    I was happy to get home, though... long day! My grand kids love to play board games which normally I like. However, I do not have a good memory. The first was movies which we each picked, and there were 6 of us. We made it around the table like 4 times...meaning we had to recite everyone's picks in order from memory..which is 24 movies, and I finally could not remember..no surprise ! Then did Pictionary, and my granddaughter and I came in dead last, due to me of course, lol.. Too much thinking!!! I just do not think as fast as they do,( and really do not want to). I really would have enjoyed just talking and catching up, and reminiscing... Is that awful I enjoy my talks with my older friends more now ? We all have old timers! :) But still had a good time being together!

    Long days are OK if they do come back to back. I never played Board games like You describe, I have played many board games through the years, just not those.

    I should have followed my own post too, Oh well at least Thanksgiving Day is only once a year.

    I plan to stay in the house now that I am back from walking. No way am I going out shopping today. Until at least next week after Cyber Monday is over.

    Long drive today will get us home earlier tomorrow. Drove from Indianapolis to Texarkana. In bed at the hotel but I still feel like the car is moving.

    The holidays go too fast!! We could use a couple of extra days down here! LOL!

    Raining all tonite, it was a good day to stay home, cloudy all day yesterday but perfect be at home weather.

    No way I am venturing our either. Too many people!! Not for a bit anyway !! :#

    I was a little hungry today, all that sugar from the tort. Hopefully did not kick me out of keto..We will see. The keto potatoes were fine. I did have a small spoonful of the reg. potatoes..hence the munchies today..Few carbs and lots of protein and water today.. I did okay..

    Tomorrow really need to do some work..I have been lazy this last few days,,and it was nice, lol...

    To me that is a toss up a longer day to have shorter following days drive.
    I should talk OTOH, In the past when I went to Florida on vacation I left early in the morning and did not overnight until I was South of Jacksonville Florida when I ran out of energy.

    I am always happy to be able to look out the window at bad weather and know I can stay inside.

    Friday The Thanksgiving meal was so delicious that Friday I ended up heating leftover Mashed Potatoes, Bread Stuffing with butter melted into them along with some homemade gravy. Then I followed that up with Turkey covered in Gravy. Then Brussels Sprouts, Asparagus, Some Green olives stuffed with Pimentos, Black Olives and some Sweet Gherkins followed up with a slice of Homemade Pumpkin Pie and Homemade Whipped cream topping the pie. As a result I am low energy today, A day or two of eating properly will let me have more energy. The leftovers were so tasty however. I do have a Ziploc bag of Celery that I will be using as a snack if I get to feeling hungry which I suspect that I will.
    Ouch :(

    Today All the leftovers that are left get portioned up, Vacuum Sealed and Frozen. That should remove any temptations. I will leave some Turkey unfrozen to use for Proteins today.

    I stayed off of the roads excluding while I was walking. To many crazy people on the roads.

    I agree Carbs will trigger hunger.

    I have been looking through mail order catalogs that arrived in the mail for inspiration on Christmas gifts for Family members and friends. Then since I do not like spreading credit Card information all over the internet I look on Amazon and if the price is the same or close enough I buy there.

    We’re home! We slept in till 6am, had breakfast and didn’t start driving until daylight! Normally we’re on the road at 4am! My doggies and I were so happy to see each other! They were well lived, but I’m their mama. I was planning on receiving 6 puppies today but that got postponed until next Saturday...which is good. I need time to get back in the swing of things.     I'm back home from walking and once again nothing found. The Temperature out the door was 45 degrees. The rain in the forecast for Saturday afternoon into the early hours of Sunday arrived on schedule and appears to have left on time to as things were wet but drying out. When I headed out the door there was a breeze so I felt some wind chill, then within a half hour that died away so it was comfortable despite being dressed a bit lightly. I did get the Laundry washed, dried and folded yesterday.

    We count on or more likely depend on leftovers from Thanksgiving and Christmas for our New Years Day Meal.
    So far we have Vacuum sealed and frozen Turkey, Gravy, Homemade Cranberry Sauce, and Stuffing. Maybe 1/2 of the second Pumpkin Pie too.

    Most Holidays tend to be overeating holidays.
    I overate Thursday and Friday sadly.

    Not getting rich is a understatement :(

    I did get back to 100% for my diet Saturday. Today I am still craving Chinese Wish me luck. These days I tell them hold the rice and steer clear of dishes with noodles or breaded foods, Those would be the Chicken Wings and Things like Sweet and Sour Chicken or pork. Thick breading and a sugary Sauce.

    The news is so sanitized on the news broadcast and many websites the Agenda is obvious to me.

    There must be dread all over!! People going back to work. It seemed a short holiday.

    I am having a little trouble myself staying under my protein allowance. Those few carbs and even my allowed carbs made me hungry. Today I finally did better,,but was still a little hungry. I am not usually like that on keto. I need to go for my blood work, so I hope Thanksgiving did not throw me out of ketosis.. I guess I will go Monday or Tuesday. I wish I had one more week, lol.

    Very interesting stories about the Fla, tunnels, Sodom, and mapping the brain. Their news is much more interesting than ours, have you noticed? Long day at church, but nice. We had a special Thanksgiving service with lots of singing...

    Chinese food...I miss my fried stuff, but so far have made good choices...pretty good since it is a buffet. I may end up there Tuesday. And supposed to go for lunch Weds. and Thursday..Not good for my diet for sure.. :|

    Hope everyone survives Monday!! After a holiday it is rough to get back to normal..even retired. People need to take more holidays!! :) ...Jan

    I do not blame You, I never wanted to go to work after being on vacation.

    I remember when I was a youngster riding along country roads in Illinois and Iowa and the barns as well as Silos off to the side. Another thing that sticks in my minds are the Burma Shave signs along the roads.

    There were days I dreaded going back to work TBH.

    I had cravings Sunday, I need to stay 100% on my NS plan until Christmas and then 100% between ahead of New Years. Good Luck with the Ketosis.

    I have noticed that the overseas news seems to have better coverage of news here in America. The majority of the news from here seems to be based to fit a agenda sadly.

    Fried foods seem to be addictive. At a Chinese buffet try and stay with unbreaded proteins and vegetables, Not a easy task either. Enjoy and good luck.

    The hardest day after a holiday feast is the next day IMO.

    Morning!!

    I was hungry all day today..not too sure why. I go to get my blood work done Tuesday..because i rolled over and went back to sleep on Monday. lol...

    I accomplished a few things today..but not much!

    I did watch Fantastic Creatures which I meant to see when it came out, and totally never did. It was really good, and hopefully I will go see the sequel at the big screen this week. We do not go often, but the sequel will be great on the large screen. We may make a week of it and see the Grinch movie that is out for Christmas. The previews were so funny, I can't wait to see the movie. It has been a long time since we went to a movie...and even longer before that. Too expensive and few good movies.Taking jerky is not the same as eating popcorn. Maybe I will take pork rinds :#

    I am craving about every carb imaginable. I am assuming it stems from the torte I ate at Thanksgiving. The sugar must still be in my system..I guess. Of course I am not sure I regretted eating it!! I miss my fried things at the Chinese place. Especially eggrolls and wontons. The South does not have the best Chinese, or we don't, I should say since it gave way to all buffets like 20 years ago.

    I did not meet with my friend after all, so I saved money and calories. That just leaves Weds. and Thursday to deal with. We have talked extensively though. My friend's little dog died a few days ago. :'( She had been doing better, but I think her heart just gave out. Since my friend is a very good nurse, she tends to really nurse her dogs to the end. I probably would not quite go to the lengths she does. Her little one she just lost I probably would have done what she did, but she lost another just a few months ago. She has bought O2 tents for him and he spent a lot of time in cardiac intensive care which gave him a few extra months. I probably would not do that. I have learned though everyone does a little differently and it is a very hard thing to lose them..so no judgement there. Neither suffered and was given good care. A shame our fur babies do not live as long as we do. I suspect that would not matter..still hard.

    We are in the upper 20's tonite but thank goodness the wind stopped. We barely made it to 50 degrees today but with the wind, it seemed much colder. Could be because I was wearing flip flops with my sweats when outside. :)

    The fruits (Fruit) I have on hand at the moment is the homemade Cranberry Sauce, It has some Orange Juice and Sugar, It is still nicely tart and I am being careful to only eat a little bit as Desert with my main meal. I do sort of want to get out to the grocery store tomorrow for some big seedless red grapes. The downside to going there would be all the tempting ready to eat foods.

    I Put the lighted Christmas Theme lights in the Picture Window, They do light up the room at night too. I still need to hang the wreath on the front door and that will be that for decorating until we put up the tree.

    Hi. During my 9-day “vacation” I only took 5 1/2 hours of vacation time. I ended up working...and im completely failing two assignments because they were given to me late. Even though I told them I was unavailable on the weekend because I was driving. I guess they didn’t believe me. So now I’m the failure but i say they are the failure for ignoring my words. I told them to find someone else and they chose not to. My day yesterday got worse and worse and I ended up just turning off the computer and crying in frustration. Sigh. And, the highly visible project that ive been working on for months...that gets released 12 December...I finally saw what the programmers did...and its a mess. Very frustrating.

    I did watch Fantastic Creatures which I meant to see when it came out, and totally never did. It was really good, and hopefully I will go see the sequel at the big screen this week. We do not go often, but the sequel will be great on the large screen. We may make a week of it and see the Grinch movie that is out for Christmas. The previews were so funny, I can't wait to see the movie. It has been a long time since we went to a movie...and even longer before that. Too expensive and few good movies.Taking jerky is not the same as eating popcorn. Maybe I will take pork rinds :#

    Good Luck taking foods, the theaters around here do not allow You to bring foods since what they make at the snack bar is often the only money they make, Many of them turn the entire ticket cost over to the distributor to get the new releases. I night take jerky rather than pork rinds since the jerky can be eaten silently.

    Thanks for the review, I never saw that one either. Was it as good as the Harry Potter Movies ? I also wonder if they will be making Harry Potter and the Cursed Child into a movie ?
    I am craving about every carb imaginable. I am assuming it stems from the torte I ate at Thanksgiving. The sugar must still be in my system..I guess. Of course I am not sure I regretted eating it!! I miss my fried things at the Chinese place. Especially eggrolls and wontons. The South does not have the best Chinese, or we don't, I should say since it gave way to all buffets like 20 years ago.

    I did not meet with my friend after all, so I saved money and calories. That just leaves Weds. and Thursday to deal with. We have talked extensively though. My friend's little dog died a few days ago. :'( She had been doing better, but I think her heart just gave out. Since my friend is a very good nurse, she tends to really nurse her dogs to the end. I probably would not quite go to the lengths she does. Her little one she just lost I probably would have done what she did, but she lost another just a few months ago. She has bought O2 tents for him and he spent a lot of time in cardiac intensive care which gave him a few extra months. I probably would not do that. I have learned though everyone does a little differently and it is a very hard thing to lose them..so no judgement there. Neither suffered and was given good care. A shame our fur babies do not live as long as we do. I suspect that would not matter..still hard.

    We are in the upper 20's tonite but thank goodness the wind stopped. We barely made it to 50 degrees today but with the wind, it seemed much colder. Could be because I was wearing flip flops with my sweats when outside. :)

    I suspect as well as believe that when You eat something like the Torte the effects linger in You system for many days.

    Yum, Crispy Fried Eggrolls or Wontons Fried or in liquid. Locally I can now get Beef Cheese-steak Eggrolls as well as vegetable, Shrimp or pork versions. No matter what all of the above are a high calorie handful. The Eggrolls at the Chinese Buffets are usually not crisp as they sit out until they get selected and quite possibly are baked rather than deep fried too.

    The simple fact that I do not deal well with any death, excluding bugs and vermin are a big reason I do not have pets :( Pets die and that would bother me for a long time afterwards.

    Yikes, colder than here from what You say for the overnights. I think Your choice of footwear could easily contribute to feeling cold as did the wind
