Ok, Ed...I did some reading last night. Now I understand the problem. Once, and only once did I ever give up sweets/chocolate..I was about 12 or so and in our Methodist church people who wanted to participate gave up something for lent. They really pushed the idea with my youth group. Believe me I was on a 'Bunny Watch' that year.
Yes Roger I too hope that the wealth of blooming going on in my yard is a good sign of Spring!...and yet that nagging picture of daffodils blooming in the snow won't leave the back of my mind..... Even though we are looking for some nice temps and rain. Tomorrow may be the pick of the bunch..forecast as 72 degrees and foggy!
Ok, I had to take a break there to check on laundry, which led to grabbing the sweeper becasue of lint on the floor, which led to doing the hallway, my bedroom, around the pet food dishes, dishes, ok, unload the hand washing drainer from last night,,,,etc,,,,
Ah Ha!! The United States just called me! Sometimes the things that come up on my phone are amusing!
Thats about the 3rd notification from this web site telling me you two are talking which means I will have lots of links, video's, cartoons etc to look at later.

Most of the others were in my news feed from Apple. Except for the sick lady who woke up from a coma I suspect speaking a foreign language...I've heard of that happening before. The massage place is finally OPEN...$60 for an hour massage. Good price.
My lunch of tofu and vegetables with a fried spring roll and a bowl of soup. Also made it to the gym this morning! Now, I'm ready for some rest. Only I came home turned on the TV to hear about the shooting in a school in Broward County FLA. 14 injured students went to hospital, and there are fatalities That is so sad. Those kids will be traumatized for a very long time, if not for life.
Well time to head to the kitchen and make use of the bag of WAHOO 1$ tomatoes, and the bag of 5 nice looking portabella mushrooms, also a WAHOO special. Will cook one for breakfast, and another for something tomorrow....not sure after that! LOL!!! I may turn into a fungi...
Later...
While I was at the ShopRite I did see a lot of Valentines day Balloons and Flowers flowing out the door.
The news I saw showed that the 14 must have been a preliminary count as the later news showed more than that dead and to many injured.

I do not ever recall shootings in school when I was in school.
Good Luck using the Tomatoes before they go bad.

Howdy y'all. It's thrilling Thursday. 60 out there now with an expected high of 69 and 10% chance of precipitation. May actually get some laundry done today, and get out to the store. We'll see.
Dinner last night was rather disappointing delivery. Someone at the Indian restaurant we ordered from, kind of overcooked the appetizers, though they still tasted OK, and then fell down with the cardamom in both of the main dishes we ordered. The rice was good...and the Aloo Motor Gobi (not my spelling) was better than the Malai Kufta, which J almost couldn't eat, but managed to power his way through anyway. Not sure how the leftovers will fare. Maybe I can eat the Malai Kufta and he can eat the Aloo Motor Gobi...hate to waste "good" food. On the other hand I'm not sure this counts as particularly "good" food, though I'm sure starving children in India would love to have it. If they want to come around to pick it up, they're welcome to it!

Hi
I'm back from walking again and no cents. The temperature this morning was 55 on the porch and 57 on the cable news channel. The forecast for overnight of rain happened and the rain is forecast to fall throughout most of the day in a on and off fashion. I geared up for the rain and wore a light long sleeve T-Shirt and was still sweating, most likely due to the humidity.
I tried the Limited Time Dinner Entree called Chicken Provencal
Three Huge Brussels Sprouts, Chunks of Chicken, Asparagus, Zucchini in a Buttery lemon Garlic Sauce. It was tasty and I am happy I ordered three of them...

That is disappointing when You pay good money for something that disappoints
My brother used to have no problems with left overs that no one in the house ate, they got put out where the Dog and cats did a eat em up. However there was one dish they ordered to try from the local Chinese that had Lotus in it that even the Dogs sniffed at and left untouched.

Which is sad. At least that is true in Atlanta...I don't know that its true in some of the other Red Cross Regions.
And over dinner I will watch how flat ware and glass cookware is made. Have either of you ever seen glass cooking pots? My Mom used to have a set. They were sorta heavy, but they were great for cooking. I don't at the moment remember the company that made them, or as a kid I may have never paid attention or thought to look!
Ok, outdoors, here I come..
Later...
Sadly I suspect that most areas of the country employers are now considered as disposable.
I feel bad for the current crop of workers entering the workforce.
Interesting concept, Glass Pots, Fragile but likely easy to clean. The only glassware for cooking in the house are Pie pans and Rectangular Baking Dishes.

Howdy y'all. It's fantastic Friday! 64 out there now with an expected high of 72 and 20% chance of precipitation.
I did get a little laundry done yesterday, and even FOLDED. But it's still sitting on top of the dryer so can't claim total completion. I'm surprised the cats haven't made themselves at home on it. If they haven't. But they don't spend a lot of time in the laundry room and when they do it's usually to sit in the window and look out, hoping to see birds, or the occasional bunny.
Didn't get out to any grocery but might (MIGHT) today.
I don't need to say any leftover Valentine candy for sale. I just don't.

Hi
I'm back from walking again and no cents. The temperature this morning was 28 on the porch and 29 on the cable news channel. The forecast is for overnight snow into early tomorrow morning. The forecasts I saw on Friday was for Sundays snow depth to be 1 to 3 inches on some and 5 or 6 inches on other weather forecasts.
I tried the Limited Time Dinner Entree called Yellow Curry Sauced Chicken & Rice @ 210 calories
It was tasty despite being a bit hot, I was able to tolerate it and the heat level reminds me of the Chicken and Vegetable Stir-Fry. Once the second one I ordered is used up I likely will not Re-Order them. On the good side it was not so hot that I had to pass it on to my brother

All good points. I had watched a special some years ago about the about the Yellowstone Super Volcano and its effects if it does erupt.
I hear a Rooster(s) crowing on some of the walks depending on where I am.

Stopped at Whole Foods, got my fried tofu, and a small amount of another tofu dish that looked interesting. Got home ate, took a short nap, then out the door to pick up small bits of branches, twigs, etc. and pick up all the trimmings from yesterdays shrub shortenings!
Tomorrow lunch with my niece Leslie and I think hockey is on at the Olympics tomorrow also. I will watch that for sure.

52 out there now with an expected high of 68 and 50% chance of precipitation. The sidewalk is wet so I'm going to personally adjust that 50% for our house anyway, to 100%.
A friend might come over today and want to go thrift store and farmers market hopping. That's one might. And we might go to a late Valentine's day party tonight, which is another might. I'd probably want to buy something to bring to the party as I don't think I have the right ingredients here to make any of my usual party dishes, though I'm sure Eduardo could whip up something from available ingredients.
Dishwasher is running, cats and I have been fed, but I do need to wash yeserday's cat bowls. I'm not sure if they are dishwashable, with their rubber (or silicone?) edged rims. I should look that up I suppose. I don't run the dishwasher every day, but on days that I DO it would be nice to just toss them in there instead of hand washing them. I only have two sets, which get alternately used each day. This lets me just slide in the fresh bowls as I slide out the prior day's bowls and can wash them when I get around to it.
I'd love a nap today but with all the MIGHTs, that might not happen.

Hi
I'm back from walking again and no cents. The temperature this morning was 34 on the porch and on the cable news channel. The forecast snow ended early overnight and they plowed around 2AM. The Footing was Good overall, I hit one slippery spot with one foot towards the end of the walk. The Snow that was left on the ground was getting crunchy sounding too. Then On my return home I saw that my Brother had nearly finished shoveling the Driveway so I grabbed the other shovel and tackled the sidewalk leading to the street. Despite the ordinance against parking on the streets when snow is falling to allow for the plowing I did pass several cars that the plows had to detour around
The scale was nicely lower than yesterday morning, again, It seems that the "Time-restricted eating" combined with a 100% NS plan is working really well so far. Whee And that is despite that we had the Bargain Price ham for Dinner with oven roasted Potato wedges and Oven Baked Asparagus cooked in the Cast Iron skillet in the oven at the same time the Potato wedges were cooking on the Cookie sheet that was sprayed with Olive Oil spray and some Montreal Seasoning sprinkled on the Potatoes, We had a Neighbor in for the meal too so the Afternoon passed easily.

Our snow started on time as predicted, which is unusual that they get the timing right TBH.
My Brother was saying that he is going to skip the Grocery Store as there is nothing urgently needed for today. The snow is forecast to vanish as the day warms up, We shall see if they are correct in that prediction. Looking out the windows the sun is bright in a cloudless sky. I did a run to the produce store Saturday for eggs, Potatoes, Asparagus, Mushrooms for my brother and baby Carrots for me while my brother did the post office run dropping off the Bills that came Friday and are due on March 1st. They sure gave a lot of time for us to pay the Part D payment
I suspect with regard to the Cats Bowls I would fire off a email or call the manufacturer.

Got to the restaurant for lunch a few minutes early, and sent Leslie a text that I was there. She in her mind had confused today with Nate's game tomorrow. Since she's in Marietta, there was no chance she could come meet me. So, I had a nice 30 mile trip, and no lunch! I could have gone in and eaten, BUT..I knew at home I had one last serving of the quart of Zucchini soup from my dinner at that chain veg. place in my refrigerator at home.came home and fixed a quick lunch, and then I decided a nice nap was in order! So, I'm having my 'second morning'!!!
Hopefully tomorrow mornings hockey game will happen as expected! Poor Leslie, I know she felt badly.
I think this afternoon was nice outside, as I slept...this morning it was only grungy misty, yuck
While I was in Alpharetta it rained hard in fairly short bursts, and same driving home til I was at about 141. Odd weather!
Need to go find Tom..I don't think HE would bring home a kitten...I can see how a female cat who's already had a litter might do that though. Anyhow, he went out the front door, which is unusual, so will he return to the front door, or the back porch as usual!
TIme to tackle dinner, and then continue watching the Olympics.
Later...
Hi Valerie
IMO most days do not go to plan
On the good side at least, You saved some money by going back home.
I'm sure You would be ecstatic if Tom brought home some kittens for You
Tom is a weird cat from what You have posted over time...
Enjoy the Game

Howdy y'all. It's scintillating Sunday!
47 out there now with an expected high of 66 and 50% chance of rain. We did have a nice afternoon yesterday, but on the way home from the party experienced more rain. The party was nice enough, about 28 people there I think. Lasagna and another pasta dish were the main courses and there were plenty of sides and desserts. I didn't bring anything this time but I did bake the frozen lasagna, using the host's oven.
The host apparently loves lasagna or maybe just thinks it's a handy dish for parties. Twice now, when we've been at his parties, I've been the one who actually baked the frozen lasagna. I have no issue with this at all. I'm not sure why he wants someone else to bake the lasagna, but I can do that. Maybe it takes just one thing off his party "to do" agenda, leaving him to attend to other details. We got there early, helping with other last minute details, and I got the lasagna in the oven right away, but it still went into the party time a bit.
There was plenty of other food to snack on, including the other hot pasta dish that a guest brought, so no one went hungry waiting for the lasagna. Unless they just chose to go hungry.
J and I really didn't eat much at the party. In fact, I don't think J ate anything. The host offered a rum and Coke right away, and I took one (Diet Coke), to sip while finishing up party preparations and then nibbled a few chips and some ham. Had one small taste of some potato salad, a few bites of chicken salad, and a few bites of various desserts.
After that it was just chatting and socializing while sipping on the rum and Coke and we left before the party fully ended, but not before a few others, so we weren't the early bird leavers.
We stopped for Thai food on the way home. I ate a cup of soup (Thom Ka Kai) and one bite of an entree, getting the rest for carryout. Lunch is assured today.
Need to get the last of yesterday's laundry folded today, and get out to the grocery. Hopefully I can get Eddie to do a little bit more housework today too, and get a nap in.
