Time gets away from me. I went to pick up Sammy, but he was do settled in there that i let them continue fostering. He’s gorgeous and trained...must have belonged to someone. He looks sad like he’s waiting for them. She lives in the country where cattle dogs are much more popular than jn the city. Thanks for the compliment Jan. I’m not like the Dog Whisperer where he can walk a new dog into his pack. I first keep the new dog separated from mine, then introduce one on one, often with a walk to meet out front. Work is taking all my energy. Im not feeling bad but not good either. I feel so far behind in life...haven’t even gathered my stuff to do taxes. Take care.

    Hi Val
I think You did the right thing, if Sammy was settled in why cause more disruption in his life.

I'm sorry to hear that work is doing that at least You are not feeling worse, I hope You do better.

Good Luck with Your taxes mine are done and the refund is long since back and my brothers are done and off to the Leeches AKA IRS.

    Cheers

    Good Morning!

Well, I have gathered the income tax, Val, but not worked on it. I have less going on, so you are not so bad! Of course, Roger has his back already, lol! That overachiever! :) Keep eating well, and get some rest every day, in spite of that schedule!! I hate when dogs seem sad and waiting for their previous owners. He looks happy in his picture though. I hope he finds just the right home!

Roger, caught up on the articles, too. Very interesting on the remains of the warrior found in Greece. Imagine finding a treasure like that intact. How amazing. Okay, Now I have a tentative date for that satellite falling. I feel so much better...lol! What a thing to happen!

I hope the damage at your town is getting fixed. Sounds like you are getting out in spite of that and the weather! I had not heard of the Ore-ida crack an egg. Sounds interesting. Did you like it? We do the macaroni salad down south too. With the same dressings. you see more potato salad, but mac salad is good too. I love it! I cannot believe I put back so much weight in like 3 days. :'( Hopefully it will come off quickly too, though not as quickly as putting it on, I am sure! Bummer... >:) Temptation...and leftovers...

Love Chilly Willie! Keep warm up there! Happy you are losing! :) ...Jan Freezes at nite here... :|

    Hi Jan
I rushed them as Mine were very simple and I could do them online for free and they even filed them electronically for free

I find that many of the news links are interesting, Not that they get mentioned on Network TV news :(

The town was around with a front loader, chainsaws and dump trucks and loaded all the broken branches off of the block and I noticed other areas were cleared up too. The neighbor that had a large branch broken down and hanging on the Decorative Cherry tree in the center of her yard lucked out too. They cut of the broken branch and carted it away too. That should save her some money

I liked the Ore-Ida breakfast, I did spend a few minutes picking out the Green and Red Peppers as I never developed a liking for them in a Breakfast. It was more or less a Omelet without being omelet shaped as it came in a plastic cup that it was cooked in. I guess I could have gone overboard and used two eggs instead of one. OTOH it was 170 calories + the eggs calories so.... I have one more in the refrigerator to try that is 100 calories + whatever the egg adds. A quick easy tasty breakfast option, just not cheap. It seems to be a new item according to the commercial I saw about them. The taste was pretty much like the Jimmy Dean one that has the egg inside the cup in a pouch.

The weight seems to leap on speedily and crawl off :(

Glad You enjoyed the Chilly Willie.

I had put some weight on from one day of Chinese Take Out that took several days to drop so, One day to gain and 3 or four to lose, Oh well.

Hi all. Roger, i was thinking ... the change that you find, is it kore often near bus stops? Or outside of stores? Work is too busy. Last night Oscar was really out of sorts...we were up all night as he insisted on bring in my arms. He was panting all night and crying and literally was laying on my chest to be close to me. It reminded me of how scared he gets with a tornado, but I checked and there were no weather activities anywhere close to me. I was scared he was having a heart attack. That went on almost all night but today he’s completely himself again! He slept while I worked so I hope tonight goes smoothly.

Val, I hope Oscar is okay! I wonder what went on with him. That was sure strange... Glad he is back to normal. I had a dog that heard storms over 50 minutes away. Something tells me that wasn't it though... Hope work is not kicking your butt!

I will have to look for your various egg dishes, Roger. They sound good. I did better today, but am going out Thursday for Italian. Oh well...I do not see me getting a salad... :D Glad you are doing so well! But yes, it sure comes back fast and takes forever to re lose! :'(

Cool you got your taxes free. and did not pay to file. It cost me $200.00 last time I used turbo tax. My lady that does them is actually cheaper.... :)

I have posted more humor, enjoy

    Hi
I'm back from walking again and no cents. The temperature this morning was 33 on the porch and somewhat breezier than yesterday.

I had my second Consumer Cellular bill today, so much cheaper than the Verizon Land Line, I wish I had changed some time in the past. It is only a little bit over $17 approximately 1/2 of what I was paying for a No Frill Verizon Land Line. And with the Cheapo Alcatel Flip Phone costing $30 I have already passed the Break even point. Toss in the Free trial period as a AARP member and Whee !

The scale was nicely lower than yesterday morning, again, It seems that the "Time-restricted eating" combined with a 100% NS plan is working really well so far.

    Hi Val
You have hit the nail on the head with Your guess. I find it on the ground by the bus stops and in parking lots much of the time. OTOH some of the larger amounts found are on the sidewalk or open ground where people take short cuts, just less often than in bus stops.

I hope Oscar was OK last night.

    Hi Jan
I could do a recreation of them cheaper if I had the ingredients on hand, I would have to have sausage crumbles or real Bacon Bits, Cooked Potatoes and of course Eggs  Those three ingredients would make a easy and tasty Microwave breakfast that would make me happy.

Today I stopped at the convenience store for breakfast, I will now explain...
They have a Two for $4 muffin breakfast sandwiches deal, I bought a Bacon, Egg and Cheese English muffin and a Sausage, Egg and Cheese English muffin. Then I sat down, opened them up and ate the insides and two small bites out of one of the Muffin halves. So in effect I had two Eggs, a sausage patty, two thin slices of what was left of the cheese that had not melted into the muffin and a thin round of Bacon. Sort of like the round bacon that McDonalds uses. The way I look at it I got Protein and dodged the empty calories from the two English Muffins.

If I were going for Italian I think I would have a salad no dressing which I do not mind and maybe a meatball or sausage Sub and not eat the bread. Good Luck.

I used the paid Turbotax in the past and I agree it was not that cheap. Now I can use the free version of it online and it is enough. If the IRS mailed forms anymore I could have used them to and probably been done quicker that doing it online with all the questions that have to be answered for Turbo Tax, Oh well free is still a good price.

I did sort of wonder if there was some nearby noise that bothered Oscar that Val could not hear, either below here hearing threshold or at a frequency that Oscar could hear and she could not hear ?

    Congratulations on this:

    Good Morning!

I do not know how you can only eat 2 bites of your muffin, but I commend you on it! I could not do that. I think for me that it is easier not having that breakfast, lol... Sure sounds good though!! I consider it a win if I do not have hash browns with it! :D

I thought about that noise for Oscar, too. But it is weird it would last the entire night...Unexplained mysteries....

I guess the massive solar flare thing did not disrupt much. At least I did not hear of anything... :)

Good insight on what to eat at the Italian place. I kind of zeroed in on the spaghetti and meatballs and sausage on the menu. If I was good, I should get a Gyro and salad as they have Greek food also. I have been craving spaghetti though...maybe I need to eat before I go! :#

    Hi Jan
It was not that hard, If I brought the English Muffins home and toasted them then it would be different. The other option would be to use them as a Hamburger or Cheeseburger. I used to use English Muffins for that in the past. The easiest way to avoid them is to throw them away unwrapped and uneaten. Avoiding Their Hash browns is fairly easy as they are more of a flattened Potato Tot  The same as Dunkin Donuts sells FWIW, I tried them in the past when I had a Coupon for a free serving. I do like the McDonalds Hash Browns. When my Brother has Hash Browns he takes a Potato, Grates it, squeezes out the water and Fries them as a Patty in the Cast Iron Skillet.

Hallelujah, the solar flare was a non event.

I think I would try and fail to only eat a taste of the Pasta and fail. I have Meatballs that are around 4 ounces in weight that were picked up at Bishops, They are seasoned and no Sauce. I slice one, heat it, use a little Ketchup and put the slices in a sandwich made out of Two 40 calorie slices of the 647 bread
    http://bishopssupermarket.com/
They make and sell hot foods, many selections of which such as the Meatballs are sold in smallish trays that are chilled as seen here:
    http://bishopssupermarket.com/prepared-foods.html

I have found that eating before shopping helps avoid impulse buys and the same is true of eating out, However eating before going defeats the purpose of going out to eat.

If I have a refund coming back then I want to file as soon as I can, If I owe than File on April 14, just in case.

    Good Luck with Your Taxes

    Good Morning!

Finally, back to a little warmth! Our weather this week has been beautiful. Perfect for sitting in the sun, throwing May's ball around and meditating. Not too much damage on the diet front, well worth the spaghetti and meatballs and sausage. The sausage was a good tasting one, but served sliced thin, so the calorie count was not too bad. The pasta is actually one of their smaller servings, so I lucked out there. All their other servings are gigantuen and looked and tasted amazing. So diet wise I escaped that bullet. :D The rolls put me over...We waited a bit for our drinks and rolls as their was a slight mix up in our booking. But the salads and dinners came out fast, fast, especially as there was 40 of us!!

Well, lucky you having N.J. in such a place for no money and running out of pension funds and everything else. Sound terribly dramatic and frightening. How does that effect you? Gee, I am used to our state being last on most things. (or second to last..) It seems unreal your cost of living is so high...I just would not have thought that... :/

Two of my three other dogs also freak out with fireworks but they were completely chill while he was panicking, do that’s why I ruled that out. Work is even more ridiculous. Hi
I'm back from walking again and no cents. The temperature this morning was 28 degrees .
Yesterday the day turned windy, Considering that the early morning when I was walking there was no breeze the midday wind gusts were surprising. Parts of the NY Metropolitan area had wind gusts in the 30+ MPH range with Newark, NJ hitting gusts of 39MPH.

Yesterday we precooked via boiling Potatoes, Cabbage and Corned Beef so that they will be a easy heat to eat.

How nice for You to have warm weather finally. Interesting that they sliced the sausage, did they also slice the Meatballs ? I always preferred to slice my own into sizes I like. The breads are always a problem as they are more or less empty calories.

At this point I can not think of what caused Oscars problem, I wish I had a better idea.

What a system, Put assignments where You can not access them and not have a system to let You know what they are, Yikes... You are likely right that they have gone nuts.

Illness has that effect on diet, All You can do is get back on a plan to lose weight and eat healthy.

16 Pounds in 2 months is enough to make clothes tight :(
I read a news link that says eating healthy helps cure depression.

    Good Morning!

The sun came out this afternoon, but I still do not feel like going and doing much. It was cool and grey this morning and I am okay with that! Everyone I know wants to sleep. Maybe it is left over from the time change... I am so lazy I hardly want to pay my bills online, and that is with my caffeine little cup of Mocha coffee which is a treat. That is lazy.... I am glad you got out early to walk Roger, as the wind makes it rather uncomfortable at that temperature. I guess I am too lazy to get out for Irish fixings, but I might just fix a small shepherds pie with what I have and pretend! Or celebrate with a spot of Bailey's and say a toast with an Irish accent. Won't that count?

Val, so sorry you are having difficulties. I think I would have a hard time without my meat protein. If nothing else it does rein in my cravings for a while. It is hard like Roger says when being sick, and combining it with work. You are remarkable to be able to stick with that company! Need helps, of course! :# I am glad Oscar has had no repeat of his bad nite...

Loved seeing the fossils from Greenland. I remain skeptical about missing links from the animal world to our brains based on a few fossils though. Of course I do run into human specimens that might support their theory! :D

I wish I could move occasionally. I loved St. Simon island in Georgia. I would love to downsize into a small little house there. I actually liked the area around Huntsville, Al. too. I would love to take daily walks in St. Simon's....What is that saying? If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.... :)

Amazing that baby Jesus returned home. I wonder if anyone in the congregation remembers it... I would not mind a steeple for a tower in my neighborhood. I do not get good cell coverage here...I suppose it could be used for evil though...targets... I wonder why they just do not build a tower? I guess it costs less to use existing land and structure from someone else!

Headed for humor!! Thanks!! Jan... B)

    New Humor, Enjoy

    Hi
I'm back from walking again and no cents. The temperature this morning was 29 degrees. Yesterday I weighed the change that has been building up in my pockets and came up with 647g AKA 1.42639 pounds. Then I removed much of the change to lighten the load on the pockets.

Yesterday we had Boiled Red Potatoes, Boiled Cabbage and Boiled Corned Beef for Dinner, The Corned Beef was $1.88 a pound at the ShopRite using their coupon.

FWIW Friday my brother and I went to look at the new Whole Foods Grocery Store, It looked open with the store being full of people and the parking lot being pretty full. However upon checking the cars and people were what they called associates there for training and the store does not open until March 21. Oops.

    Hi Jan
I have been feeling Lazy myself, I blame the season

I do not feel like going far until I have picked up and started drinking my coffee too. Some mornings when I am at the Quick Chek I decide to get their Extreme Caffeine Blend of coffee. They do have a large selection of coffees to choose from in the insulated dispensers.

The NYC news broadcast I saw Saturday had a item about the Irish Society that said read Irish Books instead of drinking Guinness Beer. Spelling ?

Thanks!! Jan... B)

As I understand it from reading the article the permit process is much less complicated if they put the Cell on a Existing building vs a long drawn out process building a tower from scratch and a easier simpler review process too.

They have had problems here in NJ with Cell towers being vandalized by Copper Thieves. Putting them into steeple on a church should make them better protected.

There have even been instances of churches being broken into and having the copper wiring stolen :( Thus I agree that their are animals out there among us.

A smaller house would be less expensive to operate

    Have a Good Day

I’m in tears and shaking...but neither Oscar nor I got hurt this time! So, we set off to donone lap around our little block. 1/4 if the way two loose 100 pound dogs come charging toward us. I put iscar in a down stay, and i puffed up and yelled at the dogs. They stopped. I told them “go home” but they started coming at us again. I puffed up more and told them NO! Luckily their owner came running out and called the dogs. I thanked him. They continued coming toward us but between my yelling at them and their owner coming closer, they went home. He apologized and said it was an accident that they got loose. I thanked him again. Then turned around and came home in tears. I’m not over the doberman attack. That’s were my life vanished and I’ve been struggling and failing ever since.
