    Good ones guys!

Michelle on NS told me that she thinks Applebee's cooks their steaks in butter and I should ask for it to be done without butter. I didn't know that one.

Want to see something depressing? This is the estimated time to burn off one of the healthy entrees at the Cheesecake Factory:

I made a quick trip to the grocery store this morning. For some reason a jingle playing over and over on the overhead speakers pierced my consciousness. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

"My ____ is Charmin shiny." Fill in the blank with exactly the word you'd expect.

I worked today which was fine except for two classes, actually it was two periods of the same class with one period being remediation and enrichment. The activities left might have worked well with the regular teacher but with the end of school nearing, the activities left something to be desired.

Do we count calories or do we count carbs?

Maryanne--I bet the cat went with the tacos. I don't pay attention to anything the Bieber does.

I just got back from Columbus, Ohio which is a 332 mile round trip. The new hearing aids are winners, as was the lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Our waitress told us that on her shift, she usually earns a minimum of 10,000 steps. She was on the go non-stop.

    Wow, 332 miles!

I'm so happy I don't have to drive to Lancaster PA any more and that wasn't anywhere near that far. (I don 't think. I've repressed those drives.)

Now my longest drive is to my dad's which is about 60 miles.

This is Us has been renewed for seasons 4, 5 and 6. Whiskey Cavalier cancelled (I cancelled myself out of that one half way through episode one). Proven Innocent cancelled. New Amsterdam and Chicago Med will be back (but apparently Chicago Med will be minus two of its stars).

Lincoln Rhyme is coming to series TV apparently as "Lincoln". The Resident has been renewed.

Hey, that’s all good news on the shows I watch. Any news on who’s playing Lincoln ?

My ride to the dentist is about 150 miles each way. We do it 3 times a year. Listening to an audio book is a must. So the ride doesn’ Feel that bad to me.

Here, we get used to long drives. If the roads are good, as they are to Columbus, the time flies. It is a 3 hour drive from my house or 2 hours from the city I go to all the time as there isn't that much here

Russell Hornsby (pictured in the title image,) is set as the star of Lincoln, as Deadline first reported. He will play Lincoln himself, inheriting the mantle of the character famously played by Denzel Washington in the 1999 film; a legendary forensic criminologist, seriously injured in his chase for the elusive Bone Collector, who is called back to aid young beat cop Amelia Sachs in the continuing hunt for the serial killer.

Hornsby, who’s probably best known to genre fans as the co-star of NBC’s 2011-2017 supernatural series, Grimm (which has a spinoff developing), has since been fielding TV runs on Seven Seconds, The Affair and Proven Innocent, and banked film appearances in Creed II, The Hate You Give and Fences. His pre-Grimm CV consisted of TV runs on Lincoln Heights, In Treatment, Haunted, Playmakers and Gideon’s Crossing.

Of course Grey's will be back but nobody is sure which doctors won't be. Criminal Minds and SVU will be back (Criminal Minds for the last time). Blue Bloods will be back. Two more episodes of Survivor will be back (one has already been filmed; Season 40 filming to start soon - rumored strongly to be an all winner's season).

For The People is cancelled (I like that one). Also Life In Pieces and Speechless. Big Bang Theory is gone but not Young Sheldon. Mom will be back.

Now I have to decide if I want to watch the last two episodes of Proven Innocent or just look for a spoiler as to "who did it".

What am I missing that I watch?

The Good Doctor will be back. As will A Million Little Things. Bull will be back in spite of them making a $9.5 million payout to a cast member who alleges Weatherly sexually harassed her verbally.

    https://deadline.com/2018/12/cbs-paid-eliza-dushku-9-5-million-to-settle-harassment-claim-on-bull-1202519943/

As will FBI and The Code and The Rookie. All the NCIS' will be back, of course. Elementary will be showing its last season starting in a few weeks. Season 2 of Instinct will air this summer.

I had banana pancakes for breakfast made from Kelly Ripa’s recipe. It’s GF because there is no flour. You make it in a blender.

3 overripe bananas broken into pieces. 2 eggs, half cup of almond butter, 2 T of cinnamon, 1 T vanilla, dash of sea salt. I’d guess it makes 3-4 servings.

They cook up darker than a regular pancake. When you flip it, you might think it is burnt. It’s not. The flavor is delicious. I don’t have a calorie count but it could be figured out by tracking each ingredient. I had batter leftover so I refrigerated it. I liked it even better the next day. The batter thickened and was easier to flip. I’ll bet this would make a tasty waffle. If I made waffles, I’d use all the batter and freeze any leftover waffles.

I just got home from running errands, getting ready for my trip. While I was at Target I stopped by the pharmacy and asked if they had any shingles vaccine and got lucky. They had just gotten a shipment in this morning, so I was finally able to get my first shingles shot. I’ve been trying since my birthday in October! Now I’m just hoping my arm doesn’t get too sore, since the pharmacist warned me that it might happen.

I’m gradually getting things pulled together for my trip. Since I have two destinations, it’s been a bit of a challenge figuring out the clothes I will take. Our first stop is Raleigh Durham, NC and the weather there will be hot and fairly humid. After 3 days there we are flying to NYC, where it looks like the temps will be a little milder, but possibly rainy. I’m really trying to not pack my whole closet, since I won’t have a Sherpa along to help me with my luggage, not to mention not wanting to pay fees to check excess bags. I’ll definitely be wearing some things multiple times, but I do like a fresh shirt every day. Worst case is I’ll wash a load of clothes at some point since both places where we are staying have laundry facilities.

My sister will arrive early afternoon on Wednesday, and we leave early Thursday morning. Guess I’d better get the guest room ready sometime before then.

Helene - I love wonderslim pancakes with a smushed banana mixed in so I bet yours are good.

Jean - I'm glad your hearing aid is working!

Pam - I really hope your arm is okay!

I had a huge smile on my face reading this post. We hope to leave tomorrow afternoon so clearing on the refrigerator is on my to do list. I think I can resist this strategy.
