SANDY - How do you put pictures on this new format of MFP? I hear its easier.
Hello Sneakers,
I am kind of crazy busy right now so I won't comment until things settle down.
I tried to catch up with posts but there are so many and so little time.
I just got back from Yoga and a 10 min meditation. I had a hard time winding down today with all I have to do but I did need it. It felt good after I left.
I am doing laundry, I have to wrap 3 boxes as gifts for the float. Change my sheets on the bed, get gas in the car and get some groceries. Dave is out of town tonight so I hope to get some things done tonight. I will try and keep up but the parade is Saturday and our
float from the sailing club still has to be decorated. We are going Tuesday night to get things started. After that I can concentrate on baking some cookies.
We ended up buying a new tree this year, unexpected, our old one finally bit the dust. Dave was so frustrated trying to put it up. The new one is bigger and has white on the tips on the branches it looks really nice all decorated. We did that last night after getting back from a church concert to see two our friends sing. One of the gals gave us free tickets.
There was more than one choir and the singing was beautiful.

Hi Marie,
I just signed up for your 20 lbs. until Easter Challenge.
Let's do this !
Shirley0 -
OK Shirley we can do it.Thanks you0
-
Sandy...I am glad that you are having a wonderful time. Just relax and enjoy.
Lin....You know so much about technology. That is wonderful.
Marie...love your new profile picture.
I am having a bit of a disappointing day. I applied for a different job. I knew that I wouldn't get it but finding out today for sure has me bummed.
0 -
Becky - I am sorry about your day. I understand what you mean....there have been many things that I know will not come my way but in a little corner of my heart I have hope that I am wrong and then the knowing for certain that I didn't get something is very disappointing. Praying tomorrow is a better day.
Thanks for updating us Sandy!
Shirley - you are the busiest lady! Your sailing club takes a lot of time doesn't it? So many activities but lots of fun.
I got lots of stuff at Costco today. I got my spare batteries restocked---I used up most of my batteries in the last week. I , have a new snow shovel now (the old one was pretty beat up with the metal strip on the edge catching on everything). Also picked up a new fire extinguisher (seems like a good thing to have with all the cooking I do!) and a battery operated lantern in case the lights go out. It's pretty nice---looks just like a coleman camping lantern and it is so bright!!!!
Watching that ABC show showing those over-the-top light displays. Amazing!!!!!!
Talk to you soon.

Thanks Lin for the loving words. I really did need to heard them. God has a plan for my life and I just have to be patient for Him to open the right door for me. I always pray that if I am not to get a particular job that the door be shut and that is what has been happening.
Lin...I am so impressed with our organized you are in getting ready for the winter months. Good for you. (*)
Shirley...you are so busy. Stay that way..it will keep you young.0 -

Happy Tuesday! It is a sunny day with temps going up in the 60's. Not sure that is warm enough to sit in the sun but we will see. My niece arrived and we ended up playing some games so it was a fun night. Tonight we are going to a fun fish place that has live alligators and decorated Christmas fish,
Shirley, above the reply box is a little box with a turned down corner. Click on it and click choose files to find the picture from your files you want to post. It is that simple.
Time for breakfast, have a great day.

One Day at a Time0 -
Good morning Marie. I am an early riser. Usually up with my husband at about 4:00. Or maybe not. lol. I had Best Oats steel cut oatmeal for breakfast.0
-
Good morning. I've been vacuuming---achoo! Having breakfast today, homemade soy yogurt with frozen blueberries and some of my homemade (not-very-good) granola.
Becky - once upon a time I got up at 4 or 4:30 each morning to walk my dogs before going to work. No dogs, no job, no early rising!
Sandy - the temps sound better but believe it or not we are expecting 50 degrees later in the week.
Marie - good morning my friend. Is today grocery day for you?
Barbie - dancing, dancing, dancing. You are providing happiness for so many people. Excellent.
Buzz - how are you doing?
Shirley - I am sorry you took a fall............I hope you aren't hurt badly.
Hugs to all!!!
Lin (achoo!)0 -
I see a birthday listed for today: Bada_bing...Dec 9
Happy Birthday!

Morning,
Sandy, thanks for the instructions, I did see that but didn't know what it was for.
I will try and post our Christmas tree when I take a picture.
I fell yesterday on the patio after straightening out the bird feeder. I think the squirrels are having fun with it. So I tripped and fell spread eagle on the patio. I hurt my knee and landed on my left side. Of course my sore back, side. I took an Epsom bath last night and feel better today but a little sore.
My Yoga instructor said yesterday, did anyone see the full moon on Saturday night?
Well I did, it was right in front of me at our dinner Saturday night looking out the windows.
She said it is a time for some people to go a little crazy and to be careful because that is a time for accidents. Hence, the fall on the patio. How did she know?
I had my chiropractic apt this morning and had an adjustment. Good thing. I booked a massage for next week and that will end my prescription with the doctor for my massages that are covered by insurance.
I will be dusting the downstairs today, too many things interrupting my routines now.
Tonight will be getting all the things down from the attic at the sailing club and start
decorating the float. I hope we get done tonight or we will have to come back on Wednesday to finish.
Tom called me last night (Elli's husband) to join them for breakfast on Thursday morning because it is Elli's birthday. So different not buying her a birthday and Christmas gift this year. I said I will try with all that is going on, but I should just go.
Have a great day and don't stress out too much for the holidays coming.

Lin...still working and still have two dogs.
Shirley...you are so funny. The full moon caused your fall !! Seeing your chiropractor and getting a massage...you will be fine.
I am on lunch and logging in my food. I don't have to worry about logging exercise. My Fitbit does that for me.0 -
Shirley how are you feeling after your fall? Probable sore hope you are not having to much pain.
0 -
Becky, I get up about 3:00 every morning to walk my dogs. I walk them in the big field behind the house to "do business" then come in for breakfast and my time for spiritual reading, then take them out again one at a time for a longer walk (about 45 minutes per dog) and like to walk while it's dark and no one is around so we have quiet and privacy. I listen to music and motivational speakers on my phone with earbuds and it is a very meditational spiritual time for me. Getting up that early allows me to do all the things I want to even on days when I have a 9:00 dance class.
Shirley, sorry to hear about your fall..best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Time for me to think about going upstairs. It's been a long day but my door alarms are all fixed up now I think. Smoke detector has a new battery. Fire extinguisher is hung on the wall in the stairwell to the basement. A small safe is now ordered. I am sure I will be unhappy with how tiny it is but at least I will have something. The handyman will bolt this one to the basement floor--we discussed it this afternoon. I read through the comments and it seems many people ended up purchasing TWO of these but a gal's gotta start somewhere. It should arrive within a couple of weeks. The larger safe I was looking at just wouldn't work for the handyman as it was so heavy but the size seemed just perfect to me. He would only have installed that in the garage. To get the delivering company to put it in the basement cost more than I could afford. Life is compromise.
Well, onward to other things.
Nite all.
Lin0 -
MARIE, onward and downward and best of luck for -20/Easter! Hugs to you, too, sis!
BECKY, there's a better job waiting around the corner!
SANDY, I'm concentrating on raising our temps for you this week! It's 57 here now!
SHIRLEY, ouch! No more patio dives!
BARBIE, when do you get your 7 hours of sleep???
LIN, your compromises are generally excellent! Wise decision regarding basement vs. garage!
Lovely evening tonight, with December Birthday Night dinner (yummy tenderloin filet or salmon, with loads of good vegetables. I resisted the birthday cake, but enjoyed a croissant with my coffee! The went up to an marvelous concert sung by a tenor and a soprano who gave me a whole new respect for opera arias besides singing the theme from Phantom of the Opera! And Carmen's Habanera. I usually am not a fan but this gal was superb and not at all shrill ( and young and pretty didn't hurt, either!). Spent good part of the afternoon with no phone or internet. Comcast out for a change! Their billing is driving me nuts, as they never honor their agreements! They more than doubled the rate they offered me last month! So back to the phone tomorrow! GRRRrrrrr! And now to bed!

Happy Wednesday! The sun is shining but it only going to be around 59 degrees. We are going to go to St. Augustine in lieu of sitting in the sun. Kristy said it is very interesting, after we will go see the ocean. Tonight we are doing some Christmas Caroling with kids from my daughters Church.
Last night we went to Clark's Fish Camp. It is a restaurant that has numberous stuffed animals and a live alligator. Food choices include alligator, shark, soft crab, ostrich, etc. I personally had grilled tilapia but my daughter had a sampler plate and I tried some of hers. It is all fried so basically tasted the same. I was happy with my choice

Good Morning
I am typing on my Tablet very different from typing on keys and now on glass and making more mistakes. I keep hitting the "quote" so excuse me for that.
We got the float all decorated for the parade on Saturday last night so now I can concentrate on baking and wrapping. I am only doing a few cookies so the girls have some to take home. We had about 10 people there to help which gets difficult when you have everyone having different ideas of what we should do. Anyway, its done now and the temps should be around 40F for the parade which is better than last year which was 15F.
I got up late today, I just needed the sleep, Barbie I don't know of how you get up so early. I hope the dogs appreciate it
Well I just posted on this tablet and only half of my post appeared. I guess there is a learning curve on this new method.
So I will continue on the lap top, so frustrating.
We are supposed to get some snow starting tomorrow. It figures I am supposed to have lunch with my friend Donna and that means crossing the border. I will see how that goes, I may be cancelling.
BECKY- I just wanted to say welcome back to the group, we missed you.
BUZZ - You sure do some interesting things in your new complex.
You are one lucky lady!
MARIE - Just wanted to say you are doing fantastic on your new meal plan. I am looking forward to the next Challenge for Easter.
LIN - Now you are safe with all the precautions you are taking. I would do the same if I was living alone. When is the next trip to see Dad?
SANDY - You look like you are having fun with the family. What a pretty place all decorated for Christmas. I asked Dave to take a picture of our tree last night but he forgot. I will get him to do it tonight so I can post it.

Just checking in. I am still fighting this awful bug. Darn, I think it is just a bad cold but I am going to the doctor this afternoon about my sore throat.
We have our grandson staying with us for 2 nights. He is 11 and so nice. He has a cold too and doesn't feel like doing too much either. Good thing as Ed and I both feel crappy. What a nice Kid. He is sniffing around as much as we are. LOL
He bought himself a robotic dinosaur and we've had lots of fun watching him do it. We watched a funny movie last night too,. Grandkids are great.
See you all later,
Jeri0 -

Lovely Shirley. I see some boats.0
-
Lin, things seem pretty organized at your house, you've done a great job
Buzz, I get between 6 and 7 hours of sleep every night because I aim to be in bed by 7:30. On the nights I have to be up later, I take a nap in the afternoon. I have the same length of day as most people, I just start earlier and end earlier.
Sandy, beautiful picture....you are such a youthful looking grandma
Shirley, the parade sounds like so much fun....your tree is beautiful.
Marie, Jake and I stay home a lot, too, and enjoy each other's company. We are best friends with each other. I know how sad you are about Sammy....he was such a good companion.
Jeri, sorry to hear that you are ill......I guess that means no long walks outdoors
Besides going to dance class, walking the dogs, and riding the exercise bike, I spent a lot of time on the phone and the computer dealing with prescription renewals, new health insurance plans, bill paying, and a lot of miscellaneous stuff. It feels great to cross things off the "to do" list.

Good evening! So glad to read all of your updates. I had another busy day........highlights included a trip to Whole Foods, an online cozy mystery readers party on Facebook for several hours, a lovely conversation with the hospice social worker and more sorting through the bins and bins of Christmas decorations in the basement. I've sorted out some to give to a friend and many more to go to Goodwill. Progress!
Hugs.

Oh and I do plan to leave very early on FRIDAY morning--first to get a haircut and then to visit my dad. I think I will buy him a package of donut holes tomorrow......he keeps them for several days so i think I can buy them a bit early. They are easier for him to hold and eat........0
