Today is a stretching day...which I'm kind of terrible about prioritizing, but I can feel that I need it this week!

Sunday...so, I totally didn't prioritize stretching...again...I totally had whiskey with dinner and watched Farscape and skipped stretching...I did however keep my food in line and I did good with protein, and I did a full hour on the elliptical, so I got that going for me!

Today is eccentric lower, so that should be an awesome start to the week!!!

Monday was good...carbs a bit over and calories a bit over, but nothing too crazy for a maintenance day just a little outside the goal window...and I was soooo hungry in the evening, so I definitely feel ok about eating the extra food given the level of hunger....I did my walking, then eccentric lower and increased several of the weights...and did 20 min on the elliptical as a bonus.

All in all an OK but not perfect day!

Walking at lunch, Beast Total Body - it was so hard and such a chore...food on point even though I totally had a couple reeces sticks as a treat...all in all a solid day!!!

Wednedsay was good. Protein was solid, carbs were way high, calories were slightly over but not terribly so. I walked a good amount, 12K steps, and did my custom glute routine...which was hard to push through because I was sleepy and not feeling it, but I did push through and that's part of the reason I allowed myself more carbs, I just need to make sure the energy crash of last month does not repeat itself.

My original goal was to transition off keto to LC in September, but I might make that transition a few months earlier. I would like to track while I'm on vacation next month, so I may adjust the carbs up. It will make adherence easier for vacation, but I need to make sure the stupid app will work on my phone since I won't have a PC during that time. If I can't track then I will just go carnivore because that's just easier.

Thursday is dress rehearsal and Friday is performance, so I'm not sure if I'm going to get a chance to workout either day, and food is going to be very catch as you can.

    Today's motivation:

Oh, and I did measurements this morning, just really quick...my weight is up so likely retaining some water from the carbs last night...but, hips and belly button are down several inches...legs are slightly bigger...arms are the same...this month is lower body overload, so I don't expect arms to change, and I was expecting a bigger hip measurement, but I must be loosing some fat there, because it was down, not up.

And a on a similar note, I took in two of my dresses last night because they were way too big in the waist and I hate it when they don't fit right because then they don't move right either...one was a bit too big even when I bought it, the other was a good fit when I bought it, but now it's definitely too baggy for comfort...I was surprised at how much I had to take off the sides...I knew both of them had a waist point that was slightly higher than my actual waist, so I expected that a lot would need to come off at my actual waist, but I ended up having to trim them over the ribcage and even down over the love handles way more than I anticipated.

They looked good on me before, but after tailoring they look downright amazing on me!!!

They both need washed, but when I wear them next I'll have to remember to get pics.

Thursday...busy day...food was on point, which is kind of amazing all things considered...exercise was just walking...got home and the darling ballerina was not even remotely ready...she didn't pack up any of her hair/makeup stuff or have her costume ready to go, and then she didn't even burst into action she just kind of lazily got changed...I wasn't getting on her case either, she's 15, she is perfectly able to be on top of her own sense of urgency...we were supposed to be there at 5:30 with hair/makeup done...end result, we got there at 5:35 and nothing was done because she didn't get dressed in time for hair/makeup...so we did hair/makeup at the place...which wasn't the end of the world, but it was rushed and way more stress than it should have been...I didn't even get pictures like I had planned because her hair and makeup was kind of a mess and I didn't even want to bother paying a premium to get photos of that...I took some phone pics, that will be good enough.

Today, she has a list of forgotten items that she's supposed to add to her supplies stash...and then maybe we will be able to do hair and makeup correctly.

We got home at 10:30pm, so no time for weights...tonight is likely to be at least as late...and Sat morning is an early thing, but the rest of saturday is pretty open, so maybe, just maybe I can get a makeup workout in, potentially???

Friday...another busy day...no exercise beyond walking, and no extra walking either...on the plus side the ballerina child was more with it and we were far better prepared. Food was over, by like 500 cals (which is about 300 more than I normally allow)...carbs were good for a change, and dinner was super late, so I'm kind of proud of myself for making good nutritionally sound food choices even when I was super hungry (sirloin and grilled salmon plus a side salad...I also ordered mashed sweet potatoes, but the weren't very good so I only ate like 2 bites and didn't bother to log that)...lots of protein yesterday, so I'm not going to sweat the overage...my eating was more consistent and at the top of my goal and that's good because this past week was only 2 days of deficit and I need to get the maintenance days at full maintenance to hopefully keep from having that insane energy crash...next week is back to 4 deficit days, so that should be a challenge, but hopefully also see results.

May I went from 161 to 158 before the energy crash and return to maintenance combined with the monthly PMS weight gain (9 pounds last month)...I started June up from PMS and then when it dropped it never really went all the way down, I always yo-yo with the water weight shifts, but I was only going down to about 159...the last few days have been back on a drop weight cycle...today I am back down to 158 and typically I'm up after a high calorie day, so I expect to actually drop more tomorrow if I am good and don't have alcohol tonight (because alcohol always mucks up the scale)...I would like to see a "real" weight for June, I understand the normality of the water weight shifts, and they have been worse the last few years with peri-menopause, but they are frustrating and it would be nice to have some idea how June is actually going without the water weight swings. I have been logging my weight every day (if I remember) so I can do more averages for each week and keep an eye on it that way.

Saturday was definitely a maintenance day, not a low day like it was supposed to be.

Sunday was actually good except way low on protein.

Saturday I had ice cream, and Sunday I woke up feeling like total crap...like headache and congestion and hungover feeling...from ice cream...I didn't even have alcohol.

I did have a few Grapefruit Shandys on Sunday...I love grapefruit, but the grapefruit beers are usually super bitter IPA type beers which I don't like...this one was perfect...nice fruit flavor, not bitter, and nice beer...so yum!!!

On the plus side, I was driving, so I had a few, and then ate, and then sobered up so no temptation to drink more.

On the not plus side, my sister backed into my car because she wasn't paying attention...no major damage, but a big ugly dent.

Oh, and I'm 4 days without a workout, and tonight is ballet, so probably no workout tonight, but maybe I can get in some extra walking at least!

Monday...such a grumpy and stabby kind of Monday...yes, that would be full blown PMS overnight...geez, so tired of the hormone roller coaster...food was maintenance...it's a wonder it was even maintenance and not way over, I was sooooo hungry all day...I was good and stuck to my keto foods for the most part...and I have compensated by adding lots of lettuce for today to hopefully fill the belly a bit more without filling the calorie tank too much.

I did get extra walking, 16K steps. I think I could have made it to 20K but a storm moved in and it started to rain, so I ended up indoors for the last 45 min instead of walking.

On the plus side, I finally finished sorting all my older Pokemon!!!

Tuesday...less grumpy...did some extra walking 15K steps...no weights AGAIN...ugh...took the child to get her ears pierced (2nd hole) and then shopped for new athletic shoes and then went out to dinner and then hit up wal-mart...so we didn't get home until 10pm and I just showered and went to bed...I was so hungry yesterday...I was a little over on calories, but still deficit, just a smaller one...a snack or a beer with dinner, but both was just too much...protein was decent at least.

Tonight, however, I am going nowhere and I have nothing planned beyond cooking the chicken on the grill, so tonight is glutes and abs and I am sooooooo happy!!!

    Wednesday...hump day...and boy what a humping!!!

The day started awful. Immediate problems with the release, I couldn't even escape my desk to get coffee...fortunately my girlfriends were nice enough to take my money and cup and hook me up with the goods!!!

Then even though things were wrong with the release (crap data in prod, which probably no one could predict...and oh, shocker, the other item no one bothered to test at all...<gasp>...the horror) we did manage to recover and back it out and fix things...so we can do it all over again tomorrow...<sigh>

Then I went home...and I lifted all the weights, and I grilled all the food, and I watched some Firefly and some Babylon 5, and I'm on my third whiskey but I logged five so I can keep going if I want and life is good!!!

July is mostly vacation, 20 days...and I added a weekend down to Myrtle Beach to visit a friend I haven't seen in a few years...so even better...so excited to catch up with her and her family!!!

I ended up only having 4 whiskeys because that's when the bottle was empty...I knew there wasn't much in there. I wouldn't mind getting more, Jameson is my favorite, but I have 2 others in there that I don't like as much and I should probably just drink those and be rid of them.

I was stretching while changing clothes...that melted wax look is happening on he front of my legs now, right above the knee...I didn't even know that was a place to store fat, however the muscle is definitely more defined and the skin is looking kinda sad...so, that's progress of some sort.

So...I've been contemplating the vacation dilemma...I have 2 vacations in July...both beach trips and I've been trying to decide what my goals should be...I think I'll go with OMAD (one meal a day) and just eat dinner while I'm on vacation...that should enable me to eat a gloriously large meal and have a few drinks and still stay at maintenance for the trips...then I'm going to do my alternating PSMF for the non-vacation time. That has been really successful for June...so I'm thinking overall I can still enjoy my vacations and also shed about 1.6 lbs of fat for the month.

I also printed up body weight workouts that don't require any equipment that I can do on vacation...and when I'm at the Chincoteague house I also have some outdoor painting and minor yard cleanup to do, so that will be a fair bit of activity for a vacation.

Friday...a busy day, about 5 hours of manual labor packing and moving friends...I HATE packing people...I don't mind moving, but seriously sort through your own crap and pack it up if you don't want it broken, I'm like a moose in a china shop, I should not be packing anything delicate, like ever.

6.5K steps...pretty much all of it carrying stuff or going up/down stairs...so, I'm sore and I'm so tired, but no workouts beyond moving!

Didn't workout or track food Saturday or Sunday...Saturday was the funeral and I actually didn't eat much there, but I did have some beer and comfort food afterward (ice cream and cheesecake, so yum)...Sunday was moving again...I had a sausage/egg/cheese croissant for breakfast...2 doughnuts around lunch time...then a double whopper with cheese/bacon around 4pm after we were done moving...so dinner was just a pork chop, but I totally had ice cream and cheesecake for dessert, and an entire bottle of wine...it was totally yum...8k+ steps, and most of it carrying things or going up/down stairs, so probably not over in terms of food but not under either, probably maintenance.

At least the move did get done, though I think my family and I did about 90% of it. I don't like packing people, moving I don't mind so much, but I hate having to pack people who aren't really ready to move...<sigh>...but, it's done...I expect it will take them a full year to get unpacked.

Monday was solid. I didn't do weights because my carpal tunnel is killing me from all the moving over the weekend...but I did walk and do 100 bodyweight squats, so that's something...food was on target with plenty of protein...so, not bad at all!!!

Tuesday...so hungry all day...had a second lunch...then pizza for dinner, and even some cheesecake for dessert...ate at maintenance...I did my walking, plus got about 40 min on the elliptical before I got the call that all was ready with my sisters house...spent the rest of the night moving furniture and setting up beds...which is part of why dinner was a bit off plan...but it's all good...you have to make life fit!!!
