining
of weight, I am still on maintenance and its not because I want to. I did 75 min of Yoga and 15 mins on
my bike yesterday and I gained this morning. grrr!

I see my post of Molly's picture is not here and I checked it to make sure it printed okay. My whole
post here seems to have disappeared. Is MFP trying to tell me something. Hmmm?

Today was a cool but sunny day and I did get the 30 mins walk at the arena with Dave and have gotten
my 10,000 steps in today so I feel I have accomplished something anyway. I finished laundry and
will practice a song from choir I am not comfortable with yet. We have a performance on Saturday
we are only singing 3 songs so it will be short and sweet and we can relax and watch the other
singers. It will be songs from Broadway plays.

So I will try again to print my dog Molly's picture. She was our last dog and is now in doggy heaven.

Happy Tuesday!! :) We had a beautiful day so I took Robby in his stroller for a mile walk. We ended up at the park where he played with his bubbles, found a stick and played in the dirt. Typical boy and I laugh with him all the time. It is garbage night and almost time for dinner so just checking in. Shirley Molly was beautiful, I picture all of our furry friends romping around heaven making everyone laugh. Lin Be careful with that virus especially with the cause of Patty Duke's death ( sepsis from a ruptured intestine). Jackie Sorry about your computer virus. Marie Hope you enjoyed your shopping at Walmart. Chris Good for you for committing to a better eating plan.Phoebe I think you lost your calling as a comedian.

    Have a great night!!

Hello everyone. We have had a lovely sunny day in the 60s. It is so exciting to think about spring and warm weather. The sunshine does wonders for ones emotional health as well as our physical health.

Shirley: I loved the photo of your sweet Molly. What a jolly friendly face and wonderful eyes. Dogs are such great creatures. We are lucky to share our lives with them.

Jackie: I had the same issue with my pc a few years back. We ditched that computer so we didn't ever really solve the problem. Our son is a computer animator and thinks any computer over 3 to 4 years old is a dinosaur. Well! We are pretty much dinosaurs ourselves, so we use ours until electricity can no longer run through the wires. I love technology but have no idea how to use most of it.

Lin: this virus that is sweeping the nation is pretty scary. There are normally healthy people who have become seriously ill. A good friend who is a vet was hospitalized along with his assistant. The nursing home here has seen more deaths and pneumonia than normal this winter. We have had our flu shot, but everyone one else has had theirs as well. You are wise to be cautious.

Tonight John checked out a shoot 'em up movie, The Angry Eight. It is a Terrentino movie and he always directs violent crime thrillers. I think I will be upstairs with the yoga DVD. We are having my famous Desparado bean soup for dinner. That and a piece of Santa Fe cornbread, we are GOOD to go! I have noticed that strong flavors in food are a bit more satisfying. For me, a cup of the bean soup that has a lot of firey spice, is enough. I guess that seems pretty much reasonable.

Aw, gee whiz, JACKIE! I've been through that and it may be needing an updated driver for either the cursor or the keyboard. Maybe Google can advise? So frustrating!
I got a new haircut today and the results should follow!

Where is everybody today? We had a wild thunderstorm that leaked through many spots on the new roof! Wonderful concert tonight and he stayed way beyond his paycheck, I'm sure! Everything from Pagliacci to Sinatra! Oh, these Italian singers!!!
Way behind on email. JACKIE, let us know how you make out! Bet it's not a virus~...

    Hello All,

Nice new haircut BUZZ. Very nice.

Ed and I went for a drive north of the city today. At Easter Mel's m-i-l told me about going to a town Ed used to work out of about 40 years ago. She said they had a few nice stores and a couple good coffee shops. It peaked our interest and off we went. What a nice day for a drive and we really enjoyed seeing the country again. Fun. Stopped at a thrift store and bought a couple of treasures - lol. One though, I'm very pleased with. A very nice gravy dish made by a local potter. Got it for $4 but I know it probably would have cost $20 or $30. All my favourite bowls and cups are made by her so I was delighted. Tried to stop for coffee but the place we wanted to stop at was closed oh well. Made up for it by stopping at a casino we very seldom ever go to. I was so pleased because I won $15. Huge bucks for me as I usually lose and I only bet small. One of those days when I won lots and then knew when to quit. Both Ed and I came home feeling like we'd had a great day.

I'm still scanning slides, I think it's been about a week now. I'd say I'm about 50% done. Fun to look back at those old days. Once I have them all scanned and organized I'll be so pleased. One of those chores that has been hanging over my head.

    Have a great evening,

    Jeri

Morning girls. I just want to let JACKIE know that she is right once again in her weather forecast for our region. The weatherman says a "polar vortex" will be over us at the weekend, with winter conditions! Batten down the hatches SHIRLEY! Enough from me, because this dire forecast is having me scurry to the garage to dig out the old shopping buggy and scarper to the stores before I'm "snowed in". Say it's not so!

Patsy .. imagine the slowest lumbering dinosaur roaming the planet with laptop under arm and that's me.. i don't have a clue even though i was a vision mixer in a previous life!

Buzz .. Having taken a screwdriver to the back and checked for a driver update i've now ordered a usb keyboard as i tend to agree a virus would more likely take the whole keyboard out!

Already worn out on screen keyboard so will wish everyone a good day.

Good day all! We've had some rain but for now the sun is shining. Later on we are promised more rain, possibly storms so I am happy to go out soon. Plan on meeting up with a friend for some tea and chatter.

    Jackie, nice typing!!!!

Anne, hope you are all stocked up now.

    Buzz, love your new haircut.

Jeri, your car trip sounds like just the perfect day.

Patsy, did you watch any of that movie? I've heard little about it. Meanwhile, I finally got to watch "The Intern" (thanks to the library). Cute movie. Quite the fiction of happily ever after as far as I'm concerned but cute.

Sandy, bubbles and a stick. Sounds great. No great technology or fancy things needed for a good time. Heck, I would have joined in and played with a stick too!!

Shirley, a stunningly beautiful dog. Thank you for posting that photo.

Chris, more power to you on your work to become even more healthy.

    Phoebe, hello my friend.

    Laura, are you doing ok??

    Well, time to run along.

    Hugs.

Patsy - When I make my bean soup, I make a big pot for the family. Then, after I dip my serving, I add some seriously spicy sauce to my bowl! Good stuff!

Buzz - Love the hair cut!

Sorry to hear about all the bad weather out there. I’m pretty thrilled that things have been okay here for a bit. Lots to do in the office today and a few errands to break up the monotony. Wishing everyone a wonderful day.

According to the news, the bad weather is coming to Georgia tomorrow. Yes, we are home. I had a free day today, I thought. When we got home last night, we had no electricity in just one room! The electrician is repairing that now, and I'll get back to my laundry when he is done.
Buzz, this is the style for you, it looks great! How is the swelling? I don't want to be critical, but I have wondered about the high calorie foods prepared at your place. Do they offer food for special diets? Maybe the new nurse practitioner can mention it.
Jackie, I am clueless about what to do with a crazy keyboard. When I have issues, I usually try Google search. I love a wireless keyboard vs the tiny laptop keyboard. I makes lots more typos using my laptop. Say hello to all your menagerie from mine. ♥
Molly was a beautiful dog. That silky fur! Thank you all for sharing your photos.
Hoping everyone is feeling better and looking forward to warm days. It's not too much longer for any of us!
I sound like a repeat from last year, but it is all things yellow time here. I love open windows, so I'll dust more often.
Goofy husband is telling the electrician we have switches that don't operate anything! I had to interrupt to show them what they belong to. Never add more money to the bill!
Tomorrow is dentist day for us, and Friday we have doctor appts. I actually forgot to get my labwork done! I'm going to get it done on Friday morning and just get the results via the internet.
    Time to pay the bill!

Oh, I'm in tears, such a brilliant long magnificent post...LOST...up in someone's cloud...right before my eyes! We're dashing down for early dinner since we missed lunch at the ophthalmologist's (says mine are like a 30 year old's, except for my cataract implants!) . Possibly I'll get back, but we're having my favorite current events leader tonight and I might return exhausted!
PHOEBE, you sound like spring! Hurray! Everyone else , love you all!

Buzz! Did I mention that you are one "good looking gal?" Your hair cut is the one I always ask for but never seem to get.

Oh talk about spoiler alert...The Angry Eight, the movie was sooooo bad even John couldn't stomach it and he loves westerns. Remember we exercise to movies and John cut his exercises short and came upstairs early. Something he never does. Just a bit of a bad review from our in-house movie critic. "Peeyew!"

Feeling guilty about our lovely spring day. We even had coffee on the deck this morning. Hope you all will be enjoying lovely weather soon as well. We will be interviewing our first possible doggie fur family member. She must get along with MoMo and our son's two dogs. More on that as the drama continues.

Buzz - I share your pain with the lost post. I lost a few long posts some time back. So, just to be safe, when I'm feeling inspired to write a longer post, I put it in a Word document and when it's done, I copy/paste it to the thread. That's saved me a few times, especially when kids or husband come in and interrupt while I'm in the middle of writing something.

So excited that the 2015 business year is basically ready for my son's tax accountant tomorrow. I need to get her to help me with a couple of QuickBooks entries that I wasn't sure how to input. So exited that's almost behind me. I'm so ready to move on with the fun stuff - like gardening, house projects, and hanging out in the camper some. :D
    Sweet dreams everyone,

A glorious day so after a stroll across the moors i've been getting down to some storm damage repairs, cups of tea on the swing seat and just completed the task of potting up 46 onions for the allotment. I must now take George for his evening constitutional and think about what meal to prepare. i'm charging up a small tablet to use until keyboard arrives because this hunt and peck form of typing is excruciating!

Buzz I would have loved to be a fly on the wall for that current affairs chat!

Must go, George giving me longing looks

Darn, I had the wrong date on current events. Instead there was a history meeting and wow! The personal secrets we learned about our presidents from Kennedy through Clinton were fascinating! Makes me wonder if the Donald is that much off track !!! La Liz (current events) comes for an extra session nextWednesday night so , JACKIE, fly over and feel welcome on our auditorium wall!
My housekeeper came today after over a month of our problems and her health keeping my place looking like pigpen status! What a pleasure----and she knows how to fold bottom fitted sheets with elastic all around so they look gorgeous! Who cares if I must redo undusted areas? She even moved clutter for me to sort (my biggest problem!) and got our new exercise chair to fit in the den near the TV! Wanna bet on our using it?
Two o'clock and I better sneak in some lunch as I find I gain weight if I miss a meal!
MARCELLA, I usually start my posts in Notebook (I'm kind of dumb about Word) but was too lazy yesterday, darn it!
PATSY, thank you, dear, you made my day! And thank you for warning us about that movie! Mike loves anything with a horse in it, whereas I prefer different movies about human relationships. His favorite was John Wayne, so I would disappear for a few hours!
My mail order pharmacy is permitting me to return a prescription that made me agonizingly ill
last night. They sent the one pharmaceutical company that I knew I couldn't tolerate, and they knew it, too! Keeping my fingers crossed that they send the proper one now!
OK, better get MY papers ready for tomorrow and our accountant's visit. April Fool's Day? Oh dear!

Anne - the polar vortex is coming our way! Of course, Saturday I have a choir performance which
I have to travel on the QE twice. Once for rehearsal and once for performance. Also Isaac's birthday
party on Sunday in Mt. Albert. It couldn't come at a worse time.

Phoebe- Glad you are home safe and sound and back with your fur babies.

Jackie What in the heck were you typing, I couldn't make heads or tails out of it. I hope you get
    that keyboard fixed soon. :D

Marcella You and Patsy seem to have the best Spring weather so far, besides Buzz who always
    has great weather. B)

Buzz- Love the hair-do it really suits you.

Lin - We are having rain here too and wind. Warm today but that won't last.

Jeri Sounds like a fun day with you and Ed. I have some pottery at home here too. There is
a pottery place up by our cottage and I will have to visit it again for some more pieces.

Sandy- Another fun day with Robby. I wish I could see Isaac that much but
that's what happens when your daughter moves so far away. I will see him on
Sunday no matter what the weather.

SHIRLEY, if the polar vortex really happens, please think twice about travelling! There's always another day to sing, and Isaac will have many more birthdays for you to enjoy. It's hard to believe today however that it's going to be THAT bad. Today, It's rained non stop but you are right, warm at 13 degrees.

Happy Thursday!! :) Funny kind of day, sunny one minute, thundering the next and sunny once again. The temps are great but decided to just stay on the balcony with Robby in case it started raining. I was going to run to Walmart but decided I am too tired, I even ordered stamps online so I didn't have to go to the post office. Lazy, aren't I?

Anne, the weathermen seem to make things much worse than they really get, I hope that is the case in your and Shirley's case.

Shirley, I know how you feel with Issac being far away, all my other grandchildren are out of state so I don't see them as much. I remember how I cried when my daughter moved with my granddaughter when she was two years old. I had been sitting for her but then her husband got a new job and off they went. I am glad Issac is within driving distance, I know you love him so much.

Buzz, love your new do, you look amazing. I think all families have secrets that they would prefer not be shared as I bet the presidents wish their personal lives were their own. We all love gossip but sometimes it is just a bit too much. I hope your get the right prescription with the right company, to be that ill sounds like a lawsuit.

Jackie, sounds great to hear you had a glorious day after all the terrible weather you have benn having. Just check in and say hi until your keyboard arrives.

Marcella, I am so glad I don't have to do any taxes, I leave that to Babe since we still file jointly. I do not look forward to the day I will have to do them myself.

Patsy, don't feel guilty about beautiful weather, we might be jealous but we are happy for you.
Good luck with your trial with the new doggie, I hope it works out for all.

Phoebe, I do hope your weather wasn't too bad today, I know Tennessee got hit hard but not sure about Georgia. I too, google everything that I don't understand, it really is helpful.

Lin, I can actually see you playing with Robby in the dirt and stones, he would love it. He is such a typical boy and makes me laugh out loud.

Jeri, I am sure things changed in 40 years, but great memories were probably renewed.
Glad you found the pottery you like and got a great deal in the process.

Time for a glass of wine and catch up on my games, have a great evening.

Good evening. Just a short note, I keep losing my Internet connection.

Had a busy day. Ran to the store, went to the program at the library and ended up being the rule-keeper for the gals playing UNO. It was a new deck and they said the rules had changed over the years. Anyway, it was crazy! 4 gals were playing and one hand took well over an hour. Hilarious. Came home early, listened to the commentary on the USDA release, made some lunch, listened to Dr. MacDougall, more cooking. Tomorrow I hope to get to Trader Joe's.

Weather is odd here. We had rain, we had wind, we had hail, he had sunshine. Who knows what's next. I guess rain with a bit of snow? Then in the 70s on Sunday.

I don't have any April fool's day pranks.

Going to take my book and go upstairs for the evening.

    Hugs.

Didn't sleep well last night. So today has been a bit less energetic. But it was "errand day." I met with my son's tax accountant this morning and picked up my milk this afternoon. I also picked up and delivered a friend's milk and egg order to her today as her mother wasn't doing well and my friend didn't want to leave her mom home alone. It was nice to stay for a bit and enjoy a cup of coffee with my friend before continuing to the Whole Foods store for the rest of my food purchases.

This evening was pleasant. Both sons were at a music rehearsal at church and my husband called to tell me he was going to stop by a friends retirement party at work before coming home. It was 2 hours of quiet bliss, during which time, I did absolutely nothing! Hoping to sleep better tonight.

I won the mega millions and I've been busy counting the money! April Fools!!
Supposed to be asleep, fasting for the forgotten labwork. It was a long Thursday. Dentist, visit with Jim's brother and sister in law, drive home. Friday is one Dr appt for each of us, and a little shopping.
Storms are passing through the state tonight. Had a few so far, but it isn't over yet. We had none of it on Thursday.
Hope you are ready for this vortex thing. I've got to Google that. Night

Happy Friday friends! It's taken a long time for my old tablet to wind itself up and update programmes but goodness, what a joy to have a keyboard that works! Phoebe I did a google search when my laptop began to play up and found a site that showed how to get inside and tighten up connections on the keyboard hard drive but when I borrowed a special scewdriver and took the back cover off the inside was completely different! It does seem to be a common fault with Asus laptops, something I wish I'd learned before I purchased mine!

After yesterday's glorious sunshine today is the opposite, grey, overcast and a very cold wind that had us shivering as we walked across the moors. Still an enjoyable stroll with our dogs wrestling and chasing each other but with so many lambs being born we have to keep them on their leads.

Anne  Sorry if I influenced your vortex and sent it in your direction but at least you had some warning to get out for supplies because I remember one hit north America last year and caused havoc. I'll keep an eye on our weatherman's shoulder to see what else might appear over Canada..... that's if you want to know!

Phoebe ~ Aww, now what would you want mega millions for?? Oh yes, retirement, maybe a cruise, lots of treats for your furry friends.... the list is probably endless!

Buzz ~ Who knows how many more astounding statements can be uttered by the Trump between now and next Wednesday for you to analize at your meeting never mind the whole phenomenon!! Do let me know.

Lin ~ Busy as ever and so nice to read about you getting out and about having some fun.

Sandy ~ Wine and games.... that's the best way to relax after a busy day babysitting, not that Robby can be classed a baby anymore!

Time for my lunch and then some housework. I must also check with my neighbour as we had planned a trip to the allotment later today but that discussion was had when it was a lot warmer!

I will have to get back to the pound a week club soon because this morning I had to squeeze into a pair of newly washed jeans and know I've been enjoying a few too many snacks between meals, something I had stopped doing for the past few years and a slippery slide if I don't have a serious talk to myself!

Hello all. Well I started my day by picking up trash from my upturned garbage bin! The raccoons I guess! The pickings would be pretty lean though because I really don't have much trash these days. I guess the bin was more to their liking when Tabitha had left overs! Now talking about critters I watched a program last night about vet bills. This poor young student who lives locally had a dog who swallowed a ball. It cost her $6000 to have the removal operation. She had to borrow money for this and then her dog swallowed another ball. Of course she couldn't find the cash a second time so.....end of doggie. Horrible story to tell you but we love our dogs and so.....be warned! Our little Cinders is forever running around with all sorts of stuff she finds, it's a doggie "thing".
I love the weather warnings JACKIE, re vortex and such, LIN often keeps me posted on happenings in her area, and these happenings usually drift over to us in a day or two. Actually I find it rather interesting these weather patterns and of course things often drift up from MARIEs neck of the woods.
I loved everybody's stories and photos. Pretty hair BUZZ. Good luck with the new dog PATSY. What a lucky little dog that will be! I got my tax refund today MARCELLA, oh happy day!
Have a super day (before the snow hits us SHIRLEY?) everyone,
    Anne.
