Wow, just realised I hadn't posted since Friday and it's late afternoon on Monday here... Where does the time go?! Slightly lower today, amazingly didn't have my usual weekend gain this weekend (though it could show up tomorrow, ha!).

Ha! That didn't last, I knew a loss over the weekend was WAY too good to be true! Weight gone up over the past few days. Who knows why... I'm sure it will come down again when it's good and ready. So busy at work this week, it's a deadline week. No time to even come on here! Hopefully I'll get everything done by the end of tomorrow and will be back.. :)

Well, my weight is up (actually haven't weighed yet today, be we had a few birthdays over the weekend and I had a fair amount of cake...) but today I am wearing a size 8 LuluLemon tank top that, 2 weeks ago, was obscenely tight around my midsection and I'm confident enough to wear it out to walk the dogs in the park! Woohoo! I haven't fit in this top since 2012. I also wore a Title Nine size 6 dress yesterday (which is definitely cut a little big, but still...) Very happy. (It is ALL about the clothes for me... :) )

    Non Scale Victory!!! :)

Sure is... I've been DYING to fit into those tank tops and perfect timing as it just got super hot here. Next thing I will try is a bunch of skirts. The last time I tried them they fit, but again were definitely not suitable to wear out of the house. I think I'll wait until I'm under 160 to try those though...

Not really sure why my weight is up this week, I guess I ate a fair bit of cake and chocolate and drank a bunch of wine, but lots of that was yesterday and today my weight is down a little from the day before! Who knows... :) Probably payback for actually being down over last weekend. Ha! I also seem to fairly regularly have these rises in weight after I've been going steadily down for a while.

Congrats on the tiny clothes! I like your journey...you're simply staying on track. I read before that sugar can make you retain water as much or more as salt. it's all just part of the journey if we're doing this without taboos. :*

Exactly. If I’m doing it as I want to do it for the rest of my life (aka no restrictions in my eating window and eating until full), I have no control over how my body responds. To be honest, I only have a few more clothes I want to fit into and if I never lose another pound after that I’d be happy. I figure those clothes will fit in about 6 or 7 pounds.

My gain is very slowly reducing...

And one of my project managers wrangled two extra days until Tues COB ET USA for the deadline for one of the projects... Which just prolongs the misery as far as I'm concerned!!! Getting there though...

Oh and the scale doesn't like me working this much! Though I've probably been eating more and for longer than usual, blaming work and christmas parties...

Trendweight says I'm gaining - rude! And you can see almost to the day when I started to get stressed and put in lots of extra hours. Maybe cortisol (or whatever) does really play a role in what one's body does with weight.

Hoping it's all going to drop off over the next week or so once I'm done working so much. Though all the xmas stuff we have to attend in the next couple of weeks isn't going to help - there's no way I'm not eating the christmas pavlova that Darcy's mum makes! I think maybe I should just expect to maintain until after the new year and be happy with that... :)

maintaining sounds like a great plan . I think I've heard that the average weight gain between Thanksgiving and New Years is 7 pounds....so maintaining is usually my goal. Sorry you're so loaded with work but you're almost done! Yay! Whenever I have something stressful in front of me I project myself into the future and picture myself after the stress. Take care :)

Yea, I hope to just maintain also. Lots of chocolate chip pumpkin bread, nuts and other stuff around right now! :# I have two very skinny daughters at home and my wife is in descent shape so they like to make that stuff!

Thanks for the support everybody! Work has finally calmed down a bit, so nice...

But now of course, we are overloaded with social events. Which is fun, but also tiring! Plus it has just got super hot out.

I went out for lunch yesterday with a friend, ended up drinking too much wine and having to get Darcy to Uber into town to pick me and my car up! Oops... My friend is a very bad influence. I was only going to have lunch and skip dinner, but I ended up having both due to the extra wine... It was totally worth it though.

This weekend we are headed to Darcy’s parents’ for Saturday and Sunday and that is bound to be a food and wine fest also. I think the best I can hope to do is to delay eating as long as possible but just go with the flow...

Sounds like you had a great celebration lunch; you earned it! Party time now but...dang all that holiday stuff is def a bit stressful! I still haven't wrapped a thing and I'm still behind on buying any stuff to wrap. Arghhhhhh Hope you have a great time with Darcy and family. happy Holidays :)

Stress at my workplace has been rising and reached a peak at the end of the year. Definitely can be a major distraction from ones mission to stay healthy. I'm off for 2 weeks now and looking to totally let go of it, while recharging. Hope you can do the same while enjoying the holidays.

Sorry guys! I was taking a technology break over the holidays... Back at work now, so back on the PC... :-(

I hope everybody had an AWESOME holiday and a happy new year!!

It was actually really nice being away from the constant chatter of skype, slack, facebook, email etc. :)

We got a big jet ski for Xmas so have been out on that a fair bit too... Super fun and kind of scary!

OMAD wise, I think I did sort of ok over the holidays - I fasted pretty much every day until at least 3pm. I did have two meals most days though. So I guess I didn't really stick to OMAD!! Plus lots of very late nights with drinks...

I even sat at Xmas breakfast and watched everybody pig out. They had this giant meal of bacon and eggs etc etc and I was actually really glad I wasn't having anything (not that I would have had the meat stuff)... It was 38 degreees C (100 F) on Xmas day so hot food really wasn't something that was on my wish list! The frozen chocolate and cocktails later in the day probably didn't help my weight loss efforts though...

I haven't weighed since before Xmas... Though I just noticed that MyFitnessPal thinks I've lost weight, not sure where it's getting THAT data from - I think my friend my have stepped on my scale earlier (that's the problem with these wifi scales, anybody else who steps on your scale gets recorded and you have go in and delete data after the fact)...

Pretty sure I've gained weight, at least a few lbs. All my clothes still fit though, so that's good. Not going to weigh for a few days to let any water weight have a chance to leave the building! Back to proper OMAD today - really looking forward to getting back to a routine. Unfortunately Darcy is still on vacation until the 15th (SO UNFAIR) and it is definitely more of a challenge when he is in the house. Hopefully he will be able to get back into the fasting also, which will make it way easier on me (he's was doing it for a while but has totally lost the plot over the holidays).

Will catch up on everybody's posts over the next few days!
