@Mrsbell8well 47 pounds since August! What an amazing progress, hard work and dedication.
And I LOVE the idea of posting before/after pics this month!
@cyndiesstuff ha March will be tough for me, leaving Wednesday night and won’t be back til end of March but I’m hoping I can still work out. Actually I’ll have more time for myself bc my parents will try to kick me outta house to do something so they can spend as much time alone with their grandkid as they can and spoil her
As long as I don't go crazy with eating I will have more time to run and lift ( my brother is big into lifting too and goes 5-6x a week into their local gym so I will have a buddy to go with)
When it comes to weigh in it may not be super accurate - at least this following week bc I will be using moms scale and i know it matters to use the same scale. Plus I need to recount from kilograms

Check in for: Saturday
Ate to satisfied: unsuccessful
Water: 60 oz
Steps: 9872 steps
I started out yesterday on track. Blew it at lunch time. ate to way past full. i had an urge and i gave in. weekends are a challenge that i just haven't been able to master yet. i will win tho. it is just a bad habit. just an urge that happens in my brain. the more i eat to satisfied the easier it becomes. I do not quit. the whole thing for me starts with a thought, boy those oyster crackers are good. then i get an urge to eat some more. then i get a thought, i could eat more and then there is the action, i eat the crackers. now the trick is to change the first thought, boy those crackers are good. that is a fact. i will follow that fact with i can have more some other time. i am satisfied. if i quit smoking, and i did, i can do this too. it is just a bad habit. march is the month that i am going to conquer the urge to overeat.

I thought the challenge was just for February?1 -
Check in Saturday
Food- good
Water-not enough
Exercise-11,114 steps
Yoga day 2-50 minutes
Slept in yesterday. Spent the whole day shopping with mom. Ran out of time to go to kohl’s so while waiting for mom to finish groceries I shopped for clothes at Walmart. Cute little springtime shorts w birds and flowers, lilac skinny ankle jeans, pj pants and 3 bras!!! I would never have thought to try on 38DD. Fit great!!! I tried on 2 in that size. 1 looked good the other not quite right. Bought a sports bra and black plunge bra that I didn’t try on but will later today. Both in 38DD.
I have a fantasy that I wear 36C like @cyndiesstuff. I’m allowing myself to respect and embrace the reality. It is what it is. My counter and fridge are packed with wonderful ingredients. Can’t wait to start cooking and prepping. It’s snowing out. Gave myself permission to sleep in again. 8 1/2 hours. I average 6 1/2. I feel like I’m catching up from all the early mornings and high energy of the week.
Have a great Sunday.

Saturday check in
Food: great! Had a fabulous Whole30 day!
Water: not near enough but I bought a 30 count of spindrift from Costco so I am set for success
Steps: @cyndiesstuff posted last night, scroll back to page 1, last post 😂
Guess what is absolutely amazing...burger with sweet potato toast. OMG it’s amazing. I sliced the sweet potato, partially cooked in the microwave and finished up in the air fryer. Added a little mayo to my burger and enjoyed it with a salad and 1/2 avocado. What a filling meal! I will be having it again soon.
Yesterday I was pretty tired all day which is due to my body transitioning over from burning sugar for fuel to burning fat for fuel. Couple more days and I should be good.
@Mrsbell8well what a good daughter you are! Are you going to trying hitting Kohl’s today? We went to a consignment shop yesterday and I found an Eileen Fisher summer dress with the original tags: regular $168.00 and got it for $23.00. So excited for spring to come! I love consignment shopping!
Have a wonderful Sunday my friends!7 -
@cyndiesstuff Sorry, I thought the step challenge was just for February
Friday, 3/1 - 12,236
Saturday, 3/2 - 10,471
If the step challenge continues for March, I would like to step aside and let someone else step in
Daily check in: Saturday
Logged: mostly, hubby made one of his meat and veggie stir fry concoctions so its hard to track but I think I was under for the day
Water: OK, need to up it tho
Steps & exercise: 30 minute dog walk; 10,471 steps
Its 1 degree so I'm going to do a Leslie Sansone video rather than venture outside. Sorry, @twyla77 that probably sounds balmy to you! LOL
Keys to my success have been making my health a priority; eating real food such as fruits/veggies, nuts, whole grains, seafood and grass fed meat; planning dinners ahead of time and having the ingredients on hand; exercising regularly and sticking to my routine. I got off track February.
Goals for March:
- Lose the weight I gained in February plus some, hopefully; bust this 45 lb loss plateau that I've been stuck on
- Track my food and water
- Exercise 6 days/week
- Try one new healthy recipe/week
- Read more. I also want to start listening to the Phit & Phat podcast that @phoebe112476 mentioned
Basically March is going to be "make a better Nancy" LOL
Have a great Sunday Team Weight No More!! Get those plans in place for the week!

Hello team. My name is Sheryl and I’ve been on a self improvement program where I try to establish a new habit each month - and they are to be cumulative so that I don’t go back to my old bad habits.
November was my month to give up sweets because it’s something I can’t do in moderation. I’ve been perfect with that and surprisingly I don’t miss them!!!
December was trying to learn portion control and it’s a work in progress but with suggestions from my friends on this team I got a food scale to help me be more aware of what a portion should be!!!
January was to drink my water and that has been really good! Definitely better than I was before.
February I started taking deep breathing breaks 3 times a day. That is very helpful, especially since I am working a lot of hours this time of year doing income taxes!!
March - well I’m trying to get over my binging on nuts!!! I used mixed nuts to help get me off the sweets, but then I was eating way too many nuts!!
So I’m glad to still be here with you guys trying to improve the quality of my life and my diet and share ideas and support each other. I’m not posting much these days but I love reading everyone’s posts!! Have a great Sunday!!5 -

@Mrsbell8well the step challenge was for the feb challenge which runs thru march 2, the new challenge for march starts today. the first full week in march. no worries. we got this girl!! and the reason i am a 36c is because i had a breast reduction in 2013. i was a 38e. i wanted the plastic surgeon to go smaller but he said the insurance would have a cow about it. i wanted a large b cup. on my short little frame it would have been cute but oh well. 36c is nice too. but on your frame 38d is really nice. you will probably end at 36d. we shall see when we get there. i just finished all my prep. phew. gonna relax the rest of the day.
@carlsoda thats for letting me know where it was at. sometimes i just scroll right by. i even looked twice. lol. ole lady eyes!!
@nstephenson01 no worries. we are not doing the step challenge this month. so it frees up some of me and @sleepymom5 s time. and you know you did get off track. but you never quit. you know where you veered off track and you are getting back on. and that podcast was game changing for me. it has really helped me get my head in the game.
@lennoncpa thanks for checking in. when tax time eases up i look forward to hearing from you more.
@CassieGetsFit2013 please check in more so we can talk about what your plan is. how are you feeling?
@amsandos and healthy habits takes time. how long have you been doing it a different way? remember practice practice practice!! you will get there just don't ever quit.
I got all my prep work done. i think a sunday afternoon nap is in order. i have had a good day thus far. happy sunday team. talk to you tomorrow.

Welcome new team members. I'm Tracy from New Hampshire. I'm 46, I have 2 boys, 24 and 21. I will be married 24 years in April. Yikes!! I am an assistant director in childcare, I am currently taking a class to become the director. I hate writing papers, lol. My youngest was in a bad car accident back in October and is still recovering. He was on high doses of depression and anxiety meds and he had a drink which caused him to pass out behind the wheel. Very lucky to be alive. His meds have been changed. He had surgery number 5, 2 weeks ago to remove his colosotmy bag and the hole is almost closed. He goes to physical therapy several times a week to try and gain some use of his hand. He has use of his fingers but not much of his wrist, they are working on that. He was cleared to go to Florida at the end of the month with his friend. I don't want him to go but I'm just mom. I lost a few pounds in February, it's about time, hopefully it continues for March.6

Good evening team. March introduction: I am a 43 y/o single mom to 3 teenaged girls. I have always been overweight in adulthood but never really thought much of it or moved into obese range. I was wearing sizes 12-14 / L for most of the time. I was eating primarily unprocessed "healthy" foods like quinoa, veggies, fruit, chicken breasts, etc. I was drinking almost exclusively water. I was happy with how things were and didn't even own a scale or a full length mirror.
I then had a short disastrous marriage and his way of eating was very different from mine. Lots of soda and other high calorie beverages, almost no fruit or veggies, steak with butter on it and a whole loaf of bread with butter for lunch type of diet. Almost all sugar, red meat, and white carbs. Over the course of our short stressful marriage he was the one who did the meal planning and cooking (he hated the healthy foods I planned/made - lol) and I started gaining weight. I was putting that food in my mouth and even started eating that way when he was not around so I am not blaming - just pointing out the major change from my basic tendency.
August 2018 I decided I needed to change my ways and be a good example for my girls. I was sick of feeling tired and having to buy bigger and bigger clothing. I started looking on the MFP discussion boards for "diet" ideas and decided to commit to recording everything I ate and weigh each week on Saturday. No other changes. The first weight was on 8/4/18 and was 228.5pounds. I have logged everything I have eaten since that day. I quickly changed my ways back towards my prior eating because just the knowledge that I would have to write down the number of cookies I ate - changed my way of eating.
I was reading the boards and other things (PNP podcast and the Beck Diet Solution are favorites). I slowly made changes I felt I could live with my whole life with the main focus being staying in my calorie deficit for the day. I have lost over 45 pounds and am so relieved to have come down out of the "obese" BMI range. I feel great and have had an easy time of the changes thus far. For me the key is making small changes and trying to fit them into my routines. I am so thankful for this group. Checking in daily keeps me on target.
March: I have decreased my calorie deficit to 250cals/day (from 500cals/day) because I am afraid my rate of loss has been too high and don't want to lose muscle. Otherwise I am sticking to same plan of tracking calories and sticking to daily goal. Yoga class 2-3 times a week and a few more weeks of twice weekly Curves circuit. I weigh daily and check in here every day before bed.
I am going to post a photo of me prior to the weight loss and one taken today. Tomorrow marks 7 months since I started logging and making effort to be healthier. I can very easily see that change in my face on the photo. I normally don't notice things like that, so I am counting as a win.8 -
Love the idea of before and current photo. Here is mine.5

Hi team and welcome to any new members! I am Lisa from Toronto, Canada. I am 52 and live here with my husband and our two boys. I joined this team in January 2019 and MFP in 2018 when I started out at 168 lbs. The weight came on slowly in my thirties as work and family life became busy. I have been quite the fluctuator as well. I am 5’ 3” with a petite frame, so every pound really makes a difference. I am a runner, but was sidelined by injury in October 2018 and am slowly making my way back with physio. As I told the team earlier, I had my annual physical in February and my doctor was very pleased with the my overall health, test results, and my weight loss (am currently at 152 lbs). In her opinion, if I maintain my current weight and healthy lifestyle, I will continue to be very healthy. I was very pleased to hear this, but it made me revisit why I am on this journey and my overall goals. I have decided to continue with weight loss, because I know that I feel better physically below 145 lbs, I enjoy running more, and frankly, I like the look of my clothes below that weight as well. Once I reach 145 lbs, I am going to revisit my goal every 5 lbs.
Goals for March:
Continue daily logging and cico
Continue to stay consistent with my daily physio exercises. It is a grind, but it really helps!
Get below 150 lbs
Focus on sleep, at least 8 hours a night
Start a daily meditation for Lent, just 5 minutes dedicated to silence
Happy March everyone!4 -
@phoebe112476 - Love your before and after face photos!! You look amazing and happy too!!1
