    Even More Humor

    Hi
I did some walking for an hour + 1 cent , The temperature this morning was 70 on the news channel and 70 degrees on the front porch. The humidity is very high, They are saying the humidity to be tropical for today for today, It should be cooler however and the humidity will be dropping.

Found this elsewhere and thought it was sad and scary too, is this the future? :(

How Bad is Crime in Chicago? Police Search for 6-Year-Old Armed Robbery Suspect
Posted at 2:25 pm on July 12, 2017 by Jenn Jacques
If you thought Chicago’s gun problem couldn’t possibly get any more insane, you’re not going to believe this story.

On Saturday, July 8, 2017, Chicago Police issued an incredulous community alert from detectives warning Near South Side residents of an unlikely robbery crew of suspects that includes “a 6- to 8-year-old boy” armed with a silver handgun.
The suspects committed at least 11 armed robberies in June in which they traveled in groups of 3-9 armed robbers and approached victims; either demanding valuables or taking property by force before fleeing the scene.

Gorka Tells CNN Anchor: Russia Coverage Explains Why Cartoons Now Beat You in Ratings
Last week Matt reported that CNN is in a ratings battle with Nick-at-Nite - and losing. Seriously. A recent study showed that CNN had plummeted to No. 13 in the 8-11 p.m. time slot.

Sebastian Gorka, deputy assistant to President Trump, was happy to come on CNN and share that information with anchor Alisyn Camerota on Wednesday.

White House Advisor @SebGorka: Nickelodeon’s Nick at Night gets more evening views than CNN. https://t.co/xHbtxumPCf
    — NTK Network (@NTKNet) July 11, 2017

A big reason that viewers are abandoning the network, studies suggest, is that CNN has been obsessed with all things Russia. Heck, the network mentioned Russia almost 16,000 times in their coverage since the inauguration.

“The amount of time you spend in desperation on a topic that has plummeted you to 13th place in viewership ranking across America,” Gorka told Camerota. “I mean more people watch Nick-at-Nite cartoons than CNN today.”
"Our ratings are just fine," Camerota pushed back, arguing that her network has polling to suggest Americans are very interested in the Russia story.
Again, Gorka pointed out the stats - CNN was in the 13th spot, and Nick-at-Nite was at No. 11.
CNN had a terrible week last week. First, producers and anchors were exposed by Project Veritas for intentionally reporting on Russian collusion despite it being "mostly bulls***" and a "nothing burger," while also calling American "stupid as s***" and calling Trump a "f***ing crazy clown." Then, the network also threatened to expose the Reddit user who created the now infamous gif of President Trump body slamming the network.

I'm still alive but drowning in work. Good new -my physical therapist discharged me...I'm on my own unless i need more help. Tuesday was Amazon Prime day. I ordered pasta made from chickpeas. Good protein and fiber.
    Hi Val
I could eat that pasta, I will be interested in how it tastes and what the texture is like.

    Thanks

    Good morning!

I fell asleep about 8 pm, so I am going to be up most of the nite. It is a throwback to night shift, and I only feel asleep for like 10 minutes. If I was this wide awake during the day, I would get more done!

I love the points made by Steven Wright. Some are pretty profound!!Some are just funny! Simple logic is sometimes baffling! The humor was good also! That store clerk must be the luckiest person ever. How scary!

Glad you got your car back. It just dawned on me we do not have car inspections here. I guess I should be happy they demand licenses. :#

Good job walking even if it was humid. I am trying hard to move a little more!! Not my first inclination, lol!

Thanks for noticing my loss and moving, I am trying hard!!

Val, those noodles are interesting, you are right!! Great fiber and really great protein. I will be interested in how they taste!!

Take care with the heat and humidity. It can be yucky out there!! :) Jan ;)

    Hi Jan
I though the Steven Wright Humor was good to so I reused it here.

I sure hope I sleep well tonight, Last night was the third in a row that I slept poorly. So I know how You feel.

It was indeed Yucky out this morning as well as the last two days also.

    Have a Good Day

    Good morning!

Well, it will be a short day as I slept till almost 11 am. I did not mean to do that! But I went to sleep around 3 am, so... On the bright side, I have fed the birds, watered the plants, fed the dogs, and a hummingbird I said I was not going to do. But bless his heart, I see him at 4 pm, and I felt so sorry I took out my hummingbird feeder and made some solution and out it hangs. I guess I can cut down on something else. :D

I am not surprised by the Chicago article. All gangs. When there are no parents that do right, those older hoods will fill the gap and get those young kids going. That is both sad and scary. You would think they would have planned a little better for the future of Chicago. But then, it has always been crime central. Montgomery could have gone that way, but there is a really active bunch that brought revitalization to the downtown, and try hard to get to problem areas and try to help the parents and kids break that cycle. But it is hard. Ignorance and laziness are the hardest things to fight. The police and churches and mayor, ect.do work together here.

Thanks for noticing the "work". I am trying to get in more exercise. I did not see your login this morning though sometimes it is just funny how it does!

Hi Val!! We are both interested in that pasta you are trying! Hope you are taking a few minutes to put your feet up!! Hang in there!! :)

And still more humor today, enjoy

    Hi
I did some walking , The temperature this morning was 67 on the news channel and 70 degrees on the front porch. The humidity is still high, What they are calling tropical for today for tomorrow, It should be warmer and the humidity will be dropping.

We had off and on rain mostly on for most of Friday. It was raining when I got up and the last of it disappeared by 6:45PM. When I went out the door this morning the streets were still semi wet and I found that there was a light misting happening. The Thunderstorms and severe weather was south of Us, Most likely Irene had worse weather.

I was out the door at CostCo nice a quick, $108 lighter in the wallet however.
I picked up 2 bags of Frozen Normandy Mix and 1 Green Beans, a refrigerated package of Pot Roast to use as a PF. The hot cooked rotisserie 3 pound chicken that scales 4 pounds 5+ ounces in the package. 5 Pounds of Clementines, Gala Apples, White Nectarines and a 10 pack of $4 off Kleenex and a Protein Shake. Sadly they only had Vanilla today and I was looking for a Chocolate and a Vanilla Case of each.

    Have a Great Weekend

    Hi Jan
You are lucky that things went right, they are having a problem in many areas with gangs, Especially MS13 from what I can see in the news. Unfortunately Painfield NJ is not that far away form here :(
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS-13
MS-13 (Mara Salvatrucha; also known as simply MS or Mara) is an international criminal gang that originated in Los Angeles, California, US in the 1980s. The gang later spread to many parts of the continental United States, Canada, Mexico, and Central America, and is active in urban and suburban areas. Most members are ethnically of Central American origin (principally El Salvador).

In the U.S., the MS-13 has an especially heavy presence in Los Angeles County and the San Francisco Bay Area in California; the Washington, D.C. metropolitan areas of Fairfax County, Virginia, Montgomery County, Maryland, and Prince George's County, Maryland; Queens, New York; Long Island, New York; Newark, New Jersey, Plainfield, New Jersey; Jersey City, New Jersey; Elizabeth, New Jersey; the Boston, Massachusetts area; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Houston, Texas. There is also a presence of MS-13 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Members of MS are characterised by tattoos covering the body and also often the face, and by the use of their own sign language. They are notorious for their use of violence and a subcultural moral code that predominantly consists of merciless revenge and cruel retributions. This cruelty of the distinguished members of the "Maras" or "Mareros" earned them a path to be recruited by the Sinaloa Cartel battling against Los Zetas in an ongoing drug war in Mexico.[5][6][7] Their wide-ranging activities have drawn the attention of the FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, who have initiated wide-scale raids against known and suspected gang members, arresting hundreds across the country.

    Good morning,

Bummer on the pasta, though that still has a lot of protein. It is hard to replace real pasta. For the same amount of calories, too, it is hard to turn down! :#

That is just frightening on the gangs. I do remember that particular gang due to the violence. We have them here too, but mostly local, I think. We do have drugs coming thru here often I think, so they tend to show up. Nowhere near the problems of other places though. I did learn, which I have seen, and did not know, that shoes hung over some power lines here are a marking for gang territory. Who knew?

You were on a real power burst of energy shopping, Roger, for having slept badly. That was pretty awesome! I hope you sleep better soon. I swear by my melatonin, though you do not like to take stuff. The tablets give to me no draggy feeling, and if you take it about an hour before you want to sleep, do well, IMO. The 1 mg. are good, though I usually take 1 and 1/2 tablet, which does better for me. That is a really small dose and naturally occurring in the body. We just make less as we age... :)

    Have a great week-end! ..Jan B)

I am so sorry that happened. I know how badly you feel. Maybe the other dogs finally leaving changed those dynamics for some reason? I am glad your little one is okay, at least physically. It is good you are at home so you can watch. It is hard to catch when they change behavior so quickly. Just be looking for those looks they give and your little one moving away when you do not notice. Them and their power send-outs. I had a lot of luck with the drop it command, more than any other correction. Strange... I'm sure they will get it right! You may need biofeedback for work- sounds like they won't change!! :* Hang in there!! .. <3 Jan

How to treat acid burns, and what to do if you are involved in or witness an acid attack – all you need to know
Following the worrying rise in acid attacks, here's the important information you need to know

    Updated: 14th July 2017, 6:12 pm
THE alarming spike in acid attacks on the streets of Britain is a terrifying threat with the potential for catastrophic and life-changing injuries.

Last night two teenagers were arrested after two suspects riding a moped carried out five horrific attacks in Stoke Newington, Hackney and Islington, police said.
How SHOULD you treat acid burns?
The most important thing you can do in the event of an acid attack is to douse the victim in running water, rather than a wet cloth.
The water dilutes the acid, and so it's important to keep refreshing with new, clean water, as quickly as possible.
The most important thing you can do in the event of an acid attack is douse the victim's wounds in fresh, running water for as long as possible

    Hello!

Really awful on the acid attacks. I just can not believe people. They never did say anything about the laws. I do not know how they could be lax.

Thanks for noticing the work on the diet. Today is always kind of a bad day, being Sunday. I did not stay for lunch, that makes it too hard, especially with Sunday group. I had to already count Caramel Cake, as if that is not "bad' enough! :D

Hi. The cooking of the padta had not been interrupted...I started heating water, then turned the water off. The pasta was safe in the box. Good news, i added that cooked pasta into my homemade veggie soup...and it's great in there. Cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, onion, corn, garlic, mushrooms, and zucchini. Turned out very yummy...and zero guilt.

She went in for a simple cataract surgery. Doctors found 27 contact lenses in her eye

In a bizarre medical case, a British woman somehow had more than two dozen contact lenses in one eye but didn’t realize it.

The case, which was published July 5 in the British Medical Journal, has made international headlines after the ophthalmologist responsible for extracting the stack of contacts spoke to the media recently.

According to the BMJ, the case itself occurred back in November, when a 67-year-old woman went to the doctor for a “routine” eye surgery, Rupal Morjaria wrote.

When the surgery began, however, Morjaria and her fellow doctors extracted a “blue mass” of 17 contacts, all stuck together, according to Optometry Today. Later, the doctors found another chunk of 10 contacts, bringing the total to 27 contacts in one eye.

“None of us have ever seen this before,” Morjaria told OT.

“It was such a large mass. All the 17 contact lenses were stuck together. We were really surprised that the patient didn’t notice it because it would cause quite a lot of irritation while it was sitting there.”

According to OT, the patient had been wearing monthly disposable contacts for 35 years but did not regularly go to the eye doctor and had no idea that many contacts were in her eye. Morjaria said the patient had credited her discomfort to old age and dry eyes.

“She was quite shocked,” Morjaria said. “When she was seen two weeks after I removed the lenses she said her eyes felt a lot more comfortable.”

It is unclear how long the woman had been living with the contacts in her eye. According to Piedmont Healthcare, the FDA recommends that even long-term wear contacts be removed overnight at least once per week to be cleaned and to allow the eye to take in oxygen. Wearing contacts too long can cause corneal damage.

Research Team Slams Global Warming Data In New Report: "Not Reality... Totally Inconsistent With Credible Temperature Data"

    by Tyler Durden
    Jul 15, 2017 9:00 PM
As world leaders, namely in the European Union, attack President Trump for pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement which would have saddled Americans with billions upon billions of dollars in debt and economic losses, a new bombshell report that analyzed Global Average Surface Temperature (GAST) data produced by NASA, the NOAA and HADLEY proves the President was right on target with his refusal to be a part of the new initiative.

According to the report, which has been peer reviewed by administrators, scientists and researchers from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), and several of America’s leading universities, the data is completely bunk:
In this research report, the most important surface data adjustment issues are identified and past changes in the previously reported historical data are quantified. It was found that each new version of GAST has nearly always exhibited a steeper warming linear trend over its entire history. And, it was nearly always accomplished by systematically removing the previously existing cyclical temperature pattern. This was true for all three entities providing GAST data measurement, NOAA, NASA and Hadley CRU.
As a result, this research sought to validate the current estimates of GAST using the best available relevant data. This included the best documented and understood data sets from the U.S. and elsewhere as well as global data from satellites that provide far more extensive global coverage and are not contaminated by bad siting and urbanization impacts. Satellite data integrity also benefits from having cross checks with Balloon data.
The conclusive findings of this research are that the three GAST data sets are not a valid representation of reality. In fact, the magnitude of their historical data adjustments, that removed their cyclical temperature patterns, are totally inconsistent with published and credible U.S. and other temperature data. Thus, it is impossible to conclude from the three published GAST data sets that recent years have been the warmest ever –despite current claims of record setting warming.
Finally, since GAST data set validity is a necessary condition for EPA’s GHG/CO2 Endangerment Finding, it too is invalidated by these research findings. (Full Abstract Report)

Of course, this won’t stop global climate normalcy deniers from saying it’s all one big conspiracy to destroy the earth. They’ll naturally argue that data adjustments to the temperatures need to be made for a variety of reasons, which is something the report doesn’t dispute. What it does show, however, is that these “adjustments” always prove to be to the upside. Always warmer, never cooler:
While the notion that some “adjustments” to historical data might need to be made is not challenged, logically it would be expected that such historical temperature data adjustments would sometimes raise these temperatures, and sometimes lower them. This situation would mean that the impact of such adjustments on the temperature trend line slope is uncertain. However, each new version of GAST has nearly always exhibited a steeper warming linear trend over its entire history.

In short: The evidence has been falsified.
Karl Denninger sums it up succinctly:
It is therefore quite-clear that the data has been intentionally tampered with.
Since this has formed the basis for plans to steal literal trillions of dollars and has already resulted in the forced extraction of hundreds of billions in aggregate for motorists and industry this quite-clearly constitutes the largest economic fraud ever perpetrated in the world.
I call for the indictment and prosecution of every person and organization involved, asset-stripping all of them to their literal underwear.
The real data looks something like this:
    global-warming-data1
    global-warming-data1.jpg?resize=560%2C264
    (Via ZeroHedge.com)

And the establishment, along with their fanatical global warming myrmidons, continue to push the need for massive, costly initiatives to reduce green house gases and global temperatures to “normal” levels.
The problem, of course, is that there is no global warming according to the above referenced report.
Moreover, none of those supporting the Paris Climate Agreement and other initiatives have any idea what these behemoth regulations will actually do to curb climate change, as evidenced by the following video of Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine, who despite his best efforts, can’t seem to figure out exactly how these agreements actually lower temperatures and help Americans:

    Hi Jan
Can You figure out which side of the Global Warming pronouncements I fall on ?

I get more of my liquid in the morning. That includes the 30 ounce cup of coffee, That coffee is actually weakened as I have to put a couple of inches of Ice in the cup first to cool off the coffee enough so ic an drink it while walking. That is a year around thing since I started using the "Yeti" brand cup for my refills at 7-Eleven, $1.38 tax included and Quick Chek $1.49 tax included. A significant reduction in the price of when using their new cups FWIW.

That Dratted Alarm clock is something I have shut off as I figure that if I sleep late I must have needed it :) Now That I am not working I refuse to let it rule me, I rule it :)

Enjoy today's humor. If You believe in warming, ignore that part of the Informational post FWIW.

Congratulations on doing even better :)

    And
Sunday's are my hard days! My calories were not what I wanted... but were far less than other Sundays! Sometimes you can take that as a win and keep going! And I will!!
What I said: RogerToo Hi That sounds like a victory to me FWIW :)

Hi. The cooking of the pasta had not been interrupted...I started heating water, then turned the water off. The pasta was safe in the box. Good news, i added that cooked pasta into my homemade veggie soup...and it's great in there. Cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, onion, corn, garlic, mushrooms, and zucchini. Turned out very yummy...and zero guilt.

    Hi Val
I misunderstood the Pasta part :(

That is good news that You will using it up. I suspect it picked up lots of flavors from the soup.
That is the reason they say You should add Your Pasta to the sauce, and not ladle the sauce over the Pasta. :)

Zero Guilt is a really good thing IMO.
    Have a Nice Day

    Hello!
I am trying to get caught up on a lot! My house is a disaster, so I am cleaning and washing today. It is humid and buggy! All week it will be mid to upper 90's and humid! Uggh!! I saw that you responded to my Sunday post! I felt it was a win myself! :D

Pasta is always good in soups and stews, picking up flavor. One reason I love hominy or dumplings in things like that, too! I am however one of those people who prefer my spaghetti sauce on top my pasta. That way it doesn't get soggy when I am at the end. Crazy, I know, but there are some exceptions to my own rule. I have a feeling that it might be how you were raised too, and that is what tastes best, lol!

I do love zero guilt too! The soup sounded awesome, Val!! I hope your puppies are doing a bit better in their relations. :)

You did a lot of walking Roger, especially for the humidity! Global warming??? I find it much much hotter than it used to be, in places it wasn't. But who knows if it is a huge cycle or not. Seems much research is presented flawed either way. I am tired of paying for other countries when it is as much their responsibility. What a mess...

Unbelievable story on the contact lenses! I can not believe! But I could see one or two, no pun intended, lol!
Stay on track all!! Trying to do good today!!! ..humor bound...Jan B)
