Quick Hello! I'm running about an hour behind today.
Watched last night's Alabama elections..before sleep, during sleep as I'd wake, and again this morning. Very interesting to me.
Today I have no appointments! YEA!!! So I have all these chores, and groceries, and gym, and, and, and....
Simlax ! Most awful plant alive, (maybe exception is poison ivy?) Roger it grows in amongst shrubs, trees, etc...Ed's right you really can't just grab a vine and pull..(and if you have heavy leather gloves, and I do,) and you try to pull it or cut it off and pull it...the tendrils have wrapped all around the leafy parts of you plant, and you'll do major damage.....and you really can't spray it with Round Up or whatever because you'd kill your shrub, rose bush, etc. cutting it off only makes it send up twice as many new vines...it is in my azaleas, that I see out my kitchen window...the only good thing ? if there is a good to it...the stems stay green all winter, so if you can find an agreeable day to do outside chores, it can be distinguished from the shrub stems!
Down here its also called "Cats Paw"....for obviously good reason!!
Ok, heading for the shower, and out the door. Sunny, not very warm, but not as bad as yesterdays wind!! The kids at the gym watched me try to get from car to gym...I was being blown all over the place (parking lot)...didn't fall thank goodness, but surely buffeted about.
Will come back late and read, watch videos, and have a second laugh at the cartoons.

Hi
I'm back from walking this Morning in a light snowfall, It snowed overnight and so far there is over an inch of the white crud The temperature this morning was 25 on the porch and 24 on the cable channel. The wind chill from yesterday is now history
Whoo Hoo, AKA Whee, I'm in the money. The other day I had a Phone call that My money woes are over as I have been pre approved for a Payday loan and the next day I had a different phone call telling me that I was Pre Approved for a Loan. Naturally I was less than eager to bite on those scam calls.

Hi Valerie
If I said it was not a surprise to me, The Democratic Party put everything they have behind that election. Nuff Said.
That sounds like an extremely invasive plant. It sounds like a choice of damaging Your plants pulling it or having them strangle the plants
I had a bit of a problem from the wind gusts too.
Today I did not go as far as usual due to the snow which was somewhat slippery underfoot except when I could walk in the road. Then I had to climb out of the road when traffic came at me. I can hear noises that tell me the snow is packing underfoot when I walk on it and thus I got 3/4 of my normal distance.
Have a Good Day

Howdy y'all. It's thrilling Thursday!
33 out there now with an expected high of 55 and no chance of precipitation.
I think J has lunch scheduled with an ex-coworker today and I could really stand to hop over to the nearby PetSmart to get some cat food, and maybe Publix or Aldi for milk.
My iMac is updating right now so I'm using my docked Surface 3 pad (with attached full size keyboard) for the moment.
My MacBook updated last night so I could have used that but it's in the other room. The docking station for the pad
shares the same physical desk as the iMac so it's convenient to use when the iMac is busy with other things.
I'm fairly used to switching back and forth between Apple and PC nowadays.
Now let me go find some, hopefully, interesting videos.

What? No Nigerian prince sending you money?
If the asteroid is an alien probe, they'll probably never visit after seeing this world's politics and climate.
I hope the jet plane biter wasn't rabid!
I tend to trust older doctors a bit more myself, but think some of the younger ones might be more willing to try newer procedures. Maybe it's six of one, half dozen of the other. I'm older than most of my doctors now anyway.

Hi Ed
I am doing this By copying Your post into a quote since for some reason Quote is not working this morning.
Both of my Windows 10 computers did a update this week, That took a little while so I Left them churning away and did other things.
It is not 100% easy switching back and forth like that IMO.
And AlsoWhat? No Nigerian prince sending you money?

Nope, they have not offered that lately, I think the princes have gone broke.
Well that is possible that they could be watching and listening to our broadcasts and if they could also sniff internet traffic...
I do not think Rabid, I just think self centered and crazy
I tend to agree, it is hard to some of these younger doctors that seem more interested in speeding through every aspect to be able to handle more patients as compared to the older doctors that I believe are more interested helping their patients.
The first thing I thought was scary and the second thought was insurance ? Whose insurance pays, Homeowners ? The Airline if they can trace the problem aircraft ?
Have a Nice Day

Howdy y'all. It's fabulous Friday! 35 out there now with an expected high of 45 and no chance of precipitation.
Have to get out at least for cat food today, as they'll be eating the last of the canned food. I also need to get styrofoam cups for the holiday party that got postponed from Monday night to tomorrow. Monday the person we needed to get the key from was ill and there was no way to get into the venue. We found this out rather late in the day but in time to keep most (if not all) people from making the trip to find that we'd have had to have a very cold tailgate party in the lot!

Hi Ed
I'm still having problems using the quote function, it is not working for me. I can quote on another site as I just tested it elsewhere. Is it broken for You also?
I was out visiting friends with my brother yesterday and when he stopped at the Coin Shop a Old Coin described as "Ancient Rome" caught my eye, I paid $15 for it. There is a plentiful supply currently which keeps prices reasonable IMO. I bought this as I like Oddities
I hope the two snowfalls in the the last three days are not a sign of what the upcoming winter holds in store. On the good side There is no snow in the upcoming week and warmer weather by midweek.
Enjoy the Holiday Party

Howdy y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!
27 degrees out there now with an expected high of 53 and no chance of precipitation.
We actually have TWO parties today. One for lunch and one for dinner. The first party is scheduled for 11:00 to 3:00 and includes the postponed monthly meeting of the local orchid society and the second is out usual pool party group but without, of course, the pool part of the party, and goes from 5:00 to 10:00, though we may not stay for the whole thing. I hate that we ended up having to re-schedule the Orchid Society party and it ended up on the same day as the other one, but that's how it is.
Quote was not working on here yesterday for me and it sounds like it isn't working today either. Perhaps we should report that to the site. Maybe everyone is assuming someone else has reported it.
