Hi everyone!
Can’t believe January is over! Wow
Onto February now!
I have simple goals:
-lose 5-6lbs and enter march- 10 pounds away from my goal weight.
- lift 4x a week (50-60 mins)
- Cardio 3x a week (30 mins plus sessions)
-stay positive and no junk when frustrated
I feel like my weighloss has been slowing down now so I may rethink my diet. I focus on protein intake but I may reconsider my carbs big time and going lower carb way.
I was able to do full upper body workout today for 65 mins and 60 min light jog on treadmill. And ending day with over 20k steps - my watch has been charging so I prob would have had 1-2k more
It felt great to be able to move again without pain. I am not 100 percent but close. Workouts are addicting in a good way and I literally finally felt happy after bunch of miserable days..
Tomorrow I’m fasting til 6 pm (I will try to do 1-2 days a week fasting dinner to dinner aka 24h fasts)
Good night everyone!

Morning lovelies! Check in for yesterday:
Logged and on track
Water: probably 40 oz
Exercise: 2 yoga with Adrienne videos
I've also decided to weigh every day this month. Lots of weight loss articles I've read say it's the best way to know where you really are, since weight can fluctuate so much. So I'm going to add my daily weight to my check ins if that's okay.

I know it is not a lot but I was at 207 after Florida! I also thought that after eating out I would be up too. I am so happy! Lol! Had a great day yesterday. Not sure what to expect today but they said we are having a healthy vegan, gluten free lunch. Hopefully it is really healthy. I will checkin later. Have a great day everyone!
@jedaschultz You have had a great month and I am so happy to hear everyone is still on board in your family. It is so much better when you have support! Let's have a great February
@eyesopennow Your posts always crack me up! Great Feb goals! February is going to be your month.
@Carlsoda Thank you! I am lost with what to wear Lol! Good idea to be conservative until I see what they allow. (Which I wish was scrubs-I have quite a large wardrobe of those!)
Off I go! Wish me luck!4 -
@sleepymom5 good luck! Can’t wait to hear how it went.
@GingerPwr we are right there with each other in weight!

Intro
Happy February everyone and welcome back!
I am a team motivator and love ❤️ sharing my experiences and hearing about yours.
I started on July 11th 2018 with MFP and August with this group. I have had over 200 days on my “string”. I spent 3 months focused on macros and logging and measuring faithfully. In October I switched course. I gave up animal products, caffeine, gluten and sugar. The weight started flying off. I have only had 2 weeks since July that showed a gain. I have used this group to help me through holidays, birthdays, and celebrations. I have not had any meds since October. I was a big pill popper for headaches. Now I use peppermint oil for the rare times I may have a headache but nothing like what they used to be. My starting weight was 202.8 wearing a size 3x. Current weight 158.6 size 10 medium. Goal 142.
I suppose I was lucky. My body started rejecting food especially chicken, fish and eggs. But most things were causing issues. I was gagging and throwing up with almost every meal. I was diagnosed with GERD but nothing really helped till I made drastic dietary changes. I feel fantastic! My clothes are so little and cute. I am back to running and just finished 3 months of consecutive 30 day yoga challenges. This is all about my health. The new “cuteness” is just a perk. My daughter decided she would try this for herself. We are following a plant based diet. She lost 11 pounds in January and is absolutely tickled. Said it is the “easiest diet “ she has ever been on. I agree. I post pictures of my food often to show what my eating world looks like. I never measure, weigh or log. I was turned on to this approach from a member of another team. She also has had rapid weight loss and is down over 100 pounds. It can be done!
I live with my wife Molly, my parents, and our 9 year old granddaughter who also follows a plant based diet. I am a banker.
I just received a promotion and will now be a cluster market leader managing two branches and serving as small business advisor in our communities.
I don’t talk about my achievements to boast but to offer hope. Anyone curious can ck out either Dr Fuhrman’s Eat to Live or Dr Greger how not to die.6 -

I have lost and gained about a pound for about three months now, this is the bottom so I'm happy for now, though I was at 163 in the fall. I will get below that soon. Have to drink more water and lower calorie snacks.7 -

Normally, I do yoga at night after the kids are in bed, but I decided to give it a try while they were playing next to me yesterday. I had to laugh when my 6 year old son looked over and said in the most impressed voice “What a trick, Mom!” And he was an awesome yoga buddy for the rest of the practice!
I completed my 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene. It took 2 months, but I wanted to try all of the days before moving on. I’m going to do Adriene’s February “Care” Yoga plan this month.
I also started strength training yesterday… did the JessicaSmithTV 30 Minute Strength Training video (@nstephenson01 Thanks!) Loved getting the weights out again and I plan to add this into my routine this month.
February Goals:- Log all of my food, every day
- Get 10,000 steps per day
- Exercise – Find a balance of strength, cardio, and yoga.
- Strength training: Strength workout DVDs/Youtube videos (min 2x week)
- Yoga: Adriene’s Yoga – “Care” February 2019 program (min 3x week)
- Cardio: Walk or cardio workout video (as needed to get steps)
- Drink 64 ounces of water each day
- Lose 4 pounds this month (168 to 164 pounds)
Hoping everyone has a wonderful, successful February!

Hello all I am amsandos, a Brit from the Midlands UK. Any other Brits in the house? I am 41 I have a 5 year old daughter and a 41 year old man child (just kidding the hubs is ace). I am really active but also eat a lot of junk at work. I have just completed a month junk food challenge by threatening myself with a fine to a heinous cause if I cheat. I am pleased to report it has worked. I will be continuing this although it will be a work place only ban. I am asking my work colleagues to choose a cause and putting them in charge of my free passes so that I am not a party pooper when it comes to special occasions but the point is to stop me from crazing on biscuits and left overs.
daily log thrusday
food a little over (hubby made delicious chicken curry which was rather calorific and served it with Naan Bread and rice.
water I have no idea
exercise 20 mins run, weight
@cyndiesstuff I have a message for your inner sabateur "Oi Ed Shut it" was it you asking about the spin swim? alas it is not an underwater spin session but two sessions poorly punctuated though that would be fun3 -

I was also confused as to where to post the January closing weight. Ordered Thai food last night as the kids have a PD day today and we had a movie party. Stayed within calories, but it was high sodium stuff, which may have contributed to this gain. It was worth it as we had a lot of fun! Will post intro & Feb goals shortly.2 -

Yesterday..... it was deadly cold here in Michigan. the high temp for the day was 3 degrees. ummmm burrrr. good news is being cold burns more calories! I won the arguments with ED yesterday. I have decided that I am going to work on retraining ED to be my cheer squad. I wonder what that looks like. I am losing this weight and I am successful. I have worked hard at changing my life long, deeply engrained bad habits. I have replaced them with healthy habits. One day soon, I won't even have to think about it anymore. I will just do it and feel good about who I am.
@sleepymom5 this is going to be your month Pam. new job, your mom is in her new home. you can concentrate your efforts on you. what does the new you look like? not just visually, but mentally and emotionally as well. I hope your first day is as amazing as you are!! and I have no style at all so, I always stick with the safe bet until I know for sure. and we will take that maintain! for the week you had that was awesome!!
@phoebe112476 thanks for the link. it didn't work for me because I have an android but I figured it out. I LOVE her. She is so right and it is what I have been saying. You have to get your head in the game. I have already listened to 4 of her podcasts! you are doing so well. you keep that *kitten* up!!
@nstephenson01 you madam have come so far. You have been working so hard on the new you. Do you like her (the new you)? Is she everything you want to become? you keep working and you will get to where your going.
@GingerPwr in order to truly lose the weight you have to build a life that is sustainable. not a diet. something that you can do everyday of the rest of your life and be happy with. keep searching. you will find a life style you can live with and then you will permanently lose the weight. Its a tough journey, not for the faint of heart. You need to change who you used to be into who you want to be. and believe me, there is no perfect way to get there. and weighing every day can be an eyeopener. be ready tho. it is not easy. but you soon realize how much your weight fluctuates for what seems like no reason at all.
@jedaschultz you have had an amazing January. you keep working at it and it will come. you need to find a food and exercise plan you can live with for the rest of your life. and to do that there is many trials and many errors. you success is that you have not given up. you are still here with us. congratulations on making a commitment to get healthy with us in 2019. this is going to be our year.
@eyesopennow sometimes you need to whine. I get that. and that's ok. but I am a firm believer in positive thought produces positive results. even it you don't believe it to be true say something positive to yourself 1000 times a day. fake it till you make it!! and you are fine, you check in where you want as long as you check in! and we will take that loss and rejoice!!! woooooo whoooo mike is in the house!!
@carlsoda lol thanks for checking in! keep working it!
@lenka1 you are doing so good. February is going to be a good month for you. I can just feel it in my bones.
@lennoncpa maintains are good. how have you been doing?
@Mrsbell8well you my friend are my idol! I am just in awe at how you have embraced this whole thing. when asked what does the new cyndie look like? I say I want to have Angelina's mentality!! something to strive for!!
@pacsnc6 this whole weight loss thing takes constant learning and adjusting. you just keep working at it and never give up. 2019 is going to be our year. the year Team Weight No More hits their goals!!
@Shirin_K awhhhh a yoga buddy. you lucky girl! soooo sweet. good job at continuing with your goals and teaching your children health habits!!
@amsandos good job at making January junk free!! that is quite a feat girl!! ED shut it! I wrote that on a sticky note and put it on my computer here at work. makes me smile. thanks!!
@Cafelelia that's just a small gain and it sounds like it was all the sodium. and I got you, you check in where you want, for now, I am still monitoring both threads! lol

Hi everyone, I am Lisa from Toronto, Canada. I have been on this lovely team for a month and on MFP for a year. I am 52 live here in Toronto with my husband of 20 years and our two boys, ages 13 and 8. My weight gain started in my mid thirties with a busy career and then continued with pregnancies. I have lost before and have fluctuated through the years. I made good weight loss and running progress last year, but I was thrown a curve ball with an injury in September (sciatica), which has been quite painful. I am a runner, so it has been difficult not being able to do what I love most in terms of exercise. I am in physio now and slowly making my way back to a pain free existence. I started in 2018 at 167.7 lbs and my goal is to get to 130 lbs (I am 5’3” petit frame). I have been following the Marie Kondo method for tidying our big, old house and I am almost done! Am I feeling joy? Absolutely! Oh, and I have been a vegetarian for 33 years!
Goals for February
Weight - lose 3 to 4 lbs
Diet - Continue with CICO & daily logging
Exercise - Continue with physio, work on core, aim for at least 7000 steps a day if no pain (so far, so good)
Other stuff - Finishing the last stage of tidying the house, which is the very difficult sentimental items category. Finish planning & booking our travel for the year. Shift my tidying focus to the digital side of my business (which I run from my home office).
