    Hi Vix
We lost so many people since NutriSystem closed their website. I still think that was and is a short-sided move on their part.

I like that You drop in here too. I'll be posting some more humorous pictures shortly :)

Supposed to be up to 60 degrees here FWIW, I say it that way as I already walked and have no plans to go out later at this time.

    Enjoy the Day

We just got back from a nice long walk in the park. Haven't done that in a while. It was somewhat muddy, but the weather is gorgeous. :)

    Good morning.
Very cloudy, but supposed to get up into the 50s today. Off to yoga.
    Have a great day. :)

    Hi Vix
Hopefully You get everything done in dry weather. I agree the weather has been OK the last few days, I hope it lasts. My only worry with muddy is slipping and falling :)

    Good morning.
I did slip a little on one muddy spot, luckily I have pretty good balance, and I was being really careful. :)
Supposed to be another beautiful day today....sunny and up to 60F! :)

    Hi Vix
I used to have great balance and was able to run up and down stairs, now I use the handrails and a more sedate pace too :)

Slippery surfaces is where a good walking stick comes into usefulness for me, grade changes too.

I agree a great day outside

    Have a Good Day

    Hi Vix
I am here :) I have now warmed up too. I will say that it was invigorating outside except when a wind gust came along so I did have the hood up on my Hoodie.

I'm sure they are there. I will admit that the closing of the NutriSystem Forums was a blow. I do not know if it was a economy measure or what I suspect a cost saving measure. My suspicious nature wonders if it was due to posts plugging the sale prices on the Gift cards at CostCo and People like me buying food from others that were not using it and a good price. Or as a even more paranoid theory :) that they wanted to be the only source for advice?

    Have a Good Day

Hey Roger....I think it was a lot of things. You may have been on nice peaceful threads, but there were some where there was a lot of animosity. Some people were being really awful to each other. There were also a lot of people otherwise not following the rules. At least one person was plugging her own fitness business. I think they didn't want to spend the time and effort for all the complaints I'm sure they were getting.
Anyway, I'm glad I have a few nice people to talk to here. I know I don't talk much about dieting specifically, but it still feels like we all share similar issues and we can learn from each other and keep each other motivated.
    Have a good night. :)

    Hi Vix
IMO handling that sort of thing is a moderators duty on a forum and is really not that arduous to do. Many forums use volunteer moderators such as where I moderate when I have free time. In the case of NS I think they just wanted only employees to do so and begrudged the expense. Not to mention my suspicious nature wonders if they cut a deal with FB to get some revenue somehow from steering users to it?

The saddest part is that despite closing the forums Their Website is still extremely slow when ordering. It also appears that they give visitors looking at it with an eye to joining up a much speedier experience. It is really only slow once I go to log in and when logged in.

BTW, I heard that parts of Maryland had 5 inches of the white stuff, How did You make out finally?

Hi Roger, however we look at it, NS was probably scrimping on their website. It really wasn't that good.
We had less than an inch of snow here, just on the lawns, the roads and sidewalks stayed pretty clear. It's all melted away now. :)
Have a great weekend, everyone. :)

    Hi Vix
That sounds like You got what I had in my area for snow.

The Website was somewhat slow, However the users I interacted with were great, I miss many of them that are gone :( I got lots of helpful advice from them including Michelle (m2marsh)

Oh well, nothing stays the same. I predict that there will be changes in my life :)

    Hi Vix
I did not realize Michelle comes here. I thought she had said she wasn't moving to another website. I also saved a bunch of her helpful posts. What I did was save the webpages that had useful information in them. I also did that with the NS Recipe pages and user posted recipes.

    Hi Vix
I agree, What a day, I overdid it due to the nice weather, Normally I keep track better to know when I can head back and warm up.

I stopped at Dunking Donuts for Coffee this morning and the line was back to the point the door was just able to close behind me when I got in line. I'm thinking it was either due to my being there slightly earlier than usual or the nice weather bringing people out.

    Hi Vix
What a great day outside, if I had not already gotten my goal in steps in I would go back out. As it was when I left to go to the Acme Supermarket for Fruits plus some frozen I did not bother with a Sweatshirt, hoodie or jacket. I just went in my Pocket T-shirt :)

I am currently backing up some unedited video files that I captured from tapes for my sister to Blue Ray Data Disks, then I need to edit and convert them to DVD format for her and a video file for Apple Macs for for her kids. Busy, busy.

The Captures came out OK considering that the source is VHS tapes. Not the highest resolution media to start with. Now to Edit & Filter as part of the conversion to make them look better.

    Have a Great Day

    Hi Roger,
I'm going to get back outside too....much too nice to stay in today. :)
I'm reading a book you might like...it called "What if" by Randall Munroe...."serious scientific answers to absurd hypothetical questions". Some of it gets a little technical, but it's kind of funny.
Sounds like a lot of work, capturing and backing up all those files.
Hope you have a great day too. :)

    Hi Vix
It actually is not too much work, For example I ff & then rewind the tape to see how long it runs then set a capture duration in the capture program and at that point I can walk away for however long it will take. When I encode the Video I can set up a batch of encodes and then start that running while I walk away until I think it is done. Plus the computer is fast enough I can do other things at the same time if need be.

Did You ever wonder where all the rubber that wears off of car & truck tires goes?

Are You going out today too?

    Have a Nice Day

haha...I assumed it goes onto the roads in miniscule particles as it drives along....like if you fall on asphalt, it skins your knees.
Yes, I need to go out today too....much too beautiful to stay inside.
Girls' night was postponed to next week, so don't have to rush back if I go anywhere.

    Hi Vix
A happy Friday back at You :) I like the Cartoon.

That is the sort of thing that I start to wonder about when I am walking. OTOH I also wonder where they plug things in on streets when I walk by and see a sign that says "No Outlet" o:)

There was Blue Sky when I started walking then it clouded over and now we are back to Blue Sky showing.

    Have a Good Day
