Friday was good...I actually felt good after eating and got in plenty of solid nutrition...no workouts beyond walking and bowling, but that was also good...and plenty of rest...it's so nice to be back on track to feeling normal...I forgot how amazing normal could be!!!

    Saturday was solid.

    I raked leaves.

    I had a healthy lunch.

I did glutes and half an hour on the elliptical.

I had dinner at a friends house and I didn't log but I did eat sensibly...only half a glass of wine...only a small bite of some of the desserts, and totally skipped others.

I feel really good about the day even though logging was skipped.

Sunday was not as solid, but good...I did about 15 min of my plyo workout...then had a healthy lunch...then some snacks at D&D...then a healthy dinner and a glass of wine as a bit of a splurge...way too much time spent sitting both in the car and at D&D, plus reading before that, but still it was relaxing and food was pretty on target for a high calorie day.

I did the math on my calorie intake for the month, plus the extra calories from the 2 lbs I lost to calculate what maintenance actually is for me...1775...that's just so sad...I adjusted my formulas for Beast to reflect my actual maintenance, it still seems like so much food, but based on the math that puts me at a 1.7 lb gain each of the high calorie months, and a 3 lb loss the final month...that would be an overall half pound gain, and the hope is a lower bodyfat percentage from spending 2 months building muscle...of course, I will update the math after the feb/march shred anyway, but losing a few more pounds isn't going to dramatically change the formula.

I'm kind of excited...it's been a while since I made any kind of major progress on my body composition, most of this year was just very small changes, and while that's good, any progress is good, I'd really like to kick it into a higher gear and make more dramatic progress!

Monday was eating at maintenance and no exercise except some walking...my quads and glutes are very sore from sunday's plyo followed by sitting in the car and at the game...so, decided to take a night off...plus, Stranger Things season 2 arrived and I wanted to watch the show!!!

The January plan...I'm going to log food and exercise in MFP so that I can run reports later and see how I fared against the plan...

I'm so tired of how glitchy this site is getting...

Wed was ok, did some glutes, but not cardio, ate ok, but protein could have been better...mostly just relaxed and enjoyed the holiday...yay me!

Friday...was good, food was on target, and headed to the beach...

Saturday...food was over between midnight snacking and whiskey plus an evening spent watching movies with more snacking and whiskey...I did spend about 4 hours doing yard work, and another couple hours walking, so plenty of activity but no formal exercise...

Sunday...food was under to offset the amount of Saturday's overage pretty closely, so the weekend should end in a beautiful balance of maintenance...plus, did half an hour of weights and about 20 min on the elliptical...I was scheduled to do a full hour, but with the way my legs were feeling, I decided cutting down was better than getting injured...

MFP app wouldn't work on my phone AT ALL the whole weekend, which was super freaking annoying...so I uninstalled it and put FatSecret on for food tracking...I don't like it as much, the free version doesn't let me set macro goals...or possibly I just haven't figured that out yet, but in any case, at least it gives me something that I can use to monitor my intake...I'm totally fed up with MFP at this point, it's so useless and frustrating.

Monday, food was good, not perfect, but solid, particularly given that it was a hungry day...also, totally kicked *kitten* at yoga/pilates...worked hard and didn't even take the breaks between sets, did the alternative moves instead most of the time...feeling it today too, in a good way...it's nice to be challenged and give it 100%

Tuesday, food was good, probably better if I had skipped the wine, but it fit and I was in the mood to relax with some tv and enjoy the snow and the fire...exercise was good, walking 10K, plus glutes, plus only about 10 min on the elliptical instead of the planned hour because my inner thighs were just on fire from pilates and I figured less workout was better than being injured the whole week...but still...good...glutes was a major struggle, but I toughed that one out for the full 15 min.

Wednesday...food was good...I was planning to dive into carnivore, but now I've decided I'm just way too in love with my veggies...I'll keep it to the current carb levels and allow veggies, but only do pasta or rice once every 5 days as my "carb refeed"...I just really like them too much...I totally forgot to to my strength training, and I was supposed to do CVX for cardio, but I was still pretty sore, so I opted for Les Mills Combat instead...it's longer, but easier to adapt the intensity to how my muscles actually felt, so that made it a better fit for the night.

Thursday - food was, oh heck, the site was down yesterday evening...let me go fix my food log...food was a little over, but dinner was a designated carb refeed meal, so I'm not going to fret about it...exercise was just walking and strength training...been so tired lately, like I'm not recovering as I should, and even getting more rest than usual isn't helping...plus I'm way more sore than I should be for my current activity level...like I'm just not bouncing back...I ordered some beef liver pills to take since iron is an issue for me sometimes and that's a good way to get iron without overdosing on iron...plus other good amino acids for recovery...I will see how I feel after a month on these...hopefully they will be just what I need nutritionally!!!

Friday - food was a bit under and protein was a bit low, plus I didn't do any working out, but overall it was good.

Saturday - splurged on some cake at a b-day party, plus some ice cream in the evening, protein was more like average and calories were ok...totally kicked booty on the workout, did both Fri/Sat strength plus 20 min on the stairs in place of the elliptical because time was short and I wanted to make those 20 min really count to the max.

Sunday - mostly just relaxed and hung out with family, no workouts, but food was ok, protein still a bit low.

I feel so much better on this every other day workout schedule...I'm thinking about reworking my Jan plans to allow for only 4 days of lifting...instead of lifting a little every day...I don't know why this month is such a struggle, but if I can get better workouts in with recovery time, then so be it!

Food was good, yoga/pilates was ok, but not as intense as last week...way more yoga and only like 7 min of pilates, so definitely not as challenging for me...I still gave it 100%, but I don't feel like I was super challenged except in my shoulders, lots and lots of downward dog.

Tuesday was such a monday kind of day...food was ok, protein could have been better...and I forgot to snag shrimp while I was at the store...silly me...plus, I was just so meh about the working out...I did some stairs...then some treadmill...so meh...not as tired as earlier in the month, so maybe the liver pills are starting to help, but still not exactly motivated either...

Wednesday...no working out...food was over 1800 cals, mostly in margaritas...which, I'm actually cool with...one day over isn't going to kill anything, and I was totally in a margarita mood, which only happens once or twice a year.

Thursday...food was pretty good...a bit carby in the evening, but that's probably actually good since I did lots of working out...glutes, posterior chain, shoulders, PLUS, 20 min on stairs...man, it felt good to wake up with that sore feeling...I even wore a dress and my adorable snow boots!!! Totally could have slept more though...I would like to sleep in all weekend...

Friday was solid on nutrition...even travelling to the beach, no snacking or any of that junk...I did have some wine to wind down after we got there...

Didn't track Saturday or Sunday and no workouts, but we loaded an entire dumpster of trash and yard debris and pieces of the collapsed shed...and we washed the house which was labor intensive and took a few hours...and it was all in the cold, so I'm sure I burned plenty of calories just staying warm.

I did drink 2 bottles of red wine over the weekend, plus, did some snacking on pork rinds and cream cheese on Saturday night...plus, an enormous steak, and some eggs, and sandwiches...I would say food was pretty ok, and given the level of activity, I'm going to go with it was just what the body needed...Sunday was particularly a bottomless pit kind of day, but it was a solid nutrition day, no junk, so I'm good with it.

Lucifer's waterfall showed up Saturday, so I was tired an achey and feeling like crap before we even started any of it...but I did persevere on and now the house looks better and the backyard is actually a usable yard and almost all the trash is gone.

What's left is half buried in the earth...I didn't know that's how it would be, so we didn't have shovels, so will need to bring shovels and a pitchfork to get the rest of the trash unearthed.

Monday was solid...food was decent...yoga and pilates was challenging enough...all in all a good day, the only slip was getting into the chocolate eggs while dinner was cooking...I really need to do like a crock pot meal for Mondays because we are all just starving when we get home from class and waiting on food to cook is no bueno.

Tuesday was ok on food...protein was too low, carbs were too high, but calories were good which is nice for a happy hour night with the girls...I was good and I didn't order the cheesecake!!! I even had just the one beer!!!

I didn't do cardio since I didn't get home until 10pm, but I did go walk at the mall between work and meeting the girls, so not an entirely wasted evening in the activity arena.

Wed...so on track, actually under on calories, even after a glass of wine...and I lifted all the weights...barely...had to do it after dinner because schedule was tight, but still, it got done!

Thursday was actually on target...we celebrated my birthday so I expected it to be high, but my husband and I split a steak and I guess the protein was super filling because I only had a couple bites of desserts even though they were delicious...most of it went home...no workout, but I did get my 10K steps, and I got to put on makeup and look all girly and such, so it was fun!!!

    Thank you!

Friday was good - food on track, strength training and some cardio done.

Saturday was good - food is way under, I might add some whiskey, strength training done...might do some cardio later.

    Sunday I didn't track...should I go back and track???

    Maybe...

However, I did weigh in at an astonishing 150.4 on Sunday morning...I must have lost a ton of water from the monthly junk...we'll see where that balances out...

oh, I did go back and log...very carby Sunday, and a bit over...but...not the end of the world, and it was a very relaxing down day, which I don't get often...no worries.

Monday was good...had the last of the ice cream as a bit of a splurge...it's only a few days until February so I'm going to go ahead and set up my macros and such so I can have a few days transition...didn't workout at all...got home way late due to traffic and was super hungry, then felt kind of ick after having an apple, so no workouts...but, it's technically my rest day so that's fine too.
