    Hi
I'm back from walking and No cents. The Temperature out the door was 63 degrees and I was Comfortable for the first time in days. Today I need to mow the somewhat overgrown lawn, I just did not feel like doing it in the High temperatures and humidity :(

Then another trip to Lowes for more mulch, The last ten bags were not enough sadly.

    Good morning!!

Val, I hope you have a wonderful vacation too! The girls are so lucky to have you!! Enjoy yourselves and safe travels!! :)

Interesting articles, and I am enjoying the little jokes with the spoilers! I love those kind of funnies!

Hopefully you will start to get some relief on the humidity and temps soon! Do a lot of people have air where you are? In Ohio it was unheard of for homes. Wonder if that has changed in 50 years, lol...

I did not realize dogs could take melatonin. Cool! I take some too at bedtime. Works pretty well.

Had to chuckle about your couch arriving, Val, and the covers going on. Very familiar...

Glad you found the dime! I bet you do well for Chinese! You have a lot of discipline!!

    Have a great week-end! ...Jan
    Hi Jan
I did not do as well as I hoped. Some of what I ate were Beef Broccoli, Chicken Broccoli letting the sauce drain off. Chicken in several forms including wings and something called Sweet Rib Tails that were tasty OTOH ?
I did stay clear of most of the Carb laden dishes until the end where I had some cake and ice cream :(

I suspect that most people have AC even if they do not run it until the weather turns beastly.

I take melatonin a 1/2 hour before I head off to bed too, it seems to help at night.

What Costs Millions of dollars but is worthless ?
    Second place in an election
I ran out of those spoiler jokes for now I hate to say except for the political one.
It it offends You let me know, I thought it was funny if truthful

As I look out the Window I see a Rabbit on the neighbors driveway. While walking I saw the usual suspects, Rabbits, Squirrels, Birds hear Owls and Woodpeckers, I also saw two smallish deer feeding in a school playground, not the first time for that location either.

With the nice overnight temperatures I walked a lot further despite planning to mow the grass later and Pick up mulch at Lowes too. On my return to the before I came in I filled the mower and got it ready to use once it is late enough in the morning

    Friday was Fried Chicken Day
    https://www.thrillist.com/news/nation/national-fried-chicken-day-deals-2018
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Fried_Chicken_Day
National Fried Chicken Day is observed in the United States of America annually on July 6. It is unclear how the day originated.

In observance of the day, fried chicken is prepared in a variety of ways, and eaten.

Some chain fried chicken restaurants such as Church's Chicken and KFC, and other chain restaurants such as Grandy's, offer promotions on National Fried Chicken Day.

It's Your fault that I want a Roast Prime Rib since You mentioned "Jenny took me out for my birthday. She had prime rib."

Once the President announced his pick for the Supreme Court what I suspect were prepared in advance press releases knocking the choice were in the news very quickly last night. I though that the person chosen said good thing at the press conference, OTOH what do I know.

My suspicion is that in the grand scheme of life none of it make much difference for me.

    Good morning!

Glad the first part of your walk went well. The mornings and evenings here are awful with the humidity and warmth just staggering. The heat of the day is actually nicer as it burns off some of the humidity! The mosquitoes are bad enough to carry off small dogs and rather numerous. The flies are so bad too I ordered my fly paper stick ups for my two doors for the inside. Gross, but necessary. They come in a day or so,but not soon enough. I need to remember to order them in June! Sounds peaceful seeing the deer. I did take may May for a game of catch so she is entirely pooped out and we are all blessedly peaceful!

I did not get to my 7 am small group. I forgot to take my melatonin last nite, and took my meds later than I wanted. I was up till after 3 am, so no way I was getting up at 6:30. :s I did get up at 8 am to get to my Dr appt. even though I had only about 4 hours of sleep. So I took a nap this afternoon while trying to watch a movie. Now if I can sleep tonite! I need to be in bed a little earlier! LOL!

I am taking my car in the morning to have my repair work done. I should get it back on Friday. My daughter invited me to breakfast at Shoney's after we drop it off. For her diet she will do well as she plans egg, bacon, sausage and cheese and no carbs from the buffet. The biscuits and the french toast on the buffet will do me in as I am of the little will power persuasion. I can skip the eggs and pancakes though, no temptation. The fried potatoes always look better than they taste. I will keep that in mind. I did well today though. And I will do well on Thursday being house bound with my healthier foods! :#

I kept wondering how some of these these young people pay their phone bills that run 100 dollars or much more a month. I get it now, the parents are paying it...Broke up Ma Bell to cater to corporate greed. I remember paying 10 to 15 dollars a month or less even with long distance...

Sounds like you are paying our gas prices we had at the beginning of summer. We hover around three/gallon more or less.

Have a great day! How is your garden doing? Jan
