    Hi
I'm back from walking and no cents. As I left the house and started up the street, I heard a noise and looking I saw 3 walking appetites AKA Deer in the neighbors yard. The temperature this morning was 59 degrees. It was nice out the door and it was still 59 degrees on my return to the house. Today's forecast is nicely cool with rain moving in this morning around the end of the Morning Rush addcording to this mornings forecast.

    Hi Jan
I survived today’s endoscopy. Everyone was awesome except the anesthesiologist who was mean and rude! I was in tears...right before they wheeled me into the procedure room. They all thought i was worried about the test, but I explained and the lady who started the IV backed up my story because she was there. So, then I woke up crying too. Ulcers along my esophagus and possible hiatal hernia. Wednesday i get an upper GI barium study to determine whether it is a hiatal hernia. Work sucks. I emailed my boss that i was on vacation today because anesthesia and emailed him i am overloaded....so, he sent me stuff that had been due last Friday that he didn’t do.

    Hi Val
I know it is hard to do and easy to say, However try not to let someone like that anesthesiologist bother You. A good bedside manner does not seem to be taught anymore.

Not good news, OTOH now that they know the problem(s) they should be able to cure it/them and give You relief.

You are overloaded so naturally he added to it, Sorry :(
I had a funny thought. Roger, you talked about the benefits of intermittent fasting...well, I’ve been doing that every other day with all my medical appointments! LOL. Tuesday into Wednesday ill be fasting for my upper GI barium test.

That intermittent fasting does seem to be working for You.

    Congratulations, I Noticed this.

    Good morning all!

Val, you have been put thru the wringer with these tests, but, as Roger said, hopefully the first line to get some healing! I really hate that these Dr.s get away with being jerks. Their reputation precedes them you can be sure, but unfortunately does not help the public at large. Report him to the board! The inside people know about it.... :s Little Boudreaux is a keeper! He is so stinking cute!!! :) I do not think you will have trouble placing him!! Kiss puppy!! Congrats on the wt. loss!

I tell you, Roger, if I had been on that Frontier plane in your article, that man would be contemplating why he was headed to earth without a parachute. Every Great Dane I have met has truly been the gentle giant. As a service dog, and because of his reaction, you can tell he was treated and trained with patience and love. And who punches a pregnant woman, or any for that matter in that situation. I hope I read an outcome to that story at some point.....My friend has 4 great Danes, all sweet, and cats, and a few border collies and aussies! (She is a vet, lol, thankfully!) As with many breeds they have certain quirks to know..

Glad you saw the deer, even if they are munchers. We are getting showers all week. Some light, some not. We need the rain, but Memorial weekend will be wet. I do not mind, lol! :#

May had her spa day. They are not free like they said. The literature says it is free and half the staff thought so to. They gave it to me free, but if I want another- it is $55.00. Bless her heart, I have no idea how it went, she was not freaked, but she slept the entire day. She went out for a short walk 2 times for business, and ate, and was otherwise down for the count. I traveled to Montgomery and back 4 times( 100 miles), to come home and take care of some yard work as I did not need to shop or eat to kill time. The traffic was something, so when we did get home..I just was tuckered out mentally too! I did not write, but just read what was happening here, and just chilled with movies and stress ate. I have all that hard work to do again...and it is MY bad!! :| What a month! :D Take care all! ...Jan

Granted it’s only been one day, so maybe placebo or fluke, but my stomach doesn’t feel so bad today. Hopeful. Tomorrow is my barium upper GI test. Yippee. Nutrisytem works well for me. Hoping to continue with consistency. So far, very easy. I’m sure getting rid of some of this fat will help my stomach...the fat is contributing to pushing my stomach into my diaphragm.

And still more humor is posted Enjoy.

    Hi
I'm back from walking and no cents. The Rain in the forecast for Yesterday arrived later than predicted and ended somewhere between 4 and 7PM. Then overnight my sleep was interrupted by a Thunderstorm a little while before 3AM, Followed by rain then periods of thunder and rain that ended slightly before 5AM. When I left the house the rain had ended :)

Today's to do list is more or less complete, I wrote out the payment for the credit card bill that was in Tuesday's mail. Beyond that I need to look at a external hard drive of my brothers. It has been acting up, when I tried connecting it to my Big Desktop Any attempt to access it would either lock up Windows or when I ran Seatools since it is a Seagate drive not work. So yesterday I disassembled it using a tutorial video off of YouTube and have connected it to a SATA cable in the computer as a Desktop internal drive and that will be my final To Do item for the day later. Wish Me luck, I have a feeling he kept playing with it too long. Time will tell. I did test and it is past the warranty period so...

N.J. cop delivers fawn in roadside C-section on deer killed by car
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A New Jersey police officer's quick action may have saved a baby deer's life Sunday as its mother lay dead after being struck by a car, according to a Facebook post by his department.

The problem with deer and cars is they freeze and watch and that can be a bad thing on a road. One of the roads I traveled heading back to the house after work I had to be real careful as there were deer along parts of it.

I do not recall mention of a Spa Day, Did I miss something. Hey, Free is a good Price, I like free

I hope the stress eating is not to bad, Good Luck there.

    Hi Val
Is it possible that You now have less stress since You are finally getting answers and that is helping ?

I would not be surprised if that is true, Losing belly fat can help.
Sadly in my case that is the hardest to lose :(
I went off Monday with foods from the ShopRite Hot food bar and am now working on that...
The bad part was likely the Baked Ziti and the another starch item, Ground Beef, Bow Ties Pasta and a tomato based sauce. I tried to avoid as much of the Pasta as I could. I did manage to not get and Mac & Cheese at least.
I have been 100% NS Tuesday and should be for the rest of the week, Hopefully that will do the job.

Congratulations, I did see this and every bit helps

    Good morning!

We have an inch and a half rain over several days with more to come. Good as we needed it. My yard guy showed up and was cutting as some thunder rumbled and they just finished when it started to rain again. His helper cut down 1/2 of my four o'clocks, which I thought was pretty obvious they were flowers...guess not. They also ran over
some lilies, though they were in tall grass so they would not know. I need to move them, or fence them. Not sure about anything else as I have not ventured too far. :|

Sorry about your hot bar trip! They can sure be tempters! I have not been too bad on what I eat lately, my portions are too big. That is a constant battle!!

Glad the little fawn was saved. Twins do not happen too often , so that was sad, as well as sad for the mama. Twins often to not make it thru delivery in the wild if memory serves.

The facebook offender was a moron! :D Well, thank goodness for that!. I can tell you, being barefoot in the house and wooden floors will not make you thin, lol. :D That is so negligible it is stupid...to me anyway, lol! I would love a 3,000 tip! :)

Hi. Yesterday after the GI test, I had the worst gut pain and nausea...to the point of being unable to work. Luckily it subsided after 5, so I worked until 9:30. I think that was from the “crystals” that intentionally cause gas to allow the radiologist to be better able to see everything...but wow, the aftermath was unpleasant. Better this morning! With yesterday’s pain, I tried feeding it anything to make it stop...so i exceeded my calorie allotment, happy Thursday. Em has one week of school left!

    Hi Jan
They are not taught anything beyond how to cut grass and not how to identify desirable plants. We tried a yard service and they cut off flowers that were not fenced off and damaged a window cover with the weed whacker.

I would fence them with Decorative stones of a plastic fence.

Agreed, Even the right foods in to large a quantity can be bad for You. Chinese take out such as Chicken Broccoli or Beef with vegetables or Beans even when they sauce is poured off can be fattening.

I need to lose some weight as I overindulged lately. I was down 1.5 pounds in the last week so progress

    Good morning!

    Another day, another penny! :)

I got up and got dressed this morning to get my labs. My bottles say no refills after may 18th. So I get there and they won't draw it because of the insurance company. I cannot get it drawn before tomorrow or Sat. Of course the Dr. is not open on Sat. nor will he be open Monday due to Memorial Day.. 2 meds have 5 pills left. That is why I went today, as you need a day to draw labs, get results, go back and see the Dr. and then get the refill. That can take 5 days. Have I said how much I hate that insurance companies run things and do not use common sense when doing it. And why would the pharmacy put down a refill date, if not to use and it is needed. RANT! Dumb!....done.. :s

At least I did shop for some things to last thru Memorial Day.. I guess I will get up Friday and repeat...I plan on having ribs and staying home...May hurt her leg I think last nite some. She was asleep on the rug my feet were on. I got up and it woke her and she jumped up like she was a rocket to follow. She made the rug skitter and scared herself. She has done this before. She was limping for a minute or two and it looks a little swollen, but it is so hard to tell. I hope she did not damage all that work. I can watch a day or so, but then of course it is the holiday week end. Of course....

Val, I am so glad the doctors did discover some things at the bottom of your pain. I hope you get some good options for treatment! My daughter is so happy at this last week of school! And she is the teacher! She teaches with a horrible administration- the kids are fine with her... :* Em works hard, I am sure she appreciates a bit of a break!!

I guess I will not complain about my gas. We were paying around $3.04 a gallon and it killed me! We are currently back to around $2.85 for mid grade. Better!! What do you pay, though I know it is regular gas?

We are thundering to beat the band but no visible lightening and we are getting no rain from it. Cooler but humid.

That 30 year old man is some kind of lazy or some kind of hoot... I can not believe he would appeal. I am telling you, half the problems of the world would be better if we invested more in mental heath. Sink holes scare me! Remember the story of the brother who disappeared down one in his bed, and his brother could not hold onto him to save him? He was swallowed...Fla. of course...

I had not planned for the yard guy to show due to the weather. I almost fenced the flowers the day before and put it off. I know better!!

Y'all have a good start to the Memorial week-end! Stay safe!! ...Jan

    Hi Jan
Yesterday I ended up finding a total of $1.01 Whee

I am surprised You waited that long to get refills. At least our Pharmacy will contact the doctor if needed to get a OK for a refill. Our supplemental insurance for Medicare works and the Prescriptions either pay or will not pay depending a list and that is that.

Saving Money is more important than Your health to the insurance company, even when that shortsightedness may cost them more than prevention would cost. You may notice that I agree with Your Rant, I saw it at work with my aunt in California. Boo Hiss to any managed health care.

We ended up the running around yesterday at Bishops in Whitehouse, NJ. Where I spent to much on foods. I have a Container of Ground Beef and Pasta as well as a serving of What they are calling Country Style Ribs in BBQ Sauce, No Bone of course. Yesterday I had their Beef Brisket in BBQ Sauce and one of their Cheeseburgers that I threw the bun away and ate the Burger and Cheese with Ketchup and no bread so I could get a small portion of Mac & Cheese, I finished my Lunch / Dinner with a Medium Split Pea Soup that was pretty tasty. I call it Lunch / Dinner as All I had previously was a NS Cinnamon Coffee before walking and A Bowl of cereal for breakfast. I suspect that the Hunger pangs contributed to buying too much ready to eat food at Bishops :(

I hope May is OK too.

Stay safe!! ...Jan
Locally Regular Gas is in the $2.90+ area and when we were running around Thursday I noticed that the Highest along the highway was $3.09 for regular.

The news is full of weird things that make You go Huh or maybe what were they thinking

BTW My ersatz humidity gauge is telling me that the humidity is OK this morning. My ersatz humidity gauge is the Cold .5 liter water that I pulled from the refrigerator to have a cold water.

Thank You for the Holiday Wishes.
    Roger

    Hi
I'm back from walking and found 15 cents in two locations. The other day I saw three deer walking up the brook in the water and this morning I had one deer cross the street ahead of me.

Nothing wrong with a good laugh

Better days with food and work are coming. I got one of my best jobs by accident.

I'm sorry to hear that, if You were not so conscientious You would let Sara's mistakes go through to get her off of that task.

    Have a Nice Weekend

    Good morning!

Well, I headed back to my Dr. and they told me I had another month before I could draw labs! :D I kept telling them something was wrong. The lab girl had told me to come back as I was off by one day. I reiterated the info on the bottles and suggested that the date was not the original 3 month date, I had come in extra, which had thrown off the dates they were looking at. The lady at the desk explaining how the lab will not pay, and blah, blah i can not do that.... I gave up and sat down as they offered to write prescriptions for the 2 drugs that will run out. After ten minutes the girl came out and said I had come in extra and the dates were wrong so I can get my labs...(sounded so familiar as I had told them I thought that happened like, ten minutes before...). Got my labs drawn.

And I have laughed the whole time as the day before, my request for my new Dr. came in, and I will have my first appointment in mid June. So I can blithely get my refills this next week, knowing I have a new Dr.and they will not know it, till after my refill appt. On my goodness...what fate...I have appreciated them , but so time to move on!

You must have been very good to find a dollar bill!!! :)

Such a sad letter from that Prof in Ill. I kind of have to agree with him...

I knew the destruction and bombs were bad in Dresden. When trying to track my ancestors I have come to a block as all records from the Dresden area were virtually destroyed...

The man hitting the dog with the bat should be in prison, anyway. I can not understand why he is even out of given bail with his record. And do not get me started on what should happen to him....

Val, it is a bummer to be penalized when you do a good job. Murphy's Law... Do not succumb to stress eating! You are doing too good. Try some meditation or Tai Chi ! :#

Have a great Day All! Val, I hope you get some of the holiday!! Jan

The gang violence in Chicago is terrible, they have lots of shootings, more than NYC despite being smaller. OTOH if we do not get a good handle the MS-13 gang who knows where that will go. Protesters on Long Island protesting the Presidents coming there to talk about handling MS-13, That makes no sense, they also protest against The gang Violence, Weird :(

Dresden was pretty much flattened sadly.

It seems as if people are much touchier and prone to violence than what I remember in the past.

    Hi
I'm back from walking and found no cents. The Temperature out the door was 56 degrees. It is a nice enough day outside, According to the weather forecast I saw last night one part of NJ had 6 inches of rain in 12 hours. Our rain was a lower amount. South of where I am the rain lasted longer and there were many roads closed due to flooding. I also wonder how many Parades were rescheduled due to the rain ?

    Good morning!

All is quiet here on the southern front. We are expecting rains in mid afternoon. Yesterday was so busy I just read the column and never got back to track my food till this morning. Just the usual, church and small group. On the other hand it was a pleasant surprise that I was only over my calories by a few, and so have done better than usual.I am having ribs today, have not had them in a while. And veggies. Skipped the potato or macaroni products for the holiday as I have had far too many carbs lately. I did pick up a few bags of frozen soup veggies They were very good and varied, and I used them to create a broth - hence veggie soup for when I was hungry. That has worked nicely...

Val, glad you were able to get out and do some things you enjoyed!! :)

The flooding in Md. I think it was, sure caught my attention in the news. You do not see that every day. I did not realize the area had that much rain...The chicken chlorine story was interesting and yucky. And frustrating. I do not consider the FDA to be a greatly run success. I love how rather than improve and take great hints from other countries, we just listen to the industry at fault and let them do as they like. The FDA has a dismal record of inspections and also of promoting animal humane care. GRRR.. Actually, their drug policies make me rather skeptic also... :s

Guess I will run out and buy some gum to walk with! ... Roger, this is a great project for you, and you are in the favored category, being a male who walks faithfully. I challenge you to see if it helps!! :#

I would not like the noise or strange hordes of extra people running thru my neighborhood if it was previously quiet. Nowadays it is hard to not be suspicious if people have an opportunity to check out your property, and you have no idea what kind of person they might be. Most people are fairly nice, but you just never know... :*

Got a chuckle out of you Roger thinking Val would be walking a seizure dog...because my mind went there at first too thinking " Little B" had a problem. That is what happens when our eyeballs register ahead in a story I guess!! Glad it was not that seizing!! ;)

Hope you all had a great holiday, and a thankful one! Take care!! ...Jan
