Love love love the hair! And I love that top too... Tapas and drinks sounds awesome - that was actually our plan for tonight (it was more specifically tapas and wine) but I think we are now going to a local pub to watch a band...

About the gain - if you're anything like me it will be gone tomorrow (mine disappeared today) because your body is a b1tch and knows it's weigh-in day! :)

Thank you, Sarah. We went to our local fun place downtown afterwards and watched a band.

Yep, probably tomorrow it'll be gone. But I do need to tighten up a bit. lol

My husband and I had a blast on our night out! Sorry I didn't take any food pictures, but pulling out my phone while eating a romantic dinner didn't seem appropriate.

Anyhoo, we split some tapas, a main plate and dessert. Our tapas were creamed bacon and brussel sprouts that were like little bites of heaven! Then crispy spicy chicken wings with raspberry pepper sauce served over warm oatmeal and thinly sliced radishes. I cannot even describe how awesome this combination was... oatmeal and radishes with wings? You'll just have to trust me when I say the flavors went perfectly together! Main meal was the most tender steak we have ever eaten, perfectly marbled 10 oz Wagyu Ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and summer vegetables. It was to die for! Lastly, 3 scoops of gourmet made ice cream, one scoop each of pecan, banana, and cantaloupe. I can't even! Creamy, flavorful, delicious!! We also had a few drinks. I had two Sunkissed Martinis and a Million Dollar Coffee, then we went to listen to a band and I had a couple Malibu and pineapple drinks.

Time to tighten up on my eating now, we've had a lot of fun this week with my hubby's return, and that's okay! But, overdoing these things will pile on the pounds if I'm not mindful and I don't want that to happen. Enjoying in moderation is key, after all.

Your hair cut is so cute and stylish. Isn't great to feel cute again? What a meal you had! Who can say they eat like that and lose 50 pounds! When you're ordering you're thinking what the waitress is thinking..." wow she is blessed with a fast metabolism". Ha so cool we can eat like that every once in a while. You really lost fast...50 since March right? That's awesome!

Thanks, Kat! One day maybe someone will think I have a fast metabolism, but I'm still fat, so I don't think I'm there yet, lol. It's okay though, I know I'm getting healthier. I know I have a ways to go. I do love my haircut and style though, it really helps me feel pretty along the way to better health :-)

I can't wait for the day somebody thinks I have a fast metabolism!!! :) I totally want to be one of those people I secretly hate because they can seemingly eat whatever they want and stay thin! (Though interestingly, I can't off the top of my head think of any women around my age that I know who are "naturally" thin. If they are thin, they are working at it with exercise and watching what they eat. They may not struggle as much as I do, but they are definitely not lying on the couch eating pizza every night! I know plenty of women under 30 like that and a few under 40, but none my age! I can think of some men though.)

Some of the best meals are those made with my hubby...I must say, we kicked butt! Homemade Veggie Lo Mein (bok Choy, sweet onions, colorful bell peppers, garlic, and carrots), and General Tso's Chicken with Jasmine Rice. I wanted a healthier version of the chicken, lucked out and found a recipe that you bake instead of fry. Donnie worked his magic of coating the pieces with corn flakes and flour and egg; the chicken was so tender. Everything was delicious!!

***Will post recipe links in Recipe Thread

Key word is "seemingly". lol My sister gained a bit of weight over the past few years, but I used to think the same about her, that she was one of those who could eat whatever and never gain. Well, she was eating whatever... chips, soda, fatty foods, fried foods, it just wasn't a whole lot over the course of the day and she never eats when she's already full. I think that's probably how it is in reality for most people.

My husband actually did eat and drink whatever with no worries, he couldn't gain weight to save his *kitten*, before age 25. My dead once stepdad told my hubby, "You can eat like that and drink all the soda you want, for now. When you hit 25 those days will come to an end." LOL Though, my husband was so underweight that it was a decade or so before he actually got any fat, he did start gaining after 25 though. :-)

@mistymeadows2005 so true, we do know it :-)

Yes, that's the thing - they really don't eat that much and stop when they are full (such a novel concept!!). My ex mother and father in law were both tiny, but, they always shared a meal when out, they walked very long distances in the English countryside every day and she once told me that she was like a snake - if she ate a lot one day, her body didn't want as much the next day so she ate very little. I guess they were what you would call "naturally" thin, but they sure weren't eating junk or even a lot of food or sitting around watching tv!!

Novel, indeed! My mother-in-law and her second husband (RIP) and my father-in-law (RIP), ate the same as your mother and father-in-law. Very active little people. However, my step-father-in-law was an alcoholic so he really only ate dinner and very small amounts, he'd split things like steak with my mother-in-law. She's 66 now and still quite active and has a cute little figure. She eats really healthy 3 times a day, then cuts loose on the weekends. She rarely allows herself to gain more than 7 pounds before doing something about it. I really admire her!

The age 25 thing is so true. From about age 14 to early 20's not only did I eat as I pleased but I would force feed myself trying to gain weight. I counted cals once for a week then cause I was curious and I recorded between 4000 to 5000 cals/day and I weighed 160-lbs at 6'1". I was running track though and my metabolism was through the roof. I usually only ran up to 7 miles/day so wasn't putting in a ton of miles so it was my metabolism (low miles but some very intense stuff). Starting slowly gaining after age 25 though (and started losing my hair).

I think I learned some very bad habits then.

@blambo61, your folks must've had a tremendous food bill! Lolol

My hubby started losing his hair around the same point. Seems as if it's going to happen, it's usually around mid-twenties for men. Although, some lose it earlier. If there isn't a receding hairline by a man's 30s, usually they are good to go.

Darcy's hairline is veeerrrrry slowly receding at the front - he has a mole there that he say used to be covered with hair! (He's 51). I don't think it's ever going to all fall out though.

He's fortunate, lol, I agree that it more than likely won't all fall out. Men who have that in teens and twenties seem screwed. Lol

My parents did have a big food bill, my little brother was about the same! Eating a whole box of cereal in one sitting was a frequent occurrence. God only made a few perfect heads, the rest he covered with hair! ;)

My fiancé is 31 and I don't think his hair will be going any time soon. It's SUPER thick and curly.
