Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! It's 64 sunny degrees right now, with an expected partly cloudy high of 86. Spring around here tends to give up to summer temperatures early in the year.
I did get out for some of the more critical grocery items yesterday, but am still building a list for the rest to be delivered this weekend or next week.
Not a lot on the critical agenda today.

Good morning.
Went to the podiatrist for my follow up today. All is well. He says I should come back a month or two after my surgery and have it fixed permanently. I'll ask my surgeon about when I should do that. I did a lot around the house yesterday so I am a little extra achy today. It's currently 79, mostly sunny with a high of 84 expected today....another summer day!
Happy Wednesday, everyone.0 -
Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! It's currently 61 degrees under clear skies, with a partly cloudy high of 83 expected.
Nothing critical on the agenda today, but some house cleaning could be accomplished.

Good morning.
Another hot one today. It's currently 69, cloudy with scattered rain and t-storms, and a high of 82 expected. We have a high wind watch...some wind today, but a lot expected for tomorrow.
No special plans. Will try to get to all the exercises today (I skipped the PT yesterday because my leg was bothering me too much). Will see what else I get around to.
Have a good Thursday, everyone.0 -
Good morning.
It's currently 57, partly cloudy and pretty windy, with a high of 66 expected. We have a high wind warning from noon until 2 a.m. Possible power outages.
Our grandson will be staying with us tonight. My son and daughter-in-law will probably come for a while too. That will be fun.
Will do some straightening up today, and the usual.
Happy Friday, everyone. Happy Weekend!0 -
Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday! It's 63 partly cloudy degrees now, with an expected high of 78, with the same partly cloudy sky. J is heading off to Kentucky this evening, for the weekend, to bring the last of our former roommate's stuff and to see family.
I did some housecleaning yesterday, and may do some more today. And I will keep working on the grocery order.

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday! 53 sunny degrees out there now, with an expected high of 79 under partly cloudy skies. J made it to Kentucky with the last of D's stuff. Fortunately, D had already taken nearly everything but a few pieces of furniture that would not have fit in his car. I am guessing that today will be delivery day for D on his furniture. I am sure D's cat will be excited to have more furniture to jump on and hide behind.
Maybe some housecleaning today and I might even get the grocery shopping done, now that it's a new month and I have been paid.

Good morning.
That's great, Irene....sounds like your knee is feeling better.
Ed, I'm sure your x-roomie will be glad to get his things back. That's nice of J to deliver them.
Had fun with our family last night. We went to the playground after breakfast and watching kiddie videos. He was very happy to see his parents this morning.
It's currently 54 and sunny with a high of 66 expected. It was crazy windy last night!
Going to relax today.
Happy Saturday, everyone.0 -
Ed, I'm sure your x-roomie will be glad to get his things back. That's nice of J to deliver them.
Well, J is visiting family too. It would have been easier to fit everything in my mini-van rather than J's mini-SUV, but we managed.
When D first moved in with us, he came from Arizona and didn't have much stuff, as he had been living with his mother and step-father in a small apartment that really wasn't big enough for them. After being here a few years, he accumulated furniture for his room, and of course other stuff, so when he moved back to Arizona when his mother was dying, he left most of it here.
Then he got an apartment there and got on his feet enough to decide where to go, and decided on central Kentucky, where my in-laws live, so we gave him what assistance we could in getting there and settled in, but still had most of his stuff here, as we had only sent some of it back to Arizona with him.
He come down a few weekends and gathered what stuff could fit in his car. We would have delivered the remaining furniture a lot sooner, but the pandemic got in the way.
Since J and I are both fully vaccinated now, and so is D, we felt comfortable with finally delivering it. J made the delivery instead of me, because I only have one family member in that area, most of them being in western Kentucky, and I am the caretaker for the cats, with Lilo still having some issues possibly related to a UTI. She is due back for a re-check on Tuesday I think. For an 18 year old cat, she is remarkably active but I fear things are just wearing out. But since we didn't really expect her to make it to 16, much less 18, because she had such trouble with arthritis at 15, we are thankful for the additional time.
That Adequan shot I give her once a week is just a miracle. A bit expensive, but a vial lasts a long time and it's worth it. Now if they could come up with a comparable shot for ME I would be really thankful. LOL.

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday!
It's 57 degrees out there now under partly cloudy skies, looking toward a high of 83 under overcast skies.
I should probably get out today for groceries, but I am still pondering the possibility of having most of them delivered.
I found Kiara's favorite toy waiting for me on the table this morning. Wasn't it sweet of her to share it with me?

Good morning.
Ed, nice that your friend moved back near to your or J's relatives so you can see him from time to time. My BFF is in California, so we don't get to see each other much. 18 is pretty old for a cat. It's good that you have things that can help her.
I put my medical equipment together yesterday. The walker folds up so I can keep that in my closet til I need it. The other pieces don't so I'm going to take them to the basement for now....don't want them cluttering up the place.
It's currently mostly sunny and 58 degrees, warming up to 84 later, with probably a few more clouds rolling in. T-storms expected tomorrow.
I'm tired and achy again today, so will probably just take it easy.
Happy Sunday, everyone.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday! It's currently cloudy and 68 degrees, with an expected high of 75 under overcast skies with a 93% chance of rain that may include thundershowers.
I got out yesterday and had a very few drops sprinkled on me, though the rain chance was supposed to have been minimal. I guess I was one of the 3% yesterday morning. I bought the needed groceries and then went back out to get cat food. I made a pot roast, which I had for supper, and then turned the rest into stew. Some of the stew made a nice breakfast.
J got the furniture delivered, and D set it up in his apartment. I think he and his cat will be very happy with the additional furniture, as his apartment was still rather sparsely furnished. He had not purchased too much, to save money and to leave room for the stuff left here.
I need to give Lilo her Monday morning fluid treatment.

Hello,
Looks like I forgot to save my post this a.m.
Totally cloudy/rainy 69 degrees, with a high of 72 expected, possible t-storms this afternoon and evening.
Went out to vote for mayor and city council this morning. And picked up some books at the library.
Another new week.
Happy May, everyone.0 -
Good morning;
I took my car for service and a recall yesterday. I also need a new inspection sticker.
They managed to lose my car registration. I had to apply for a duplicate. They said they would reimburse me for the cost. I was very calm about the whole episode. I guess I am mellowing with age.
It has been warm here for the past few days and now we are in for a rainy few days. We can always use the rain.
Have a great week!0 -
good morning, raining here but it seemed to stop today i am going in for mammogram and Dextabone scan wish me luck no problems just time to get it done0

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! It's 65 under cloudy skies now, with an expected high of 77 and more thunderstorms.
Lilo gets her follow up visit to the vet today.

Good morning.
Jo, good that you got your car fixed. I'm getting calmer about things too....easier to move ahead and take action with a calm mind.
Good luck with your mammo and dexascan, Irene.
Good luck with Lilo's follow up visit, Ed.
It's a beautiful sunny 71 degrees here at the moment with a high of 85 expected!!! Hot!
House cleaner is here this a.m., so the house will be nice.
Happy Tuesday, everyone.0 -
Good morning;
Irene-good luck with your tests.
Ed-I hope Lilo did well at her follow-up visit.
Vix-Wow 85 already. I am not ready for it to be that hot yet. My ideal weather temp is 72.
I had 2 deer run in front of my car on the way home from work last night around 8pm.
I almost didn't see them.
Have a great day!0 -
Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful wet Wednesday!
It's 62 cloudy degrees now, with an expected high of 77 under partly cloudy skies. Everything is soaked from two days worth of rain, but the lawn crew is here anyway. They will have to put of some of the items until next time though.
Lilo still has a UTI so they are sending the sample off for culture, to determine the best method of treatment. That was another thrilling $136.80 expense I was hoping to avoid, but there it is.
My back is not happy this morning, and I have an ice pack wedged between me and the chair right now, but it's about time to take it out.
Nothing critical remaining today except Lilo's Wednesday afternoon fluid treatment. And maybe a nap.

Good morning.
Another rainy day, currently 63 with a high of 71 expected. That's more like it.
I'm not ready for summer yet either, Jo! I like the 60s and 70s the best. Good that you saw those deer in time!
Aw, Ed, I hope Lilo gets better quickly. It's hard when they get that old.
The electric crew is out working on the lamp post next to our driveway...it has been on tilt for several years...they seemed to be digging around the bottom, maybe to straighten it out?
No special plans today...need to do the PT exercises I skipped yesterday. I was just too tired and achy. Kind of a gloomy looking day, anyway.
Have a good Wednesday, everyone.

Despite my back, I have managed to make breakfast and lunch. I did forego shopping today, at least in person. I placed an order for delivery from Kroger, via InstaCart, and it came very quickly.
I rescued my moving blankets from J's mini-SUV, folded them, and put them back in the storage bin in my minivan. It would have been nice if J and D had folded them after getting all the furniture out, but whatever.
I have also washed one load of clothes that is in the dryer now, and the other load is now in the washer. And I am icing my back for the third time today. I had a nice enough lunch, cube steak, mashed potatoes, and peas, and heated up a microwaveable Korean style veggie bowl for J, along with a tropical fruit cup on the side.
I will try to take a nap later, maybe about 2:30, along with some more pain killer. I haven't let this back keep me from doing anything today, but it has been trying its best!

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! 50 sunny degrees out there now with a sunny high of 71 expected.
My back is marginally better today. I do have some whites left to fold but there is no hurry on that.
Dinner last night was delivery. As I accidentally ordered two containers of curried tofu, we have loads of leftovers so I won't have to cook much today at all, which will be a nice break. I even have about half of my chicken skewers left, as that was a very generous serving. I did make some oatmeal, eggs, and sausage links for my breakfast.
Lunch, at least for J, will be fried rice and some of the curried tofu. Lunch for me will be the rest of the chicken, and perhaps a spoonful of the fried rice.

Good morning.
Back to chillier weather today. Currently 48 with a high of 64 expected. Sunny to partly cloudy. The sun did come out yesterday afternoon, so I spent some time outdoors. I got around to the PT exercises and picked up the knitting I had started.
No special plans for today.
Happy Thursday, everyone.

I did manage to get the rest of the laundry folded and put away. It wasn't too bad, despite my bad back. But then, I had help from Dinah.

Easy lunch.
Leftover Chinese food from yesterday's delivery.

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday! It's a sunny 51 out there now, and we are expecting a sunny high of only 67. Sounds like a perfect day to me!
Lilo had a really bad day yesterday. The night before, she was dashing around and jumping around, and we think she may have sprained something. At her age she shouldn't have been quite that active. So yesterday, she was very unsteady on her feet, and clearly in some pain. She got the princess treatment, being carried where she needed to go, breakfast in bed, the works. I had to change clothes twice because she couldn't hold it and both times the bulk of the liquid got on me. But we just dealt with it and moved on. I am better at dealing with cat messes than J, but that might come as no surprise to you.
Today Lilo seems to feel a little better. She came down the hall, and climbed the steps to the table next to my desk, where I keep a bowl of water for her. She ate her morning crunchy treats and had a good, long drink. But she didn't want any crumbs of cheese from my breakfast. I have some cooked chicken I can give her later if she doesn't want her regular canned cat food breakfast, but I have high hopes that she will want the canned food. Yesterday she got some of the chicken (yes, I DID cook a piece of chicken just for her) and some tuna, though in retrospect I wish I had been quicker getting the tuna water to her, as she fell in her hurry to get to it, even though it was on the way to her. She drank it all up, and then ate the few bites of tuna I gave her, and then I finished making my tuna salad.
And yes, I had planned to eat some of the leftover Chinese, but Lilo can't eat that, so I had tuna salad instead. When she is having a bad day, I want it to have SOME good to it.
Anyway, she seems more mobile, and less wobbly this morning, so we will keep an eye on that. Hopefully the culture results will come back soon and we can plan additional treatment to clear up her UTI once and for all. At least until the next one...

Good morning.
Aw, Ed, sorry Lilo is having such a hard time. I guess it's ok for her to eat protein? My cats both ended up with kidney issues, and had to stop eating protein or eating less of it. And they both became very fragile as they got that old. It's really heartbreaking to see them like that. I hope you can help her to feel better. Hugs.
It's a bit chillier here today. Just warmed up to 50 with a high of 62 expected. Cloudy with occasional rain in the afternoon. I will stop at the library to exchange some books, and I think I will go to TJ Maxx and get a Mother's day gift for my daughter.
Have a good Friday, everyone. Weekend is almost here.0
