Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday!

We have 4 (C) mostly sunny degrees (feels like 1) with an expected sunny high of 9 and 2% chance of precipitation. Sounds like a lovely, if a bit chilly, day for all the Black Friday shoppers. I will not be joining that crowd. I haven't in years, just enjoying a quiet day at home instead, eating leftovers and eyeing the bathroom scale warily.

I do have some laundry to fold.

    good morning all
Sounds like you all had a nice Thanksgiving with yummy food all around!
Thanksgiving was great, did not go as planned, but still wonderful to get together. Pete was not feeling well, went to the walk-in clinic in the a.m. to find out he has bronchitis. Maddie also wasn't feeling well so she and her Mom stayed home. The dishes were all delicious with lots of leftovers, even after packing some up to go. I put the turkey bones in a pot and made some soup after everyone left. Also poured myself some wine.
It's currently 38F,3C. Cloudy skies early, followed by partial clearing. High 43F, 6C. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. Looks gray and cold outside. Mostly highs in the 30s the next 10 days.
No special plans for today. I am not a black Friday shopper. Good luck to those of you who are!
Wishing all a nice relaxing Friday! ☁️🌥️🍂🕊️🍷

    Good morning;
Ed-sounds like your food was a hit all around.
Vix-Sorry Pete and Maddie were not feeling well. I hope they feel better soon.
We had a nice relaxing day. It rained all day, so we were not able to get in our walk.
I am not a Black Friday shopper anymore. I was when my kids were little.
It is currently 29F with a high of 39F and sunny.
Today I plan to put up a few decorations. Since we will not be home for the holidays, I plan
    to keep it simple.
    Have a great weekend. :)

    good morning all.
Thanks, Jo. They gave Pete a Z-Pack, so he's starting to feel better. Glad you had a relaxing day. I switched out my wreath and put out a few decorations too.
    Hi Ed and Irene.
My daughter and I took the 2 little ones out to a Christmas light festival on a farm last night. It was fun. They had a beautifully lit up path to follow with blow up characters and kids holiday scenes all along the way with music from the various movies etc. There was a little house with someone dressed as the Grinch inside, he pretended to be sleeping on a couch and when we walked in he stood up and looked mean, as the Grinch does. Lilly got scared, and ran out. It was a really good Grinch! We had to coax her in to Santa's house, but she finally went in.
It's currently 26F, -3C. Partly cloudy. High near 35F, -2C. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph. BRRRRRRRRR!

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!

We have 3 (C) sunny degrees with an expected sunny high of 10 and 0% chance of precipitation. So far it's been a lovely, albeit chilly, Thanksgiving weekend.

I still have some turkey, ham, and cornbread dressing left, and some of the frozen rolls, but I may save some of those rolls for Christmas. I ate all the gravy I prepared, but may make another cup to have with the rest of the dressing.

We took a break from Thanksgiving food last night and ordered pizza. So that was my breakfast too.

To be fair, Jason had eaten the last of his Indian food for Friday lunch so there wasn't any of his Thanksgiving food left anyway, but we could have made him some Asian noodle dish rather than order pizza, but I usually take a break from my leftovers either Friday night or Saturday.

Still staying at home, so no shopping madness for me. At least not until tomorrow, for regular grocery shopping. It should surprise no one that I still have that laundry to fold. LOL.

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday!

We have 0 (C) mostly sunny degrees with an expected mostly sunny high of 12 and 1% chance of precipitation.

It continues to be a lovely Thanksgiving weekend. Breakfast this morning was the last of the ham, with some mashed potatoes (I made a single serve cup) and a couple of scrambled eggs.

There is still some turkey left, along with cornbread dressing and the rest of the turkey gravy. I will probably eat about half the remaining food for lunch, and the rest can be another meal, maybe supper tonight.

Still haven't folded that laundry yet.

Thanks, Irene, Pete is starting to feel a little better. Cool that you were able to maintain your weight.
Ed, I did some cleaning this morning, and put in a load of laundry. We still have turkey, cranberry sauce, some rolls, and a tiny bit of salad left. Pete made a roast last night, guess he needed a break from the turkey too!
Hi Jo, hope you're getting some relaxation time, and planning for your vacation.
It's currently 32F, 0C. Mostly cloudy with snow showers around this morning. High 39F, 4C. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 40%. No snow so far.
Went outside with the 2 little ones and my daughter this a.m., kicking a ball around. They think they're playing soccer. 😂
    Wishing all a fun/relaxing Sunday. 🌥️☕❄️🍷🕊️

It is currently 22F with a high of37F.
All our leftovers are gone. Charlie took the last of them for his lunch today.
Irene-We are leaving on the 17th. I have to start thinking about what to pack.
    Hi Vix and Ed.
I have already washed the kitchen floor and did some filing. I have to stop at the post office
to see about having our mail stopped for the time we are away. I may do a little yard work,
cut back a few clematis vines.
    Have a great week. :)

Irene, we still have some turkey and cranberry sauce left, and a roll or 2. I do have fun with our grandchildren.
Jo, is the weather similar to ours? I know they just had some snow over there. You get to your housework early! Cold for yardwork!
Ed, guess it's back to work today. Hope you have an easy day.
It's currently 23F -5C. Sunshine and a few afternoon clouds. High 38F, 3C. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.
I think we're going out to dinner with our daughter this evening. That'll be nice.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday!

We have -1 (C) (feels like -4) sunny degrees with an expected sunny high of 9 and 2% chance of precipitation.

I really enjoyed my Thanksgiving food, and it lasted me through the weekend, as planned, with the pizza break Friday night/Saturday morning. My Sunday breakfast, ham and eggs, did use the leftover ham, finishing that off, but wasn't otherwise really a Thanksgiving-ish meal.

Supper last night finished off the turkey and dressing.

    Still laundry to fold.

Well, we made it through Thanksgiving (and my birthday) , though I gained a couple of pounds, need to lose that ASAP! Still have our anniversary and Christmas/Chanukah yet to come. It would all be more enjoyable if I didn't worry about my weight.
Pete and Jennie took me out for dinner last night (The Food Market in Columbia, Md, very modern, a bit pricey, food was delicious). We got a bunch of small and veggie plates and shared. It was really nice.
    It's 24F, -4C. Mainly sunny. High 39F, 4C. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph.
    Craft day for me.
Wishing all a fine Tuesday. ☕👩🏻‍🎨🌞❄️🍷🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday!

We have -1 (C) (feels like -6) sunny degrees with an expected sunny high of only 6 degrees. Definitely a bit chilly, even at the warmest point.

I may have to get around to clearing the area around the fireplace and see about getting that going soonish. But probably not today.

It feels weird having to cook again after the long weekend of mostly not cooking. For yesterday's lunch we had salad, with chopped boiled eggs as the main protein, though there was also some shredded cheese I sprinkled in. By the time I had cut up some tomatoes, chopped the eggs, made some salad dressing, crushed a few potato crisps to sprinkle in for extra crunch, divided up the salad mix into two large bowls, I had used up half an hour of my scheduled one-hour lunch. But the salad was very nice.

For supper last night I made an egg and roasted potato quiche casserole, with bell peppers, onion, and a bit of jalapeno along with sea salt and black pepper. I saved half of my portion to be part of my breakfast this morning.

    Still laundry to fold. LOL.

Ed, I enjoy making frittatas , sort of a crustless quiche with a little less cheese, and having the leftovers for breakfast. Easy and delicious.
    Hi Jo and Irene.
Both things I made in clay last week cracked while drying, so I put the clay in the recycle bucket. Glazed a few little bowls. I started my new project in stained glass. There are 50 pieces, so lots of cutting and grinding to do. I picked out most of the glass I want to use for it.
It's currently 29F, -2C. Mostly sunny this morning then becoming cloudy during the afternoon. High 39F, 4C. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph.
I have an acupuncture appt at 10, and a few errands to run today,
    Wishing all a happy 🐪 day. ☕🌞🌥️❄️🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday!

We have 9 (C) (feels like 6) cloudy degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 11 and 2% chance of precipitation.

They're making more big changes. Some of them broke part of a process yesterday but I should be able to download a fix for that today. We'll see momentarily!

I should start some laundry. Feels like I just finished some, but that would be because yesterday I did finally fold what was in the dryer from Thanksgiving.

Hope you had a great birthday Vix!

Jo, not fun having to clean slush off the driveway. We're a little warmer here so it melted when it hit the ground. Thanks for the anniversary wishes! I hope the weather is nice for you in England. It's so exciting that you are going! Yay!
    Hi Irene.
We went out to dinner last night, I had a salad, honey glazed blackened salmon, a sweet potato, and a split of Prosecco. Pete had shrimp, a baked potato, and Caesar salad, and a glass of Makers Mark. It was all delicious. Relaxing today.
We're going to see a play our friend is in tomorrow. Looking forward to that.

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!

We have 1 (feels like -2) degree Celsius, sunny, with an expected sunny high of 12 and 0% chance of precipitation.

My desktop computer is installing updates so I'm typing tihs on my android pad.

I need to water my plants today, and really should start that laundry.

Last night we went to see Wicked, and ate at the theater. I had a Nathan's hot dog, one of Jason's cheese sticks, and a few Cajun seasoned fries, while Jason had Italian cheese sticks with marinara sauce, and most of my fries. The food was decent, but ridiculously expensive, of course. At least the portions on the cheese sticks and fries were generous. At the price, they needed to be!

The only reason we ate theater food was that there didn't seem to be time to eat first and it would be nearly 10:00 by the time the movie was finished. I did have a small snack at home with a glass of white wine before we left for the movie but it was unlikely that would have lasted me until the movie was done.

When we got home, a little after 10:00 we had hot chocolate and some pecan meltaway cookies for a late dessert. It was nice.

Dinah is reminding me I should have started preparing their food 4 minutes ago, and she might just wither away if I don't get it together and feed the cats!

    It's currently 38F, 3C. Mostly sunny. High 57F, 14C. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. Warmer today!
We'll be going to a play today, "Indecent", at the New Spire Arts Theater in Frederick. Then out after with our friends. Fun day.
