Measurements were all up this week. .5 - 1 inch each. Hurting bad all week and it's showing everywhere. Will do better update next week, hopefully. Did get Christmas presents all made (the wire decorations), just need to do two more names once I get more wire. Then I can make the gift boxes once I get my hands on some more cards.

The wicked pain has let up some this week. I'm still hurting today, but Christmas gifts are finished!!! Decorations are made and the boxes are created and the decorations put into them!

Beef roast in the slow cooker for supper. This has got to be the worst kind of torture!! But thanks to actually eating now I know I won't feel the need to eat until I am sick to my stomach. Such an amazing improvement.

Hoping everyone has a great week!

Slow cooker beef sounds so tasty. We've been grilling and I am really longing for some weather that at least isn't the 80s or 90s so we can roast something, anything in the oven! Enjoy the week!

It's been a pretty good week. Woke up this morning to our first snow fall of the year, of course people have forgotten how to drive. The fire scanner is going nuts with car accidents. Why don't people remember that snow makes roads slick so they need to slow down? Thankfully, even though at least one of them has been a roll over there have been no injuries.

    Great week!
We had thick ice on the roads this morning. So glad I have a 4WD truck on days like today as where we live is really hilly and those steep inclines are scary in the ice!
Now we are having a rain and wind storm and our cats are tucked up warm inside with no intention of going out there!
    Me neither!
    Have a wonderful week!

Not too bad of a week. Yesterday my sister (9 years older than me) had a very scary episode where her whole body spasmed. I went over to my Dad's to assist her. Just before I came back home my stupid knee decided to hyper-extend. Today I am in agony, and my leg is swollen from the ankle to above my knee. Of course my Skye kitty thinks she must walk on that knee and the Chubby kitty thinks she must jump off that knee to get in her window. Ugg. I love my cats, I love my cats! Actually I do love my cats, sometimes though they are worse than children. LOL

I've been busy this week! I tried my hand at loom weaving with beads. I even made it on a temporary loom made out of foam insulation, combs, and brad nails. LOL I enjoyed it so much that Rick is making me a loom. <3

There's a first time for everything right? Rick took me to Denny's for dinner today. I ate all of my pot roast meal and had a hot fudge sunday as well. I've never eaten so much at one time in my life, and I still have calories left. Of course it might have helped that I "forgot" to eat lunch.

  • One great tip that helps getting calories in is adding 1-4 tbsp of Organic Coconut Oil to protein shakes. You don't taste the oil it just makes protein shakes extra silky and smooth :) .

Just make sure the oil is melted. 1tbsp of coconut oil has 120 calories - so if you do 2 shakes a day with 2tbsp coconut oil in them you'll get in 480 calories - and drinking calories makes it so much easier than chewing :D. Here's a great Red Velvet Christmas Cookie Protein Shake Recipe that includes 2TBSP coconut oil <3 !

Red Velvet Crinkle Cookie Protein Shake
    Nutrition Info
    24g Protein • 6g Carbs • 30g Fat • 410 Calories

    What you'll need:

    • 1 scoop Protein Milkshake Chocolate Protein Powder

    • 1 cup nut milk

    • 2tbsp melted organic coconut oil

    • 1 tablespoon sugar free instant pudding mix

    • 2 drops natural red food coloring

    Blend and enjoy!

I had a few days this last two weeks where I forgot to eat. That's the problem when I start a new hobby, food becomes a non-important part of my day. I really need to remember to eat. LOL I know most people don't have that problem and you'd think I would have gotten rid of that problem, but I guess I haven't. I'll get there eventually. I guess after 20+ years of under eating you don't just go to eating normally over night. I do have to admit that for the first time in my life I'm not freezing even with a foot of snow outside!!! I'm loving that, to some extent, I don't like being over warm. Gee I didn't think I'd ever in my life say that!

This is what I am making and why I forget to eat: k0cv19rrmiut.jpg

What would you charge for them? Or maybe I should ask what you would pay for them?

I do believe I am going to take the rest of the year off from weights and measures. I'm starting to get depressed with the weight going up again, even with the inches going down. I'm hoping a break will help with that.

    Here's this weeks newest creation.

Sometimes it gets hard and we definitely need a break so we can come back stronger and more focused. This is what we should do when life gets tough for whatever reason:
"This phase is when you just can’t take on anymore. Maybe you are over stressed. Maybe you are totally overwhelmed with all of the information at your fingers. Maybe you aren’t quite sure what you should be doing and don’t trust the process yet. Here is where you give yourself permission to “Chill” No tracking involved, just eating intuitively and mindfully. Understand though, that fat loss, muscle building and measurements will not be happening here. Chill means “CHILL”."

This pin will lead you to a quick read on staying positive and gratitude: http://pin.it/darr_VK

We laid my cousin's 21 year old son to rest on Thursday night. My Mom passed away 22 years ago on the 10th. My Aunt Rosie passed away December 27, 2009.

I despise the month of December.

With the holidays, and everything I just need to get away from everything for a few days. I'm still keeping track of food most days (not today though, Christmas eve is my families day to get together)

Know that it is ok to take breaks and walk away for a bit if it becomes too much during stressful times. Especially at this time of year, enjoy the time with family and put other things like tracking aside.

Currently working out a new bead pattern. I think I finally got it to turn out consistently using 6/0 beads (larger beads and wire) . Now if I could just get it to turn out with the 11/0 beads (smaller beads and nylon filament. I think I like the one without the arrow the best.

Going to sit in this area for a while just to see what happens.

The weather is nasty today in WNY. A high of 17 degrees F windy and snowing. I don't think we have to go anywhere today, but if Rick gets the new navigation radio installed in the Jeep we might go for a ride just to check out the mapping system.

Not much going on this week. We went shopping yesterday, so I think the slight increase in my forearm is swelling from using the forearm crutches, after all most of my measurements were either the same or smaller. And I may not have measured in the same place or several other things may factor in, but I'll take the other slightly smaller measurements!

Working with the beads and wire, I have noticed that my fingers are starting to get stronger! My bead work is getting much tighter.

Dragons, bees, and hearts invaded my house this week!
