I guess it's up to the individual. So which review is it for Rudolph?

Fiendish fat man and his malicious minions bully and harass youngsters who happen to be "different", until the youngsters flee, only to find they can't even be accepted by others who are "different" unless they can provide a service to those others. Along the way, they are almost killed by a misunderstood monster who just wants to be loved and can't help it that his hunger makes him do terrible things. In the end, the misfits manage to perform services that endear them to everyone...for the moment, but how long can it last until the hatred resurfaces?

    OR

Delightful tale of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, showing how love and perseverance can overcome just about any adversity, including intolerance and bigotry, as Rudolph saves Christmas and everyone learns that being different is not such a bad thing after all.

It was a cold morning and a chilly day. When I went into the kitchen to ponder dinner options, Eduardo decided that Pasta e Fagioli was in order, with garlic Parmesan toast. So I opened a bottle of one of my favorite wines and went with it. :) As a dinner for a chilly day, it was perfect!

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and once again nothing found. The Temperature out the door was 41 degrees. There was a breeze blowing that caused a slight wind chill.

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! -3C/26F with an expected high of 6C/43F and 0% chance of precipitation.

I haven't stepped out to experience the cold but will later. Perhaps it will be above freezing by the time I do.

Need to feed the cats and clean yesterday's cat bowls.
    Hi Ed
Once again it appears that Your overnight temperature is lower than mine despite Your location being much further South.

We are forecast to have higher temperatures for the weekend with the warmest day, Sunday being forecast to hit 60 or higher before the temperatures drop after that.
    Vegan "butter" spread.

    Interesting burgers that feed multitudes.
Burgers or one giant burger ? Looking at the start of the video it seems as if they are cooking one large burger shaped round with a hole in the middle.
    These look tasty too.
Is this different than the previous rolled bread ? I guess I will find out later

COLD. and still cold. 1:30 and only 33 degrees and a really hateful wind! Poor Tom..he wants to go out, but after about 5-10 minutes he wants back indoors. Don't blame him one bit. He was aware of the gray tux. cat in his yard...but I don't think there was any 'show down' !

I'm so behind today, that I really should just go back to bed and write this day off! I have gotten the centerpiece for either the sofa table, or the dining table made. Years ago Costco sold some wonderful fake, flickering big fat candles...the next year I gave them as gifts, and bought a set for myself. 5 or 6 stay on my fireplace mantle year round. I also bought some white evergreen shaped candles from there 2 yrs ago. (forgot about them last year) but I have that box out and waiting for a destination for this year.
Unboxed the new little 18 inch battery op pre-lit with timer green wreaths. One for the door, and one each of the two windows that face the street. Need to un-package the red table cloth that matches my chair seat covers and that will be about all I will do. Used to do lots of decorating.. :)
    Hi Valerie
Today is the third day that there is a breeze, Yesterday Atlantic City had wind gusts in the 40s for a second day, I'm not sure if the wind gusts will be that high today, time will tell.

I like the idea of the candles, Battery powered would be great for a dining room table. I had not heard of or seen battery powered wreaths, With a Timer as the icing on the cake.

I am getting lazy, If it were up to me I am not sure I would even put up the big tree and might put the small tree with the optical lights that change color. I get double use out of the window decorations, They light up the living room nicely when it is dark out.
Ate some tomato soup with about equal part of rice and some baked tofu that I'd pressed and marinated this morning. Decent lunch..need to go find a piece of fruit though. Guessing that apple I set on the cutting board last night..even washed it, didn't eat it...LOL!!

Tom wore himself out going in and out...and is now sleeping it off in the front room. I've set up a heater for when I'm in there, as that is the coldest room in the house! Heater works well, but my feet under the desk don't get the benefit, so I have on socks AND my fleecey sheepy buckskin shoes.

I have two different week long health series that I'm watching and trying to 'absorb'. (one is actually 10 days long)
And, another coming up about a week after that.
I'm either going to go blind and deaf from these, or I will hang out my shingle and make some money from all I learn. Loved the one from last month on concocting medicines from yard plants. Some I already knew about, others were a complete surprise. And no I've not given up on OTC or Script meds...just good to know in case.....

OK, I need to walk says the Fitbit Alta. Yesterday I completed 11 or the 13 hours I set up for alerts. I think that was a record for me...

    Later...
I am thinking about opening a can of Campbell's Cream of Chicken Soup with one of the items from Miracle Noodle, Maybe the "Rice" or one of the "Pastas"

Lucky us, All the Ground floor rooms here have proper heat distribution. The Basement where the heavy duty computer is set up is also within a degree or two of the ground floor and heats up from the computer. I wear socks year round, or if not them fuzzy moccasins which are wearing out and since the fleece lining seems to pick up everything and not want to let me pull the stuff out. The replacements may have a cloth lining instead.

Walking before the roads get busy and noisy is enough for me.

    Have a Nice Day

Need to clean up yesterday's cat bowls and feed both me and the cats.

The remaining Pasta e Fagioli will likely be lunch, but whether I make more sourdough garlic parmesan bread remains to be seen. It would be nice with lunch though, I'm sure.

I will probably do some laundry today. And I may get out to a grocery, though that is certainly not definite.

    Hi Ed
We have a mailer that is good for $10 at the local diner that expires today, thus we are having Brunch with a friend. This may not be good for my waistline :(
There is some rain in the forecast for the weekend, The plus is that if the weather forecast has the timing right they will have no impact on my walking.

    Good morning..
Just checking in...Ted's probably on his way to my house for what could be the last leaf cleanup. Mind you, this is exciting in my world of 'damn leaves'!!!!

Cold here. Tom E. wanted out..but by the time he got to the end of the porch, he changed his mind!!!
Not seeing wind this morning, just some high white clouds...if the sun really does shine here the day could be quite nice!!

Roger, thanks for the article on diabetic pump problems. Forwarded that to Jack and to Jenn, though I suspect they've already seen it. They're pretty good on keeping up with T1D. Grammie pretty useless, as when changing the sets I can no longer 'see' well enough to clear the line of air bubbles, or read the tiny little lines on an insulin syringe...yep, pretty much useless. Gangsta G as they have taken to call me. (I'm guessing they felt calling me Grammie, or GramGram was for babies..not for Tween or Teen!!! LOL!

Ed, I vote for the latter take on Rudolph and his [permanently red chapped nose. ) Poor little devil deer...

    Ok, time to scoot...lots to do..and Ted's coming...etc

    Later...
    Hi Valerie
Hopefully You are correct regarding the leaves

Smart Cat from the sound of it. The cold can feel colder than it really is when leaving a warm house and the opposite is also true. When I come in the house from walking it feels real warm for a minute or two than I acclimate and it feels comfortable.

I thought that the Diabetic Pump article was interesting too. There is a reason I have a strong magnifying glasses on the main floor and in the basement. The ones I use are much stronger than the ones that are commonly sold with a handle attached. It seems that as the years go by the fine print gets smaller  I also have a small sheet magnify-er in a protective sleeve that I can use in the grocery store

    Hi...
Stopping by to say "Hi"...have a list of stops to make today...UPS, post office, Kroger, Costco (gas), etc..also Aldi, and so it goes. Overcast is an understatement...looks like its gonna snow...but, step outside and its amazingly warm! Who Knew?
Will be back much later tonite...
    Hi Valerie
I am in the process of finalizing a Christmas gift package to be shipped to my sister. I am packing a Flat Rate USPS box. Since the price is the same no matter what the weight I am thinking of putting in some surplus NS snacks so they do not expire. A note explaining that they are just there as filler naturally.

You have some list of stops, I try and keep to one or two maximum stops per trip with the car.

Yesterday was a dingy looking day that had some rain after noon, it started spritzing on the return home from our brunch with a friend.

Need to feed the cats and get yesterday's cat bowls cleaned up. A nap sounds nice for a rainy day. The weather is definitely getting to my joints this morning, and I don't have anything on the shopping list critical enough to make me want to get out in the weather.

A friend had threatened ... er wanted to come over this afternoon and all of us get out for some shopping and a Thai or Indian meal but she wasn't feeling too well yesterday so that hopefully ... er, I mean probably won't happen.

Right now I need another mug of hot tea.
