Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday! Currently it's 19 (66.2 F) bright, sunny degrees out there with a toasty expected high of 32 (89.6 F), under mostly sunny skies. Very light wind, and minimal chance of rain.

Not a lot on the agenda today, and the afternoon sounds a bit warm for doing anything outdoors. But I may pick blueberries this morning. The cats were not happy last night, for the second night in a row, with all the fireworks going off in the neighborhood.

I may do a little mulching in the yard too, in the cooler morning hours.

Ed, I think I should get a blueberry bush, haha, but not much room left in our yard for it. I always keep a bag of frozen, I love them for breakfast, and lately have been adding them to my yogurt.

You would get much better production with two or more bushes. They needn't even be the same variety, but having two or more allows for cross pollination that has definitely been shown to increase the blueberry yield. You start getting a few berries after only a few years, but you do have to protect the plants from the deer for at least the first few years too.

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! It's currently 21 (69.8 F) partly cloudy degrees out there with an expected high of 31 (87.8 F) under skies that remain partly cloudy, with 19% chance of rain. The rain possibility starts out low, and gradually increases as the day progresses.

I do need to get out and pick blueberries this morning. Yesterday I did a little yard work and watered the outdoor plants that seemed to need it, but never did pick any blueberries. It seemed really hot and stifling to me yesterday, so I mostly took it easy. I finished off the holiday leftovers for lunch, and baked some chicken for supper.

My tea mug is empty and Orion is hacking up a hairball so I'm done here.

    Good morning.
It's currently 73F, sunny to partly cloudy. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. High 96F. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph. No special plans for today. Will probably sit outside for a little while before it gets too hot.
    Stay cool, everyone. :)

    Good morning.
It's currently 73, a mix of clouds and sun. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. High 94F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. We have an air quality alert until midnight. Not a good day to be outdoors.
I have an early PT session this morning, and will probably putter around the house today. I am trying to get moving on that baby blanket I'm knitting.
    Happy Wednesday, everyone. :)

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday!

It's currently 22 cloudy degrees with a 34% chance of rain for the morning. We are expecting rain probabilities to decrease, with a high this afternoon of 30 under partly cloudy skies.

I have blueberries to pick, weather permitting, and laundry to fold and put away. Some of that may even get done.

Wishing you a great day and a wonderful year!

Not much going on for me today. I have to stretch! Maybe make some coleslaw, do some laundry, whatever.
We had some t-storms last night, power flickered just enough so my laptop shut down and some clocks had to be reset.
It's currently 73F, cloudy this morning with thunderstorms developing this afternoon. High 83F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph. I guess that's what we're getting from Elsa. I hope you all down south didn't get hit too hard by the storm.
    Have a good day.

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! It's 21 (69.8 F) mostly cloudy degrees out there now with an expected high of 30 (86 F) and a 43% chance of rain, which could include thunderstorms, if it happens at all. I may pick some blueberries this morning. I got all the laundry folded and put away yesterday, and froze another quart of blueberries.

Nothing critical on the agenda, so may just take it easy.

    Good morning.
Sun is shining for now, 68F. We had some t-storms yesterday. Partly cloudy skies this morning. Thunderstorms likely during the afternoon. High around 85F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.
I have PT this morning and a follow up with the ortho in the afternoon. That'll pretty much take up most of my day. Also need to stop at the library to pick up some books.
    Happy Friday, everyone.

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday!

It's currently 22 (71.6 F) cloudy degrees out there, with an expected high of 30 (86 F) and a 62% chance of rain, which could include thundershowers.

Sounds like a good day to stay in. I did step out for a minute to check on the tomatoes, as a couple are nearly ready to pick. I COULD pick them now, but prefer to let them get as red as they can before I do, unless they are in need of early harvesting for some reason.

I have not plucked any green ones for frying, but then we don't have all that many tomatoes anyway and I love them red, just sliced, with a little salt, or as a tomato sandwich.

Nothing critical on the agenda today. I may do a small load of laundry.

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday. Good to see you pop in, Irene.

It's currently 22 (71.6 F) cloudy degrees out there with some chance of rain. We are expecting a high of 29 (84.2 F) under mostly cloudy skies with an overall 46% chance of rain. So I might get wet at the pool party. My beans are baking in the oven now, to get that long, slow, baked in flavor that makes them so good.

Since there is a good chance of rain, I am sure some people will decide to opt out of this party, as they did with the last one but that is fine. This one is at the alternate, smaller property anyway, and we appreciate the gentleman who lives there having a party or two in the summer very much. It's a slightly smaller pool too, but a lot of people just like to bake in the sun anyway, if they can. I prefer to lurk in the shadows...er I mean stay in the shady areas as I burn very easily. And this house, in town, up on a hill, has some nicely shaded areas near the pool so I can set my camp chair up there if we get there early enough to claim a shady spot. I am not the only one who lurks in the shadows.

Nothing else critical on the agenda today.

    Good morning.
Hi Irene, hope all is well.
Ed, nice that you have several pool parties to go to. I guess you didn't get hit too hard by the storm where you are.
It's currently a lovely 66F, mostly sunny. Partly cloudy expected for today. High 84F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.
It'll probably be a quiet weekend here. Both of our kids are away at the beach. Will see what the day brings.
    Happy Saturday, everyone.

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday! We're off to Lumpkin to see Georgia's little grand canyon.

    Good morning.
Ed, hope you had a fun trip to Providence Canyon. I'd never heard of Lumpkin before. Do you walk trails or drive through? Looks pretty.
Our big outing was going to TJMaxx last night. Hubby needed some shorts for the hot weather.
No special plans for today, catch up on housework, exercise, whatever.
It's currently 75F and cloudy, chance of a shower or two during the morning, followed by partly cloudy skies this afternoon. High 89F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.
    Happy Sunday, everyone.

    Good morning;
    Happy birthday, Jan!
Not a lot going on last week, just a lot of rain, and more of the same for this week.
I had Saturday off, so my daughter and I went to Boston and roamed around. We walked about 10 miles according to our fitness trackers. I was a little stiff yesterday.
Today I am making cookies and painting the lower walls in the kitchen. We have wallpaper on the top half.
It is currently raining, so a good day to do indoor chores.
    Enjoy your day! :)

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday! We only walked 3 of the 5 sub-canyons, so we have two left for another trip to the canyon. After Providence Canyon, we drove to see a covered bridge that wasn't terribly far away.

Today I have some laundry to do and I need to get out to the store for a few things this morning, hopefully beating any afternoon thundershowers, that look pretty likely.

    Good morning.
Jo, you're always doing something! That's a lot of walking! I hope you enjoy the painting.
Ed, that sounds like a lot of walking too! The pictures of the canyon online looked very pretty. Are the trails long/short, hard/easy? I miss walking trails, but hopefully soon will be able to again.
It's currently 75 F and sunny. Mixed clouds and sun this morning. Scattered thunderstorms developing this afternoon. Storms may contain strong gusty winds. High 92F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.
I have a PT appt at noon, nothing else on the agenda, so whatever comes along.
Another new week, wishing you a good one.

The trails could be difficult for someone with limited mobility, and in the summer heat one definitely does need to bring some sort of rehydration liquid along that contains all the electrolytes you lose by sweating.

Needless to say, it's a bit easier getting down to the bottom than it is climbing back up. We saw one woman with a small dog that was in a stroller and wondered how well she would do getting that back up, but we didn't see her later, when we climbed back up so I guess she managed.

    Good morning.
Ed, I really miss walking on trails. I did start going for walks again this morning, just a short walk in the neighborhood, need to build my muscles back up. I'll add more time gradually. No special plans for today.
It's currently 72F (nice for a walk!). Partly cloudy. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. High 94F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! 21 (69.8 F) out there now under cloudy skies. We are expecting a high of 28 (82.4 F) under mostly cloudy skies with 36% chance of rain that could include thundershowers, as yesterday's rain did. Maybe yesterday is on repeat. I have laundry to fold, but nothing else critical. I may pop over to Lidl for some shredded lettuce, especially if I want to make taco salad tonight.

I have nothing critical on the agenda, but may pick some blueberries and may do a little house cleaning.

Irene, good that you're still walking. Great pool weather.
    Nothing critical here either, Ed.
The housecleaner is coming today, and we getting our driveway coated later.
I went for another short walk. It's already too hot, currently 78F. Sunshine this morning. Scattered thunderstorms developing this afternoon. Storms may contain strong gusty winds. High 89F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! It's currently 20 (68 F) degrees out there under clear skies, with an expected high of 31 (87.8 F) under mostly sunny skies. There is an overall 15% chance of rain, but it sure doesn't look like any right now, and the radar agrees.

I woke around 5:30 and realized that getting back to sleep didn't seem likely, so I got up and made my tea. I need to get some laundry done today.

I was up early today too, Ed. Went for my little walk before it gets too hot, and had some coffee on the patio.
It's currently 68F, and pretty sunny. Partly cloudy expected today, high 92F. Winds light and variable. Air quality alert through midnight.
No special plans for today. I should probably start going through my clothes to see if there's things I should get rid of, maybe I'll do that. Not really feeling motivated to do anything!
Anyway, have a good Thursday, everyone. :)

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday! It's 21 sunny degrees out there now with an expected high of 31 under partly sunny skies, with a 41% chance of rain that could include thunder and lightning. We had a rather loud thunderstorm in the evening last night, and I need to walk the yard and check to make sure everything is OK outside. No power loss during the storm, but a slight flicker just about 10:30 as I was preparing for bed.

Nothing else critical on today's agenda.
