@lozenger1984, what a great motivator...to fit into a wedding dress!! Do you have a date set?
Unfortunately the place we want to get married hasn’t got a wedding licence yet. They’ve been working on it for a year so we’re just waiting for it to come through and we can get our date booked in. Can’t wait!

Hi All. My name is Angie. North Idaho, 40, 3 kids (14,8,4). I have been on MFP on and off for years. My highest weight was 371(!) pounds and I have now been at 271 for the last 2 years. I joined this challenge to try to stay actively engaged and get the weight loss moving again. I struggle horribly with food. Can you say HOT MESS? Any ways, happy to be here.
@crab5005, welcome, Angie! Congratulations on losing 100 pounds and maintaining for two years!! Don't sell yourself short...that is quite an accomplishment!!! So now it is time to work on the next block of weight that you want to be rid of forever, using the skills that you honed during the first 100 pound loss. You can do this....you know you can!!2 -

@lozenger1984, in the meantime, you can focus on your health, and of course, fitting into that dress!!1 -
Hi everyone old and new! My name is mike. April is month 9 of my weight loss journey. I started at 309 on 7/25/18 and am starting April at 225.8. My goal is 215 then do a recomp. My goal was 220-225 then recomp, but I just can’t seem to shake some stubborn belly fat...and I don’t look the same at 225 at 39 as I did at 20, who knew?
March was going to be my last month on a deficit but I ended up sick for most of the month, so no exercise and eating was basically at maintenance. One thing I learned in March was how little my maintenance calories are when I’m sedentary and not exercising. I really need to be active to eat as much as I want.
I live in central Florida and work from home. My wife and I homeschool our 2 girls (8 and 4). We live on 2.5 acres and have lots of outside fun time. Moreso for me now that I’m lighter and can do more.
My goals for April:
* Get in the 215-220 range
* Exercise, even if only a 20 minute walk, every day
* Weight lift 3 times per week
* Be able to do 25 pushups without stopping
* Be able to do 50 kettlebell swings with my 65 pound kettlebell without stopping
* Deadlift my weight
Happy April everybody!

Hello everyone! My name is Bren. I am a 41 yr old stay at home mom to my 7 year old daughter, who I also home school. I have been married for 23 years this year to my amazing husband and we also have 2 grown children ages 20 and 25. I have been overweight my entire adult life. It started when I had my first child. I gained almost 80lb during the pregnancy (almost 10lb of that was my child..lol) I had a very hard time losing the weight. I have been on a roller coaster with weight loss and gain all of this time. I am over it. 2 years ago I was doing so well. I was walking 5 miles per day and eating healthy. I was losing weight and feeling great about myself. I had lost close to 60 lb and I was so close to my goal weight. Then we moved to a new town. I got off track, I got busy with life. I have been a foster parent for 5 years, and we had a few little ones come to us during that time. I put myself on the back burner..Again. I gained the weight back and then some. The beginning of January I stepped on the scale for the first time in a long time. I saw a number I had never seen before. That was my moment. I knew that this time would be different. This time I am putting myself first. I am going to lose the weight and and not look back. I have realized that is is definitely all about lifestyle change. So, I began to change the way I eat and I started exercising again. Then at the end of January I had a car accident. Someone thought it was a good idea to text and drive and I was hit from behind on the freeway. So I couldn't do much for about 6 weeks. I am still not back to "normal" so to speak, but I am pushing through. I started back on track February 19. I have lost 12 lb so far. I am trying to do low carb. I am a carb addict!!! It's bad. French fries are my trigger food. I could eat them all day every day for the rest of my days..lol BUT, I am proud to say that I haven't had one since the beginning of February. Anyway..I am glad to be here and look forward to the support. I have 88 more lbs to go..but I am making small goals so that I don't get discouraged.6
-
@bbmich23, first off welcome to our challenge, second sorry to hear about your accident! Congratulations on your 12 pounds lost so far, I’m also addicted to carbs. Sweets are my trigger food so each day is a struggle. I have good days and bad but the important thing is I jump right back on the horse.
Your absolutely right this isn’t a diet, is a life change. One day at a time, one pound at a time. If I can do this YOU CAN.....3 -
Welcome all new members and welcome back all returning. Is everyone ready for a great APRIL??? I know I am. My March was not what I wanted it to be and things in life kept me from being as active in the challenge as I wanted, but I am going to make April different. This is something I have to do for a lifetime so I can’t let “life” get in the way.
I’m excited about the new month and new begininng and look forward to utilizing all the motivation from this group to help me achieve my goals.5 -

I’ve decided to attempt the mini challenge again this month. I’ve been lazy about being accountable and I think this challenge will help, with the only problem being Sunday is my lazy, non-tracking day so I’ll have a lot of catching up to do

Hope everyone has a great week!

@bbmich23, Welcome, Bren!! That is quite a life story. What I take from it the most is your never quit attitude!! Nothing is going to stop you this time from reaching your goal, not a car accident....nothing!!! And breaking down your weight loss into smaller goals is a sound strategy!! Looking forward to witnessing your success story first hand!!3 -
