    Good morning!!

Sounds like you have been thru the wringer with tests, Val!! I remember how exhausted I was when I had so many. Sounds necessary though and I hope in the long run you will feel better!! I saw you lost some weight, like 3 lbs. though I can't quite remember exactly from that page to this one!! I just know I was impressed!! I hope the testing helps!! Hang in there!! <3

Good articles Roger! I especially like the one on Yellowstone and about the cars!! I hate the next few days will be dismal looking in your area.

I went a little overboard on my calories today. Only by about 150 But I should have done better. I went to lunch at a friends and we had chili. I should not have had the kidney beans, but what can you do! I bypassed my favorite captains crackers and homemade cornbread and it killed me. :# I succumbed to one Samoa Girl Scout cookie and I will not be buying about 4 boxes like I usually do!! I did not last year either as I was on a roll dieting and bought none. I had to have just one! I had a plain hamburger patty for supper and I just had the worst taste for a cracker before dinner. I made an almond cracker that was to die for!! My problem was I either did not put some of the crackers up, or skip my hamburger patty!! I can easily make 1/2 the cracker recipe, so I will next time. But it was the best tasting "bread like" substitute I have had in a little over 3 mos. Just a little poor planning and a new recipe. If this is a long term project though, and it will easily take a year, I am not going to beat myself up over something little. I will still lose, just a little slower.. :)

Val, I included the recipe if you want to try it. I love them plain, but they would be good with a keto cheese dip or cream cheese.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Less than 10 min. prep about 20 min. to bake.

    1 C. almond flour
    3 Tablespoons water
1 Tablespoon flax seed (I had golden flax seed)
1/2 teaspoon salt (I used some garlic salt, just to try and I thought it might be good

    Kosher salt

Mix ingredients in a bowl except the kosher salt.

Spread on parchment paper- and cover with parchment paper. Roll to about 1/8 inch thickness keeping a rectangle shape. I used a spoon to thin a few spots also just pressing down on the parchment paper. Take off top parchment and use a pizza cutter to cut squares up and down and side to side. Sprinkle with some kosher salt and press it into the dough. Lift bottom parchment with crackers onto a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Check browning around 15 min. and remove any that are browned, and return the rest to finish cooking if needed. Let cool. break apart and enjoy.

I will have to get the stats later..the recipe was on the computer and I had not written them down yet. I just figured them by the recipe too since it was so easy and I had not paid attention to the size of my crackers. easy enough. Mine were about a little bigger than cheese-its, lol.

Take care all!! Hope your results are all good Val, or at least helpful!! ...Jan

I just posted more humor, enjoy

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and once again no money was found. The Temperature out the door was 27 degrees with a breeze. The Weather forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are not looking all that promising.

I should start using my recumbent again, especially given the forecast for Friday through Monday for my area.
That would be precipitation starting around Midnight tonight, Then Saturday evening into Sunday and whatever is left will freeze into a slippery mess for Monday when the temperatures are dropping into the single digit.

    Hi Val
My NS Frozen comes today, depending on what time I may just leave it on the closed in porch til tomorrow, Between the Dry Ice and the Porch temperatures it should be fine. The Shelf Stable portion is shipped and not arriving today. In case Anyone is wondering why leave it, if it comes as it is getting dark it becomes a pain in the neck to check in and put into the freezer, so....

I hope the Cardiologist gives You good news, I am guessing that this is related to the hernia surgery ?
I do wonder why those Ultrasounds, Doctors padding the bill or covering themselves against even the remotest possibility ?

I suspect that all IVs are hard on the veins, How can it be good when they are running a saline solution through them ?

    Good Luck
    Roger

BTW, I just saw this, Congratulations
    hope4change_val yesterday
lost 3.2 lbs since last weighing in! Hope4change_val's lost 6 lbs so far.

    Hi Jan
If the weather forecasts are accurate dismal may be an understatement.

Ever since the state dropped the ball with the first winter snow our idiot, I mean governor has been over reacting to any mention of snow. He does not take criticism well and talked about why he is wasting money with snow prep if there is a chance a flake or two might fall. As well as telling the people criticizing him for wasting money that they are wrong, That is despite that many of those critics are from his party.

I had no idea that the Brine solution they put on the roads was so corrosive. My brother said he may have to end up at the car wash weekly with the forecasts.
I went a little overboard on my calories today. Only by about 150 But I should have done better. I went to lunch at a friends and we had chili. I should not have had the kidney beans, but what can you do! 150 calories should not be a killer amount, It could have been much worse. Just put the Kidney beans on the side and pretend they are not there. My brother says Chili should not have beans and bought a can Sunday at the Grocery Store marked meat Chili, no Beans for that reason. I would be tempted by the Wendy's Chili if not for the beans and that it needs some shredded Cheese and Crackers on it to ameliorate that heat.

Your mention of the GS Cookies reminded me that they covered it on the TV news yesterday, They also mentioned that the price was going up this year. Since I was reminded I mentioned they were now and sale and he plans to order some. Last year I threw 1/2 of what he bought into the freezer and when defrosted they were as good as new.
Val, I included the recipe if you want to try it. I love them plain, but they would be good with a keto cheese dip or cream cheese.

    Hello!! :)

Hate to hear that about the project, Val! Small wonder you have stress related things going on. Your job sounds more stressful than most I know about..and I have seen some stress!! Don't beat yourself up!! Just get back on it and try to remember how energized you feel when you eat healthier!! I hate when I delete my posts..I do that more often than I care to admit, lol...<3

Roger, did not mean to give you any ideas!! Repeat after me...I do not really like cheese-its..they are heavy and greasy.... :s

Hoping your weather will be better than predicted!! Nice you can store some things on the porch if needed. It is raining now, but it is hit and miss. Very gray and dreary all day today. I was a little carb heavy today as my greens had a little sugar in them, and the pork chop I had had some breading, though light. It was a little hard to eat keto as their best dishes were sandwiches, hamburgers and the best looking fries I ever saw!! I also bypassed my cornbread and gave my friend the banana pudding that was my dessert. For $8.50 you could order a meat and 3 sides, drink, bread and dessert. It was good too. Country cooking. I am supposed to go out Friday and Sat. too. It is killing my budget and hard on the diet, lol.. Just happened things fell on the same week. Probably will eat on the road Sunday at some point going to Birmingham too..

I remember State Farm survey or something telling how many millions of dollars damage were lost do to salt and corrosive materials..nothing to do with insurance..just compiled stats. Not a problem for the deep south. :/

then again, we have so many of our own.... :D Take care all!! ..Jan

I need to chat the anti-cheez-it mantrra too! Lol. Re my project...100% the progammer’s fault. I havevthat requirement in the agreement, there was no waybi could have tested for it because it had to be live before I could see what fields were being overwritten. So no self-blame, just release of unapproved information (which is the whole point of the system!). Happy that I have no medical procedures today!!! Next is the cardio tests on Tuesday. Ever since my veins were destroyed during sepsis, I hate IVs and blood-draws. But I’ll cross each bridge as i get there. Happy Friday!

    Hi
I'm home and did not go walking Thus no money was found. I decided to sleep in today as I was very tired and decided why take the chance of slipping on the snow. The Temperature outside is 30 degrees. The Weather forecast for Friday for snow overnight was accurate, Even where they brined the street it is mostly white.

    Hi Val
Been there done that, I have lost more than one post, sometimes I can recover them easily since I use Firefox there is a History menu item with a recently closed tabs that allows You to select the one You closed and recover it intact. The other option is reopen what You were replying to and try a Control Z or Undo from the Edit menu.

Good BP is indeed good news, The Donuts, well that depends on what they were to a certain extent. The main thing is to not dwell on them and get back on track.

No change from the new position You were looking to get ? Significant problems, As long as it took to go live I would have though that there would be Alpha and Beta testing followed by having it run side by side with the old one that was in use unless it is a whole new thing.
I need to chat the anti-cheez-it mantrra too! Lol. Re my project...100% the programmers fault. I have that requirement in the agreement, there was no way i could have tested for it because it had to be live before I could see what fields were being overwritten. That is good news, It sounds as if You might need a better programmer. If I understand correctly the Project is supposed to block the release of unapproved Information ?

Tuesday, hmm... Good Luck with the cardio tests. I do not blame You for hating anything poking into Your veins.

Since I was feeling run down yesterday I decided it was a decent excuse to stay in bed this morning, I did not manage to sleep later and just lay there dozing and therefor I still feel somewhat tired, Maybe tomorrow I'll walk depends on the weather forecasts tonight. After getting out last year where it was around freezing and having the surfaces turn to ice while I walking, I discovered that when I was crossing a street and it was a sheet of ice and I ended up sitting in the middle of the street scooting on my backside to the curb where I could get enough traction to get back on my feet I am more cautious this year. I wonder how things will be Sunday early as what I saw yesterday on the forecasts is that Sunday would start out rainy and then turn to rain with the High temperature for the day being just after midnight and falling throughout the day. Then Monday and Tuesday are looking bad with whatever falls turning to ice or just plain slippery as the temperatures will be the lowest of the Winter, Single digits with wind chills below Zero.

I ordered all 8 of the the New Dinners one each of the 7 new Frozen and 1 of the new Shelf Stable dinner entrees. As well as the new Snacks, Lemon Cooler Cookie and the Sweet and Salty Nut Bar. The New
Mac and Cheese is shown with Asparagus spears which are a add on, coincidentally I have some frozen ones in the Freezer to put with it. I will be starting to sample them today, I am thinking that I might start with the new Cheesesteak Pizza and or the Homestyle Beef and Vegetables. Since the Creamy Chicken Broccoli Pasta which is low enough calorie to work as a lunch, some of the reviews suggested adding a bit of grated cheese  I'll let You know tomorrow. Some Big dummy, not to point fingers left some of the lunch sandwiches out overnight, I put a couple in the refrigerator to try depends on taste and odor. The Chicken Sandwich smelled OK, Since I had a lot of those anyway they went into the garbage. That means from 2PM to 5AM. As the saying goes, Haste makes waste :(

    Have a Good Day

Sugar in greens, why would they do that ? The breaded Pork Chop sounds tasty, I can see why You ate it as was instead of trying to scrape of the breading which would likely have removed a lot of the flavor too. That is a darn good Price, Our local diner has a Pork Chop meal with two Chops, Salad, Soup which are all high carb, some form of starch such as Potatoes, and another vegetable side and a limited selection of deserts such a Rice Pudding, Tapioca, Puddings or some Cakes, More expensive Too. I almost forgot a bread dish and Butter for the rolls.

I would have trouble passing on the Cornbread, I love a Good Cornbread :(

I can see how that is not helping Your Budget, I take a certain amount of money out of the SSI deposit and when it is gone it's gone and no spending happens.

They never salt down Your way, They must have some plows and salters ?

Yikes, Three more days eating out, be good

    Good morning!

Val, those meals look fabulous!! Especially the mushrooms!! I know you will feel energized by this food!! I am anxious to see how you feel in a few days!! Hope the fixes work out well at work!!

Roger, believe it or not, cooking with sugar added to especially collard greens takes out the bitterness. With some ham hocks or pulled meats, it is good!! Works for older turnip or other greens too. :D Southerners make it sweet or more savory, just like their corn breads. If it is a good recipe they are both good, sugar or not!!

That seemed a larger packet from NS than normal, but the choices sounded good!! I would hate if they changed or discontinued a favorite though!! The older I get, the more things disappear, lol...

Actually, the South did not have equipment for a very long time for snow. They sand more than they salt. Some cities have bought a few, and the transportation dept. often moves them in the state when and where they are needed. That is why everything closes down for days at the slightest snow and flakes, lol. But they are not always needed often so it is hard to want to put money into the equipment.

Take care in the next few days with the possible ice and snow!!! :) Jan

I have now posted some more humor, I loved the BBQ season one

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and once again no money was found. The Temperature out the door was 30 degrees. The Weather forecast for today into tomorrow is not looking good with the start around sundown into Sunday. Whatever falls will end up freezing hard Monday when the Temperatures drop into the teens with the overnight temperatures and wind causing a wind chill in the -10s to -20s.

Mini Reviews. I liked the new Lemon Cooler Cookie, the Lemon odor was a bit strong with a good taste.

Friday I tried the new Creamy Chicken Broccoli Pasta and it was also good, the Creamy sauce reminded me of another NS dish and at 180 calories and Total Carbohydrate of 20g I used it as a Lunch Entree.

Then for Dinner I tried the new Mac and Cheese at 210 calories and a little high Total Carbohydrate of 33g and the Taste was real nice, The Cheese sauce is different than used in the Salisbury Steak with Mav & Cheese being somewhat thicker.

I shall be ordering all of these again on my next order.

    Hi Val
A day off from walking did leave me feeling better. With the Upcoming weather I suspect I shall have two or three days of not walking due to Icing, and below zero wind chill, I could put on thermals and something to block the wind from my upper half, The Lower half would likley feel the wind even through the Thermals. :(

At least they were able to fix it quickly. Eating Keto can be tricky too.

    Someone posted this elsewhere

I know Sugar harms me, It causes cravings and is bad for my Fasting BS.

Ah ha, I knew that the first image looked familiar, Portobello Mushrooms, and it looks tasty too. Boiled Chicken, You are not afraid of cooking out some of the nutrients ?

Just Curious which Atkins meal You ate and how it tasted, The last one I bought without carefully reading the Nutrition information was not what I thought a Atkins meal would be. High Sodium for example.

Have a Good and restful day

Take care in the next few days with the possible ice and snow!!! :) Jan
    Hi Jan
I believe You, It just is not something I would have thought of doing, especially to meats. It was, is ? a fairly large total additions to the Dinner menu, They do seem to have discontinued the Sweet and Sour Chicken, Not a favorite of mine. I can not put my finger on what else they have or will be discontinuing as they seem to want to keep the total count of meals steady. Towards the end of Last year they did additions to the breakfast and Snack menus with a few changes to the lunch menu. This was just the latest changes. It does help to keep getting bored with food from happening.

Sanding can help with icy spots especially at intersections. When I was in Grade School my Grandfather used the Clinkers from the coal furnace on the sidewalks and stairs at his home.

I don’t remember which Atkins meal i had. Chicken something ir other. Maybe marsala? It was fair. Appreciated the convenience because of work. I didn’t think much about how i cooked the chicken ... threw it in a crockpot with water and broth. Again time is always in short supply with me. It’s in the fridge and i just add it to stuff as needed. Breakfast was bell pepper, eggs, and turkey bacon.

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and once again no money was found. The Temperature out the door was 37 degrees. The Weather forecast for a dangerous snowfall overnight was a giant fail. Later Today into tomorrow is not looking good with the temperatures forecast to first warm up and then drop to 5 degrees overnight. Whatever rain that has not dried up will be freezing hard overnight through Monday when the Temperatures drop with the overnight temperatures and wind causing a wind chill in the -10s to -20s.

Mini Review. I liked the new NS Homestyle Beef and Vegetables at 210 calories and Total Carbohydrate of 22g. The One thing I did not care for was a Pepper taste to the sauce. The rest was tasty and the beef was tender and a decent amount.
    From the NS reviews
    1. I really liked it, but it needs a little more salt, and LESS pepper!
    2. Too much pepper for my taste.

I shall be ordering this again on my next order. Just not a huge quantity.

Yesterday my Brother made a Homemade Chicken Pot Pie, Two actually, Both a fair size, Chopped up pre cooked chicken, Mixed vegetables with No potatoes, a Home made gravy and he used a Pie Crust from the Grocery Store as the Crust, On top only as that is how he feels they should be made. I had a small Piece and it was tasty, The second one has been Vacuum Sealed and is residing in the Freezer

Interesting, There is a new to NS Chicken Marsala dinner entree at 230 calories and a Total Carbohydrates of 27g.
I may try this one today or tomorrow.

I just can not get into Turkey Bacon, What I have seen and eaten does not look like or taste like Bacon, It tastes OK but was not what I was expecting.

Roger- i haven’t had pork bacon in about 25 years. So anything is better than vegetarian bacon (i hate that). For turkey bacon, it turns leathery in a frying pan but nice and crispy in the oven (which is how i cook it). I cooked a veggie stew today (cabbage, carrots, onion, celery, broccoli)...I really enjoy that. I’m really not used to meat. But I’m loving the eggs cheese and avocado! I know I’m eating too much. I bought a fancy scale that loads data to an app, and estimates visceral fat and a bunch of stuff. I don’t know how it makes those estimates but it does.

Good morning, And what a couple of days,

The tornado that hit Wetumpka was the same tornado that was visually sighted traveling highway 40 in Elmore county earlier which is my road. When it passed over my area the rotation was weakening and winds were more aloft. It restrengthened farther on, hitting Wetumpka and coming to ground. It is the second time I had one close by, though the first time was closer and not so aloft. This one I could see on radar only but the first time, I heard the freight train sound and thought I was a goner. That one touched down barely a few miles from my house. Wetumpka is actually a bit away though we are in the same county, just opposite ends. I know the area well and travel it too. The church that was totaled was like 140 years old. So sad, but luckily no loss of life, which was a miracle. The weather service here is great. We had been warned for days,,and coverage that whole day was excellent, as it was the day before. I am sure that made a great difference. Their senior center was a total loss, and it was fairly new and a long time coming and putting together, so very sad. The Native American casinos in the state are very generous to help their neighbors so hopefully it will not take long to reestablish a few things, and of course I am sure they will receive a lot of federal and private help.

I just had my internet cable and phone restored a few hours ago. Hence I could not get on this site. Our main office is in Wetumpka, so not sure if that was the problem, or more locally the extremely heavy rains and winds. It was an incredible y rain wrapped tornado in either location, and is most likely a very strong EF-2. They are still investigating damage.

Glad you are feeling better too Roger. Your keto postings looked yummy, I will have to try. Encouraging that you liked so many of the new NS offerings. That is great!! ..... Ice on anything is not good. Hopefully you will have no snowfall to cover the ice...that would be even worse I bet.

I can tell you one thing. I hate it, but the environment will have to wait a year or so on my keto diet. It is working and the only diet that has in the last 45 years of dieting. Also, with their percentages of their carbs for examples, it would trigger my diabetes. Anything over 30 carbs at a sitting would...not to mention I would be again, voraciously hungry, again all the time. They need to solve that problem..heck, admit that problem.. for me to be successful. And they haven't in over 45 years.... :s

Val, do not worry too much in the beginning about the calories. Better to be satisfied first. I still have a hard time making sure my fats are higher than my proteins without a little thought. It seems hard to remember to add extra butter or olive oil. I scramble a little at the end of the day. Thank goodness for fat bombs and coffee with emulsified butter. (bullet proof). And yes the butter kind of turns to cream...it is not gross and fills you for hours, lol...

Jenny and I went to Birmingham today to see "Evita" on stage. And we were almost killed. Trust me, there is a God. We were in Birmingham proper and stopped at a light to turn left. The lane next to us was also a left turn only lane. As we started to turn and was in motion, and thank God Jenny never jumps at a light, a car coming from behind going about 65 to 75 miles per hour came up behind us and went straight thru in the turn lane only. He came so fast that the pressure from his car and God were the only thing between him and us. He would have hit Jenny directly in her car door. Neither of us would have survived. You could not have put a hand in the space, there was only molecules. We sat, looked at each other, and said an actual prayer...not just thank God...because I did not believe we could have been untouched in such an unbelievable and surreal moment...Like I said, an unbelievable few days.....

    Missed you all!! ...Jan

    Hi
I'm home and did not go walking and therefor no money was found. The Temperature outside is a bone chilling 7 degrees with a wind chill overnight -10s to -20s. Not going out in that and I will have to look at the weather forecasts for tomorrow this evening as what I saw a few minutes age showed a overnight of 10 degrees. The Key will be wind, no wind for Tuesday. The one good thing is that it is a Holiday and around where I am the roads are dry, further North the road conditions are variable.

I am not even inclined to open the door and see how it feels outside. I do feel sorry for those that have to be outside in this weather, That would be Firemen, Police, and even the delivery people that deliver from Chinese and Italian. I also suspect that later on the News Broadcasts will be talking about how many no start calls AAA have done today. I also suspect that any food deliveries will arrive colder than usual.

Currently between typing here I am drinking the Coffee I brewed, I also have enough left over to Microwave for tomorrow whether or not I decide to go walking. I pulled the Thermal Bottoms out of the dresser drawer in case I do go walking, Carhart brand if anyone is curious. BTW I put most of today's coffee into a Thermos since the bedroom is running cooler that usual, 68.5 degrees instead of its usual 72 to 73 degrees and that is where the gauge is at head height, I suspect that where I am sitting is cooler since heat rises.

Some of You may be wondering why I buy coffee when walking when I can brew it here easily and fairly quickly if I set the pot up the night before. The answer is that I have no real answer beyond that it gives me a destination and somewhat different coffee tastes when walking. At the Quick Chek and 7 Eleven I can get a Dark Roast, several different Medium Roasts and a Light roast as well as at Quick Chek they also have a Extreme Caffeine, I ignore the flavored coffees as I have never been a fan of them. It is easy enough to tell good coffee from bad coffee when You drink it unsweetened and no milk. To me the Duncan Donut Coffee is good if more expensive so I only go there for a change of destination.

    Hi Val
Thank You for the clarification, I just looked at the Atkins frozen entrees and most of them would work for me, I'm not going Keto, I do need to keep my carbs down for other reasons. As a supplement to the NS meals for more variety they would work, Buy on sale only since I am cheap (Frugal).

I wonder why You had to swing Your arm ? I keep my FitBit in my pants pocket and it counts fine that way. FitBit Zip FWIW.

I'm sorry You have the Bruise, Hopefully not to painful.

That leathery texture and the taste are one of the reasons I skip the Turkey Bacon. Baking Pork Bacon in the oven is one of the things eateries do then they just throw it on the grill Crisp and warm it before serving. If I were doing that I would put it one a rack over a deep baking pan to drain off a lot of the oil.

Fancy scale indeed. How much visceral fat could there have been in the stew ?

    Have a Good Day

    Hi Jan
A shame about the church as well as the Senior Center. I was a bit worried that the tornado might have had an impact on You and Your house, I'm glad to hear that it passed over You with no damage for You. I seem to recall it was not that far back in time another once passed by You. That was my second guess that You lost Internet. EF-2 is nothing to ignore, I am a little surprised that You do not have a Tornado Shelter. Are the uncommon in Your area ?
I hope You are right and that it does not take long to get things back up and running. I wonder if they could get a temprary Senior center established ?

I am afraid to take my Blood Sugar TBH, I also have a home A1C test kit I should use and see what is happening. I looked at some of the Atkins Frozen Meals and at least some of them are nice and low in total carbs Some are a bit higher than I would like, OTOH as a way to add variety to the Diet if bought on sale... BTW Someone elsewhere mentioned that they tried the A1C home test and the results compared to the doctors test and it was very close.

I had a Cesar Salad for Breakfast, I bought two different Salads at the Shoprite yesterday at 50% off.

The Weathermen got it wrong earlier in the week with their gloom and doom predictions for snow, sleet, ice and rain amounts. Here where I am it only rained and the roads dried off before the bitter cold arrived

I posted a couple of YouTube video links from a different message thread and some of the recipes look tasty too.

Carbs are a trigger for me also, and sadly craving effects of one day of too many carbs take a couple of days to go away.

Bad Drivers that are in a hurry are everywhere. I look before going when a traffic light turns green since I have seen to many drivers run the red light through the intersection. I had people pass on the right and go around me on the left when I had the audacity to stop at a red light and look before proceeding. I also recall someone behind me honking their as I was slowing down for a Stop Sign :(

Evita, I was lucky enough to get discounted matinee tickets to the original Broadway Cast and shows with Patty Lupone many Years ago, What a Great Broadway show. I also got tickets to see Yul Brynner in the King and I on Broadway when the revived it. Now I have no desire to go near New York City, Dangerous if You are not familiar where the safe areas are and with the prices the shows are also out of my being able to afford them. I hope YOu enjoyed the show as much as I did when You got there.

I'm glad that idiot in such a rush did not cause any injury or an accident.

    Good morning!

You are too cold for me up there!! And cold for you means really cold!!

Some of those recipes looked yummy, especially the cabbage pie that was made. Some of the recipes in the last video, (not the only, lol... :#) were awfully high for strict keto also. If your portions were in keeping, it might not be worth making for such a small amount. You have success freezing things, so of course always an option..

Butter here is only a little more than margarine, depending on the brand. I also use it less as what you are making can really be targeted specifically and is often less food than usual per day. I would not have believed bullet proof coffee myself if I had not tried it. The butter must be mixed with an emersion blender- that is a must. I am not fond of most flavored coffees.

My daughter absolutely loves Patti Lupone. She would love to see her in anything!! How lucky to be able to take in all those shows..probably a really great time period in Broadway history. I saw Yul Brenner once in Cleveland in a small theater in the round. It was a great venue..and I do not quite remember where exactly it was located. Bugs me, I can think of no one I know living that could tell me. I remember we would go to Warrensville Heights, I think, to a Brown Derby for supper on the same day..I remember seeing Tom Jones and Mitzi Gaynor there too. ( theater, not B.D.!) A long time ago!! I enjoyed it a lot, but Jenny said they were not the best touring crew and had expected better. Not in the same league as the original cast for sure!! :) Jenny said the Atlanta tickets were running over $400.00 for the nosebleed section for Hamilton, that new musical. She did not like a lot of the newer music in it, which included some rap...though the critics have all said it is excellent. I would not pay that, lol.. She said she would to ever see Patty Lupone!! :)

I was thankful to see anyone on that day!! <3

Val, great job on losing!! Hope your bruising heals soon!! I need to exercise for sure!! Not just run like a chicken with her head cut off!!

Very sad article on the "mini pigs."

Hope everyone has a very good day!! ...Jan

I just posted some humor, Some truth in the first one too.

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and once again no money was found. The Temperature out the door was 13 degrees. Monday when the Temperatures dropped with the overnight temperatures and wind causing a wind chill in the -10s to -20s I did not go walking. This morning it was a bit warmer and less windy so I did go out walking after heating up the 1/2 pot of coffee left over from yesterday.
