I tested yesterday but was negative. I will test again tomorrow just to be safe.

And thanks for the well wishes everyone. I have just about made it the whole work day so yay me. THe aches and fatigue are the worse part of it.

Feeling quite a bit better today. Still tired and achy but not as congested and my cough isn't near as bad. I also had enough energy last night to actually cook so I got a good dinner with lots of veggies in it.

Just planning on taking it slow through the weekend to make sure I shake this illness whatever it is.

GOod for you, Athijade! And glad you are feeling a bit better.

I'm still enjoying my potato/cauliflower mash :) This weekend will see, hopefully, me caught in a flurry of cooking so I can have easy meals to pull out of the freezer for the next couple of weeks. Not sure if I'll need them - but better safe!

Anyone wish teleporters existed? I do. Then I could travel and visit you all easily! We could help each other out when we have bad days, illness, or having surgeries. It would be wonderful.

    Sigh....

So on Fridays I get myself a treat. Right now it is a hot chocolate and donut from a local donut chain. When it gets warm I will most likely do the donut from the same place, but then an iced tea from the coffee and tea shop across the street. They let you pick the tea you want and have multiple caffeine free options. You can also sweeten it how you want. Love that place! It's just a nice "you made it through the week" sort of thing. And I figure if I do it once a week and have it to look forward to, then I won't be as likely to binge and want more sweets.

Sounds like a perfect/wonderful/essential ritual, Athijade. It made me feel good just reading it - like I was there having a Friday treat with you :)

Teleporters would be out of this world!

Marathon chores today. Laundry, sheets and towels. Felt like I was folding stuff for hours. I do hate folding fitted sheets - especially king size. I’ve tried every method but they still don’t look neat!

There are different weight sheets for different seasons. And who doesn’t enjoy some variety in bed?

Met my younger son's person of interest today. I am smitten <3 She is beautiful and smart and clearly in love with the boy. Ah...sometimes life is just so good.

Thinking of you today Laurie. Hope all goes well

On the weight post surgery- IV solutions are lots of saline. Don’t be surprised at an uptick! But you’ll pee it out over time. Drink lots of water post surgery. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    🤞 that all goes well!

Lighter is a good joke because of iv and trauma. But it will all balance out in a few days!

All went very well! Eating some incredible beans in broth cooked by my wonderful friend.

After the shoulder surgery - this has been like a walk on a spring evening :)

Very tired though. Not much sleep last night.

All your good thoughts and prayers and candles! provided a smooth sail today. Thank you.

Thank you for the spring flowers 🙂

Had to log back in and share this little bit of ridiculous decadence.

That wonderful friend who cooked the delicious beans also brought me a Lindt hot chili pepper dark chocolate bar ❤️❤️❤️

    I have a truly a blessed life.

    Night night, all 😁

    Thank you, Athijade.

Looked at my food diary from yesterday. 400 calories of real food - 1440 calories of chocolate :# humans are so absurd o:)

Sometimes chocolate is REAL food and provides comfort. Especially on tough days when it makes you happy like nothing else could. And it wasn’t that awful calorie wise considering total intake. 🥰

It wasn't....I was just surprised because I woke up this morning thinking I hadn't eaten much at all yesterday and when I actually registered yesterday's total calories I was taken aback.

I was down a pound from yesterday (I have been up up for a few days so I'm not surprised) - but it is a very good sign because I'm swollen as all get out so there is a drop in my future :)
