Sunny and cold here. I don't want to walk in the cold either!
I found some nice teas....I'm enjoying the vanilla-coconut tea with some non-dairy creamer. I also have some hazelnut chai tea that also tastes like a treat with a little non-dairy creamer in it. :) I've been feeling hungry the last couple of days....maybe with the change in the weather.
Have a great day, everyone. :)

    Hi all,
I went for my 6mo. ultrasound for my kidney stones. I will find out the results when I visit my dr. next Tuesday.
It was sunny but very cold today.
Vix-Your tea sounds nice. I drink my tea without any milk or sugar, just plain.
Roger-I can always tell when I need a new pair of shoes, my feet ache and my back usually starts to act up.
Irene-I hope you had a pleasant day at work.
I don't know if your state has powerball, but it is over 1 billion dollars. I bought 2 quick picks. I can't imagine what I would do with all that money, but it is fun to dream. :)
    Have a great evening. :)

Ha-ha....I keep thinking about buying a powerball ticket, but I haven't bothered. Probably should toss a couple of $ at it, although chances of winning are probably less than 1 in a billion!
Some teas I like without anything in them, some just beg to be fancied up. :)
Good luck with the Doc next week, Jo, hope the ultrasound shows good results.
Have a good night, everyone. :)

Good morning....cold here too, supposed to be some snow showers this afternoon. I'm definitely not up for walking in the cold! I was pretty stiff yesterday, and I was only out in between my car and places I was going.
Clay co-op for me today. My neck is really sore, so I think I'll take some Alleve after breakfast. Didn't really sleep last night. Will watch how I feel today, so I can take another one if I need it.
It's still really dark out, so I guess it's overcast.
Stay warm, and have a great day!

    Hi
Monday I pulled out one of the new spare pairs of shoes and changed out the ones I had been wearing that had wear on the soles. Much more comfortable after the walk. What I did when i used the last pair was check on Amazon and Voila, The same model and size was still available so I ordered two more pairs and put them in the closet.

Cold and sunny out currently. I was out walking and with no breeze it was more comfortable than Yesterday even though the real temperature was where Yesterdays Wind chill reading was.

Time to revisit my upcoming order and finalize what I want and use another gift card to finish paying for it. That should leave enough for one more order, Hopefully they go on sale again before the order after that.

    Have a Good Tuesday
    Roger

    Hi Vix
Interesting You should mention the hunger, I have been feeling that way too.
I have to wonder if it is a instinct that we get to store up food for the lean winter months from the past.

    Cheers

    Hi Joanne
Where I feel it is in the knees when I sit and relax after the walk and then get up. I suspect it is due to the way I wear the soles putting stress on my knees.

I drink my Coffee or tea plain and always have.

I hear they are now saying 1.4 billion, wow!

Good Luck with the Ultrasound results

    Hi Again
I am of two minds regarding the lotteries and Casinos too. They appear to be another tax on the public. having said that I have a Powerball QP ticket sitting here waiting for drawing to make me rich :)

    Cheers

    Hi Irene
I do not usually play the lotteries with any regularity, OTOH some extra money would be nice.

I found 1 cent yesterday myself, chilly but it does help with the weight loss for more than one reason. Burning extra calories and then I believe that the cold weather also burns more calories keeping the body warm :)

Regarding Your knees, I feel it in my knees when the shoes get older and worn. Have You checked Your shoes? Another suggestion, Check with a Foot doctor and see if Inserts or custom shoes would help. I knew someone who had a marked improvement from custom shoes.

    Good Luck and stay warm

    Good afternoon;
I don't usually play the lottery either, but I figured what the heck.
Our weather report is calling for an inch of the white stuff.
The other grocery chain near where I work is closing at the end of the week. We have been seeing a lot more business and I suspect that it will get even busier after this week. I sure hope they hire some more help.
    Enjoy the day. :)

Jo, I hope they hire more help for you too....if they're closing down some of the competition, you will definitely get busier! We had some snow showers, but thankfully no accumulation, I'm not ready for that yet....not that the weather cares what I think!
Roger, I pretty much feel that lotteries are a tax too, but understand why people are buying tickets now...haha....I will probably forget to buy some/throw away a couple of bucks.
Irene, you are better than me, walking out there in the cold! Hope the shots for your knees get you back to feeling good.
Have a good night, everyone. :)

hi I will ask about the shoe insert but my knee hurts due to bone rubbing on bone and the gel softens it you would not believe the difference.

    Good morning.
Irene, that's cool that they can put the gel in your knees....that's the problem with my spine...they don't do that there. Trying to build muscle around the bones to support it better. :)
Cold again today 21 going up to 32, but warmer tomorrow.
Stay warm and have a nice day, everyone. :)

    Hi
It is cold and windy today out there and I can handle either however I did decide o take a down day from walking as it has been a while since I did that :) Currently I hear the coffee maker brewing my morning coffee.

There was a trace of snow on the ground last night, This morning not a trace of it despite the low temperatures. I suspect that the winds have dried it all away. Good for commuters and walkers. It was gusting pretty hard last night when I went off for a decent nights sleep.

    Have a Good Wednesday

    Hi Joanne
We had a dusting of snow, and it has disappeared around here.

I hope You get more help too, sadly my suspicion is that they may take a wait and see attitude to see if the bump in business is temporary or if the current staff levels can handle it.

FWIW You could also keep an eye on the other store to see if they run clearance sales to take advantage of. When the Pathmark grocery store closed the newspaper ran a report that they had cleared what was left out at super fire sale prices. I saw that after the fact and missed the sale :(

    Good Luck

    Hi Vix
I am not ready for snow either. Luckily I am not up where they had 2 foot of lake effect snow off of the great lakes.

    Have a Good Day

    Hi Irene
It was just a thought that maybe a little difference of the knee geometry might help. Mom had shots that helped, Lucky she had a prescription plan that any scrips cost her $5 co-pay. I understand that the shots that helped were super expensive. In the end She had both knees replaced and was much happier with that once the Physical Therapy was finished and she could walk easily again.

    Good Luck

    Hi Vix
Even if they could I do not know if I would want them messing around in my spine. Is the PT helping with that? Cold today, wind chill in the low teens and the forecast last night was lowering wind chill through the day. If that changes I may end up walking some anyway after bundling up and possibly wearing my FroggToggs as a windbreaker since I do not have one otherwise.

    Stay Warm

The Pt is definitely helping, my lower back is doing better....I just tend to put a lot of tension into my neck, and I need to figure out how to stop that. They have given me some ways to improve my posture, be careful to keep my neck relaxed when reading on on the computer.
It's just hard changing a lot of bad habits. And I'm pretty sure some of it is just stress, not that I have anything particularly stressful in my life. I just tend to stress about things in general....duh.
It's a good day for hibernating....although it's sunny, it is quite nippy out there. :)

    Good Evening;
There was enough snow that we had to shovel the driveway. :(
Irene-good luck with the gel shot. Will you need to have knee replacements in the future?
Roger-Did you get your walk in? I would have stayed in today, it was bitter cold with the wind chill.
Vix-I am glad the PT is helping.
Yesterday I finally called NS and switched my plan to uniquely yours.I can now order shelf stable and frozen. My next order doesn't ship until Feb 1.
    Have a good night. :)

Winter is here. We haven't had any snow stick yet....I'm not looking forward to it. I'm fine with sunshine and no snow. :)
Have a good night, everyone. :)

Vix-I would be very happy if we had no snow. It was bitter cold again today.
