@rheddmobile I too hope people learn to be less liberal with their germs. My husband is a nail bitter, he hates it when I ask him if he's enjoying his covid / pinworm snack.

We're trying to decrease his risk, well I am, by washing the bedding every 2-3 days..so some good has come of it here.

Off topic (which is on topic here 😄) I bought some cheep larger bras from Walmart! Yay! Happy boobs! Walmart this evening has so many people! I blame the Trump money. And here, Friday select business can start to open-ish. Ugh, there goes my peaceful world with everyone at home and Soon they'll all wanna chit chat and shake hands again.... *Cough cough* do I feel feverish to you?
For a short time, introverts ruled the world. (In their own bubbles/worlds).

Well we had fun on the Zoom call. Dh and I finished a bottle of wine and neither of us were hungry for dinner... He had cereal, I made nachos and then had a small serving of ice cream. Logged it all and was still ok, carbs are high of course and protein low. A little higher than I like but only a bit over 200 calories over my base. I don't typically eat back my exercise calories although I did run 7 miles today so probably ok to eat back some.

Tomorrow the plan is to get up early to run before it gets so ungodly hot and then we are grilling burgers again.

Ohh - @Avidkeo this is the protein powder I use (I also really like the chocolate one). I am sure they don't have it in NZ but you could find something similar that you like. I tried several before I found one that didn't have a weird taste or after taste.
I use regular (1%) milk if any at all. I don't really like milk in my coffee but sometimes it just makes it taste richer or something with the protein powder. I will never ever use/drink powdered milk. It was pretty much what we had as a kid and I can't stand the stuff. Not sure why we had it other than that my brothers drank huge amounts of milk and it was cheaper. We lived in farm country and fresh milk was available.

Interesting! I have a protein powder I don't mind in chocolate and vanilla. Might try one tomorrow morning!

We rarely use milk powder here, we are a nation of dairy cows.

You know I never knew what the whole 1%, half and half means with milk. We have standard (blue top), semi - skimmed (light blue), skimmed (green top) and farmhouse (silver - full fat). Going to have to google it now haha

@rheddmobile I too hope that maybe one good thing that comes from this is that people will better understand how their coughing and sneezing in public affects others and will be at least a little more considerate and mindful. I have noticed that when I am in the stores, I've only heard one person cough or sneeze and he had a cloth he held over his mouth when he did...not a mask, but he was trying. Bless his heart. And, maybe the schools will quit being so darn strict about days missed and let the kids stay home when they are sick! Thanks for the mask info. @Avidkeo too.

Powdered milk is illegal in Wisconsin. JK but margarine was for a while. People used to drive to other states to buy it.

Whole, 1%, etc has to do with the amount of milkfat. They are color coordinated. So red top is whole milk. Blue is 2% (I think?). Skim is pink.

Half and half is milk and cream.

(I swear I did not grow up on a farm. You are just born with this knowledge as a Wisconsinite)

(Although I did drink milk straight from a cow once while at a friend's farm. That was the most disgusting thing I've ever tried)

HA! gross! I kept milk out of my diet from the time DD was born until we went to Hawaii (24 years), and i found that cream in coffee was amazing. I think my body is back to being less lactose intolerant finally.

    Powdered milk.
You know nowadays that stuff is expensive? er, seemed to be last I noticed it. I remember as a kid having it with cereal. It was like white water. No idea why that was a thing for a while. A poor family freebie maybe, like the government cheese everyone talks about.

    food today & plans
    coffee & cream
there's a roast in the freezer i can make with standard veggies. or I set chicken breast out in the fridge yesterday that I can turn into a soup before it's 100 degrees here.
@bearly63 I'm going to add the veggies to the shopping list!

The electric dog fence has a break somewhere, somewhere I didn't bury it cuz its around 2 acres and just strung it in the back trees. I hope its a simple find... I gotta hunt that break down today before my dogs figure it out and playfully roll the poor little Westie (doggie drive-by), that runs with a neighbor woman, or chase the UPS truck.

I slept better, shoulder was less grumpy. I have a bit of a headache again. It's humid and DH opened the bedroom window for the cats. He's finally gone to work, in the cat office. So, I'll shut it. Sure It's a headache due to allergies and humidity.

    weight.
smidge down today. Surprising since I had rice and halo top yesterday.

I should go study, fix dog fence, meal prep, or kill zombies. oh, I have a cocker/ collie mix that is in desperate need of a doggie-do update. She needs shaved and she hates it.

@Elise4270 Glad to see the weight going down a little. Good luck fixing the dog fence. Hope your headache gets better.

When my mom was little, she said the only way she would drink milk was straight from the cow. She would go out into the field with her cup and milk directly into it when she wanted some. I think it sounds really gross too and wouldn't want to try it.

I'm not a massive fan of warm milk, so straight from the teat sounds revolting!

So I googled it. Our standard milk is 3.2% fat, the lite one (light blue) is 1.3 - 1.4% fat, skim (green top) is 0.15% fat.

Turns out the silver top one just has a layer of cream on top, but is the same as the standard as far as fat content - so probably half and half? It's been partly homogyned and cream added back in.

I attempted a protein coffee this morning but think I did it wrong haha. The first one I just added protein powder then hot water, it just turned into a lumpy mess. The second batch I hydrated the powder first, and that was better but I still ended up with lots of lumps.

Then I remembered I was running a HM distance today, and the rule is nothing new in race day haha so gave up and had a regular coffee. Oh well was a fun experiment.

Saturday today so weigh in today, 64.9! Down from 66.7 last Saturday. Finally lost all the water weight and only 0.5kg or 1lb above my lowest. So 10 days to drop that 3 day binge. Ouch. But nice to see that consistency really pays off.

So have changed my goal to only 0.5lb loss a week because of training. And honestly because I'm so close to goal, it's appropriate. But mentally that's hard! Stuck to that yesterday, and will see how it goes.

what??? and I thought my dog was an kitten! haha! No wonder he's so happy to see him.
    fence.
We had storms and it seem the run off into the ravine pulled the wire apart. so I managed to bury most of it, steak some t- posts for DH to drive and I'll bridge it above rather than through the mess of brush I toss into it.

    blah-blah
no school work, yet. I spent too long digging, burying and visiting my outside cat that hates Beary enough to live in the shed. Now that hes older, he is je-al-o-us of her and chases her back to the shed. And if he smells her on me, oh man am I in trouble. He has to lick her smell off me. I think if she'd stand up to him rather than giving chase, she'd see that he just wants to play. So now he's officially to old/jealous/territorial to have a younger playmate. He was suppose to be the playmate to Noodle-cat (the shed dweller). I seriously misjudged that. The fat Beanie cat plays with him a bit though. And he's got DH trained to play by romping up to the cat shelves, waiting for dh to throw him the string, monkey, rat, or squirrel.

@quilteryoyo I suppose when you grow up with fresh cow milk its no big deal. W had chickens when the kids were little-ish, and it took my kids a long while to be okay eating the eggs. DD still prefers store bought eggs to "poop eggs".

@RunsOnEspresso - I absolutely agree on the straight from the cow. Yuck!
Also @quilteryoyo - my mom said the same thing. She grew up in LA (no cows) but married a farmer initially and moved to Fresno (pretty much all cows). She loved getting warm milk straight from the cow. Again Yuck!

Hobbes has never had the opportunity to chase the UPS truck. He hates it when they drive into our cup-de-sac and barks when they come to our house but if we are outside he is all Mr. Social, tail wagging, I want to visit with the UPS driver! I am going to have to check out that Facebook page!

@avidkeo - I put my protein powder directly in my coffee. It does mix well the hotter the coffee is but this one in particular just mixes well. Others I have had make horrible lumps.

@elise4270 - our pets' personalities are so interesting. Do your dogs come in the house too or are they outdoor dogs? We had outdoor dogs for years, they stayed in the yard while we were at work but would come in in the evenings then go outside to sleep. Hobbes is only the 2nd dog that we have had who is truly an indoor dog. DD had chickens for a long time in Seattle raising them from chicks. They were cute and I was shocked at how much personality they had. She kept them for a while beyond their laying time and then gave them to a friend who had a farm. The next group weren't nearly as interesting and at the new house they had problems with raccoons attacking them so she got rid of all of them. The eggs were delicious though and she made enough selling the eggs to more than pay for the chicken feed.

Food - trying to be consistent and keep to my macros. Burgers and salad for dinner tonight!

Chickens make interesting pets! They are funny. I’d turn the dirt so they could eat worms, wow! Definition of zealous!

The dogs are outdoor. Male/female, father/daughter. The plan is to bring the female in if/when the male dies. I wanted her to be an indoor dog, but once she found the dogs outside, no way! She’d need worked with for indoor behavior. She does the submissive piddling. She’s 9... wow.. seems like she’s still a baby. Sweetest pup ever. I thought about taking her to the park regularly, but we lost her mom and another dog to heart worms. She tested positive for them so Dh and I opted to self treat in hopes of it not killing her. Which seemed to work, she’s heart worm negative for the last few years. Same with the male. So, I don’t know what kind of heart damage there might be, and I don’t wanna take her out for all the excitement and anxiety. She’s happy barking at the wind at home.

I wouldn’t mind the right indoor dog. We had one German Shepard mix that refused to an outdoor or backyard dog. Best stubborn house dog ever. Anyway, it have to be a big shorthair dog. My votes been a Doberman. Of course I love the wolfhounds too. So... but dh says no. I get it. 4 cats and 2 dogs. They are expensive. Bear would “love” a little dog I’m sure.

She may not like being inside if she has spent most of her life outside. At least our dogs didn't. They'd come in for a while and then want to go back out.
We had a big (125lb!) German Shepard that my husband picked out after our house was broken into. Worst.guard.dog.ever. She would bark and then proceed to lick you to death. She would also ever so gently take your hand and lead you around the back yard. I figured it was kind of like showing someone around your house. That was the same time that dd decided she wanted her own dog and saw a Lakeland terrier on an AKC show. We found a breeder who had 2 9mo pups that weren't show quality and she got one of them. It was hilarious to see this huge Shepard romping and chasing and being chased around by a 15lb Lakeland.

OMG @shanaber our German Shepard mix did the same thing. He'd being the kids home from school by meeting them at the corner. He was so happy to bring then home. He wasn't much of a guard dog either. Loved to chase squirrels, and was terrified of storms. He had such a personality. He'd say "I love you" and "hello". Best dumb dog ever.

This old male cat we have bonded with him, they were pals. When you pulled in, the dog would run out to meet you, the cat does it too. And the cat would even go to the corner to walk the kids home from school too.

To get in on the dog discussion, I got Tippy from the shelter 7 years ago. We aren't sure, but think she has German Shepherd and Australian Shepherd in her. I intended for her to be an outside dog. I live in a rural area, so no fences are required and no leash laws. I did put her in a crate in the garage at night. That lasted almost a year and then my trainer boarded her for me while I went to FL and told me she let her in her house and she was perfect - no destruction and asked to go outside every time she needed to potty. It took me a couple more months of waffling back and forth, but finally let her inside. She has been perfect. No accidents, no destruction - even though I never dog proofed the house. Now, she comes and goes as she pleases. She's inside more in the summer because she hates the heat and loves the AC. She does always sleep inside. She's very smart, or at least I think so. Once, when she had an upset tummy, she slept right beside my bed, she normally sleeps in the living room, and would wake me up when she had to throw up so I could take her outside. I thought that was pretty darn smart for a dog. She's a little bigger than I was hoping for - 65 pounds, and sheds.a.lot. But I wouldn't have her any other way.

Protein coffee: when I used powder I whisked it in a little coffee and when it was smooth poured the rest in.

Other times I've used the premeir protein shakes from Costco. They are already to go so you don't have to mix. It's like using creamer and one shake would last several days.

I went over calories yesterday. But then I looked at MFP's little nutrition graph and I'm about on target for the week.

Still struggling a bit to get into a workout routine. Been doing good with weights this week but not running. It's like I can only do one or the other.

With the heat I need to start going out early Mon/Wed. Just 2 days. Why can't I do that? Ugh

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I am officially below 140 pounds this morning! I'm at 139.2 and have been in the 139's for the last three days. I know how my weight goes, so next week may be a little bit higher, but I'm trending downward, so am happy. Only 4 more pounds to go and I'll be at my goal weight.

    Good morning all:

@RunsOnEspresso I love that Instagram acct. Cutest pups! I have heard of cow tipping but not cow sipping! Yuck! I have both Premier Protein and Iconic shakes....pretty good. I should add some to my coffee.

@elise4270 Glad you're getting some more veggies....so easy to roast up and have for any meal. Your pets sounds fun! They are entertaining. I have always thought it would be nice to have chickens but I am lazy. Our neighbors had them (illegally in a typical planned neighborhood) but she always had some fresh eggs for me which was nice.

@shanaber - looked up that breed - cute! I have Vega and Iconic protein powder but they both do have that weird after taste....might have to try yours.

@quilteryoyo Your dog sounds cute! Congrats on your weight loss! That is fantastic.

@avidkeo Congrats on the weight loss...You have so much more self control than I!

My DD keeps saying its time for a pup. I am not ready...we are supposed to be empty nesting (haha....joke is on us as they are both back) and hope to travel a little....someday after the damn pandemic. We have a 15 year old Shiporkie (shitzu poodle yorkie mix). Best dog ever...but she is aging and acting strange. Aren't we all? I will be a mess when she is gone. She has been loving the pandemic - all her people are here to wait on her.

@rheddmobile Agree about the masks and all that. Heard an epidemiologist on NPR talk about working in Japan for about a month. She was amazed at how fast they all dropped the handshake and started bowing as it is with the Japanese culture. We need to do this here.

My rant: tried to walk my running trail in Austin....beautiful, 10 mile loop around the "lake" which is actually a river. I usually do the 4 mile loop when running - today I walked and DD ran. I wore a mask. Most people did not. They made it one way to allow for more distancing. But after reading that NYT article about breathing and Covid, runners running past you, even 6 feet apart (which most were not) are leaving a 30 foot swath of air around you. I felt exposed. Probably won't go back until the curve is heading down.

Food: not great....tex mex last night, margaritas - homemade so not too sugary. Today breakfast tacos. Tonight, whatever goes with a good Malbec.

Exercise: tomorrow I am going to attempt a "Tour de Peloton" you take classes back to back that hit every single instructor (23 cycling). Most offer some 5 min and 10 min warmups or low impact. The easiest versions is about 155 minutes long. It's just an unofficial group but thought I would challenge myself and toughen up my "*kitten*". I may fail tbh.

    Happy weekend!

    ---
my weight is up a pound from yesterday. Sure its salt and carbs/ fried chicken and biscuits. I have DH trained that after a run (his run) or when we go walk we get fried chicken. I had done okay up to that point in the day. Popeye's fried chicken is the best, sorry KFC. You've been replaced in my book. Bad habits.

    school wah wha
The exam blueprint came out in my "B" class. I am realizing that I'm not being lazy, I am discouraged. I worked so hard for a B. The final is comprehensive and the blue print lists 40 chapters to study and notes, as always, it is not an all inclusive list (book is 46 chapters). 100 questions. study the whole book all over again. Thing is, this class isn't presented (to me) in a logical manner, I still can't tell you anything and I don't understand or know the purpose of the nursing process. Its like understanding a legal class (if you have no background or interest in it). SO. least i know I need to overcome and deal with the discouragement. No Idea how though. The other classes are comprehensive also, I just think I understand the material. So I'm afraid my B will be a C, no matter how hard I try since its 22% of my grade. and I have a 89.3 if the course grades are properly weighted. It could be a 86.7 (my weighted calculations). No idea yet on the last lecture exam, so don't know if I can even study for an A... anyway, discouraged. Step one. study to keep that B, it could be an A, but accept a B that was gained through hard work. Be proud of the effort. step 2. go study.

    I over did it outside.
Nerve leg is unhappy. Hips are still uneven. The right is 1-1.5 inches higher and I can't seem to stretch it back down at all. The trauma surgeon suggested an insert on that side or maybe the other... even if the leg length is the same. IDK maybe, it causes pain be hiked-up and quickly becomes back and SI joint pain. Sometimes even rib pain. So i need it adjusted/ stretched or whatever, not accommodated I don't think. Osteotomy re-do will "fix it". So I wait, and complain. Maybe I'll try a muscle relaxer tonight.

    I'm fat and whiny today.

    plans
I can listen to the "B" book while walking, er waddling.
cook the chicken and eat a salad today
get school done. I'll probably have a month before surgery to fiddle with the overgrown flower beds and trim some trees or watch netflix. So quit acting dumpy about school work. oh no... I haven practiced violin either...
Exercise the control I have. Make plans for the day. Tomorrow you'll weigh less and know more. okay. I got this. wheres that fried chicken?

@RunsOnEspresso - I never thought about trying one of the shakes from Costco. I buy them for Hilde so could try one of hers.
My strength training has fallen by the wayside. I have a program to follow I just haven't been doing it like I know I should.

@quilteryoyo - So excited that you are so close to your goal!! Congratulations!!
Tippy sounds perfect and like she may have had some training before you got her. Our friends rescued a pup recently that we can't figure out why anyone would give her up. She is perfectly trained, crate trained and house trained, walks well on leash. Honestly she is amazing.
I never had any issues with Hobbes other than a couple of accidents when he was small. I have read about some Vizlsas that do serious damage to their owners' homes, chewing up furniture and even door jams and walls. I think it is because they are bored and left alone all day. They really need lots of physical and mental stimulation.

@bearly63 - we have plans to travel too and so far for most of the trips we have taken Hobbes with us. It is kind of like taking a small child because you have to bring all of his stuff (crate, bed/blanket, etc..) but we have had no issue and it has been fun to have him. Of course when we have had to fly or when we go to Europe he will need to stay behind.
When I have had to pass people on our trail when I have been running I move as far away as I can (most people don't seem to want to move at all) and I close my mouth and breathe through my nose and turn my head away from them. Not sure if it really helps but at least I am not breathing heavily on them.

@Elise4270 - I hate tests like that, basically go study everything all over again... what is the class? When is your school over?

I ran sort of yesterday. Got up and out early before it was too warm (only 68F when I left) but like so many of my runs lately it just felt terrible. I have been thinking maybe I just need longer these days to get warmed up but when I run my legs just have no energy and I can't go far (like less than a quarter mile). Yesterday it lasted the entire run and I ended up walking most of the way home from the trail. I am not breathing hard my HR doesn't elevate much and in fact mostly stays strangely low but my body just feels completely empty. Yesterday I felt like I just couldn't keep going and at one point just rested against a fence. My arms and legs were shaking like I had been running all out sprints. So all this to say I decided that something is wrong and I needed to talk to my doctor. I have a tele-doc call with her on Tuesday. I am taking today as a rest day as I still feel shaky (like after a race).

Food is going pretty well. It was too hot to BBQ (98F at 6pm!) so dh opted for pizza. One of the restaurants had 50% off a large so he got pizza and I got a salad and flatbread. They even applied the 50% off to the flatbread so it was a good deal. The salad was delicious and had so much chicken in it, I split it in half and have the other half for lunch maybe today.

A question - when a restaurant lists a salad ingredients including the dressing do you think the calories, etc. also include the dressing? I know Panera is inclusive but others I am not sure. Also I wish restaurants would list what the serving amount (gm/oz) is on their nutrition tables.

    The class is Nursing Process.

Here are the main books I need to review for the final, it’s a 2 volume set. So, 45 chapters x2. I keep telling myself, I should know 50% of this already. Adding 30-40% more is doable. I just gotta keep talking myself down and make progress. I also need to crunch numbers and see the minimum I need in the other classes to keep the A’s.

Dh gave me a nootropic. I thinks it’s just made me wanna clean and do chores, anything but sit still. I have modeling clay, perhaps I can make a heart while I listen to some lectures/or computerized reading of the chapters. I can’t read them, I’ll be sick with a migraine...

@Elise4270 It's so hard to study for an exam when you aren't sure if it is going to do any good or not AND you aren't interested in the material. You can do it. Everyone else is probably in the same boat so hopefully there will be a big curve. Study and do your best. That's all you can ask of yourself. Sorry about your aches and pains. I know that can't be helping with your mood/studying.

@shanaber - that protein looks good, I saw they have a plant based one. Most of the plant based ones I’ve had are awful but I may that one. Though,I don’t like coffee. I think if they list the dressing as what comes with it, the calories are included. But if they don’t specify which dressing, it would be extra. No evidence on this! Gosh, that’s scary about how you were all shaky. I wonder if it is some vitamin deficiency.

@elise4270 - I was reading from the back forward and I first read all that work you did outside. And I worried, oh no! She’s going to be sore. Then the next one was, you overdid it! Sorry about the exam, but remember, these are weird times.
BC (before Corona) you were fine. All of us are just stressed.

@bearly63 - daughter majored in Comp Sci, like me! She also got that business certificate/minor (or whatever they called it). When she first got in, she had this idea she wanted to do creative writing. DH said you are welcome to do that, but we aren’t paying for that degree. She then picked neuroscience but hated the biology at the school. And she would have needed 5 classes of it. So I told her to try a comp sci class, she did and loved it. She had a great 4 years there and loved it.

    @quilteryoyo - 139!!! Wow, amazing!

@RunsOnEspresso - My dog hates the UPS truck. I have to look at that FB page!

@avidkeo - cracked up at your description of mixing the protein in your coffee. I wouldn’t know much about that either. ;)

Been busy avoiding work the last few days. IDK I just sort of hit a wall on Thursday, a mixture of anxiety and just burned out from all this grading. I was still working, but not productively. I started feeling better Friday though and did get a ton done in the afternoon. But I will need to do a lot this weekend. I have been crazy exercising at least! Lifting, running and we did a 34 mile ride this morning (started late because we had Netflix hangovers, stayed up way too late). The ride was great. Still need a one mile run for the streak.

My blender is not mixing well. It has made me realize I feel much more full having to eat my smoothie with a spoon! But I am going to investigate getting a new one. I’ve never had an expensive one, just a general blender, which is probably why they don’t last long. My smoothie is usually a mix of almond milk, Fage Greek yogurt and everything else is frozen: banana, blueberries, pineapples and sometimes the powdered PB. Oh, and local honey!

Biggest hugs @elise4270 that's sounds incredibly frustrating. Are there any YouTube videos or tutorials around that might help? Has your lecturer given any supplemental reading? And can you do a zoom chat or something with someone else in the class who does understand it? Often with these things, you just need that nugget to give you an ah huh moment and you are away.

I get it though, I'm mostly a B+/A- student and always want to push for the A.

And hugs on the pain. You have so much on your plate atm, I'm not surprised that eating is going out the window. Kia kaha.

@quilteryoyo wooo hooo yay! Gosh how amazing will it be when you see that number on the scale!

@rheddmobile oh that sounds concerning, glad you are getting checked out. Do you know what your blood pressure is like? Have you got an easy way of getting it tested before you talk to the Dr? Granted I'm not a Dr, but that was my first thought.
As far as the salad, if they include the dressing in the ingredients list, then I would say it's included in the calories. How can they not say what a serving size is, that's crazy? I would assume the calories given is for like half the salad, mostly because I don't trust serving sizes, even packaged food, they will day 200 calories per serve, abs there is like 2 servings in the pack! Got caught with a kit kat once! Info said only 200 calories for a serve, but a serve is 2 fingers. There are 4 in a pack. Anyone would say that a pack is one serve, you don't share kit kat. But it makes the bar look "healthier"

To everyone, loving the doggy talk! I've never had a dog. Have had cats my whole life and end up with cats who act like dogs - like to go for walks, play fetch, are fiercely loyal. Our last cat was completely mine. Waited for me to come home, demanded cuddles etc. I was absolutely heartbroken when she died - nearly 3 years ago. She was 14 though so had done very well.

Our current cat is almost a copy of her, except he's a bit bigger haha. Was just a coincidence. But he's not my cat, he's my 6yr olds cat. Honestly she can do almost anything to him and he just laps it up and asks for more. That said he's a "teenager" now (about a year old) and a little moody with it. Will be really playful one second, then grumpy the next haha.

Oh food, well I ended up not eating all my calories yesterday, got to the end of the day and I want really that hungry so had 250 calories left over. I think there is also an element of old deficit, so that means a 500 calorie deficit yesterday, so the same if I hadn't dropped my deficit goal. Sigh. Can't let go. Since today is basically a rest day, I have fewer calories to play will so is a good day to actually eat to goal. The only thing I'm conscious of is that i always have to estimate my dinners because DH cooks, and he gets a bit annoyed when I try weigh everything. I've gotten pretty good at eyeballing - well must be because I've lost weight - but I am also realistic that when you only have a 250 calorie deficit, it doesn't take much for that to blow up.

So mentally I start trying to build in strategies - like always leaving 50 calories as a buffer or only eat half of exercise calories. I'm pretty confident my exercise calories are reasonably accurate, given they match many online calculations I've tried.

Aaannnddd I'm over thinking again. I definitely find it hard to just go with the flow lol

@Elise4270 Yikes....some light reading! Good luck....skim what you know and focus on what you don't. What's a nootropic?

@ddmom0811 I tried so hard to get both of my kids to do compsci. They of course ignored me. Their friends who did are making a killing, will never not work, and yada yada yada. Both of my kids are math and science and Zach is also into the liberal arts side of things....both chose some version of engineering. Had so much less fun in college than all of their friends. Always the hardest path with those two.....

I highly recommend a Vitamix. Bought one 4 years ago at Costco. Total smoothie game changer. And a well built product. Makes a decent margarita too.....

Not sure if you are and audio/visual learner but I found these 2 videos, might be worth watching and might give you a bit of a help? Only 20 minutes total.

Thanks @Avidkeo. I love Kesi's hair haha ! She's coming from where I am. I have been studying the way she suggests. Once they suggested all the overwhelming study habits and assigned studying (additional work books, videos, tutorials that are ages long and exhausting, note cards, rewriting class notes..), what she initially experienced, I got and 80 (E2) from a 93 (E1) studying my way. So I'm still finding what works for me. All of the exams cover about 11chapters. It gets overwhelming. as you can see.

    Today's plans
scale after i have my coffee. I am not looking forward to it. I had fried chicken and chili dogs yesterday.
    study plans
Dh got the mower up in the woods yesterday, we've finally cleared enough out to make that somewhat possible. Then he came and got me and we walked the boundary, talking about the next phase which gets us to a trail around the perimeter for running. I keep saying "load of dirt", hoping he'll get a few to make my life easier in this project, "you can rent a bobcat" ohhh manly stuff... It's not much distance (maybe 0.25 miles), but would be ideal for me (when possible) and dh is interested in popping out back for a short run (2-3 miles), just some distance a few times a day rather than loading up and driving 30 minutes one way and feel like I have to get 90 minutes in before it feels worth it. So, I am going to load up my text book audio and grab the chain saw and see if I can do some passive learning. Of course later, I'll have to sit and add in the case studies and practice questions.
    food plans
I should fix that chicken. I'm hoping I can eat a salad today, if the greens aren't bad. But, I feel like dh buying a pizza is more of a reality. I gotta be more food responsible.

    the B class
I crunched the numbers and I think I am set for a B (unless I make a 99+ on the final). I'll accept that because I have no choice in the matter after 80% on exam 2. I have a bit of hope that I'm wrong and am still studying for a 95. The grades on blackboard (online) show 2% higher than my calculation, so... perhaps I still have a shot, if i score 90+. Which may be possible. This is why I am getting outside. I'm getting way to stressed over a B. (that brings my gpa down...) lettin' it go... fell some trees.
