Hi friends. I am home. Still lots of flu at the facility. The lady across the hall from my dad is getting better now (she was the first person to get the flu) but the lady next door died yesterday.
Phoebe - glad he looks stronger than you thought. Maybe I've not described this condition very well. Meanwhile since I was there last he has given up on many things........he no longer tries to brush his teeth, comb his hair, wash his hands, cut up his food, etc. He still does not want them to feed him. Anyway, he tries fewer and fewer things each week. He did eat the seedless Holiday grapes I brought him and two mini-donuts. I guess that was my Christmas miracle for the day. He only said--what are you doing here? Otherwise, he didn't talk to me, can't hear, the new phone is useless. I've asked them to get new tubing for his hearing aids once the Holidays are over.
I hope you all had an enjoyable day today. Hugs.
Lin back to Central Iowa (where the roads were clear today and the temps moderate to warm!!)0 -

I had two dinners out yesterday---noon with Jake and a friend at our favorite Chinese restaurant and then a small supper at the hospital with my friend who works in the emergency room---she recently split up with her husband and was feeling sad and glad to have a friend drop by to share her meal break.0

Marie...you will love your Fitbit. I love mine. I wanted to join a Fitbit group here at MFP but they are asking for something that I don't know about. A code or something? Oh well, I will just stick with my friends here. I hope that everyone had a wonderful day yesterday. I know that I did.0

Becky, the users over on that group (at least I think it's the same group) has a separate thread for each type of Fitbit and they want you to share your Fitbit user profile. Here's a response to someone who didn't know how to find their profile (you don't do it on the MFP site, you do it on the Fitbit site)----

How do I find my user profile please
Login to fitbit.com, on the top right hand side you will see three icons, Gear (settings), Envelope (Notifications), and your profile. Open your profile and you can then see your public url

Happy Friday!! I hope everyone who celebrated had a wonderful Christmas, mine was terrific. I still have another gathering on Saturday and then my cousin will be coming to stay with me Monday night through Thursday. Robby's First Christmas was a success and I was so happy to be with him both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Here are a couple of my favorite photos of him and his cousins.
Babe and I are going to the movie to see the Gambler today so I will try to check in later.
Have a wonderful day.

Great pictures Sandy!
That was very kind of you Barbie! You are a great friend..!! But we knew that.
Jackie - how are you my friend? Are you home?
Marie - I see you've changed your profile picture back to those Cowboys. Is there a game coming up soon?
Best wishes to all.
Today is my late mother's birthday. Never her favorite day. She always felt slighted that it was around Christmas. So sad for her. Anyway, for my mom:
Tomorrow is Laura's birthday.........

happy birthday Laura and Jerry!
I have a new keyboard for my tablet, I am one happy girl. No more typing on glass. Grrrr!
We had a lovely Christmas with family and I took some pictures so maybe I can get one here when it gets into the computer.
Kathy and Fraser left around 1:30 after breakfast and since it is boxing day they are looking for some furniture for the new house on their way to another dinner.
My sister emailed me and said she had a really good time with the family.
Just relaxing today and I am trying to get caught up with MFP.
Have a great day!

I've eaten far too much but thoroughly enjoyed myself and have come home from a visit and meal with friends carrying a large doggy bag of leftovers that should last me a couple of days so I only have to cook fresh veggies.... nice!
Lin ~ My mother's birthday was December 21st, the shortest day and I remember her telling me how upset she would be as a child because she thought is was literally a shorter day so felt cheated!! Although she died in 1980 I'm like you and never forget her birthday.
Barbie ~ Such a giving way to spend Christmas evening but that's no surprise
Sandy ~Wonderful photos and isn't it terrific to think they will probably be there for each other as they grow up! Enjoy the movie with Babe.
Becky ~ So good to read you had an enjoyable day yesterday. Can't help with Fitbits but Lin does seem to understand!
Raining and cold outside but we should miss snow forecast for some areas of the UK and I'm not disappointed! Time to settle down for the evening in front of the fire. I hope you all have a lovely Boxing day and stay safe.

OK what is boxing day. Is it a holiday?
I can just see you and George by your nice cozy fireplace.
I seen your Queen on TV the other day and just loves those hat she wears. always matches her clothing.
Sandy What a three- o All dress in their red clothes. Roddy may be the youngest but he is definite the biggest. But they are all just darling.

Marie -If you are interested Boxing Day is also a holiday in the UK and Canada. It is called Boxing Day because the church collecting boxes in the old days where opened up and the cash collected from the Christmas Day services was shared amongst the poor if my memory serves me right.
Pink peril - me and mine hail originally from the north of England and we so envy your snow. None here in Ontario, Canada! My grandkids are Canucks.
Sandy - what beautiful babies! Enjoy, they grow so quickly. I wonder if I'll get to see a great grand child!0 -
Sandy - Love babies are so cute and so festive with their outfits.
-
Jackie - Have seen Love Actually, its an annual Christmas show at our house. We love all the English stars in it. No rain here but we DID NOT have a white Christmas this year.
Lin - Your Dad looks quite healthy from the picture, but with what you are saying lately he is not doing well and seems to be digressing. Sorry to hear about this. I hope you had a good Christmas. The picture of your younger self is Beautiful! You are very attractive.
Marie - Hope your Christmas was a success. Did you stay on your plan? I have to say I did not. Your picture with you and Jerry is so sweet.
Kristina is making vegetarian chili for dinner right now. Boy am I lucking out on not having to cook.
Enjoy your evening.
