Good morning.
Jo, have fun plant shopping! We have lots of perennials, it's great to see them come up every year. This year has been good for them. Right now our clematis vine looks like a big ball of flowers, and the irises are amazing...big, gorgeous, and some of them have a wonderful scent. We have all sorts of pink and purple blooms around our garden at the moment. It's beautiful.
Ed, rest up. So nice of you to help that young man. Your training in the health field is getting a work out. You are a very kind and giving person. Hugs.
My son and daughter-in-law stopped by yesterday. It was great to see them. We also stopped by to see my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson in the early evening. It was so nice to be around family.
Another Monday. I have some things to pick up and a few calls to make, some things to do around the house.
It's currently 49. Some sun this morning with increasing clouds this afternoon. High 72F. Winds light and variable.

It's 56 sunny degrees out there with an expected partly cloudy high of 81.
We had a good time at Medieval Times yesterday. A and I had the regular fare, while J had the vegetarian feast. We all had leftovers from the main course, so J will be having the bean stew for lunch. A and I have leftover chicken.
I can make some sides to go with our chicken, and J's stew has enough in it that no sides will be necessary. Yesterday we finished off the leftover Thai for lunch. I am trying to make sure that we eat all the leftovers the next day, as A has shown a tendency on prior visits to, on returning home, leave us with leftovers from several meals, having fresh meals rather than eating the leftovers in the refrigerator, and then adding more leftovers from the fresh meals.
I understand the desire to eat at as many favorite places as she can while here, but we really don't have to hit ALL of them, on every visit. LOL. So far she is doing well on this trip. And of course some restaurants aren't open for dine in right now so it's delivery or carryout on those.

Good morning.
Ed, wow that's a lot of restaurant meals! We have to be very careful about that due to my husband's celiac. Luckily a lot of restaurants now have gluten free options...but still have to be careful. We've had occasional mistakes, which is really awful.
It's currently 52 and sunny. High 78F. Winds light and variable. The heat begins.
I have no special plans for today...may go out to a store later...I'll be stuck at home for a couple of weeks.

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday!
It's 18 mostly sunny degrees out there with an expected overcast high of 26. Of course that is in Celsius degrees. That's the setting on this pad that I am using while hard drive replacement gets finished on my regular computer.
We went by one of our favorite Indian restaurants last night but they ended up being closed, so we ended up getting burgers, as that was what J and A decided they were in the mood for instead. I didn't care.
No big plans for today, at least on my part. I don't know about theirs.

good morning, well this week it is suppose to get in the 70s hopefully we will be getting the pool opened soon. Our shed is all done passed inspection yesterday it looks like a small house with the windows take care evwryone0

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! We have a sunny 65 degrees now, with an expected partly sunny high of 81.
J and A are probably going to Savannah today. A has never been there, and J has a plant to pick up that someone has been keeping for him since just before the pandemic began.
I could go, but they want to stay overnight and let A actually see a bit of Savannah. But if I go, then no one is here to bring the garbage and recycle bins up, and we'd have to leave the cats home with no humans for far longer than they have been up to now. The renaissance festival left them alone most of the day and they were a bit upset by that.
Another option, if I went, would be that we go down today, get the plant, and come back tonight, but that would not leave much time for A to see Savannah and I am sure she would rather actually get to spend a little time seeing what sites there are. So I told them to go without me. I am not sure I really want to spend most of the day in the car anyway, with that option.
I have been to Savannah so I doubt I would really be missing anything. If we left really early, there would be some time for sight seeing, but even as J offered that option, I knew that it wouldn't happen because it's almost impossible to get J to do anything terribly early, even when it's essential, much less when it's not. We would have to have already been well on the way, and it would be really late when we got home. I am not that great with really late myself, so it would have been stretching both our limits.
J has a tendency to suggest things, and then keep pointing out that I don't "have to" but then keep asking if I am sure when I say that no, I don't want to, while repeatedly reminding me that I don't have to. J will be indecisive for me, so I don't even have to be. LOL.

Ed, I can't get used to Celcius...we really should...I think that's what most of the world uses.
Irene...the shed sounds nice. Yay for getting the pool opened.
It's currently 60 and sunny with a high of 84 expected. Definitely short sleeve weather. Quickly so hot!
My housecleaner is coming this morning, and I will stop by the library this afternoon.

I have a few phone calls to make and some things to do around the house. I picked up 3 books at the library yesterday, so that should be good for a while. Will do the exercise and try to spend some time outside before it gets too hot.

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday!
58 sunny degrees out there now, with an expected mostly sunny high of 85. It should be a beautiful day. We have leftover Indian food for lunch. At least J and A do and there is likely enough for me as well, though I could just make a cheese sandwich or something.
The AC people will be out this afternoon to check on (and hopefully fix) the compressor that seems to have mysteriously died yesterday. It was just last Friday that they did our Spring/Summer maintenance and it has been working fine up until yesterday afternoon.
We may be opening some windows this morning to keep the house cool in the interval. Fortunately it got cool enough during the night that fans were all we needed.
J and A had a great visit to Savannah. They did the town, to the extent that one can, in one overnight stay. J picked up the plant he had gone for, and gave several others to the nice lady that had been holding it for him for over a year, since it had been stranded there over the lockdown.
Well my tea mug is nearly empty and my coffee mug is nearly brewed, so on with the day.

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!
It's a lovely, sunny 58 degrees out there now, with an expected partly sunny high of 87! Fortunately, they were able to replace something akin to a starter on the compressor. It wasn't called a starter, but is one of three things apparently needed to start the compressor running. I don't understand the details, but am just glad it's fixed. It only got up to 82 in the house yesterday while waiting so it wasn't too terrible. We have suffered much worse.
We have to get A to the MARTA train shortly, so she can fly back to Pittsburgh.

Good morning.
Glad your air conditioner is fixed, Ed. We took a nice vacation to Savannah once...stayed in a condo on Tybee Island.
No special plans for today. I am basically isolating, and will probably go outside on the deck or patio to enjoy the weather before it gets too hot.
It's currently 65 and sunny. A mix of clouds and sun during the morning will give way to cloudy skies this afternoon. Hot. High 91F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

Good morning.
Just some housekeeping, getting ready today...gotta get my medical equipment up from the basement so it's set for tomorrow, and put a little bag together to take to the hospital, and try to relax. My supplements must have been helping a lot because my hip is terrible without them. I should be home by tomorrow afternoon, but may be away from here for a couple of days depending on how I feel. I have a bag of pills and not sure how they will affect me.
It's currently 73F. Partly cloudy. Hot. High near 90F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph. So Ed, feels like summer here too.

The pollen has been awful here this year. I am continuously dusting around the house.
Not a lot on the agenda today. I may go to the nursery to pick up a few more plants. I want to put a few pot our in the front of the house to give some color, most of what I have out there is green.

good morning, our temps here have cooled of I believe the high is going to be around 68 yesterday it was like 95 we planned on opening the pool last week but we still have all the pollen in the air George doesn't want to open it until it gets better which is fine considering it is going to be cool for the next couple of days. Vix sending happy vibes. Jo how did the plant buying go.0

It has cooled down here today also but will go back into the 90's on wednesday.
I got my plants and now have some pots our front and on the deck.
Sophie just brought me a chipmunk. I made her drop it and it ran away. I'm glad she didn't kill it.
I don't blame George for not wanting to open the pool yet. I have been dusting the pollen in the house daily.

Good morning. I'm fine. Got home about 7:30 Monday evening. Had to stay a little longer due to anesthesia not wearing off as quickly and low blood pressure. I'm pretty tired, didn't get on the computer at all yesterday, but I'm able to get around the house with a walker. My leg is painful and I have big bruises, but all that will clear up. I've had visits from PT and a home health nurse. My blood pressure is still kind of low, so I'm drinking lots of water and getting in some salty food.

It was cooler and rainy on Monday, hot yesterday, and currently 66. Partial cloudiness early, with scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon. A few storms may be severe. High around 90F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. So glad we have air conditioning for later.
