My husband got a buck so my freezer will soon be full of venison :p

Yea!!! I love venison. Do you help him butcher it? :) I do all my own butchering, I'm too cheap to pay someone to do that.

Yes that would be much cheaper but sadly he never learned to butcher and I helped him gut one out once and the smell was horrid so no butchering for me thank you!!! I'll just stick to eating it :p

Easy, knife, cut, done! You don't have to gut either, you can just quarter it and be done with it. Watch some youtube videos, it is easy.

Christmas is so different here in the Southern Hemisphere. It’s the only time I miss snow/cold... It’s always super hot and humid where I live at that time of year so we generally have a bbq with salads etc. You definitely don’t end up eating as much because it’s just too darned hot!

We actually have a camp site by the ocean booked for Xmas, will have to decide when it gets closer, if it looks like it will be sweltering hot we will probably cancel it.

It's usually pretty warm for us, too (mid-70s and above), so we're having a cookout! I would love to do oceanside Christmas camping. That sounds dreamy! Maybe I can convince the boy to go for that next year. If nothing else, I am going to break him down about getting a fire pit for our backyard for warmth after our Christmas cookout. :#

You definitely need to persuade him about the fire pit - we have a fire pit and we use it pretty much every weekend until it gets too hot...

Do you mean how much do I have to lose? If so its 7 pounds because I was 129 last week.

I meant how much is your target maintenance window shifting. As I recalled it was something like 125-128 but I wasn't sure.

Oh...It used to be 125-135 and then I changed it to 125-130 and now it will be 122-130 :)

Thanks Everyone, I'll update you all after this week is over...It's going to be weird NOT having a splurge day because I've had at least 1 every week for over a year!!!

It's interesting because I get the feeling my final weight goal is going to be quite a bit lower than my original weight goal. I kind of think I will end up somewhere lower than any weight I've been in my adult life... I think I was 138 in my early/mid 20's but that probably lasted about 24 hours!

I don't have any splurge days as such (though I do "indulge" on occasion or make my window longer or whatever) so I'm dying to see what happens. I think my body will just get to where it wants to be and then stay there... I'm planning on just keeping on doing the same thing I am now when I get down there anyway as I'm totally content right now and really feel like this is just something I do and feels natural rather than something I have to force...

Sarah I think you'll continue to lose if you keep doing what your doing so when you reach the weight you want you will get to eat more so you don't keep losing...How fun will that be?!?!?! :)

I’m not sure if I will be able to eat more, I eat to fullness every night... I guess might have to have a longer window a few days a week, maybe weekends and have an extra meal... That might be fun!!! :)

Brenda are you still eating reduced calories on your OMAD days?
  • Brendalea69
    Brendalea69 Posts: 3,863 Member
I would estimate anywhere between 500 and 1000 depending on what I'm eating :)

This deficit would depend on how many calories I eat on my feast days, correct? This is assuming I am not exercising. The combination of each day's eating should be equal to my daily calorie allowance times 7 or no more than 11,760 for the week? I just don't want to mess things up for myself.

Say for Monday and Tuesday. Monday is my feast day and I eat 2000 calories so Tuesday for my OMAD meal I should eat around 1360 calories so between the two days it would equal 1680 x 2 or 3,360 calories which is my allowance for two days?

I may be overthinking this, but any advice would be helpful.

I think you figuring it out correctly. Just add the calories for the whole week and what your TDEE is for the whole week and compare. Infinite ways to set it up.

I definitely lose better without splurge days. Earlier when I did OMAD, a splurge day was necessary for me. It isn't so much now. I think as long as it isn't too aggressive, then about anything will work.

Tracey yes thats right and if you exercise you should still lose...I don't count but when I did I would add in my exercise calories so I could eat more :)

My splurge days were aggressive so taking them out for a while should help me to get to my lower goal faster...I'll let you know next week after my first full week without a splurge :)
