I’m happy with the 2 pound lose because a certain time of month showed up yesterday and I am very bloated. And I am also fighting the urge to eat everything in sight so far so good.
@kirbyallison I fight the urge to eat everything in sight every day, that time of the month has nothing on my appetite lol. But yep, that time of the month seems like it wrecks our progress every month, but it doesn't, it just hides it for a bit. Hang in there.0 -
I have a horrible assignment due at uni so I spent most of the day crying into my computer. That and the cold led to snacking. I will try harder today and hopefully get a bit more exercise in, as the darn assignment needs to be sent.
You will get there, it's just hard. Take it one day at a time.

Daily Post (Tuesday)
Track: Yes
Calories: Under, but not where I wanted to be
Exercise:Yes, 90 mins weight training
Comments: Sort of a good day, really hungry today, will probably want to fast this week at some point to lower my total calories for the week. Weight training is going okayish...hopefully it gets a bit better, have some work to do to get ready for my next meet.
Here's a little Tuesday humor, I've been finishing my Christmas shopping, almost done, and I'm getting around to unpacking the boxes to wrap the gifts, and I break down the boxes as I go so I can recycle them, and my cat was not amused. He wanted all the boxes for himself and he didn't want them flat...that face he's making....so great.
LOL--- He was not happy with you at all--- "taking all of my new lil houses away Mom--ReAlLy??!!!"
You are doing so incredible Ashley! BTW: I haven't even started shopping--- panic will set in fairly soon I am sure

-My presentation at work went extremely well (Yay!), but ran later than planned. I missed the gym cutoff for child care, so I did a core circuit at home instead of weight training.
-Drank exactly 32oz of water, so still need improvement here!
I will be posting my Wednesday stuff tonight. Everyone, keep being amazing people!

@SLIMn2016 In my defense on that one, I used to work for a shipping company and we of course were so busy during December that if I didn't have it done by December, it didn't get done, so I'm sort of programmed now to be done early.1 -

Calories: Under
Exercise: Yes. Walking a dog that hates walking 32 mins, Pickleball 45 mins.
My wife checks my BP and listens to my heart every morning. 8 days in a row, so far so good. Really makes my day. So I decided to play pickleball for the first time since early Oct when I tore my meniscus. No pain, but slight swelling afterwards which I expected. Feels great just to be active again.

Comments: yesterday I had a sick toddler and teething baby and got overwhelmed very quickly. I don't think I even signed into MFP after tracking breakfast. I also know I didn't eat enough for the day because I skipped lunch and crashed once the kids were in bed.
Today was more normal, and I tracked, walked and did both the workout from yesterday and today to catch up with the challenge.2 -

Water Intake: 70oz so far
Goals/comments:
So I started my steppinh today was trying for 2 minutes but had an Asthma attack so I am moving slowly. I'm thinking one of my medications is probably causing issues with my breathing as well. But I also aet a goal to walo up and down my hallway every hour so we'll see how that goes. I am trying to get out of the bed instead of giving in to the pain. My shortterm goal is to get to 415lbs so I can start swimming again at the rec center. The Rec Center lift holds a capacity of 430lbs.3 -

@gjaholy33 That's a great goal and you've been super consistent, losing and staying on plan, you will get there before you know it!
Don't forget to drink lots and lots of water! Super important to a keto diet (well any diet really)!2 -

@jcgator2016 That's really exciting that you're doing better and able to add in normal activities/exercise, and while I have no idea what pickleball is...sounds like fun!0 -

-I walked today for exercise, and I have scheduled time in the morning to workout before work. I have to go to the gym early because my 5 year old's Christmas program🎄⛄🎅🦌 is Thursday night! He is so excited, and has been practicing his songs and cute dance moves for weeks🕺
-I'm still failing at drinking enough water. I have had so much research to complete and back-to-back meetings at work that I always miss my goal. I do get about 20 oz in before breakfast, then the rest of the day I just don't drink enough. What are some tips, tricks or suggestions you have to get in the appropriate water intake?
I hope everyone had a productive and purposeful hump day!0 -

Wow, you really had your hands full! I hope your kiddos are feeling better, and that you hopefully got some rest in. That's really awesome that you were able to get two workouts in! Super inspiring to us momma bears out here0 -

Exercise: Yes, 12000 steps and an hour of beatsaber. Feel much better now the assignments gone, just hoping for an okay mark.
Work again today, hoping it stops raining so I can walk instead of getting the train (unlikely as it’s been torrential all week).
Love reading everyone’s days, and seeing your progress.
I also want to know what pickle ball is! 😊

Okay, for those asking. Pickleball is like tennis except you play on a court that is a third of the size of a tennis court. You play with a paddle and a ball, the object is to hit the ball over a net and score points. It's really fun and depending on your skill level, the game is fast paced, you have to be quick and it will give you a workout. I would play 4-5 games, and according to my Garmin smartwatch, I would burn anywhere from 250-400 calories per game.

Forgot to post my monthly introduction.
My name is Jim, I am 62 and reside in Charleston, SC
This is my fifth month with the Slimsons, and I thoroughly enjoy it. It holds me accountable, to log daily, and gives me motivation in my quest to lose weight. Ashley is a great Capt, always there for encouragement or a kick in the butt. I'm recently retired, married to my best friend and college sweetheart for 37+ years. We have two grown sons, both married and a precious 2 1/2 year old grandson I aptly dubbed Bubby. Highlight of my week is picking Bubby up from daycare two days a week and hanging out. We also have a chunky English Lab that hates walks, pools, dog parks, the beach, and fetching. She loves bacon. That's her in my profile pic.
Started this weight loss journey on 23 June. To lose 120 lbs. I've knocked almost 40 off, so I only have to do it 2 more times. I have started and quit numerous times, but this time I am motivated, laser focused and will not stop till I reach my objective. Gonna hit some snags on the way. Lord knows, I had a tough month in October and last month was no picnic. Nov 5, three hours after my weightlifting session, my heart rate stayed well over 153 and wouldn't come down. Wife came home from work, took me to the ER and after two days in the hospital, they managed to get my HR down with meds. Cardiologist said the cause was Atrial Flutter. After a battery of tests and modifying my meds, the last 9 days my heart beat has remained normal, and I was recently cleared to exercise except no heavy lifting.
Best advice I can give is to please stick to the plan. There is a reason why we are all here. If you have a bad day, or a bad week, don't give up. Keep pushing. Ask for help. Seen too many good people on here just quit and leave after their first week.
Good luck to all. Glad y'all are part of this group. Go Slimsons!
