Good morning all! Haven’t been feeling the greatest (sore tummy) and hoping I feel better by tomorrow, grand kids are coming over to bake and decorate cookies! I am up for our challenge - sounds fun! I never post a pic of my face on the internet ( yup I am one of those people that don’t trust he big internet companies) 😂 but here’s one of me and Lucy wrapping presents last night.

Oh and here’s the finished job! We have opted to not have a normal tree since Lucy is still a baby (under 2 years old) maybe next year 😂

Just a quick check in. I went to bed very late and got up very early today. I got right out and finished up the errands I needed to get done today. It was so worth it! But now I am going to take a nap. I plan to go to the gym later with Shannon.

@cyndiesstuff good luck with your party today. Hope you can enjoy it. It is a good idea to keep searching for answers. You need to stand up for yourself, the doctors don’t always do that. I also have heard from quite a few people that the anti inflammatory diet is amazing but you have to give it time. I can’t believe the doctor told you that there was nothing he could do but didn’t take another MRI after all that time. Looking good! Love the selfie!

I am so proud of everyone! We are almost to Christmas and a majority of us are checking in, working out, logging meals and offering support to our team members. I know this is getting more difficult as we are heading into the home stretch. Hang in there everyone! We can do this. Let's enjoy the holidays! You all rock!!

Forced myself to take the dogs for a hike since we were going out for sushi for dinner. Walking in the snow burns more calories, yes? LOL Love seeing everyone's selfies!! I'm not much of a selfie girl unless I've just left the hairdresser... so far today I haven't even gotten around to brushing my hair!!!
@cyndiesstuff I'm so sorry you're experiencing such pain. I was wondering if you notice its worse during the cold winter months? I think the anti inflammatory diet looks interesting. Its just so hard to change your way of eating when you're not the only one you have to feed. Hugs!

I have pulled out some books today to try and help in my weight loss and with my stomach issues. I'm going to give anything a chance at this point. Can't wait for my new Fitbit, I'm having withdrawals and I can't join any challenges because it says I don't have a tracker. On a happy note I am on vacation til after the new year.4

@ljdanny I think some stomach issues are related to what we eat. It takes a while but if you start eliminating things slowly maybe you will have some luck. I am sensitive to Dairy, I can eat it but not a lot. When I do I pay for it. It took me a while before I put it together. My brother had a problem too and that is what made me start paying attention. Are we fitbit friends? When you get your new one we will have to figure it out. Enjoy your vacation!3

And great team work we seem to really pull through the holiday month well! So proud of everyone
I am cooking extra for my Christmas Eve dinner - just baked chicken with lettuce cucumbers tomatoes, pecans, apples, blue cheese and light dressing and I’m Taking some grapes as dessert to inlaws. They may think I’m nuts but I really don’t want to eat heavy food and junk. (Our Christmas Eve is all about Eastern European heavy dishes)
I’ve been feeling so good I have no desire. My husband loves baking and cooking too and he’s been on the roll with cookies last couple of days lol yet he barely eats them so we have too much around. (Right now about 5 different types and he’s baking more in the morning and then we have to make 40-45 homemade polish pierogi for Christmas dinner)
But I am not even tempted this year. It’s crazy I crave more salty stuff, and normal food:)
Don’t give up guys:) enjoy your holidays but maybe with reasonable amounts of “no no food” so it’s easier to get back to good habits.5 -
And @cyndiesstuff what kind of pains are you experiencing?

I will take that it could have been worse. Thinking I should compare myself to this time last year rather than I summer me. Compared to last year i am slimmer. I think got to 174 lbs over Xmas.
In January I am going to have a month off sweets biscuits and cakes. Someone on here suggested making a donation to a cause you don't like if you fail. I am going to make a poster on my desk to remind me.

@lenka1 I love your salad and your determination! That’s what I did at Thanksgiving. Your family dinner sounds so tempting too. Mom is making tamales tonight. That sounds so good. I found that I am only tempted by no no food if I’m not filled up on yes yes food. I make sure to stay very satisfied with my yummy foods then nothing tempts me. I found that I still crave something sweet after lunch. My “yes yes” lemon balls that I keep in the freezer are the perfect treat for me. They only have raw cashews, lemon juice and zest, dates and unsweetened coconut...rolled in coconut.
Really proud of this team. We have more interaction than any other team.

@ljdanny I too hit my bottom in July. I suffered terribly with throat and stomach issues. I literally could not eat without gagging and running to the bathroom. Daily. I was forced to find any solution that would help me. I was worried about meds at 62. Did not want to be on them for the rest of my life and not convinced they would even work. That’s where I started my no no/yes yes lists. Doors opened and knowledge has unfolded step by step as I find my way. Health has improved dramatically and weight is flying off. Good luck. Friend me if u would like extra support.

Day 9 on my string
I weigh myself everyday. It keeps me in check, when I don't weigh myself is when I run into trouble. Anyway, I am down a pound, I haven't been this low since April! However, that means I put on 8 pounds between my daughter's wedding in March and when I weighed in at this weight in April. I guess the gain wasn't as gradual as I thought... Well, I am looking forward and not back so...it is Christmas eve. A busy day for me, we do our celebrating tonight as my husband has a big breakfast here tomorrow and it is easier for cleanup to open gifts tonight. We have been doing this when the kids get older. It actually works good for my oldest children with significant others. They do Christmas eve and breakfast with us and then go to their in laws for Christmas day. We go to 4pm Mass and then have appetizers, drinks and open gifts. We have the usual junk this year but Shannon and I are also having a veggie tray, salad and grilled chicken. She wants me to make them into bites but Idk what I am doing yet. We also have little desserts, we have brownies, cookies and cheese cake. I don't like cheese cake so that is easy, brownies will be hard but they will be gone, and is it wrong to say that my daughters cookies aren't too good so I am not tempted! Lol! I have been doing well with the walking videos. I know they aren't a killer workout but it has worked for me this month so if I can squeeze a 15 or 20 min video in I have been trying to. Hope everyone enjoys the Holidays!! We can do this!!
@lenka1 We are kinda neighbors Lol! I love your holiday plan. Learn from me, don't worry what people think of your healthy eating. I worried too much when I was younger and look where it got me. You are doing so well, keep it going!!
@amsandos . You actually lost this week! You didn't derail that bad at all. You lost the first two weeks, gained the third week and now another loss. You are actually down 4 pounds from the beginning of December! This is exactly why I say that the important thing is to get yourself back on track. Which you did, you didn't spiral out of control or say I will start in January, you owned it and got right back on track. You are doing awesome!!

One last thing everyone. If your holidays don't go as planned, if you don't get a workout in, hit your steps, log your food, eat too much, drink too much...Get yourself right back on track, it is so easy to beat yourself up and keep spiraling downward. Forgive yourself and go right back to what you have been doing all month. Odds are, the scale won't be quite as bad as you think. Also remember as you continue to spiral downward, the scale will go up. Let's not lose the progress we made this month. We can do this!!
