All my girls need to get their sleep back on schedule! I know I know - pot kettle etc LOL - I'm a BEAR when I'm under-rested so I feel your pain :)

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY on down 8.8 already!!! What a great motivation for getting back in! WOOT WOOT!

Would you like to join in our weekly goal? Perhaps you could shoot for 212? That'd be 2.4 this week :) - also how often are you weighing? GIMME DA DETES!!

It does suck butt to be running on empty!

Sure, I'll join in the weekly goal. I'll shoot for 212, my weigh in is on Thursday though. It that okay? I'll add "WG" to my list via edit. Thanks for asking me to join in on the fun. :-)

    **I weigh weekly

    Sandy,
A belated welcome back from a newcomer! I’m clinking my bulletproof coffee mug to yours! Cheers.

8.8 pounds in two weeks is amazing!

Kudos for tracking glucose! A great data point - probably more so than weight.

@mistymeadows2005, I may switch to Friday, will let ya know. lol @jadepearl thanks! :-) @LiLee2018 thank you, Lisa! @volgirl1322 Thank you and me too! Last night my sinuses were draining and I woke at 1am with a cough due to a constant tickle... must be the *kitten* end of my cold but I didn't cough all day yesterday or today, just the wee morning hours and it lasted like two hours. I never did get back to sleep. @asgentr Most definitely more important than the weight! And cheers back atcha with my BPC mug! haha

^^A BLT Spinach salad with a whole avocado, sweet onions, jalapeños, extra sharp cheddar cheese and dressing made from EVOO and raspberry vinegar. My dessert was a couple pieces of my fat bomb I made yesterday, melted down and 3 tbsp of chia seeds were added for thickness so I could dip sections of a whole pear in it. Everything was yum! :-)

Glucose level was 86 this morning, woohoo!

Your thoughts/comments on the day: Woke and stayed awake around 1am with a nagging cough from post nasal drip that lasted two hours. Aside from that, I am in good spirits and have energy (just not a lot). Also had no problem sitting down with my husband while he chowed on a beautiful lasagna I made him. I may have some tomorrow, not sure because I'm planning an extended fast after my final meal and I think I should have a lot of fat instead of being carb overloaded. We shall see :-)

During spring and summer, lots of people here in Down Under have hay fever and sinus. It drives everyone nuts. Both hubby and I had really bad hay fever and no medicine could help us at all. Now that we are in Autumn, voila...no more hay fever but its more about fever, runny nose, cough and flu...:( Our doctors are making so much money...:(
Keep up the good work! :+1: Cheering you on! <3

Thanks @volgirl1322, I drool too when I see food porn if I haven't eaten yet. lol

@jadepearl haha, yay, glad the hay fever season is over for you and your hubby! I have a few over the counter pills I take if my sinuses get super bad, I just didn't take any that day because they weren't bad enough to warrant them. I got some yesterday, but I didn't take any before bed and thankfully I didn't wake with a nagging cough. lol

    Day Before Yesterday's Meal

First and last (this time around) that I will count calories. I just wanted to make sure my intuitive skill for not going low cal are still in place, and they are, yay! I will be sticking to not counting calories because I hate it. Using MFP calculator served its purpose for me at one time, it helped develop what is now intuition, so I'm glad I got to know foods better because of it. I forgot to include the grand total in my pictures, but just doing the math shown... over 2000 calories yesterday and over 1900 the day before.

That's awesome. I hope to get to that point one day. I hate counting calories, but I'm part of a challenge on FB where I have to post it up every day. Plus I just need to do it still to make sure I'm not eating too much.

That is great that you know now, that is a good place to be in especially as you prepare for maintenance. I still count occasionally just to stay on track...but it isn't something I want to do long-term.....

I know them well that I don't need to count, I could eat intuitively and not log but I like having the diary to go back and reference, as well and notice patterns etc.

Sounds NOM NOM and I'm so glad you're getting back into a routine :)

@LiLee2018 and @volgirl1322 and @mistymeadows2005, thanks so much! I think it’s great that you all are counting for various reasons. Whatever it takes, right? :)

This group hasn’t changed a bit and I love it. Everyone is awesome!

Your thoughts/comments on the day: Had a solid six hours of sleep but needed Aleve PM's to do it, I felt great and energetic for the larger part of the day... except my right butt cheek all the way down the center of leg, calves, heel and ball of foot hurt because I exercised today and must've did something wrong. Now I'm feeling tired but I can't get settled for a nap because of my right lower parts. I plan on starting an E/F tomorrow, I'm not sure how long I will go, but will play it day by day :-)

Below: Two chicken thighs with skin wrapped in 2 pieces of bacon each. Mashed cauliflower with butter and half n half, asparagus smothered in olive oil, and dessert was a chocolate avocado pudding made with coconut oil, a medium avocado, and cacao powder topped with walnuts to dip my beautiful strawberries. **This was a "hmm, I wonder" dessert, had I not already been adjusted to not using any sweeteners in anything, I probably would have spit it out. But I loved it :-)

The next couple of days will be super hard for me to get through, but it needs to be done. I've just started what I hope turns out to be, at the very least, a 96 hour fast<< @volgirl1322 Also, I have 6 cigarettes left and while FaceTiming with my sister a few minutes ago, I opened the last pack from my now gone carton, took it to the sink, and destroyed its contents with water--to the point where drying them out won't work to revive them, and threw them in the trash.

I had NO CLUE the last time I did IF that smoking contributes to insulin resistance. I didn't even know until I actually thought to look into it this morning. I was going to quit this weekend anyway, it's just now I have an even bigger reason aside from the other obvious health benefits from quitting.

I realize that it seems crazy to do an EF and quit smoking at the same time, but it's not nearly as crazy as what I've been doing for decades... Trying to lose weight first and then stop smoking or trying to stop smoking first and then lose weight because its NEVER, EVER worked for me. When I had quit for 7 years, I also ballooned to my highest weight ever of 234 pounds. It's the same cycle of craziness that happens with losing weight and then regaining. So I will be killing two birds with one stone this time and I believe this time that once I get to a healthy weight and it's done by not being a smoker, it will be for good. I was able to handle all other stressful events doing IF in 2017 until then, and because I never broke my insulin resistance is it any wonder I regained? Why EF and not IF to try and quit? Because I want the nicotine from my last cigarette to leave my body at a quicker rate, and EF will ensure that happens.

Anyway, there won't be any food posts for at least 4 days (unless I absolutely cannot take it), I will update daily, including later today, on how I'm feeling based on level 1-10 for food and cigarette cravings. I don't honestly see myself having any food issues today, it's day 2 that's the roughest for mind games, and possibly day 3, and where food cravings enter the factor.

TTFN and I'll update again later :-)

WOW you are amazing to tackle both of those at one time. I am SUPER IMPRESSED!!!!! You have the right mind-set to just rip the band aid and get through it. It may suck for a while, but man oh man how happy you will be when you are on the other side.

I am super proud of you for doing it! Sending hugs your way <3<3 for your success!!!!

Way to go Sandy!! You are making the best decision for your health and I am praying that all will go smoothly and you will conquer both smoking and insulin resistance. I like that you are tackling both at the same time because I believe the EF will have a huge impact in freeing your body of nicotine. Kudos to you and I am rooting for you all the way.

Hope nothing but the best for you. I quit smoking years ago and it was brutal for me. Absolutely brutal so I hope it goes easier for you. Just stay strong and always remember that those cravings do eventually get easier to ignore and will go away. You are strong and you CAN do it! Also think about all the money you will save now. Smoking is an expensive habit now! Maybe put that money aside now for a vacation or just something you've wanted.
    You can do it!
