Scale is going the wrong way. I had planned on working out when I got home from work today. I even wore my workout close to work. My heat in my car broke this morning and my son is a mechanic so he said he could fix it after work. He works 30 minutes from me. So here I sit waiting for my car but at least I only pay for parts. And don't have to wait days for an appointment. I did eat a lot of fruit and veggies today. There's always next week, ugh!!!!6
-
@ljdanny we'll call that a maintain. Not a big deal. This is hard work. Keep it up. You'll get there.3

Cauliflower Pizza crust (our first time eating and no one in my family could tell it was not thin crust pizza) with garlic, mushrooms, spinach and some turkey pepperoni. Total meal: 330 cals. I ate a third piece of the pizza after I realized how good it was and how low cal this meal was!8 -
@cyndiesstuff Great string, awesome steps, and an amazing loss! I’m happy you’ve found a plan that’s working for you. It’s nice a doctor was finally able to determine the cause of some of your pain. Hopefully that information can help you!2

Water: i’m at 7! almost there...
Exercise: no gym (again) my home workout challenge was a killer, but i pushed through it! yay!

Had a pretty crappy day at work and the last thing i wanted to do when i got home was work out. But, i made myself do it, and it really did help me forget about my bad day! the magic of endorphins or whatever it is! Thankful tomorrow is Friday, that’s for sure.7 -
Checking: having a good week, food, water, steps and excercise all good
@sleepymom5 I got inspired by your posting of Leslie sansone step workout lol
It was crazy windy today so no outdoor activity but I did 5 miles of Leslie among other stuff and got to 22k steps without basically stepping outta house (except driving my kid to and from pre school) it was a nice change from treadmill
@cyndiesstuff wow! Can we say this is somewhat good news??? I mean you know what’s possibly been causing all that pain.
I have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis many years ago like 25 lol (Left elbow) It’s prob nowhere near what you have been trough though but I had days/weeks when I was eating pain killers every day 2-3 times bc it was pretty unbearable.
How are you lately? Especially since you started your weighloss journey?
I haven’t had a bad week since October which makes me think diet and lifting are making wonders! I’ve been ibuprofen free past 3 months! I think it’s related and I wish I would have known i could have gotten rid of my pain or reduced it very long time ago. Fingers crossed 🤞
I’m asking bc I want to know if you noticed changes when you changed your lifestyle...5 -
Forgot to check in yesterday.
Logged food and was a bit under
Water: I think around 70oz
Exercise: Yoga with Adrienne day 9 of Dedicate, plus about 20 minutes of hip hop dancing.
I don't think I've ever exercised 10 days in a row. I realized yesterday that if I keep going with the yoga, I could exercise every single day this year. What an accomplishment that would be!7 -
daily check in
food over (that darn cheese, thank goodness it has gone now)
water on target
exercise 40mins weights (an hour long session but we talked a lot)
I went for weight training with a PT yesterday. He told me I need to think Gorilla for my lifting posture. Weirdly I think it will help. This morning I had a look in the mirror and I think things are starting to shift. I am going to try and fit in a HIIT session on the exercise bike. I have a pizza evening so I am going to the gym in my lunch break to earn some calories.4 -

Yes I enjoy the water aerobics, have been doing it twice a week for about four years. It's a great group of friendly people who come each week and we have to train the new instructors to keep up with us "old folks". It's funny when they come in expecting us to be slow and weak.
As for your doctors: remember they are "practicing" - a doctor I worked for told me they are always still learning and practicing new things. We think they should know all this stuff and he able to help us when we need it but think of all the diseases with similar symptoms - I wonder that they get anything right on the first try. I have several things they've never been able to figure out so have learned to cope. I don't think I could handle severe pain for long though. Sorry you have had to.4 -

Very happy to have lost! Not being able to run has been an adjustment for me, but I am slowly finding my way out of this difficult time. By way of update on my house organizing, I am continuing with the Marie Kondo method and have moved on to my boys’ clothing, then books. This has been a different kind of challenge as the boys need to be involved. They are embracing it and I will provide a photo update this weekend.

11 day string on new plan
My day yesterday was stressful. I was at the doctor at 8 am. Was poked and prodded for my annual physical. We talked a lot about my new food plan. Dr was happy with it. She told me self care is going to be very important in my life when it comes to minimizing my pain. After the apt with here I walks to the out patient clinic and got xrays done. And part of my pain problem is significant arthritis in my neck, shoulders, and back. Finally, that explain a lot. She believes most of my other pain is attributed to fibromyalgia. I also have a uterus that is overfilled with tumors (fibroyds I hope). I have an appt to see a specialist about that. Except for the pain in my hips now most of my pain has been explained. Problem is most of it can not be fixed. so @lenka1 I would say it is good news. knowledge is powerful. so far, my diet has had no effect on my pain levels. so I am going be healthy and live longer with pain. (sad chuckle inserted here).
@phoebe112476 your pizza looks delish. mmmmm.... i am really proud of you for trying new things. and getting your family on board is a win for sure. I can't have cheese tho. bummer.
@Shirin_K thanks. this new food plan has certainly helped me mentally. and you are right. it is really nice to have some, even if bad, answers.
@twyla77 isn't it great how exercise can change your mood. it distracts the mind while releasing those feel good hormores!! and agree whole heartedly TGIF
@czvanut omgosh it is a great milestone for you 10 days in a row! just look at the new you go.
@amsandos I am wishing you luck tonite. I know this is going to be tough. but just imagine how much momentum you will get when you stay on track. really think about how good you will feel when you are successful tonite. It is just one outing. you can do this for just one outing!
@pacsnc6 ayayayayyaya!!!! another pound down. great job. I know this is hard but you are doing it. keep up the good work. water aerobis is great for the body too. less stress on the joints and you sweat but you don't know it cause your in the water. good job! wonderful self care.

Good morning and Happy Friday!
No yoga yesterday (new grand baby arrived and I was busy holding him!) but I did get my steps in. Water was on the low side and diet off. We ate out last night and hubs and I shared fries Scale is WAY up this morning but I'll try to fix it before WI on Monday. Busy day at work, but I'll make sure to drink lots of water and get my steps in today as well as yoga when I get home!
Have a great one!!10 -
@carlsoda ohhh congrats. new baby. so beautiful. yea and the scale is up more than likely because of sodium and stress (albeit good stess). keep up the good work. you got this gramma!!3

Whoo hoo!! 2 lbs!! I don't have a lot of time because I was so behind with all the posts. Yesterday at the trainer I realized I have a shoulder issue. It has been bothering me since before the holidays but just nagging, nothing bad. I couldn't do pushups, planks or lift anything above my head. I guess it is time to call the doctor and get it checked out. It was weird that it was painful when it is just more of an awareness or very slight pain otherwise. I just don't want to make it worse. Other wise, I haven't been as good as I would like to have been this week but am ready to do a little more now that I am feeling better. I am not so exhausted anymore but now it is hitting me in the evening, which is better but that is why I haven't been commenting at night as consistently or getting my steps in. Looking forward to a great weekend. Hoping to get a lot done. I am making sesame chicken tonight over riced cauliflower . Hopefully it will be good. I didn't want to make that yesterday as I was sure my weight would be up today from the sodium Lol! Have a great day everyone!!
@amsandos It is awesome that you are in that Triathlon club! I would think that would be a great way to push yourself. I guess you can’t miss much or slack off when you are there. Don’t worry about where you are with the others on the team, just continue to challenge yourself!
@shirin_k nice loss! Sounds like you are in a good routine and doing great!
@dananananas. Thanks for the birthday wishes xoxo
@mrsbell8well I can relate to the whole dieting mentality I don’t want to be in. I actually think this is the first time I don’t feel like this is a short term thing. This is the new way that I am eating and exercising. You’re right! We can do this! That is awesome! I leave 1/22-1/27 to see my Mom. I love Lula Mae in her red jacket!!
@nstephenson01 That basically is a maintain. It would be a loss most likely if you didn’t have to factor in your monthly cycle. You are doing well so don’t let the scale get you down!! You can do this!
@carlsoda. Congratulations Grandma!! How exciting!! That is so funny that your husband and I share the same birthday down to the year! Great day and year to have a birthday! Does the CBD oil really help? Hope you are feeling better soon.
@cyndiestuff awesome loss! I really would love for my Mom to be by one of us but she flat out refused. She is in a really nice place down there but up here she wouldn’t be able to afford such a nice place. She is not going to be happy about the move but she needs more care so it has to be done. I saw A Star Is Born. It was good! They couldn’t see the arthritis before? Ugh! At least you know. Maybe they need to X-ray the hips too? Maybe that is arthritis as well. I am hoping this eating plan helps you, like I said, I hear it takes a while to see results but I have heard the results are amazing!
@pacsnc6. Sounds like you are doing well! Great job!
@cafelelia I am glad everyone is starting to feel better over there!
@ljdanny. Yes I agree with Cyndie. That is a maintain. You have been doing great so far. Keep it going! You’ll show a loss!
@phoebe112476. Where do you get your recipes! That looks so good. The crust makes me a little nervous (making it not eating it). Don’t you love when you can eat healthy and it feels like a treat!
@twyla77 Doesn’t it feel good when you push through even when you don’t want to? Great job! Last day of the work week-hope it is better than yesterday!
@lenka1 What a great feeling to look back and see how successful you have been and that it made a difference with your pain! You are an inspiration!
@czvanut I bet pretty soon if you skip a day, you will miss it! Be proud, you are doing great!
@amsandos- I was going to say to throw out the cheese! Glad it is gone. Lol! You remind me of me(remember those chocolate pretzels I couldn’t stay away from) I love how each day you have planned your workouts and also adjust your eating. You really have your head in the game! Great job!
@cafelelia Nice loss! I imagine it is hard to adjust when something worked for you in the past and you can’t do it anymore. Hang in there. Thanks for the update with your organizing! I am hoping to start this weekend!
@lennoncpa That isn't bad at all. Pretty much a maintain. Don't let it get you down. You are doing great!
@hope002 Amazing loss! Great job!!4 -

Great posts everyone! I love all the tips and motivation we give to each other.
Daily check in Thursday
Food-not happy with lunch. Missed having a salad. again missed "sugar" ingredient in the yogurt I was eating. I will definitely me more diligent about reading labels. I thought I was past that. I don't eat too many packaged products but I just have to check them out better when I do.

I am feeling many emotions today. I am so happy and I think it is because I had an awesome super smoothie for breakfast and delicious snacks and yummy lunch packed. I am teary eyed since I just read the blog on MFP by The_Movie_Chair. Highly recommend it.
It has me thinking about my own journey. I am so very proud of myself. I started in July at 202.8 pounds. I see others on this team in the 200's. I was just there. I see others in the 190's, 180's, 170's and now 160's. I am there with all of you. And I see the 150's, 140's and I know I will be there with you too shortly.
I feel like I am wearing "Barbie doll" clothes. Size medium sweaters and tops. size 12 pants getting too baggy. My clothes are so little and cute. I am truly humbled this morning when I look in the mirror and see what affects my diet and exercise have done to my body.
I have stuck with my MFP program with a 100% commitment since I started. I have adjusted and adapted for anniversaries, birthdays, work parties, holidays. I have never gone off my plan. This group has helped me stay the course.
I often sympathize with members that go off plan or allow themselves "treats". I am 62 years old and this time around I cannot afford to "fool around". My health is too important to me. My health and gut were so bad that I was afraid to eat. I gagged at just about every meal. I felt so hopeless. Not anymore. Everything I eat or drink is to fortify my body and to make it the healthiest it can be. A "treat" of a bad food or drink would either cause me health issues or worse mental issues and start me right back on a trail of addiction. I just wont go there these days. I fantasize about being at my goal weight. Nothing will change. I will not add back No No foods. I will continue to rejoice in exercise and vibrant gorgeous foods that nourish my body.
This is my time and I have committed fully 100% to me!9 -
@lennoncpa that is just a small gain. keep up the hard work. you know how to do this. it just gets so much harder the closer you get to goal.
@sleepymom5 yayayayay! doing the happy dance. that is a great loss. And the last doctor I went to did xray and mri of my hip and it does have arthritis in it but a very small about. not enough to make me limp like I do. So like I told these doctors in the middle somewhere. I think it is more that one thing causing my pain. And I had xrays and mris of my back and next back in 2011. which showed some small amount of arthritis. Back then they said that the amount of pain I was in was not all caused by the arthritis. so they never looked at it again. I am so angry with the doctor that said there was nothing more he could do. why didn't he ask for xrays? he is a rheumatologist for crying out loud.
@Mrsbell8well I love the movie chair. her posts are so wonderful. I have read every one of them. and I know exactly what your saying about he cute clothes. when I put on my work clothes this morning, I thought, "Dang girl, your smoking!"

Blah. I know it's a loss but the last 3/4 days were better so I'm disappointed...

@DananaNanas that's a good loss. I know it isn't what it was but the scale can be so fickle. Don't let it change you mood. you just keep smiling! you got this.
