Good morning, ladies
We are off to the city this morning for most of the day. Myron needs to have a follow up with the pacemaker clinic to ensure that his dizziness isn't being caused by something awry there.
Sunny and warm, so we will put the top down on the car and enjoy the journey. Stay well all!
Hugs,
MaryLynn0 -
Myra, so sorry about Hope. There are no words when you have to say goodbye to the unconditional love of a pet. Hugs.
MaryLynn, hope Myron's pacemaker check went fine. They can tinker with settings so easily now. Hope you enjoyed a taste of the city too.
Cindy, wear the black pants knowing you look good in them, because you do! Back-to-back meetings are just horridly draining.
Karla, bet you're beat after your wondereful but very busy trip.
Patti, your friend sounds like such a gem. She will triumph.
Bert, praying your brother can get his strength up soon -- sounds like the chemo is surpassing expectations but there is a cost too.
Not much new here. Got a LOT done yesterday but much more to do and will be away Friday-Sunday. Had blood draw for next week's primary-care visit and house got cleaned today, then we had torrential rain and heavy thunder & lightning for an hour & a half. Bed repair guy comes tomorrow for third time, hope this will be IT. And mani tomorrow afternoon, plus packing for my trip. Have a couple of options for the Friday evening party.
Going to go out and bring back a salad or chicken sandwich or something because I am tired and don't feel like cooking, even salad-making. Have strawberries ready for later though.
Sorry this is disjointed -- just a LOT to do between now and next Thursday afternoon!0 -
Hi Ladies-
It is Thursday am and I had to check the calendar to see what day of the week it is. Sad.
Mom told me last night that they'll be out visiting with friends from Friday- Friday so the house will be empty again. Then they come back for Saturday but are going to my nephews rehearsal dinner the wedding Sunday and they leave Monday. So tonight is our last dinner together. Meg has only seen her twice as she is so caught up with drama at her house and her step son and husband. Em has been around but has been working two jobs, her regular and with her boyfriend since he almost cut off his thumb. Hard to be a chef when one hand is encased in plastic bags to stay dry and certainly can't use if for anything. So she hasn't been around as much as she planned either.
Things have settled into a nice routine but I have noticed how tired Mom is all the time- and forgetful. Aging sucks.
*** Good note- the proof copy of Ready to Soar has shipped and I'll have it Monday for the FINAL review. Hopefully I've caught all the errors in both print and e-versions. It is hard to keep proofing something when you know the story so well.
Janet- you've got some busy days ahead- don't over do anything.
Bert- prayers from your brother..... and you
MaryLynn- how did Myron make out at the doctor?
Patti- are you back in the swing of Zumba?
Karla- what's new dear?
Suzi- missing your Hey Ya'll-
For all I've missed by name thinking of you and hoping you find your way back to a post or two.
BTW- Had another good food day- didn't eat any snacks. Back to 3 meals per day and one serving of all. Lots for fruits and veggies, lean protein. Yeah me!

Good morning ladies - Yes, yes, back to reality now. Lol. My reality is pretty good though. A loving husband, two sweet pups and a lovely pool to look out over from my bay window. Not quite that awesome ocean view, but nice. Lol. I was glad to share it with you all. I will be going back to that resort for two nights in Thanksgiving.
Patti - I enjoyed that movie too. I'm sure your friends adore you just as much.
Cindy - Good for you for stringing together some good eating days. They all count. I have got to reduce the carbs again. That helps the weight loss so much.
Janet- I know you will enjoy this weekend so much and look fabulous doing it. I cannot wait to get my little Izzy tomorrow.
Myra - I am close like that with my 37 year old son and he wows me with TMI info also. Sometimes I like to be kept in the dark. Lol. Back to school already?
Mary Lynn - I hope all goes well with Myron's visit. How does the garden grow? Are you finish with your landscape?
I had such a ball at my reunion. I had time to visit and dance this time around. I even got hit on by a couple single classmates. It was a real boost. Of course I was 40 pounds lighter than I was 5 years ago, so I looked much better too. One guy told me how smooth my skin looked. Lol. I felt 18 again. Especially when the son Brick House came on. We all got up and danced. FUN.
I better get going. Meeting at 8!!!!
But I b had to check in!!

Good morning, and welcome to the rain we are supposed to get today. Things are pretty dry around here.
Cindy, I know what you mean about watching our parents become older and less themselves. Sounds like you are making yourself a priority. Every day is a victory when you do something for yourself. I am still going to the gym but have not been doing the Zumba classes on Monday and Wednesday evening, just got burned out but am thinking it is time to restart them.
Janet, I apologize that I must have missed a post, what are you doing this weekend? Sounds like a party?
Karla, I know Glenn is glad to have you home again. So good for the ego to be flirted with.
Gotta cut this short. Running behind this morning. Have to tell you, though, about my Mom, she amazes me. The place where she gets her hair cut doesn't have a ramp to get up on the sidewalk and this makes it nearly impossible for her to get in and out. It is a Great Clips that is right in front of her apartment. She found a stylist there that cuts her naturally curly hair perfectly. So yesterday she struck a deal with her to come to the apartment and cut her hair and my sisters hair too. My sister and was there when the deal was made and feels comfortable with this woman coming to the apartment. My Mom is a force. She is getting slower but has a mind likel a steel trap!
Oops, times up
Patti0 -
Patti, what a sweet hair solution for your mom and sis!
MaryLynn, what did Myron's doc say?
Cindy, glad you are taking care of you. I know the last dinner for awhile with your mom will be special. Hope the girls are both coping with the extra stress in their lives. Keep taking care of CINDY! We all love you lots and are ready to soar with the new book.
Karla, enjoy Izzy (duh). And try to get some downtime too. (Maybe it's because I'm an introvert, but I can get peopled-out sometimes and just NEED quiet time to recharge. Maybe that's why I love driving so much too -- I'm a classic Sensitive Person!)
I am going to Toledo for the weekend. My best friend's son got married last month in Cancun to his longtime love, whom we've all adored for years. (They had a civil ceremony at the courthouse in Toledo first, to ensure it was legal). I could've gone but it would've been very expensive. They're having a big party Friday night -- at a nice, big park function room, with BBQ, DJ, cake for family and friends because only a few were able to go to Mexico. It'll be a great time. I have a hotel room for Friday but best friend's brother and family leave Saturday and I'll stay with her and head home ASAP Sunday so I can keep prepping for my houseguests.0 -
Back from a brutal session at the gym. The trainer was on vacation last week and has come back with a vengeance, lol. I had a river of sweat running all over my body. So now I need to really start pouring down the water. Now getting laundry done all the towels and bedding from the cabin plus my regular loads. Thinking chicken enchiladas for dinner. TRX tonight, hope I have the energy.
Janet, your weekend sounds great. Nothing better than celebrating with those you truly care about. Drive safely and enjoy your music selection.

Hi ladies!
Thanks for the concern about Myron's appointment yesterday. His pacemaker is performing well, although it records several instances of really high heart rate, perhaps during exercise? He is to follow up and track any dizzy spells and the GP will refer to his regular heart specialist who will likely see him. Maybe they will adjust a medication he is on, or just keep track, the pacemaker keeps the heart above a certain rate and the meds are supposed to keep it below a certain rate. They can make adjustments, but he has no deep concern about the future as he has likely had irregularities for all his life. Now that the pacemaker tracks it all in a detailed fashion, everyone can react accordingly if necessary. We may need to keep an eye on how hard we exercise, although his recovery rate is excellent and we tend to be together when active. So, long story short, he's in good hands and very active & healthy for a 72 year old man! I'm so proud of him!
Take care all,
MaryLynn0 -
great news about Myron
thanks for the kind words about losing Hope.
yes, school already our little ones attend a charter school, so they can set their own schedule. we have 6-7 weeks off during the summer, and i find that is PLENTY!
this year, they are both in the same school, whew. 5th grade and 7th grade. so far, the 5th grader really likes her "new" school, so that's a relief.
among other things, I learned that my adult daughter's car is on it's last legs (with 227K miles on the engine) between myself, my mother and my husband, we are trying to get her into a better used car. i seem to be doing most of the searching.... so i'm in used car lot...um.... "purgatory".
but I shall rise, like a phoenix, from the ashes!
ok, i'm getting punchy, so i must be tired. off to clean the kitchen and then hit the hay.
I took a walk with my walking buddy for the first time in two months. 6.2 miles. more than i intended to walk, but we had so much to catch up on!!!! my feet are blistered, but it was SO worth it!
goodnight ladies,
Myra0 -
Good Morning, Ladies. Lots on my mind today, so I'm up early. Tonight's performance is SOLD OUT! I'm so happy for the cast and the church to have a sell out crowd.
Janet: Enjoy your weekend in Toledo.
MaryLynn: I'm glad that Myron's in good hands and is active and healthy. Wow, a 6.2 mile walk! I'm impressed!
My brother had his first radiation yesterday. He's pretty wiped out. His friends are in the process of moving his things to a first level apartment so he can manage better once he gets home. I talked to him yesterday. He sounds pretty beat. I'm sure that the chemo on Tuesday and radiation on Thursday has totally wiped him out.
Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning. First day back that I have not had to run out the door! I have a few things to do around here and then it's off to pick up Glenn's injectable medication and Izzy. Looks like it may be a rainy weekend here. I want go by Kohl's and pick up another one of the blouses I purchased for my reunion. It fit me like a glove and I have a $10 Kohl's bucks to use.
Myra- I know us mothers were and are, always ready for the kids to get back in school. I only had one child, so never as much of a pain for me as those with multiples. Lol. Kudos to you on the long walk!! Good luck on the car search. Have you tried Craigslist or Facebook local sales? You save the taxes the car lot charge you.
Janet- I am sure you are on the road enjoying the peace and great tunes. Have a great time!
Patti- I see your mom is a wheeler-dealer on her hair dresser appointments, that is really too cute of her. Are you going to the cabin this weekend?
Cindy- What do you have planned for this weekend? I think you said your mom was away visiting. I'm sorry to hear of Emily's husband's hand injury. I'm not surprised to hear she stepped up her work hours to help, she is you made over. I hope Meg's home life will move into a groove soon. Maybe when school starts she will catch a break.
TT: please put your thinking cap on for me and let me know what you would like to see in encouragement, challenges and topics as we move into a more stable time frame. I know one program doesn't fit all, but we can try some weekly fun things that may kick start us to start shedding some inches.
Have a great day.

It's Friday so we are headed to the river. No company expected but that doesn't mean we won't have some. Cooler temps and some rain expected. One of the neighbor's invited us for dinner Saturday night but she is a bit of a flake and I won't hold my breath that she will actually come thru. There are always burgers in the freezer, so no worries. Still need to hit the grocery since I have managed to avoid it all week. We have eaten chicken every day, think I need to change things up, lol. Edd never complains, he is the most appreciative eater. Every meal no matter how simple gets a "thank you" and a compliment.
Yesterday's time in the gym did a number on my knee. Too many squats and lunges I think. We did upper body in TRX but you still need to use your legs during the workout, lol. So I decided to not go this am, my right knee actually gave out on me twice last night. Cannot afford to have an injury, so will look stem to my body and give my knees a break. Getting my bad tooth fixed on Tuesday, praying no root canal, not because of the pain but because of the cost.
Karla, what is next for Glenn? Is going to see another specialist? Enjoy your Izzy time.
Janet, enjoy your weekend and be safe on the road. Wave as you drive thru town, I will know!
Cindy, your girls sure have their hands full, just like their Mom. So glad Jim has Em to help as he heals. Praying that Meg finds some balance in her new family life. Hope your weekend can have some relaxation time in it for you.
Mary Lynn, great news for Myron, isn't technology wonderful? It is a good thing that you two workout together.
Myra, great way to get back in the swing, that was quite a walk. Nice that the girls are going to the same school. Happy car hunting. I am leary of Craigslist for buying cars, there have been several shootings in our area associated with craigslist postings for cars.
Bert, a sold out show is awesome and I'll bet it is a result of those who have already seen the performance singing it's praises. Take a bow! Continuing prayers for your brother.
TT: will need to give this some thought. I seriously need some accountability and focus to get back in the game.

Hi Ladies-
I'm on the cusp of weekend time and looking forward to it despite the unrelenting heat. They said storm but so far we're rain free all week.
Mom is traveling this week to friends and family. This is her last week up north. We went to dinner last night and I asked her to have lunch with me on Saturday just the two of us. I think she is already looking forward to it. I'm already teary eyed that she'll be leaving soon. It is great having her around.
If you want to be teary with me check out Sunday's blog post- i was crying as I was writing it and that is just the first draft. LOL
Bert- so glad your brother has wonderful friends to move him.
Patti- it is wonderful Edd is appreciative of your culinary skills.
Janet- I hope you're having a great time this weekend- safe driving and watch the weather
MaryLynn- so happy Myron is good to go-
Myra- 6.2 miles good for you
Karla and Patti thank you for the kind words about the girls. I guess both of them have some of me in there somewhere lol
OK- we'll be at camp and I intend to keep working on the release plan for R2S- next week is the week so stay tuned for details.
Hugs and happiness to all. Have a great weekend.

Good Morning, Ladies. One more show in the history books. I'll know the actual ticket count this morning when I check the tickets and log. If everyone came who reserved tickets, the count would be 158! I'll head to church around noon today to finalize the count and answer the phone for last minute reservations,
My brother's friend and work associates are completing the move today. I'm in need of some input for his "caregiver". Apparently she's a flake! I've never met her, but she hasn't helped with the procedure. She lives there as well. Should I burden my brother in telling him not to give her a key to the new apartment? He has told her that that she is no longer needed.
Have a great day, everyone!
Bert0 -
Good morning and welcome to Saturday. Izzy and I had a wonderful time yesterday and last night. We went to the library, Kohl's and shopping for doll clothes. She loves her two American Girl dolls.
Bert- So happy about your play. So unhappy about your brother's caregiver. No key!
Getting my great nephew today to spend time with him. Making memories.
Have a great weekend.
Karla0 -
Karla: That's my opinion as well. I'm going to talk to him today about it.

It is another beautiful day at the cabin. Just me, Edd and 3 dogs. The neighbor's have a full house of their son's family, friends and grandkids. We are planning a communal meal tonight. I want to try the brined pork chops recipe from my new cookbook. May even whip up some sort of peach dessert. Wasn't thrilled with last week's cobbler so will look for something else to try. My coffee pot went insane this morning, not sure what went wrong, but there was coffee and grounds all over the countertop and floor, but nothing in the pot. Luckily I have space coffee makers. Yesterday we spent several hours floating in the water with the neighbors. We didn't get dinner on the table until just at dark but it was worth it.
Bert, NO KEY! The last thing your brother needs at this juncture is to worry about a flake in his house and in his business.
Cindy, I know how you feel about your Mom getting ready to leave. Every time I visited my parents in Texas I cried on the way home. Especially when my dad's health started to fail. 1600 miles was just too far away for me! Enjoy every minute of the lunch with your Mom. I know she will love the time alone with you. Dad always too me to breakfast before he took me to the airport, mom would stay home. She loved that dad and I had our own special times together. Well, dang, now you have me crying. I miss him so much.
Karla, you have found your match in Izzy or she in you, hardcore shoppers all the way!
Happy trails and happy weekend to you all
Patti

Hi Girls-
Its rained here- thank heavens it has been so dry and finally to have a good day of rain is much needed and the heat has broken.
Rick and I had a nice relaxing weekend at camp. Mom and John are off visiting and we'll see them at the end of the week. My nephews wedding is Sunday and Mom will be on the road after that.
Bert- so glad the ticket sales were strong- I wouldn't give the new care giver a key. That's just me.
Patti- sorry about the coffee maker going berserk- very odd. Brined chops are quiet tasty- if you want a tried and true recipe let me know. I've got a good one.
Karla- glad you had Izzy time this weekend.
Janet- hope you had a great time with your friends this past weekend and got home safely.
Starting tomorrow with the new work schedule and we have next week of vacation time- we will be back and forth to the house during the week as we have some things to get done.
Need to get back to working on Book 6 in the series- Big news mid week- stay tuned.

Home from the cabin after dropping off son's dogs. Another fine weekend with those I love. Chops did not turn out. But I saved face with some stuffed Hungarian wax peppers and a Mexican corn salad. Taking mom to the grocery and spending the day with her tomorrow. Tuesday I will be getting the tooth fixed and then going to see Ghostbusters with the girls. I am hoping to get an invite from nieces to go to world's longest yard sale. 690 miles rom MI to AL on highway 127. It is so much fun.
Cindy, loved your blog this week. You had me reaching for the tissues. I would love your recipe for brined chops. Mine were dry and tough. I don't think I brined them long enough and then cooked them on too hot a girl. I can cook any other kind of pork to perfection but just can't master the porkchop. I like the bone in rib chops.
Too tired to talk more, so you know that's bad!
Patti0 -
Good evening ladies,
Trust you all had a good weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead. You are in my thoughts so often and I get hungry reading about some of your meal combinations.
Perhaps next week I will have some more time to comment on your personal circumstances.
Take care and big hugs,
MaryLynn0 -
Good morning ladies. It's back on the low carb wagon for me this week and onward down into the 180's.
TT: This week I propose anyone that would like to join in, the jar challenge. Get two jar of any type. Fill one jar with the number of inches or pounds, whichever you would like to count, and each week move over to the other jar what you decreased/lost. You can start anytime. I think visuals are good for us. Give it some thought. I'm going to start on Wednesday on mine.
I have an early month end meeting.
Patti- That yard sale starts Thursday in Gadsden. You aren't shy, why wait for an invite? Call and ask if you can go girl!!!
Janet- waiting to hear of your trip and your safety.
Karla0 -
Good Morning, Ladies. Hairspray is in the history books. We sold out each night this weekend. I even added more chairs along the walls, and people bought them! One boy rode his bicycle yesterday in the hot sun (almost 10 miles one way), so we let him in for free. I didn't get there until the second act. It was a great show.
I've spoken to my brother and have told him my feelings. I think he's in agreement not to give this "caretaker" a key to the apartment. I hope he sticks with it. I've heard she's very manipulative......heaven help me if I meet her this coming weekend!
I'm investigating care taker possibilities today, but am not sure where to start. If anyone could give me some tips, that would be great. He can't afford to pay much (that's why he took her in the first time).
Karla: Way to go!
Have a great day, everyone.
Bert0 -
Hi All-
Just a quick stop- another busy Monday in the corporate world.
Karla- the jar idea is interesting- I'm going to see if I can do something like that- but since I haven't weighed myself in weeks it won't be pounds. Maybe days I eat on plan?
Bert- I'd search the woman out- but that's just me. lol
Need to run- have a great day.
Cindy0 -
Quick stop before heading to Mom's so I can speak to Bert's question.
Bert, is your brother on Medicare or Medicaid or private insurance? He would qualify for skilled care and home health aid services when he comes home. If at all possible contact the social services or case management department at the hospital. They are probably already working on home going plans. You may need to talk to your brother to give them permission to talk to you. They know what is available in the area and what would be covered by his insurance plan. Good luck if you need more help you can message me on FB and I will see what I can do. I am a retired Case Manager, and this is what I used to do.
Gotta run. Praying our Janet made it home and will check in to let us all know she is safe and tell us about her trip,
Patti0 -
Hi, all -- safely at home, thanks. Trip was great. The party Friday night was just fun, start to finish. Cool venue (at a park), even without decent AC (yeah ... ceiling fans helped some). Spent Saturday with my best friend and her family -- just relaxing and delightful. Lots of laughs and hugs and a chance to hang out with my favorite four-year-old, who is getting a little brother next month. Still hurting from too much time on feet and doing a little danceing, but oh well.
This trip just reminded me that there are at least four families with whom I am more welcome and relaxed than with my own, where I am essentially a Martian and an afterthought, if that. (Yes, that status is undeserved, but I can't change their narrow little minds.) Thank God for dear friends, who chose me and accept me and treat me as one of their own. The drive home yesterdday wasn't bad either -- no construction, but the reduced speed limits all through Ohio are aggravating -- good thing I have cruise control!
Karla, I like the jar idea and may jump in. Good food for thought anyway. Really trying NOT to focus on a number at this point. It only throws me off and makes me beat myself up. Like Cindy, I will think of something though.
Focusing on getting ready for my five houseguests to arrive Thursday noonish. Can't wait to meet my friend's husband and daughters -- it'll be so much fun! But today I am going to take it slow and easy after a fun weekend.
Bert, the Hairspray pics looked great -- what fun! Hope your brother stands firm about giving that woman a key. I know you're doing all you can from a distance. Hugs.
Patti, can't imagune you doing anything culinary that flops!
Cindy, your blog post made me cry too, for different reasons than the rest of you but that's OK -- I am thrilled for all of you who had warm, supportive moms. I am so glad you've had this time with your mom. Keep the week under control at work, and I eagerly await the midweek news! (I have now reviewed all of the Loudon books on Amazon.)0 -
Oh Lord what a busy day, I'm pooped!
I had to drive out to North Mobile County to my client there and then all the way to Biloxi to meet with the doctor there. Both places are backed up with credentialing and I am their credentialing manager. I felt like each cheek had a chunk removed. Lol. We did finally get our Medicaid provider number after waiting since March.
Janet- I'm so glad you had such a wonderful time. Yes, any option you want to use the Jars for is kewl.
Cindy- I went back and read your blogs back to Father's Day. So sweet, all of the. You quoted Patti about us girls k friends and us core group, I felt special. Even the three minutes, it was all there and I enjoyed it.
Patti- did you find out about the yard sale?
Glenn is on his way home, I love him so.

Cindy, I think I'm going to borrow your idea of "days on plan" and use a button for each day. There won't be a button in the "on plan" bin for today -- been a bit of a toughie, but tomorrow is a fresh day and that's that. Instead of jars I will use a cute little box for "success day" buttons.0

Late stop. Nice day with mom, as always. Took her to the grocery and fixed her computer so she can see it better. She has not been on line in a month. I think she must have had a power outage and it reset the font to normal. I had to increase it to 250% for her to be able to read it comfortably. You should have seen the smile on her face. On the other side of that is watching her cry because her decreasing eyesight and mobility have put such limits on her life. It tears my heart out to see her cry. I would do just about anything to make her see well enough to read and take her pain so she could get around better. On another good note, we talked about getting a quad cane or hurry cane to make her steadier and feel more confident. She actually liked the idea and listened politely to a mini lecture on body mechanics, lol. My sis is taking her out shopping in a few days and they plan to go to Walgreens. She is going to give the quad cane a try, I told her to ask the clerk if she could take one outside and try going up and down a curb with it, that is where she has the most trouble. My GF started her 6 weeks of radiation today, all went well. Now just 29 treatments to go. We are going to see Ghostbusters in 3D tomorrow afternoon, after my dental work. Would ask for prayers that I don't need a root canal but would prefer you use your prayers for my GF.
Janet, so happy to see your post and hear what a lovely time with even more lovely people. Sometimes I think our friends are sent to us by a higher power and are hand picked in some cases. Your friends sound like the hand chosen ones. And now you have the double visit from your friend. I can already see her kids being totally pampered by you. Rest as much as you can so you have lots of energy for whatever time they are able to stay with you.
TT: still contemplating this one. I think I need a stronger visual or incentive. I don't think buttons or slips of paper are going to be enough for me right now. Maybe mousetraps attached to fridge and cupboards, then if I get "caught" I have a physical reminder to get my eating under control, lol. Not to worry, I do not believe in aversion therapy. Just need to search my soul for what is holding me back.
Patti

Good morning my dear friends.
Janet- How cute and elegant of you. Boxes and buttons. I think it is wonderful to use this method for whatever mini goal we are working on. We can change it whenever we want to. I like it! I like the visual effect.
Cindy- You have really made us all think as usual. Just like we set our weekly mini goals, we can begin to do that again and use this visual aid to see how we are doing with it. I love it!
Patti- if you are just not ready to face the fridge and cupboards yet, make the mini goal and visual aid something about your gym schedule you would like to update. I know you have continued with it. We have all struggled with different areas and these mini weekly goals will help us pick one small area at a time. This small visual aid set out someplace where we will see it will remind us we are working on a commitment we have made to yourself. I have faith in you and your soul.
TT: where in your home will you display your boxes or jars? Will you use boxes or jars, balls or marbles? Be creative out of your craft room. Let's make it fun!! Decorate your container with ribbons I and bows.
My housekeepers are coming today so I am prepping the home this morning. With two kids here this weekend there are toys everywhere. Lol.
I am home today. I plan on walking on the treadmill and swimming this evening. I also plan on cooking lots of vegetables today as I have been lax on them.
Karla0 -
Hi Ladies-
I think I'm going to use pretty mason jars for my containers- but I need to find something pretty to use as my "tokens".
Patti I'm with you on the mouse traps- LOL
Karla- so glad you enjoyed my blog posts.
Janet- are you resting up for the big weekend?
Bert- I liked Patti suggestion about the case worker for your brother. Let him know you love him and only wants what best so hopefully he'll grant you permission to be his advocate. Stay tough.
I just posted the book on my FB page- it is the proof copy only and this is another teaser but can you all share it to help build excitement? Holding a years work in my hands brought me to tears last night. I pour so much into my books it is humbling to actually hold it in my hands for the first time- makes it real.
Also Karla- I know you've read the series- have you been able to post any reviews? If you could I would sincerely appreciate your support. You don't have to answer and if you haven't had time this is certainly no pressure from me.
One other highlight from yesterday... drum roll please... I finished the first draft of Book 6 in the series. I was sitting on the couch typing the ending and I was starting to cry- Rick looked at me as if I had sprouted an extra head- told him, its a romance writers obligation to make herself cry if she wants her readers to feel the emotion. He sighed and went to get a cherry turnover. LOL
I have a good day of eating planned and I woke up feeling empty- you know this is a sign I use to know I'm on track.
Gotta run- but I'll drop by later.
Cindy0
