I'm planning a trip to the gym, and then maybe, maybe to Kroger. O's last gymnastics session for the year tonite at 6:30. So, I"ll surely not be bored!! LOL. Laundry in both the washer (load of mostly red stuff), and a load of whites in the washer waiting its turn at the dryer..
Ed, I think your Epsom update needs one more 'are you sure' element. At the beginning...saying 'Just Do It'! That should take away the rest of the boxes! What an ordeal! Hope something useful comes from the update.
Roger, Ted and I used to go early at opening on Sunday mornings. It was a great time to shop at Costco! I know this close to Christmas to either go early, or don't go at all. But, I will have to say, that we have 4-6 people checkers AND 6 or 8 self check outs, and that the self checkouts are quick and simple to use, so even on busy days its pretty painless to get checked out.
I hadn't thought about the Darwin Awards for a long time. I used to get a new newsletter from those folks who authored the awards on occasion. Some of them were downright hilarious!
Ok, time to pull on my clothes and get to the gym. I enjoyed my banana and my two pieces of avocado toast with radish sprouts, now time to go 'pay the price'!
Later...
Hi Valerie
Overcast is a description of the weather here too.
I wonder if the Self Checkouts are experimental ? We have none here.
I first heard about the Darwin Awards from my brother...
I was looking at the Box of Jolly Time Microwave popcorn my brother buys. It is called "Healthy Pop 100s" on the front of the box it says 100 calorie singles. Then on the end flap in the nutrition facts it shows servings per pkg 1, then under calories 110 Hmm... Somebody messed up.
I committed a murder most foul yesterday, I murdered my diet with Chinese takeout , Beef LoMein and I thought I had ordered bone in Spare Ribs, either I misordered or they misunderstood what I said as I ended up with Boneless spare ribs which is a quart of Pork chunks in a sweet sauce and much higher in carbs and calories vs the Bone in Spare Ribs.
Enjoy the Gymnastics

Good Morning TGIF!
Only a minute, and I HAVE TO get to the gym today. I spent yesterday saying to self...first I'll do ________. and Then I'll get ready .....and I never got there. (to the gym
So today is gym and Kroger and a quick check on an item at Publix....
Gym was great for Livy! She was grouped with a couple of her friends and they all had a good time! Nate, (Mr. Personality) somehow was also given a Christmas Bag from Miss Lisa. I only got a 'Merry Christmas' and a big hug!! LOL!!
My Costco has had self check machines now for about 2+ years Roger. We just got new machines, and my only 'complaint' is they talk more than Tom E.!!! LOL! The 'up' side is that there is always one or more humans in that area, and they come along and scan the bulky or heavy items so you don't have to heft them out of the cart just to scan them. Big help!!!
Ed looks like Christmas dinner has left the planing stage and moved into the Action Plan stage! I know you're gonna love the goose. I've only cooked goose once, but used to eat it when eating out and where it was on the menu. Chinese place in Knoxville TN food was great, in the yard outside was a flock of ducks and a few geese...I never could order either duck or goose . I know where those fowl dishes came from!
Ok, straight to get my clothes changed and off to do my body good, and fill the 'larder' with food.

I have several layers of folded paper towels under it. That's usually my method as there just isn't room there for a cookie sheet.

Howdy y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!
62 out there now with an expected high of 64 and 100% chance of precipitation.
Need to get laundry done and amuse the company for one last day. She flies out tonight, back to Pittsburgh.
Might need to get Lilo to the vet too. Not sure if she's acting funny because of disruptions to her normal "schedule" or getting sick.

If I did not procrastinate some days just think what I could accomplish
Neither my brother or I will use self checkout registers...
We prefer to help keep a cashier working and what might change my Mind, not his BTW, is if they gave me a nice 5% to 10% discount for doing the cashiers job. Which they do not do.
Makes sense to me, knowing where can make a difference. Farmers OTOH can handle knowing better than You or I.
Have a Nice Day

What we do is make sure to have the room in the Refrigerator AKA Ice Box for the smaller of our baking trays.
The only problem as I see it with paper towels would be that any juice leaking out could stick them to the shelf ? What I would do just in case is put wax paper under them. In the cubbyhole with the Microwave my brother keeps Waxed Paper, Parchment Paper, Saran Wrap, and two sizes of Aluminum Foil.parityanimal wrote: »Howdy y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!

Good Morning...Saturday.
Way too warm for December..and as Ed said, its gonna rain 100%! Weather human said we could have storms. Sorry you're having snow for Christmas morning Roger, and so glad I'm not!
Roger I use the self check at Costco because its quicker...some peeps shop not with carts, but pallets on wheels! Don't know what to call those things that hold a LOT of stuff. (I think they're buying for small stores, or places like our gym for instance...we pick up cases of water, about a dozen cases a week from either there or Sam's Club). Those peeps go thru the check out lanes, leaving the self checks for those of us with fewer things!
Ed, I surely hope Lilo isn't getting sick! She's had lots of 'changes' lately with lively kittens, and now house guest, etc. She may just need a little 'down' time.
Today my plan is to wrap gifts. We'll see if that happens. The kids are betting on Sunday night. Which has been my 'usual' routine!
OH!! GOOD NEWS..I hope...I found my Panettone yesterday while shopping at Aldi's!!! I was happy as a clam. Its one 'wrapped with silver paper and big red ribbons and a bow! I'm thinking about taking it to Lisa's as a hostess gift on Christmas morning. That way I can have a slice, and not eat the whole thing which is what would happen if I keep it here.
And... I just got a message from Amazon, that the Magnesium supplement I ordered last week has shipped, and will arrive tomorrow...Sunday, Christmas Eve... Love their automated system, but sometimes it makes lousy decisions. I really could have waited til Tuesday ya know!!!
Ok, I've turned the furnace up to 70, and my little bathroom should be toasty warm...so
heading for the shower...

Well, Lilo was a little dehydrated from severe diarrhea, so they gave her a fluid treatment. I requested urinalysis and urine culture because of her UTI history, and they gave her an antibiotic shot. I had given her an appetite stimulant this morning and they recommended continuing with that (leftover from Ariel) and start her on a probiotic, of which I still have half a box from Lilo's last UTI. That should, hopefully, be needed only for a few days.
With the lab work, treatments, and exam this was a $293.40 trip to the vet. My wallet is in the other room quietly weeping.
Not regretting spending the money on a mixed case of wine (that will probably arrive Tuesday or Wednesday) but could have saved that money. Oh well, I'll enjoy it and it was a really good price so it wasn't TOO much money. Not nearly as much as I spent on the cat, but they always get the best and I get the leftovers so I'm used to that.

Ed, sorry Lilo is/was sick. Poor ole kitty.
Chuckled, your comment spoken like a true parent...they get the best and I get the leftovers!!!
So enjoy the wine, and lift a glass of cheer for Lilo too!

She's home now, resting in one of her favorite spots. J and company went to see the remake of Murder on the Orient Express, but I declined to stay home and keep an eye on Lilo, since she did get a shot while at the vet. I may join them for dinner at a Thai restaurant later. Or I may decline on that too. We'll see, in a couple of hours.

Howdy y'all. It's scintillating Sunday! Happy Christmas Eve!
45 out there now with an expected high of 53 and no chance of precipitation.
Finishing up laundry now. J is expecting to leave this morning for Kentucky but, knowing his usual timing, that will probably not happen until this afternoon and possibly later, but I think he'll manage to leave by early afternoon, as he likes to spend Christmas Eve evening with his family. His mother is probably working today but will get off around 6:00 when Kroger closes.

What did Your Weather Rock say about rain ?
If I said that by shopping early at CostCo the other day I was able to roll up to the register with no waiting. I also Arrange things so the the cashier can scan the codes without moving any items
I was in the local grocery store buying a can of crushed Pineapple to use on the Ham when it is baked tomorrow. They had a couple brands of Panettone on a shelf. I also picked up some Sliced Roast Beef off of the clearance area that I have popped into the Freezer section for use as the protein portion later next week or the week after. One was $0.73, the second was $1.47 and the third was $0.94....
I also stopped at the Dollar Store and bought a quart of 1% milk for next years use, With a use by date of Nov. 21, 2018 :0
Enjoy Your Panettone
