Howdy y'all. I've been up for hours but distracted on the internet. 78 with an expected high of 83 and 20% chance of precipitation.
Not much on the agenda today. Maybe some light house work...we'll see.

No surprise to me either and I bet most purchasers don't even care, as long as it looks right.

Hey!!!
Moving right along over/down here. Ready to put my lunch together, last load of clothes (sheets and towels) are in the washer, one load light clothes dried and put away, load of dark clothes in the dryer...and internet time in between!
Rain, now forecast thru Tuesday/Wednesday morning....thanks Alberto ;( Sadly (I will be fine) , but my family is at Sandestin FLA...so they will get some of this also. I suspect they'll head home Sun. night instead of Monday.
That left hip and lower back still with me......Will have Aleve with my black bean, rice, mushroom pieces and left over spinach from yesterday's breakfast. (lunch will also include the last ear of corn from Wednesdays shopping trip.
Ya'll are making me really miss cornbread! Sometimes Whole Foods has Vegan Cornbread all wrapped, weighed, and priced on the shelf above one of the hot bars...it is very tasty, although it is loaded with fat! Only eat it on rare occasions
Roger I saw you posted finding a folded dollar bill...umm, I think maybe that was my bill??? LOL!! and that you also found 15 cents...you're in the money!
I'm still getting the updated emails about privacy changes from various app sites. I was wondering why until I read an article about it sometime last night when I should have been sleeping! At least I know WHY I'm getting all of this...I thought from the article that last day to notify was yesterday the 25, but my phone just lit up with a dialogue box from Waze saying I need to read their updated Privacy Policy...so, Waze, hate to tell you but you're a bit tardy with your notification.....
I'm currently brain dead, so will get lunch together, and hope it will feed my brain some carbohydrates and get me back on track!
Later...
Kathie, today and tomorrow are your days off...but will you also get Monday off as well? Hope so. and IF so, enjoy your long weekend.
Also, Roger I don't know how you can be so cheerful about seeing the deer while on your morning walks, considering the damage they do to you veg. garden, etc!!! I'd be wailing!

Oh Poo! Thats just not fair Kathie. Bet everyone else got 3 days off??? I'd make a fuss.
Ed and I are beginning to get a feel of the storm to come Sunday & Monday. Thunder, rain, a bit of wind. My son and DIL are leaving Fla tomorrow which is a day earlier than they'd planned. I'm sorry their vacation was cut short, but glad they're coming home early.
I'm thinking its nearly bed time...finish up a couple little chores.
Roger, had nice big juicy black berries with some Vanilla So's Coconut cream ice cream. (the blue topped one with no added sugar.) It was delicious!

That Cornbread I bought at Whole Foods was on the shelf above Soup as I remember it. I do not recall it being vegetarian, It was Wrapped weighed and felt like it had been in the freezer before being put out for sale.

Hi Kathie
Strange, most businesses give something to the workers when a holiday falls on their day off, The exception being if they have no official holidays as would be the case with a small one location business.

Howdy y'all. It's scintillating Sunday! I've been up for hours and have already run the dishwasher and put all the dishes away, and been distracted by various internet thingies.
80 with an expected high of 82 and 20% chance of rain but a much higher chance tonight and tomorrow, at least according to the forecast.
Need to clean yesterday's cat bowls that are sitting in the sink.

Hi!
Busy doing piddly chores, fixed myself a nice, filling lunch. This should be a 'two meal' day as I 'missed' breakfast.
Roger the berries came from Kroger...what few are left around here are just small green nubs, which probably will get disposed of before they grow or turn black. (I am hoping to get those few left disposed of..they're growing in my azalea bushes. Smart plants. They make it doubly hard for me to clear out, and its time for our copperheads to lay around under shrubs, etc. waiting for a tasty morsel to come their way....I do not intend for that morsel to be ME). LOL
And, the cornbread from WF that is vegan clearly is marked Vegan. I have no idea if they freeze their cornbread before selling or not.
And the updated apps that are changing their privacy policies are iOS apps. So you're flip phone won't be effected.
Heading for the gym...hip is not as sore as it was, so will do a bit of a walk on the TM and see how that goes.

Hi
I'm back from walking and found no cents. The Temperature out the door was 56 degrees. It is a nice enough day outside, According to the weather forecast I saw last night one part of NJ had 6 inches of rain in 12 hours. Our rain was a lower amount. South of where I am the rain lasted longer and there were many roads closed due to flooding. I also wonder how many Parades were rescheduled due to the rain ?

Been there done that with meals also.
Just curious are those Blackberry Bushes the thorn-less or the ones that have thorns. The Blackberry bush here has no thorns which makes it easier to pick from than the thorny Raspberries.
IMO the inability to run things on a flip phone is a blessing
Good Luck with the TM

Howdy y'all. It's marvelous Monday! 69 now with an expected high of 79 and 50% chance of precipitation. 60% chance at the location of the pool party this afternoon, which is being held regardless.
My baked beans are in the oven now. We'll pick up a friend on the way and hope for not TOO much rain. The afternoon forecast calls for scattered thundershowers.
Need to clean yesterday's cat bowls, make another mug or two of tea, and feed the cats. And shower for the party, though it's possible I could just wait and let nature shower me there! LOL.

Hi! glad I came back to look at the posts....mine is missing.
I promise you I made a post...possibly for got to post Reply...or I did my answer in my head, and before I could type it out was distracted and never did type it??? I dunno!
Alberto has made landfall, feeder bands of rain come and go..with much more promised for Tues and Wednesday... so, yeah Roger...our weekend was sorta a wash out....though Ed's group sounded like they were in it for the day...rain and all!
I still like my Instant Pot...it cooks wonderful rice, beans, soups, veggies, is also slow cooker, etc. Frees up a lot of appliances. And, I remembering growing up with my Mom a gas stove, a pressure cooker and watching the pressure gauge so it didn't blow up. Nope, I'll keep my IP....
I loved Pizza with or without a fork, btw! Not picky as long as the pizza was tasty I could handle getting it into my mouth!
Rain or no, tomorrow I go to a store...have no banana's, want an avocado, and am out of cilantro and limes. Sounds like a trip to the gym, and the market next door!!
J&J got ahead of the storm once out of FLA and Jack said it was dry pavement the rest of the time. He posted a link of a live video cam that was next door to where they were staying in Sandestin..Beach and wave was much more reminiscent of the Atlantic than the gulf.

I thought it was rather unfair that she compared it ONLY to a regular pressure cooker. When I realized that was her test, I knew the regular pressure cooker would win because I know that no electric pressure cooker can get quite the same heat and/or pressure as a stovetop, old fashioned pressure cooker. She practically ignored the slow cooker function of the IP.
I noticed that despite the pressure cooker winning her contest she still had a lot of good things to say about the IP and said she liked it anyway, and she mentioned the programmability and the "hold warm" feature that, of course, one doesn't have with a standard pressure cooker.
Glad they got back from Florida OK.
Our pool party was a surprising success, despite the rain. We made it clear to the group that the party was happening, rain or shine, and most of those who had said they were coming showed up. I am glad that I made baked beans for 40+ people as there were 52 people there! There were rain showers but also bits of sun and just overcast. Someone else made a kind of 3 bean salad with a creamy dressing, for 40, and most of his dish was consumed as well. There was a small portion of my baked beans left for the hosts to keep back and enjoy later.
I actually spent 10 minutes in the pool myself, but limited it to that and otherwise tried to stay out of the ultraviolet. Clouds don't really cut that much, if at all, so I mostly stayed on the covered porch or under some of the awnings. I did show a few new people around the place as the hosts were busy, but that didn't have me out in the ultraviolet for long at all. J and I stopped briefly on the way and picked up a friend I have known since about last Christmas Eve, that J had not met until today. I met him over the holidays while J was out of town and we've enjoyed a few meals together during J's out of town trips this spring. He has three cats, as do J and I.
I felt he'd be a welcome addition to our pool party group, as he just seemed like he'd be a good fit. He had a good time and everyone seemed to like him. He said he'd be coming back for more parties.
