    Good morning!

Your articles were really interesting today. The "Nevada " area was interesting about the air current wave motion. The title seemed misleading though as many plane remains were found and you are dealing with rough terrain. Some of the stories for example of the Bermuda triangle involved things just disappearing from radar and such, often with some pilots or shippers noticing things wrong before. I do not think all those numbers of planes missing are the same as some of the weirder happenings in either of those areas. I think a few of them might possibly due to other phenomenon other than those waves. Might just be me focusing on wanting to believe strange happenings, lol!! :D

I knew some people from Jersey and other states left due to taxes of various sorts. Lucky you..seems unfair.

I managed to pass up lots of good casseroles at church and did good, though my ratios were a little off today.

We are having spring like weather for a few days at least.

Very insightful about previous administrations and the cutting (or wasting!) of certain programs and/or resources. People never want to admit both parties have been guilty of that in the past.

I saw that story about New Mexico on our news here. Can I tell you how upsetting I find that any adult , esp, working in that job, does not know New Mexico is one of our states.....

Hope you have a very good day!! :) ....Jan

I just posted more humor, Some truth in a couple of them

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and not one single solitary penny was found. The Temperature out the door was 54 degrees. From the weather forecast the overnight temperature will be the high for the day as they predict that temperatures will be dropping throughout the day. Yesterdays forecast high of 60 failed to materialize except in a few parts of NJ.
Yesterdays rain ended on schedule, However things outside are still wet as it never really dried out. I did see one Lobe Deer running around while walking.

    Hi Jan
I know that some conspiracy types blame things like those crashes on the Government due to area 51

I do wonder about the Bermuda Triangle OTOH.

My Brother wants to get out of Dodge, AKA New Jersey. The way I view it as long as It can be afforded I am familiar with the area and NJ does have many pluses including New York City and Philadelphia cultural attractions and amenities. OTOH MY Youngest Brother and my Sister split one to Washington State and one to Iowa in the town where moms side lived (Lives).
I managed to pass up lots of good casseroles at church and did good, though my ratios were a little off today.

Good Work passing on tasty casseroles, I have to stay away from things like that or else I overindulge.

Our period of warm weather is done, now we head back to Seasonal weather :(

Politicians from both parties seem to hold the View that Your money is there to be spent and You should be grateful for what they leave You.

As regards the New Mexico item, What Can You expect from someone working in Washington DC ? I do not have high hopes for anything done in that city.

I did see this so, Congratulations on avoiding them

    Happy Tuesday!!

Oh my.. the thought of moving at my age would not be very appealing. I do harbor the dream of downsizing, but that will not happen because of my divorce agreement. I should have had a clause in there to handle that, but at the time I could not imagine wanting to leave this property. Mainly due to the trees and bushes planted by friends and my Dad, and my animal remains buried in my "family" plot. I guess I will survive that shortsightedness! lol...

I am so amazed no one is dropping change for you!! Maybe with gas prices down, you may get more!! Wish my car took reg gas, but happy for mid gas drop too!!

How is your fruitcake coming? That is something I am pretty sure is no keto, lol!! I will have to look!! You having anything special for Xmas?

We are turning colder tonite, it was no 72 degrees while I was out at my house..breeze was very fall and chilly!!

I did walk a little more today, nothing to write home about!! Spent time on the phone, but really needed to clean. Totally exhausted after shopping, cooking, and church on Sunday. Tuesday is my eye appt. and Weds. I take my daughter for her Dr appt. with a neurology pain specialist. I lost my big day to make a difference here at the house..Oh well..I did straighten the kitchen and play ball with a very distracted May May. Got to love dogs. Worried me to death, then got outside and forgot she was bringing the ball back! Multiple times!!

All the posted stories today were really good!! SO behind on the humor!!

    Hi Jan
FWIW, if You decide to make the fruitcakes You can get all the fruits from Amazon.
Also if You like Dried Fruits and Nuts there is a place that has really good ones here in NJ that ships called nuts.com FWIW.

I remember having to put the drops in moms eyes after she had the cataract surgery so nothing needed is good. I have a suspicion that most people have a mild case as they get older, Not having asked I am only guessing.

I would love fall like weather, there is a trace to one inch of the white crud in the forecast with the northern line just south of where I am, Which means I could see it too. Hopefully not however.

I thought hounds were good as well as smart, was I wrong ?

As I mentioned previously I think I have most of my Christmas shopping done. Most not all. I had a reminder yesterday to get going with my Christmas cards when the first one arrived from Family in Iowa.

I was lucky with my guess as to why the remote control for three switchable outlet controllers would not turn them on and only off. A new battery and Voila they no work. One is on a table lamp, One will be for the Christmas tree and I have not decided where to use the third one yet. That would be these
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DD9Z7Z2
WenTop Wireless Remote Control Electrical Outlets Kit 3 in 1 Socket Programmable Remote Plug-in Switch for Lights and All Household Appliances - 1 Remote Control + 3 Outlets FWIW. The main reason I bought them is that where we put the Christmas tree the outlet is hidden behind it and that makes it hard to turn the lights on and off.

Thanks for the news story feedback my brother who is my main source asks if I get feedback

As long as the heat works I shall stay warm. These temperatures do mean the next gas and electric bill will be bigger sadly :(

    Good frosty morning!

It is cold here, about 20 degrees. We are all freezing, lol... The main roads are busy, but everything else is deserted! No one wants to get out in the cold.

Great job with doing your shopping!! I have not started, except for my step mother's. I bought Christmas cards, that is as far as I got!! :D

I did get up to meet the girls at 7am, so I had about 4.5 hours sleep. I drove my daughter to her neuro appt. Dr was great. Showed her where the nerve is being compressed. For now he thinks the chiropractor will help, as well as a cervical traction machine for home use. It is a mobile unit. It could be worse at about $260.00 and of course insurance does not pay. Steroid shots in the neck is the next option if needed. But he told her what to avoid to lessen chances again. He thought she would have good luck with the traction and shots, and probably would not need surgery to fuse that area. She was happy about that!! We grabbed a quick dinner, but I never made it to church, as I had left May about 5 hours, and did not want to add another 2 hours to that. I was kind of bummed as it was some good singing, Christmas and otherwise. I was pretty tired when I sat down though.

My heat is running constantly tonite. I hate to see my bill! I hate to imagine yours!! :|

    Hi Jan
I was wondering how well the houses are insulated in the house and what type of heat is popular ?

I think I have enough Christmas Cards so that is one cost savings for the Holiday.

I am wishing Good Luck for Your Daughter, Hopefully She can avoid surgery. $260 does not sound too bad as a price for any medical device.

Many of the Gas usage bills are estimated, The Meter readers tend to skip some houses since all the meters are in the basement and I suspect they get tired of climbing down to the basement to read them and then climbing back up.

Were You worried about May due to loneliness from being left alone or ?

    Good morning,

Well, I liked your posts but the like buttons did not work!! Some error!! Anyway, liked your posts. Except the one about the bugs in dog's mouths! My yard has one or two beetles last summer. But my friend was having them swarming her house by the hundreds. They swarmed inside too. Just unbelievable the numbers of them!!

I lost a pound again so I was excited. I do not mind losing a lb at a time, as it seems to be steady. Well, so far anyway!! :)

Glad you escaped the snow which means you escaped the heavier shoveling!! Always good.

I worked in the yard some, but still have a lot to do. mostly carting branches to the back to be burned that fell from storms a while back. Some are rather big. I enjoyed being out though. It was cool, but just fall like till the sun disappeared.

I need to get a few refills for meds on Friday, but I would rather be in the yard again. We are supposed to get soaked on Saturday, with showers on Sunday at times too.

Hope you have a great day!! ...Jan

    Hi Jan
I wonder why the buttons did not work, Oh well, it could be worse.

At least it is only one beetle that looks like Ladybugs. Have You ever been by the Mississippi River when the May Flies swarm, They can block the light from streetlights and in the morning when they have died the roads become very slippery from the dead ones on the surface.

Congratulations on the one pound loss. I did not do good yesterday since I had a craving for an Omelet. I ordered one called Bacon, Bacon, Bacon that is described 6 strips of Bacon, Pepper-jack, Cheddar Cheese and Tomatoes. I cancelled the Tomatoes and the Bacon is chopped and cooked in the eggs. I had French Fries instead of Home Fries. I also ordered a Italian Hot Dog. It comes in a 12 inch Submarine sandwich Roll, French Fries, Fried Hot Dogs, and Fried Onions. I forgot to cancel the Mustard and Fried Green Peppers. :(

What a load of empty calories in the fries, roll and toast with the omelet :(
I worked in the yard some, but still have a lot to do. mostly carting branches to the back to be burned that fell from storms a while back. Some are rather big. I enjoyed being out though. It was cool, but just fall like till the sun disappeared.

I need to get a few refills for meds on Friday, but I would rather be in the yard again. We are supposed to get soaked on Saturday, with showers on Sunday at times too.

Hope you have a great day!! ...Jan
We can not burn yard waste here in NJ and I do miss the smell of burning leaves. That is why the town provides Yard waste bags and pick them up once a week. We have small hand cutters and a large set of loppers that have extendible handles that extend to 3 foot Plus.

    Good Luck getting Your meds.

Stay Warm and Dry. The outlook as far as precipitation in the 10 day weather forecast does not look bad as the prediction is for good weather.

we do not have a Panini Press, we do have a George Foreman Grilling machine in the cupboard. I had not thought about using it to make a Grilled Cheese until now, I suspect it would work well too. I would want to have some cooked bacon to put in the middle of the Grilled Cheese Sandwich as I like them that way.

    I saw these.

Sorry I’ve been missing. I’m healthy and still functioning. Work went off the rails with stress and ridiculousness. My boss has an anger management problem and I’m his target. I contacted another manager and asked to transfer. He’s really new and young so that caught him off guard. Said he would test the waters to see if my boss would be okay with that. The system that I’ve been working day and night to test and fix was supposed to be released 12/14. That’s in jeopardy because (according to my boss), the 3 managers responsible “want nothing to do with” that system. It’s a giant mess. On other news...I’m finally getting my will made. I don’t want to leave a mess for Em. My ex/her father has refused to see her since birth, and wanted me to abandon her. When i refused, he emptied the back account and house furnishings (the very day she was born). Even with all that, he would get custody if i died before she’s 18. Thus, I’m now suing to terminate his parental rights. He says he’ll agree. Still stressful. When I say my “dog partner” I’m referring to my friend Maggie. She’s president of Grumpy Puppy Rescue and I’m VP. She has her 7 dogs plus 2 foster adults plus the 6 puppies. Granted she has an awesome setup for the pups where it is minimal work. They have a temperature controlled building with access to a small fenced yard. The adults are all in the main house with access to a huge fenced yard.

    Good morning!!

Glad to hear from you, Val!! Always afraid about your work when we do not hear from you! They do seem like such a train wreck!! You are right, any legal action is stressful! I have to get a power of attorney for my daughter as even though she is the executer of my will, my finances would be frozen if i was injured in a non speaking or non thinking capacity, but not dead. I had not realized.. I needed that too. With Em being under 18, not sure how that might or might not tie you up. You might want to ask. That subject never came up, even though I had an advance directive for her. too. Neat set up is right for your friend!! :)

Roger, sounds like you went all "Boys gone wild"" on that day you had the omelet, lol!! :D

I did get my meds with no trouble. I had to stand in line for the refills as no seats are provided. The reg. part of the Pharmacy has new chairs and a few tables. To be fair, I do not usually see a line for refills, but they were crowded today. I had the lady behind me go ahead as she was having a terrible time standing, we joked we were going to buy them a bench as a hint...

George Foreman's make great paninis! They would be perfect for toasted cheese and bacon sandwiches!

Like Eeyore!! " thanks for noticing!!!" the small weight loss, lol!!

Have a good week end!! ...Jan

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and not one penny was found. The Temperature out the door was 20 degrees and while walking I passed one of those time and temperature displays that showed 17 degrees. Happily there is no wind blowing.

    Hi Val
I am happy to hear that You are healthy and still functioning.

I could not work under those conditions, You are a better person than I to stay there. I wonder if Your boss is doing that to deflect responsibility for the system if/when it fails to perform.

A Giant mess does not sound fixable, TBH it sort of sounds like what happened when they rolled out the ACA, parts were not really functional when it was rolled out.

Congratulations on getting a will made. I am still waiting for a estate where I am executor to be closed for four years later since a distribution from a relative that had no will is still hung up in California :( The State where the estate I am executor is pressuring to have it closed. Since the only assets are the tied up estate it can't happen. If I had known this would happen I would never had agreed to be the executor.
The Moral of this is Pick the Executor carefully and that the lawyer that does your will is important too. Our lawyer here was so helpful when Mom died.

That is 14 to many dogs to many, I could never handle that many at one time even with the setup You describe.

    Have a Good Day

    Hi Jan
That brings up a couple of things that are good to have. Power of attorney as You mention, A Living will, at least one or two Bank accounts with a POD, Payable on Death. The will should include any assets that might be relevant. A up to date list of Insurance policies etc. The POD could help pay for the funeral. We were lucky that way as Mom had a prepaid funeral plan and has spelled out every detail right down to music at the Church etc. Mom and Pop bought funeral plots years ago with enough space for them and all of us kids too. If no POD account a joint account with some money in it just in case, Not all of course.

I will be recovering for days for one day of indulging myself :(

I have been know more than once when in line at the grocery store to let someone with one or two items that they are holding go ahead of me as I always use a shopping cart.

No weight loss is small in my opinion.

If I had not run across that use for a George Foreman grill I would never have though of it. What I have been doing is taking a skillet, melting some butter in it then putting the sandwich in it and sitting a pan with water in it for weight onto the sandwich, That works pretty good too. Toss a little more butter in the skillet and flip, pan back on top and Voila

    Enjoy the Weekend
    Roger

Spent the day at an adoption event. It was 45-50 degrees plus wind. So we packed up earlier than planned. No adoptions, but lots of nice folks. One couple thinking about it. Another family wants to help foster over Christmas break. I brought three baby boys home to foster: Alvin, Simon, and Theodore.

    Hi Jan
Not as sorry as I am, What a pain in the neck dealing with the attorney handling the will in Iowa, So that makes three states involved. California who is holding up everything, Iowa where the will needs to be probated and closed out and here in NJ where I am handling things long distance.

I was just looking at my upcoming NS order and I found 4 different frozen Dinners That look delicious. They would be Chicken Marsala, Creamy Chicken Broccoli Pasta, Four Cheese Manicotti, and Mac and Cheese.

I hope You are in a non flooding area and that the Power stays on.

    Cheers

The puppies are doing well. They are scared of people but I’m working with them. They were raised by their moma dog until 9 weeks with little human involvement. Then they were all together with routine housekeeping. It’s hard to care for 6 pups at once. So at 11 weeks now, they are getting the individual cuddles. I need to get treats to help this process.

    Good morning.

Sweet picture! He is the only one with those cute little black eyebrows, too! Sounds like you have your hands full, Val! They are all cuties! I liked the one on the right side of the picture, too. He looked kind of like he had that needy air about him!

Yay, Roger, you found a penny!! That is remarkable now days, isn't it, lol!! :)

Rain has finally stopped. I have a feeling my rain gauge is full. I will have to get out there tomorrow. I had church and small group and then home for a nap. I did not eat enough at lunch, and had the munchies after a late quick supper. I had an extra bag of pork rinds, so I hate to see me tomorrow. But it could be worse I guess! We both will have something to work off!! :#

Stay warm all!! Hope everyone has a good week!! ...Jan

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and no money was found. The Temperature out the door was 23 degrees. Sunday here was gray and clouded over and the only way it could have looked worse outdoors would be if it had rained.

At 8:30AM the new kitchen floor is scheduled to be installed. I am hoping it is not super disruptive to my staying 100% NS for the mid day meal. If it is going to run later than that I may have to have some sort of takeout food or go hungry. Staying 100% for the last few days and turning down temptation has let me lose some weight
Naturally either my brother of myself will need to be home while the installation is going on. I let my brother decide what is going on the floor and he wanted something that no water could get through as well as being economical thus for now at least Linoleum, Congoleum as I remember,
