Track: Yes
Calories under goal: Yes
Exercise: Yes, walked over 2 miles this morning (total of 7000 steps for the day). I have come a long way since not being able to walk around the block 3 months ago. Still have to fight against being a couch potato.
This challenge group has benefited me so much. Sometimes I think about eating something but check to see if it will put me over my goal. If it will, I don't eat it.....I don't want to write that I went over goal. I am scared if I go over once I might keep going over.

Overall it was a good week. A loss of 1.5kg (3.3lb). I haven't been the best with tracking so I really need to start that again.4 -

Comments: if you celebrate Christmas, what's your game plan for the next couple of weeks? I usually gain weight between Thanksgiving and New Years, so I'm glad the scale is moving downward, but I'd be lying if I said I was staying on track.2 -

Happy with this 😁. I am still aiming for 220 by the end of the year but anywhere close will also be fine.
I had a diet break for three days this week and went a bit crazy (I get disheartened when I lose slowly after eating strictly like in week 2) but have been back on track for the other four days.

A bit gutted but I was expecting it, not really tracked this week and had a Christmas party and just a general feeling if I can’t be bothered.
Today is a new day, a new week.

Down 31 lbs so far!!! I'm a little discouraged with how slow I am losing now....I'm not sure why. I knew it would slow down after the first few glorious weeks of losing 3 - 4 lbs per week.7 -

You had a diet break for three days and still lost 3 lbs? That is awesome!! Nothing to get disheartened about at all.0 -

Yes, so weird. In week 2 I was very strict and was always under calorie goal but only lost 1 pound. Then this week I was far over calorie goal 3 times and lost 3 pounds. Happy with 3 pounds of course 😁3 -

I noticed that I lose weight after mixing my calories up. Maybe it confused the metabolism.2 -

It seems like a weight loss journey is always weird. In our minds we think it should always be linear, but our bodies have different ideas about it. I'm sure when I was gaining myself up to 273 lbs it wasn't always steady either. The main thing is sticking to it and seeing the trend going downward.

I noticed that I lose weight after mixing my calories up. Maybe it confused the metabolism.
When I was in Jenny Craig years and years ago they would put us on what they called a "break point" diet. If you reached a plateau you couldn't break you would eat 800 calories one day and 1600 calories the next (or something similar to that). You would only do this about 6 days. The idea was to jostle your metabolism. It always seemed to work. However, I've noticed on the message boards here that the long timers would bristle at such a suggestion. If I ever reach a hard plateau I may try it and see what happens.2 -

So excited! I did 15 minutes on my Total Gym without having an asthma attack and my heart rate is down to 118. I only stopped twice during the 15 min and I also used the resistance bands to work my arms.9 -
