@elise4270 - hope your poison ivy is better. I've not had it in 35 years but I get it SO bad. I used to get it every summer and my face would totally swell up to where my eyes were equal to my nose. The last time I had it was when I first moved to FL and it was so bad I missed many days of work and got shots of some type.

@shanaber - saw on Strava you got a run in! Good job! Re: sticky, I wanted to put wheels on his skateboard but it was too busy to cross the street! How is your DD doing? I keep thinking of her.

So... my school is on spring break next week. And then all schools in FL are closed at least until 3/30. Then we see what happens. The teachers have to go in 3/23-27 to plan/prep for virtual teaching (isn't that what we've been doing the last week!?) Anyway, it's all insane as it probably is for all of you as well!

My food choices today were terrible. I brought cookies for my students because I had a thought... what if I never see them again this year?! And they are such great kids! So I stopped at the grocery store on the way to school and arrived there at 7am. I've done this about 2-3 times a school year and since they open at 7 it is usually me and one old man or two in the store. Today it was PACKED! I looked at my clock and questioned was I late for school?!
Nope. They were looking for toilet paper. And someone posted on the NextDoor app, where can I buy TP!

Anyway, I had 3 of the big cookies I brought for my students. At lunch a friend had done the same for her kids and gave me a Krispy Kreme donut. But really, everything else for the day was fine, so maybe it wasn't that bad. The dentist called me in the morning asking if I could come in for my Invisalign. Yes, I can. So I got them! I must say that wasn't all that much fun but they feel pretty good right now. I took them out to eat dinner and guzzled wine (I may have to take up shots of tequila, lol) - just kidding!!!)

Today was a rest day. Tomorrow it is finally a nice day and I'm riding the usual 44 miles. I'm a little nervous about riding that far without any nourishment. Usually I have Ultima drink and I have a snack at the stop (mile 28). But, I figure I am going to eat a lot before we leave the house. And I will eventually get used to it. I will just get dropped if I am too tired. I suppose if I feel absolutely awful I could take out the trays and then eat and just go without the rest of the miles, which wouldn't be that long.

My daughter's BF is in law school in Portland and one of his study group people works with someone who got a confirmed test of the COVID-19. So, that means BF was exposed and he wouldn't have known it when we would have been there on our trip. So it's good we didn't go.

Maybe I will lose the stubborn 4-5 pounds I want to lose with these Invisalign braces.
Oh... also cancelled my trip to see my mom at Easter. And Amsterdam trip was cancelled by the company of course.

@ddmom0811 - I loved Sticky on a skateboard! It is so funny how it really looks like he is just flying along!
DD is doing ok. Tired I think and a little freaked out but trying to hold it all together. She applied for a job with a major healthcare group and hasn't heard back. I told her I am sure they are just trying to stay on top of the employees they have and keeping them all safe right now. These people have been trying to hire her off and on since before she graduated. She didn't want to work for them because she would have to see adults but now she really wants to work for a regular company with a guaranteed paycheck, insurance and time off. It's just a matter of the timing and hopefully they will get back into hiring soon.

If you see this in time you might consider taking your trays out, having your Ultima drink and snack then swish some water in your mouth and putting the trays back in. Then brush your teeth and the trays when you get home. Not perfect but it works. You just don't want the trays to sit with food possibly on your teeth all day or for hours and hours.

@shanaber -hope she hears from them! Thanks for the tip. Good idea with the Ultimata! I will probably try that today. Have not slept well tonight -been up since 3:30– weird, there’s not a thing to worry about! Ha!

Well one thing nice about having poison ivy and the risk of covid-19 is that its afforded me a longer break, my hip is happier with the steroids and seeing @ddmom0811 log cycling time, I want to make a point to get on the bike. Itch is tolerable. I'm out of oral benadryl, but I have slept like I haven't in ages with this chronic pain. I got up at 430, had two cups off coffee, chipped away at a a few papers and went back to bed at 8 and slept 3 hours. I did take the last of the benadryl about 6am.

my bloat weight is down another 2 pounds, which puts me a half pound over the "do something mark". I'm so happy with that. But my clothes are all so tight.
33333<-- beary says hi. he stinks like wet rotten fish (sheba).

    Food
I had 2.5 eggs, flour tortilla and cheese. I cooked the eggs for bear-butt but he was just in a mood to make me do something for him and "meh, i changed my mind". fine. dog eggs then. I think i didn't cook them like he likes, over medium and the were more fried/scrambled. cats.

no headphones yet. man they'd be wonderful to have as i sit on that bike for 30 minutes. guess my old ones will work fine.

    Cannibalistic

    Infected
    Doo doo birds.

IDK. beginning of the end or somethin. no TP. Y2TP? the zombies are coming.

@ddmom0811 Yeah for getting the Invisaligns. Getting used to them might be hard, but you can do it. Hope your daughter and BF don't come down with CoVID19. Sorry you don't get to see your mom at Easter. Hopefully things will calm down and you can visit her soon.

My weight was down another pound today. That puts me at 143. It's been 7 years since I've seen that number and then I was on the way up. I looked back in my records and I was between 135 and 145 from June 2012 to around June of 2013. So, only a year at my ideal weight. My goal is to STAY below 145 this time, for the long haul. I am trying to reach 135 as my goal weight, which will give me a little lee way to play with. I was 135 when I joined the Air Force in 1982. That was their max weight for me at that time. Crazy, I think. I'm pretty sure my actual body size is smaller than I was then, unless the clothing sizes have increased, which is highly possible. I do know that I am overall healthier than I was then, or have been my entire life.

I made apple pie oatmeal for breakfast this morning - from the cookbook Run Fast, Cook Fast, Eat Slow. It was really, really good. Great thing about it is that it makes 4 servings and you can reheat the left overs, so I have 3 more quick yummy breakfasts already made. I've also made their Super Hero muffins. I think they are really good too, but they "taste" healthy. This oatmeal doesn't. LOL

I am proud of myself. Today my Sunday School Class fed a local group of men who provide firewood for the poor in the county....they get together and cut/split wood on Saturdays and deliver it to those in need. We served them BBQ, baked beans, slaw, POTATO CHIPS, and desserts. There were left overs and the other servers ate. I abstained! It was hard, but I did. Of course, one reason is that I am going to an American Cancer Society fundraiser tonight where the dinner is BBQ. I'm going to eat that. LOL We will also be having line dancing lessons. So, hopefully I can work of part of the meal.

@quilteryoyo - great on the weight! I already feel use to the trays in my mouth. Hope the fundraiser and line dancing was fun.

@shanaber - I had planned to follow your suggestion w/ bike ride yesterday but it turned out to be a perfect day for riding! The temps were perfect, no wind and I was fine with just having 3 bottles of water (those are about 24 oz each). Today my DH and I rode on a trail and did 34 miles. So between 44 yesterday and 34 today, my butt is sore!
Hoping to ride this week while I am off.

@elise4270 - are your churches closed? I'm shocked that the Catholic churches are closing and encouraging parishioners not to go! And that the Vatican is not having Holy Week masses!!! I was wondering if the reason the virus spread so fast there is if there are so many Catholics and most of the time they share the cup (well, I assume they do; they do here).

Since I'm home all week and can't really go anywhere I am setting a goal to clean the garage and under my sink in the bathroom. The latter probably sounds like nothing but I seem to have a cosmetics problem, lol. I'm a Diamond Ulta member, if that tells you anything, lol. The former, well, we shall see!
Also want to double on either running/lifting/cycling most days!

Food - ate well yesterday. Today - same so far. I think I'm going to get a Cuban food take out (beans and rice), because I think the restaurants are going to close and I will be sick of eating at home. I've got a Hello Fresh box coming Monday with three meals. Couldn't be better timing - hopefully they don't stop sending them during all this COVID crisis.

@ddmom0811 The line dancing was a lot of fun. Not sure how much exercise I got, but it was fun and I did at least get my Gramin steps in for the day.

@shanaber I can't imagine riding a bike that far. Sometimes I ride a mile or so when I'm in FL with the grandkids and my butt hurts.

@Elise4270 - your musings and figuring out meanings for 'COVID' crack me up! I hope you are able to get out for a bike ride or at least on the stationary bike and that it is pain free or close to it!
@quilteryoyo - I am really going to have to get that cook book. Apple pie oatmeal sounds, well, just lovely! Especially with our cold and rainy mornings.
Oops also, not me cycling! Those bikes make my butt hurt to where I can't walk! Would need to be a recombinant bike for me to ride at all.
@ddmom0811 - so glad your ride worked out so nicely! How are you doing with the Invisaligns?

We have now been told that anyone 65 and above needs to self isolate here. Doesn't affect me but dh was not happy that he isn't even supposed to go out to the store. I told him to go for a walk instead. Maybe it will get him outside and moving a little.
I am going to do some shopping tomorrow if there is anything left. I need to get groceries for our friend Hilde and a few things for us. Dh's birthday is next Sunday so I want to get what I need to bake him a cake and some steaks to grill since we can't go out.

So a TMI ramble/looking for advice. I have been having what I am going to call running induced IBS (no idea if that is a real thing). Every single time I go for a run now I have problems. Assuming I can get to a bathroom, the cramping, etc. usually goes away once I go and then I feel fine and the rest of my my run is great. Typically it hits around mile 3-4. So lately I have been playing around with different foods before I run instead of my usual toast and PB or oatmeal to see if it might help (nope). I have tried the recommendation of not running for 2 hours after eating as well as trying to go without eating anything at all. Nothing seems to help. Not eating left me hungry with no energy in my legs and waiting 2 hours was actually worse and I ended up needing the bathroom twice - once a mile out and then again around mile 4. Anyone have any experience or suggestions?

@shanaber Sorry. I am no help with your IBS issue. It sounds like you have tried everything I would suggest. The only other thing I can possibly think of is the amount of hydration - too much or too little? I don't know. When I finished my 8 miles last weekend I thought I was going to have an accident before I could walk back home. But, once I got here I was fine and couldn't even do anything.

@shanaber Running IBS is a thing. In my experience it was caused by 1) no gallbladder, 2) NSAID's, 3) antidepressants.

It could just be a gut adjustment/upset. Imodium might be a temporary solution. Maybe yogurt, kombucha (live cultures)? or pickles, kraut, kimche, miso (fermented foods)? Are you getting to much fiber or not enough? Or new medications? have you tried adding some electrolytes? potassium is lost with diarrhea, calcium might slow things down, magnesium will get you going...

I just planned on it when it it hit me until i figured it out. was not fun in the porta potty in 90F and i lost a few socks to the emergency duck in the woods. good luck with it.

I didn't get on the bike. I got lazy. Netflix and working through papers and an online class so when we're in full blown make-up mode, I will have fewer assignments.

    Food.
meh. I'm not hungry. I'm still getting all my daily calories though. I anticipate that the steroid hunger will overtake me any second. No night sweats, no crazy cleaning. yet. I do plan on a nap later. I'm up about 4 or 5 AM when boogie bear can stand being people-less no longer and wants a snack.
I'd like to make food plans but nothing sounds good. DH fixed a pizza last night and it was awful. I never dislike pizza.

I should know what the next surgery is this week. I'm trying not to think much about it. I kind of wanna re-do the rod and labral repair. It's familiar with a familiar doc, dh isn't keen on it, remembers how miserable i was. THR is gonna be new doc and irreversible. Sure recovery won't be any easier with it.

@shanaber - I have that too. I go through periods of having it bad and they it goes away for a while. When I am home I run a loop (Sticky's head) 3-4 times which is about 2 miles so that I can run in my house and go. Once I go, I'm fine the rest of the way. I haven't had to stop in the house for a few weeks, so I maybe out of it for the moment, but I can never tell when it will hit me. If I am not running in my neighborhood I try to strategically plan to pass a bathroom that I can use at approx mile 1.5 which is the prime time for me. I'm pretty sure it has to do with what I am eating that causes it, or more likely drinking. I think I am going to start tracking it so I can figure out what it is so I don't eat or drink that prior to a run. Whenever I run a 5K (which is not often since I usually ride bike on weekends), I get up early and run 1-2 miles first so that I won't have to go during a race! It is quite annoying. I run on an empty stomach, though I've tried having a banana prior to a run and it doesn't make a difference.

The Invisalign is going well! I'm finally good at taking in and out. The first day or so, I was awful at it. I feel like I'm going to rip off my thumb nails though. The bottom is really tight (which is the main part I want to fix). I think I've been eating too much at meals, knowing that I won't eat at all until the next meal. For example this morning I added two energy balls to my usual breakfast so it's around 600 calories I think! I was FULL! But I lifted and felt great. Then I realized, shoot, I need to have protein after the workout! So I had a protein shake.

@elise4270- not hungry? Is it all this news that has you losing your appetite? I can understand it. Thanks for the suggestions to @shanaber about the running IBS.

Also, @shanaber -I hope your DH does go for a walk. I want to start a national movement that everyone goes for walks that is stuck at home! It would be good for mental and physical health and everyone just gives the sign of peace from a distance! I just don't know how I start that movement, LOL.

I'm banning news today. Last night I was working on getting rid of all that cosmetic stuff, and I was listening to the news from the bedroom and I started feeling like I was having a panic attack. I've never had one, but I imagine that was what it would be. So I got out Spotify and looked for something different to play. Ended up with Linda Rondstadt play list (haven't heard her in forever!) I was blasting it and singing along and then this morning I lifted weights to the same playlist. I particularly enjoyed Poor Poor Pitiful Me! (I don't feel that way, but I just like the words and music). I'll probably win a Spotify awards for being a Rondstadt top listener like I did for Taylor Swift, lol. I'm sure not many people listen to her anymore! Thought about calling my PCP and asking for something, but I think I can work it out. I've never been on any antidepressants or anxiety pills in my life! But between the election, the markets (DH is a financial planner), the virus, and the stress of worrying about family, school ... it was hitting me hard last night.

Food - um, why. we are here! LOL As I said I'm eating too much at meals as I am figuring out how to eat with Invisalign. But the good news is - I am not snacking! What I REALLY miss is hot tea. Usually I have 2 in the morning and then 2 during the day over many hours. I am drinking tons of water anyway. My Hello Fresh delivery comes today but I think we will eat left over Indian and other stuff and then I'll make those over the next 3 days. I'm adding a meal to next week's order.

Yesterday on the bike ride along the trail 2 of the 3 Porta potties had no TP. They ALWAYS have TP. I guess some people stole it. Sigh.

@ddmom0811 I think its the steroids that got my appetite, just funny because the usual complaint is the insatiable snacking.

My doc called. Appointment canceled due to virus... well. not really surprised there. Guess I'll find out mid April or later. lordy what a mess that must be at the hospitals with all the non-emergent surgeries and procedures being canceled. I may not get in for some time with all this. Enjoy the vacations (at home)!

Had a really great (short) run this morning. I had no expectations as it was my 4th day in a row running. Afterwards I was not hungry at all. I needed to get out and run errands and wanted to get out somewhat early.
What a mess... Pet store and Target weren't too bad but Trader Joe's and the grocery store were zoos. I could tell just by the parking lots before I ever went in. Once in the store it was not clear to me what people were buying because the shelves were pretty much empty. I wanted to get frozen meals at TJs for Hilde and the entire freezer section was empty, everything gone. At the grocery I wanted to get milk, cottage cheese, sour cream, and was able to find all of those, just not our normal ones (so 2% milk instead of 1%) but all canned foods were gone, baked beans, any kind of beans actually, all the soups, canned fruit and veggies all gone. Oh and no bread at all - nothing. Even in produce there were a few bananas but all the potatoes, onions and most of the tomatoes were gone. I just find it so bizarre. Not sure whet people are thinking.
The cashier at TJs told me to come 1st thing in the morning, they restock everything and people flood in and buy it all up. He also said to expect to wait in line. grocery store cashier said they are supposed to get a shipment tonight but wasn't sure it would even come in. Same idea come early wait in line to get in.
Oh I also needed to buy some things to make dh a cake for his birthday. Flour and sugar and cocoa, etc. Found the cocoa. Everything else was gone.

So I bought cookies at TJs and stress ate some of those. Wasn't terrible as they are tiny cookies and I still needed to go to the grocery so no time to eat too many. I also had a Perfect Snacks with me and had that instead of more cookies.

I hope you all are not having issues getting your groceries. Wish me luck in the morning I think it is going to be crazy again.

I’m waiting until Wednesday which is Kroger’s usual stocking day, and going at opening. We don’t have bread or eggs at this point. They had no bread of any kind. I have a box of cornbread mix but it calls for eggs! We won’t die but our food might get real weird if this continues. We are also going to run out of paper towels and dishwashing detergent.

@shanaber - oh my gosh! I can't believe it was that empty. (I mean I believe you, of course, just that it's so empty!) People in my neighborhood are posting on the NextDoor site about needing toilet paper and others are offering to share a few rolls. Good luck tomorrow!

@rheddmobile - wow, this is all just crazy!

@elise4270 - that is odd you aren't hungry with the steroids, opposite of everyone else. Sorry about the appt, but it does make sense.

MIL called with a list of items she needs. Mainly fruit, which I imagine will be hard to find.
    Hang in there!

Boy what a mess. I can’t imagine how bad it is in Spain and Italy, saw the military stepping in? Our store closes til 6am I think. If I’m up, I may make a mad dash for ... idk. More pet food?

Dh went to get tp. We have some but I guess it’s gotten in his head we need MORE! there’s none. I suggested amazon. He said they have none either. But I did look and it appears to be available. Idk. Horrible mess. They closed the casinos as of tomorrow. Yikes! What? Major public health scare and “lets got to the casino”? Haha! Ya. Close. Thank you.

I did not see this coming.

Yah - everything here is closing. My gym is closed going forward. Its ok, I wasn't planning to go for a while. Hilde told me she was glad we went to the winery on Wednesday because she wouldn't want me to run out of wine 😂 now that they are all closed too.
@ddmom0811 - I was completely in shock at the stores. I don't know what I was expecting but not that level of... bareness..
They had a story tonight on the local news about a store allowing seniors to go into shop an hour before it opens. This was one store in a chain but they are as of tomorrow morning doing that at all their stores. I don't qualify but I am taking dh with me so maybe we can get some of the things Hilde needs/wants and I can get some potatoes, flour and sugar for dh's birthday.

Ohh I found to online with a Walmart order. And eggs and coffee. Ya! We’ll see come 1pm tomorrow if it’s a lie.

It’s been so dreary here. I love the rain but it’s kinda added to the doom and gloom. I’m tired. I think it’s coming off the prednisone, stomach upset, and I hadn’t realized how much relief I had from the steroids. The hip, knee and all are back to being grumpy. I just wanna nap.

I am relieved over the tp find. Dh politely mentioned how dd and I are home all day using it... like, don’t... ?? Haha. I have not rationed my usage. I kinda wanna go walk now. But may just try the bike on the trainer and or violin.

Y’all I’m jealous of the wine! I can’t drink it, sure would be nice though!

Dh said that a coworker has to go to California to get her parents because there is no food available. But, with the stores allowing seniors to shop early, I hope that solves some of this for folks. I’m sure this situation is hard on younger families with less resources, limited income and kids. I hope the food programs can help make up some of the shortages.

    Food
3 Baked tostadas with beans, cheese, jalapeños, and a bit of fajita meat.
    Coffee and cream
Hopefully that’ll hold me for the day since I’m just laying around wondering why I have no motivation.

    And neither here nor there.
I need 1 credit hour next semester to keep full time. I talk to my advisor next week (I think). The schedule isn’t even out yet, so I don’t know what’s offered. I might be able to talk my violin instructor into 2 hours instead of 1, I might ought to get with it then. I looked at a second language, Spanish and French conflict with classes I have to have, based on last years schedule. No German. There is Russian, but, ugh I think I don’t wanna work that hard! thought maybe drawing, painting, computer programming, web design... any ideas? Easy, fun and interesting? A classmate suggested psychology. I might like anthropology if it’s offered... I applied for scholarships so, if I get any I need the one more hour. You have any classes that you really loved?

If anyone isn't feeling stressed or anxious right now, I need whatever they are taking!

I do know that if I was to start overeating and gain weight, I would be even more upset. So I am trying to watch my intake without being a nutcase and I am exercising more. I'm so thankful that I love exercising now. And for my home gym. I think I am going to make a written list of the things I am worrying about and maybe that will help me realize that there is nothing I can do to change those things. Helping others is one way to feel better. Helping them remotely I suppose!

I decided to buy the salad ingredients I usually have for lunch and made salads for the week like I usually do for school, so I'll be eating the same lunch while home. And I had my usual breakfast too. I did eat a few cookies after lunch, but just 3. If it was 7 years ago, I'd have had 10 or more! Got the Hello Fresh delivery yesterday so making one of those meals tonight.

By the way, I hope I don't sound like I'm bragging about my home gym. It's quite tiny (10x11) and not extensive, but for me it is perfect. I have 2 weight benches, one flat, one that goes up and down. I have dumbbells and barbell weights, some are 30+ years old from my husband! One of those big balls, and a few little gadgets (ab roller, etc.)

There are plenty of "body weight" exercises you can do at home, to do if you can't go to the gym. Start a plank challenge, or a crunch, squat, whatever you want challenge. In fact, I may pick a challenge to do myself. Just for something to keep my mind off everything.

@ddmom0811 I'm not really stressed over it. I do wonder where we'll be in 3 weeks. Is it going to get better or worse? We have some supplies. But honestly if I have a bed, pet food, running water and something to eat daily it's probably better than anything others went through in the depression or Nazi camps or any other of those atrocities. The not know how to prepare for next month bothers me and the high number of cases in other countries.

I'm trusting the medical community to reign this in and get vaccines and identify effective treatment. There are some great minds out there.

I'm a little purtubed about my internet cutting out a few times today. That may send me over the edge not having Netflix or Hulu. But I have books I could read and a violin, and the bike.

Wish I had the answer to how to handle the unprecedented situation. Maybe we go to a virtual existence indefinitely.

We went early to the Senior opening of the store near us. Honestly it was a market I have never been into and I was impressed with how nice it was. They let us in initially in a group of about 40 or so and then when someone came out others could go in. Also they checked ages before letting anyone in the store. Glad I took dh with me, otherwise I think they would have sent me away (had to be 65). No TP but I didn't really need it. I did find bread, pasta, sugar, flour and onions but no potatoes. After dropping dh at home I headed to Trader Joe's to be there when it opened. As the cashier had warned there was a line but not too long at that point (30 mins before opening). By the time the store opened the line was 150-200 deep. Again they let us in only a few at a time and the manager explained to everyone the limits on some items, like only 1 case of water. Not a case of each type or flavor or ? I can honestly say I was shocked to see the freezers and shelves all refilled after being completely empty yesterday afternoon. I got all the different frozen meals (2 of each) for Hilde and some lasagna and Trader Mings Chinese for us. Oh and they had potatoes! I was pretty excited to find it all. So maybe @elise4270 tell the coworker to have his parents try shopping when the store opens and be there early.
I am not planning anymore shopping trips for a while now although I would like to go to the Sees candy store and get dd a special chocolate egg but we'll see.

@ddmom0811 - That's a great idea to keep to your meal plan the way you were when you were going into work! I wish I had more of a home gym. I have an adjustable weight set but yo end up with just one dumbbell so it makes a lot of the exercises unworkable. I also wish I had a weight bench. I do have a 20lb kettle bell and have made a full workout around it with some bodyweight exercise thrown in too. I was doing a plank challenge for a while and I really want to get back to it. I think I will make a schedule and have a time slot just like when I was going to the gym.

@elise4270 - one of my favorite, non required classes was an art history class. It may have been the professor though. He did a great job tying art, architecture and music from the different periods all together. He would do slide shows from places he had been, museums, etc. as well as play music on the piano or a recording. It was a fabulous class.
I liked psychology but it wasn't easy. What about an ethics class or philosophy?

@shanaber I had 1 art history, 1 modern art, and 1 music history already. I did like them. There maybe others offered at the upper division level.
I told dh about the early visits for seniors for his co-worker.

I'm glad you found some needed items!

Well. My Walmart order was fulfilled and no tp. So we’re going to play this “order it daily” until it is actually filled. No hurry here, yet. Butt... 8 rolls and counting.

I’m starving this am. I may give in to a waffle, egg, bacon and perhaps some homemade white gravy. But am still so tired. 2 more days of steroids and hopefully I can get back to not resting due to pain rather than steroids. I’m hot and dh is cold.

Dd has high blood pressure and smokes. She doesn’t see how she’s at an increase risk and she’s off visiting friends a few times a day. Sure, I get youth and I’m invincible. A respiratory distress episode is not my idea of going peacefully or an experience worth having. Figure she’d get least that.

So. My plan is to keep the house open a bit, since it’s nice, let any viruses out and do daily laundry, floors, and clean dishes. But she’s been hitting braums a lot so there are not many shared dishes. Still. Unnecessary risk.

It looks like today may actually dry out. Be nice to get out for a bit later, other than the Walmart pick up. My yard has clover and weed patches 2 feet tall. Be nice to mow but that’s not happening with it still so wet. I have a dum dum cat that’s congested, probably allergies but he’s old and always takes ill easily. So, maybe a vet visit too.

    Enjoy your day.

I didn't have a chance to read what everyone has posted the last few days. Monday we went to Organ Pipe NP and had no service (it was a nice break) and yesterday was CRAZY at work.

I'm teleworking for the foreseeable future. So I've decided I need to start logging food. Again. Ugh. Im so bad at logging lately. Doggo will be happy to get walks at 10 and 2. Trying to stick close to work schedule. This week is our normal schedule and next week we go 8-5 so I'll run the dog before work.

@elise4270 - sorry they didn't fill the TP. Love your attitude on the virus though, this is scary, but nothing like a war. Gosh, that's scary that your daughter has high BP and smokes. But young people don't feel it's a threat and I get it too.

I did a 30 mile bike ride this morning on a trail. There were a few cyclists. I heard on BBC that in Italy the people can't even run! I just assumed if you were in a shelter in place area, that you could walk or run alone! Going to lift now.

So far in FL, they extended the virtual learning through April 15. But I bet it's the rest of the year. Feel bad for the seniors. I'm glad I teach high school - seems easier to handle that younger ages. I don't know how elementary teachers do it in person!

    Oatmeal for breakfast. (a change!)
Same salad lunch and only 1 cookie, but a few peanut M&Ms.
Another Hello Fresh meal tonight. We had a really good one last night (zucchini, tomato, cheese, flat bread).

Had a bad food day today, but for a good reason. I met my two youngest granddaughters, with their other grandma and PopPop, at IHOP as they were passing through on their way to VA. I had looked at the IHOP menu last night and the only thing that was remotely "low" in sodium and calories would have been to get a pork chop, broccoli, and either a backed potato or mashed red potatoes. I had intended to get that until I was on my way. I had had a crazy morning at daycare and just wasn't in the mood to be healthy, so I got a cheeseburger and fries instead. Over 2000 mg of sodium!! Geeze. My calories are already at the max and I haven't had dinner yet. I would just skip it, but I'm hungry. I'll try to have something relatively light - probably cereal with strawberries.

I'm glad I got to see them. My next trip down to FL is in May. I'm hoping the CoVID-19 scare is over by then, but am bracing myself to have to cancel it this time. Zaylin will be very disappointed if I can't make it to her birthday party. Oh well, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. There are many to cross before I get to that one.

@RunsOnEspresso Sounds like you had a really nice trip. Sometimes you just need to unplug.

@RunsOnEspresso - That sounds like a perfect thing to do and Organ Pipe is beautiful. We are contemplating just some drives to see wild flowers or the countryside. If we could we would go up in the mountains to play in the snow but everything is pretty much closed now. They have had more than a 1.5 foot this week and are expecting possibly another foot or more from the next storm coming in and there is yet another storm in the waiting for Sunday into Monday.
@elise4270 - I sometimes think that our kids just don't see themselves and the danger they put themselves in and like @ddmom0811 said they think it isn't going to be a problem for them.
As far as TP is concerned I saw this on FB this morning and about spit my coffee across the room. Note: it may not be for everyone but I think it is hilarious.
An alternative to toilet paper with benefits 😂

@ddmom0811 - on the running thread one of the ladies in Spain I think was saying they can't go outside at all without permission and a specific reason (grocery shopping, doctor, medicine, etc.). They even had the military in the streets making announcements and telling everyone to stay inside.

@quilteryoyo - I am glad you got to see your granddaughters but I am amazed the restaurant is still open for people to come in and eat. All of ours are strictly takeout only now. Even all the Starbucks have taken all the seating away and encourage people to go through drive through. Also surprised your daycare is still open. Those have all closed here too.

I had an appointment today to get my hair color done. I have gone to this lady for years. When her husband was on hospice (cancer) at home she moved to working with a small number of clients at her home. She is also immune compromised with chemo drugs so is very careful and not going into her office (she runs her husband's business) at all anymore and just seeing a few clients for hair. I was kind of surprised she was still taking us but I asked her if I could bring DH because his barber is closed. She colored my hair and cut his and we both look great if I may say so. Her next client came in literally with a can of disinfectant spray and proceeded to spray every chair and surface. I was appalled, I mean seriously if she was that worried she should have stayed home.

Food - I have done ok today. My usual yogurt and granola for breakfast and I have been adding in hemp seed which I really like. I am thinking I might just add it into my granola when I make it next time but I am not sure if the hemp seed can be cooked or if it loses the nutritional value or if the taste would change.
Dh is going to order pizza and salad for dinner. I am not sure what I will do. Probably have some of the salad and maybe get a veggie flatbread pizza.

@quilteryoyo Aww ya can't pass up indulgent food with loved ones. Something kind of instinctual about that. Good filling meal and loved ones. Especially with the virus and uncertainty.

    Food.
I over ate. But I don't care. I had eggs, bacon and the "weird" little purple potatoes DD won't eat.
Then half a box of triscuts with squirt cheese and jalapenos. Mmm. And Netflix.
Turned on the AC and fell asleep after taking dum dum to the vet. He's been good today and he's been using the box like a normal cat for 4 months now. I could ease up on him. He's sitting on me happy and thankful that he feels better now after steroids and antibiotics, no doubt trying to repay me 108$ in slobber purr.
Respiratory virus and bacterial eye infection.

The vet thought this all will blow over and we're just all gonna have to get exposed and develop heard immunity. I get it. Just scary that it could cost a million or so lives. Hopefully not and we'll have trucks rolling in any day from the Red Cross with mass vaccines world wide. One can hope, right?

I'm tickled church is cancelled. I really hate doing the sacristan duties. I don't know I get picked for it and no one asks. Just strong armed and sure, I'll help. But can anyone ask? And the comments about how surgery keeps me from doing it other times, absolutely uncalled for. I feel bullied. DH talked about changing churches over it. I hadn't realized how much it affected me til I was off the hook. Guess i can just be a jerk next time they don't "ask".

I plan on a walk tomorrow. Leave some triscut calories elsewhere than my flabby arm pits. Why arm pits body? Why there? I could use a butt ya know?

Lol! Love Kermit @shanaber! I shouldn't have thrown the 4 away I keep finding in the laundry floor! Presoftened.

@shanaber I was kind-of worried the restaurant would be closed too, but they were open. We were there at 11 am and there were only us and 2 more tables occupied - separated by a great distance. I was impressed with the precautions they were taking. They gave us little containers of all the condiments and salt and pepper instead of having the containers on the tables. Also, when a customer left, they immediately went over and sprayed the table and cleaned it really well. I'm betting the spray was bleach water. Anyway, I felt really safe eating there. My family had gotten gas before they went in and said the workers were out spraying the gas pumps with disinfectant. So, I think if they are open, they are being really cautious.

As for the daycare, we have no plans to close at the moment. We are taking extra precautions, which was part of the craziness of the morning. They decided late yesterday that the parents can no longer come into the room and they should bring extra "indoor" shoes for the kids so they aren't tracking in germs. But, not everyone got the memo, including me, and it is a real pain to do the shoe exchange. We may go to a "wipe the bottom of the shoes with a disinfectant wipe" or spray disinfectant on them. This is what I hope. Then if they didn't bring extra ones, they will still have on shoes in case of an emergency exit (today they just went shoeless in the class.) We also wiped all toys and surfaces with Clorox/Lysol wipes while they were napping. Having said that, I am expecting them to close at some point, but it will probably have to come from state licensing. Since I am a sub and can say "no" to work, I'm trying to decide how much I want to do, if any. I have already committed to some days, so will do those. Just have to decide about others. While I feel I am healthy and in good shape, I am officially in the high risk category for age and high blood pressure. I'm also assuming that my heart murmur and aneurysm add to that risk. And, my mom and dad are definitely high risk. I'd hate to carry anything to them. What to do?

I had seen that meme before. It is hilarious!
