Hooray on losing a third of the weight! Your new toy sounds fun and I'm sure you'll have many great biking adventures with it :)

WOW! That is such an awesome concept. I swear, people think of everything! I was planning to go bike shopping in August. I am definitely going to look into that trainer, especially since the path to where I'm biking is all flat, and I will want a challenge at some point.

Almost rid of the camping weight - only .4 lbs to go...

I was whining thinking to myself - geez it takes SO long to get rid of, then I realised, it took me 3 days to put on, so I guess it makes sense that it will take me 3 weigh-ins to take off! Doh!

Ha! The bike trainer I use can connect to an app called Zwift, which is kind of like a video game and you can bike around different courses (like London) and it adjusts the resistance on your bike to go up the hills etc. I actually turned around on one ride because there was no way i was trying the hill it was about to send me up at my current (shocking poor) level of fitness.

It's pretty fun, although I haven't passed a single person yet, and everybody is always passing me. A lot a serious cyclists use the app, so they are all pretty much super fit!

Quick drop in - swamped at work.

My prediction was exactly correct - took me 3 days to gain, and has taken 3 days to lose!! Fingers crossed that I can still show a loss for the week... It's Thursday here so weigh-in is tomorrow. And we're going out for dinner... Yikes!

You'll do great at dinner! I find that when I go out and socialize actually end up eating less because I'm busy hanging out plus the food seems so decadent LOL

Also now I kind of wish I had a bike and or an area to ride it because that thing sounds like fun!

Dinner was pretty good - had a veggie burger with fries. And - I didn't even manage to finish it all. I ALWAYS finish it (and sometimes we have nachos first...).

AND, I lost a bit of weight for my Friday official weigh-in:

I think 1.1 lbs for the week - haven't had time to do my loss spread sheet yet... Pesky work, getting in the way of fun stuff!

Well, I have no idea what is going on, but I'm not complaining! I guess my body is finally catching up from those weeks where I was losing so slow and getting a bit frustrated. I guess it pays off to just trust the process!!!

I am making one small change today - I read a book called "Delay, Don't Deny" by Gin Stephens yesterday (quick easy read), and she stresses to not eat/drink anything sweet in the fasting period, i.e. No artificial sweeteners, no milk, cream etc. in coffee, not even any sugar free gum(!). So I am off my beloved Pepsi Max and I just had a black coffee. I think my coffee consumption may drop significantly in the next few days. Not that I drank that much - 1 to 3 cups a day with some soy milk in each. I have been wanting to quit the Pepsi Max for ages mostly because I think it is probably terrible for my teeth...

I am now drinking plain water... Gotta say I really want that Pepsi max though!

in Jason Fung's book, "The Obesity Code" he talks about how some artificial sweeteners can elevate your insulin as much as sugar. If that is the case, then I think it is much better to not drink the stuff. Fat metabolism slows with high insulin and you will therefore get hungry to satisfy the bodies energy needs (the insulin will deplete the sugars in the blood and if fat metabolism is shut down, you won't have ketones to run off of either).

Yeah, I read that book last week. I think I'm feeling less hungry this week when I'm fasting... I'm not 100% sure though - it could just be that I think I should feel less hungry so I feel less hungry - a placebo type effect! But I'm definitely fasting very clean now.

You know I will be getting that book, too, now. I read Delay, Don't Deny last night and absolutely loved it and between that and after getting some really good feedback from members of the IF group the author has, I think I'll be back on OMAD. So funny, because I don't know if @blambo61 knows this or not, but it sounds like he did OMAD like that author. I just didn't know how to work Bob's sound advice into eating more. But, my temporary freak out about not eating enough calories--which I shall keep my mouth shut on from now on--is over. Think I'll open my window later in early evening vs afternoon to late afternoon though. I'll close it when I'm fully satisfied. :-)

Omg so annoying. I just wrote a long answer to your post on my stupid iPad and hit the wrong button and lost it all... Sob...

Will have to write it again tomorrow when I'm at my PC... Don't have the fortitude to do it again on iPad!!

Btw - I commented about the podcasts having info about the calories in and fat burning on your FB post in case you didn't realise that was me!!
