MFP ate my post. What crap.

    quick recap
thanks for the support. I got an 84.6 on the paper (pass!). I ate too much. I ate bad food- have a terrible migraine, my teeth hurt. I have to check out Darkness from Legend now.

jerks few and far between. what what?

    :) SSS (dumb MFP)

Ohh 1985? how have I missed this show of his? There needs to be Tim Curry-a-thon including his more accomplished works (plays & musicals). DD said I can't have him because he's gay. Harry Connick jr isn't gay and I can't have him either, although I wished awfully hard on that one.
Timmmmm . LOL! any faviourite crushes/ admirations?
    xgwepwm9mkj7.png

Tim curry isn't gay. I don't think so anyway. He was in a relationship with his agent for a long time apparently.

I'm a weirdo who doesn't really have celebrity crushes, though if David Tennent showed up, I wouldn't kick him out of bed!

DH took this last week off. So by Friday he was a bit restless not having a purpose. He did shop and spent so much money, he bought me a 2.99$ crushed velvet pull-over that is knee length. I feel like Uncle Fester in it, but ya know.., thanks for thinkin of me. Anyway, I kept suggesting a meaningful project that he could even go buy stuff for- fix the shed before it is impossible to reclaim. It needs leveled up and some minor repairs. He's actually on it after a culumative 2 years of hinting. It'll either get fixed or replaced I suppose depending on how sucessuful the leveling goes. I just imagine he'll jack on end up agressivlely and itll just topple into the ravine (ya a but dramatic). My outside cat lives in there. So she needs it for the winter, She seems to have taken up with another human family. She smells a but human-like some days, like human detergents, soap, deoderant. Which is fine, I want her taken care of and if she is happy inside safe with another human family, I'll accept that.

I should be studying, but can't seem to find the want to. I have 70 chapters to review and am through 8 and have lightly reviewed 10. Guess thats not a terrible start.

Been playing rpgs and when I read “leveled up” I was picturing something entirely different... what does a shed level up into? A man cave I guess...

ya I can see that it might mean something of the sort. Where we are the soil is mostly clay and some dip-wad put the shed between to mouths of a ravine. The shed is off-kilter and the doors won't shut and one wall has gapping from the floor. It is being "leveled-up" as a swanky cat pad/'fradie dog hide-out/mower storage.

Ours is currently a fancy raccoon habitat. The shed itself has a hole under the eaves and the door started not wanting to shut due to swelling. Considering that it contains mostly useful stuff like the backseat from the suv we sold directly to a junkyard, and a window AC which hasn’t worked in 10 years, the raccoons can have it for the time being!

I bought a body weight program and I think I'll start it Monday as well. I'm bored with weights & dragging it all out to lift. So thought a new program may be good mentally (and I need to get back to strength training).

I also got the December Yoga with Adrienne email today. I need to get back to yoga too. I've been very lazy with yoga this year.

I learned yesterday that curly hair should be cared for differently than straight hair. I am taking frequent study breaks and google all sorts of things, indulging the undisciplined mind, or giving it a break. either eyther eh?

I told DD did you know I should use a silk scarf to wrap my hair at night or sleep on a silk pillowcase? Of course, she knew. but white people curls? nah. I said yep, seems so. Google seems to believe that my curly under straight on top could be nothing more than overwashing, and not babying the top waves. huh? that'd be cool. So any insight from real people on curly/wavy hair? How do you care for it? How often do you wash it? How do you sleep with it?

I bought a silk scarf (Amazon strikes again- I also found a meditating baby budda I seriously want. It's an Alex thing). They sell silk-like beanie hats to sleep in or wear about- might get one, debating when I can get the baby budda er uh if the silk kerchief will help.

The birds finally found the food I left out for them just in front of the big window under the sand cherry tree. The cats love it, and I really like watching the birds, cardinals, and maybe finches and a bird that looks like a skinny chickadee. The diet cat saw them yesterday and went to the window and then thought, "outside", stopped and went to the garage door to see if it was open. It wasn't but I called her back and she and bear went out. I sat watching when the flock would disperse. It took a few minutes. Neither of them are likely to catch a bird. Bear is still bringing me tiny earth snakes that I rescue and relocate.

    That's my day. How's yours?

I had a very odd weekend. It was a great weekend but odd.

I was in call the whole weekend, and usually get at least 1, if not 2, calls per night. I woke Saturday morning surprised at no calls but kinda happy, because it was a busy day due to birthday activities. Then I woke Sunday morning, no calls, and thought wow what are the odds. Then this morning I woke at 4am, lay there wondering what the heck was going on! Kinda dozed for an hr or so, then at 525am the phone finally rang! And because that call was before 6am, I get most of the day off! I go in about 1515.

So because I was wide awake, I went for my first HM training run! It was only 3k, but feels great to be starting a plan. Fingers crossed I get across that finish line in Fabruary!

Weight was down this morning. Yay.

@swenson19d - I found out about curly hair a while ago... I had no idea that there is a specific way to cut it so it curls better and it does make a difference. Finding someone though to cut it who knows is often difficult and they are usually not close to where I am. I don't have any special scarves or pillowcases for sleeping (I wouldn't like a silk pillowcase for sure) and my curls get flat and frizzy over night. Nothing a bit of water doesn't help. I wash my hair once a week now (used to wash it every day) but I do rinse and condition it pretty much every day. My hair and curly hair in general tends to get very dry so the conditioning helps. I have a non-terrycloth linen type towel that I use to wrap my hair when I get out of the shower. The terrycloth towels will make your hair frizzier, if that is an issue. I also don't comb/brush my hair other than to get conditioner distributed and then with a wide-toothed comb. This site has good information on how to care for curly hair, check out the categories on the right side of the blog page. They also have great, if expensive products. I used to go to a stylist who had been trained in their method to cut curly hair but she is just too far away to go regularly.

We did burgers for dinner last night and I was reminded again that I am really picky and not a huge fan of In-n-Out. Dh went to his favorite Cuban bakery and got me scones. They are great but I really don't need two huge scones. I will be eating bits of them for a week or longer.
Today I am going to get in another yoga/strength workout and a short walk. Kinda over did it yesterday with a really long 6 mile walk mostly a result of trying to avoid people out on the trail. Dh and I are going to put up Christmas lights on Hilde's house and then if there is time we will do ours. I am a little concerned that the winds are predicted to come back later this week and I don't want the decorations all torn up. We had really strong winds on Thanksgiving night and I am amazed we had any leaves or fruit left on the trees.

I signed up for another running challenge in December (1st-25th). Some of the proceeds go to Feeding America and you can run it individually or as part of a team. If anyone is interested you can join in here for $42. You get a tech shirt (long sleeve or a tank top) and a medal of course. They are offering international shipping but it is $30 more.

ohh thanks @shanaber . I ordered a microfiber towel (Amazon). Matrix had some tips about washing and prewashing. I am not sure I fully understand the prewashing step yet. I think just oil or conditioner before your shower. I like the combing through at the conditioner step. I'll move my large plastic pick from 1985 to the shower. I lightly washed my hair today because it's still a habit and I think its been 2-3 days... I have cocunat products I like so far, used twice now.

Waiting on Dh so we can go buy cat food together... He takes so long to be ready.

It was chilly today so on my way out I grabbed a scarf out of a drawer. Walmart is always freezing. I pulled my lower back again. I sat in the truck while DH shopped. I am sure he thought I was faking it when I said that I just can not walk that far today. Then I come home to old cat butt drips all over the living room and kitchen. I struggled to clean that up with zero compassion or concern. He's old and has weakness in his hind end and seems to have bouts of what seems to be constipation incontinence. Valium did not touch the back pain today. I have Norco, which I may have to give into. PT tuesday, but I may phone tomorrow to be worked in. I can not study like this. If I can manage, I'll find the heating pad. I am so old and broken.

I have been trying to stick to the IF and have a reminder app. It's kind of a pain. Weigh isn't going anywhere at the moment. I ate pie, plantain chips, pot pie and gum today. I gave up on counting calories. I was 0.7 pounds above the do something weight. not bad considering I was 0.5 below it before I started the pie diet.

I have violin tomorrow... ugh always something "wrong" with me. Perhaps it'll calm down by then. I am behind studying already on day 2 of my study schedule 14/19 done. I may have to skip the stuff I am ok with and focus on what I'm not.

@swenson19d So sorry to hear about your back. The strangest things can tweak them. I hope it is some better this morning and you can get your studying in.

People on social media swear by some curly girl method. My hair is no wherennear curly so I haven't paid close attention.

Logged breakfast so far. Should be easy to log since I'm at the office. I don't know why it's easier here than at home 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was going to do 6 miles yesterday to hit 100. Doggo is constipated so our run was a walk (which I don't count in my running miles). I went out last night for 3 miles and will try to squeeze 3 in tonight instead of a rest day lol

@RunsOnEspresso Poor doggo. I hope the walk helped.

Back is somewhat better. Ill wait for PT tomorrow. Just heat and rest so far and trying to walk without making it seize up.

I think I can play catch up today with studying I have 14 chapters to do today, but marked tomorrow as a "rest" day so I can get a few chapters done. I am stalling still... I have a paid Osmosis account and of course they are running 50% off and I want to upgrade from RN to the MD account, because they get more access and sometimes I want to understand something deeper. So now that that is done with a chat with Maria who was on point and helpful, I should study... perhaps devise a play list and at least watch some stuff and call it studying.

    still stalling
Bear is spunky today. He's in that kind of cat mood where he is running in and out and over and under making little happy cat noises and climbing everything. It is crisp outside and the door is open just enough for him to get in and out. He's probably happy that there is (wet) cat food today too. He went out to see the birds and was literally bouncing around like a Jack Russell. It was so funny. little nut-bug.

    Food
I need to eat light today. DD picked most of the turkey off the carcass and wants pot pie. I'm incline, but I don't think today is the day with the stalling and studying and futzing around in my upgraded Osmosis account and back pain and violin (via zoom today- thank goodness).

ok tea and chapters and videos.

@swenson19d hugs on the back, it sounds like the study is going pretty well overall!

@RunsOnEspresso I always find it easier at work than at home. Too much food around at home.

Yesterday I stuck to goal, including baking a cake and eating so much batter. I think the batter in that cake is so so good. My students finish this week so making a fancy chocolate cake to say farewell. No run today. Calf was a little tight yesterday but fine this morning.

I'm not cycling to work today. The wind is insane and I genuinely worry about being blown off my bike. I think @quilteryoyo asked if I have a plan for wet, and yeah I have a waterproof jacket. And always change at work. But have yet to perfect my method, or even try. I never considered the wind! And I'll have to use a plastic bag to keep my uniform etc in my backpack dry!

@RunsOnEspresso Hope your dog is okay. Walks usually help Tippy. Try giving him some pureed pumpkin with his food. It gives extra fiber and helps with constipation. This is what my vet told me to do for Tippy.

@swenson19d Glad your back is some better and that Bear is entertaining you. Hope you manage to get some studying in. I'm also in the "don't want to do anything" mood today. Maybe it's a post-Thanksgiving funk.

@Avidkeo Glad your calf was better this morning. I'm hoping for some cake porn when you are finished with it. That's a great plan for biking in the rain. Wind can be dangerous. I hope you were able to nab a parking spot.

I don't know what I ate yesterday that was salty, but there was something. I was up 2 pounds today. Hoping I'll lose at least part of that today.

I have my CT scan tomorrow morning. I called the CVT surgeon's office today to make see if I needed an appointment to discuss the results or not. She said they would call me, once the surgeon has had a chance to review it. She suspects either tomorrow afternoon late or Wednesday. I'm expecting Wed or Thursday since the scan isn't until 11:30 am tomorrow.

As for food, I'm trying to figure out what to do with leftover ham and turkey that isn't horrible.
