They have the best salad bar, hands down. I often find myself wishing I had their setup in my house. Only thing I don't like is the way they do the broccoli. I preferred the original version better, not that burnt looking thing they have going now.0 -
I know, I was drooling over the salad too... I am in heaven at places that have salad bars (few and far between here in Australia!).1

Sandy, they had both the regular broccoli and the burnt looking thing. I prefer the regular broccoli also.1

Sweet! I wish they'd bring the regular back here as well! Btw, Tracey, why do our medical "professionals" NOT know that it's common for ldl to RISE when losing weight? It's because when fat stores shrink, fat and cholesterol have no where to go except the bloodstream. It's only temporary and will go down when weight stabilizes. Omg!!
Anyway, you can read about here: http://www.livestrong.com/article/500114-can-losing-weight-raise-your-cholesterol-temporarily/

Today turned out to be a splurge day and I really overdid it. No pictures of my meals, but believe me I am super stuffed.1
-
Wow Tracey your meals...yummie and you are reaching your goals that is so awesome!!!! well done!!! there is going to be a big celebration of goals this month hurrey!1

I think we can all relate, Tracey, sometimes our re-feedings lead to going off the wall! And that's okay. Hope you're still having fun on your vacation!0

I am currently dreaming of a splurge day, which probably means I shouldn't indulge just yet. I am sure I heard it somewhere that I should wait until I am at least beyond six weeks into OMAD. 3 down, and 3 to go.0

Do we know if there's a free audio version? I just started listening to the podcast with the interview with Dr. Fung on The Complete Guide to Fasting, and like it so far! I'd love to add Delay, Don't Deny to ma list!0 -

I found I didn't have a splurge day until maybe a month in and I didn't plan it, it just happened naturally...I listened to my body, and didn't feel guilty and lost weight that week! It's turned into that most Sundays I'm pretty lax...it works for me, anyway0 -

Steph, there is a few podcast by Gin Stephens, the author of Delay don't deny. I'm on my phone and having trouble copying and pasting, you can either google or go to Sarah's thread she started, not her journey but another one, regarding OMAD and you'll find the links there.

Oh yeahhhhhhh!!! Thanks for the reminder!1 -
Another splurge day today. I had lunch today at IHOP and Chinese food for dinner. I am not going to sweat it though since I am on vacation anyway. I have my plan for when I return home. We will returning home on Sunday morning. After dinner on Sunday, I will do an extended fast until Tuesday dinner. Tuesday, August 1 will also begin my no meat month. I will be eating Lacto-Ovo vegetarian. My weight was up on the scale yesterday and this morning so I am not going to check it anymore until Monday morning when I am solidly back on plan.
I got a chance to feed a wild deer yesterday. It was pretty cool. here is a picture.

That's unusual I think. They must be fed a lot there! Be careful though, a kick could put a serious hurt on you!0 -
Aw! Sweet picture0

You're the Deer Whisperer, aren't you? When can we tune into your series on the Discovery Channel?
You look great, btw, enjoy your splurges. We will all be here when you get home and get back to your routine.0 -
That's so cool, the only deer I've ever been that close to were at Santa's Village or lying on the ground dead after my Husband or son killed it or sitting on my dinner plate ready to be eaten1
-
Wow awesome picture Tracey! (I love your hair!!!) so cute both of you!0
-
I wanna feed a deeeeeeeeeeeer *whines* LOL - how cool is that! And you're lookin' fabulous! Glad you're having a super time!0
-
Great Pic, that deer looks very trusting. Is it a wildlife refuge?0
-
No it was a wild deer. It comes out everyday and people feed it.1

I actually was going to say that too - you look awesome!!! (I just got totally sidetracked by the whole coolness of the deer feeding thing...)0 -
Thanks everyone. Vacation was a blast and I am back at home and ready to get back to business. I have a picture of my last vacation meal. We went to Benny's Pizza where they make 28" pizzas. The slices are huge and I managed to eat two pieces (went out big). I know I picked up some while on vacation but I am not too concerned because I have the right plan to drop the weight and get back to losing to get to goal. I am also doing a no meat August and my husband has agreed to join me. We may go up to our birthdays in September.
Today I had chinese food for dinner.
I will be doing an extended fast through dinner on Tuesday. I will weigh in the morning and see the full extent of the vacation gain.

Mmmmm, way to end your vacation with a bang! Food looks incredibly good! Best to you and your hubby for no meat August and great that you're getting right back into it after a period of rest from fasting days.0

That pizza looks so good... Even with the meat. I think I may have a slight addiction to pizza lately!!0
