Just one refeed day?
I've had 2 close-to-maintenance days this week (within 100 cals of maintenance) and didn't ramp up the fats...maybe I should do a few more.Remind me when you get a chance what BMI you're aiming for.
I honestly don't know yet. I've never been below 60kg (BMI 25) as an adult...The one and only time I got to 60kg I was so thrilled that I didn't consider going lower, but I definitely still had lots of midriff fat.
I'm now within 5kg of 60kg and again the midriff fat's still hanging around. Not just loose skin - definitely subcutaneous fat, and difficult to judge how much. At least 10kg, I reckon. Health-wise, maintaining at 60kg would be fine...it's only vanity that's spurring me on to go a bit further this time.
But something tells me that it might be too much effort for the marginal improvement...4 -
You never know till you're there, right?!
Offered the re-feed as an idea because of the "same number on scale" syndrome. If you had a minimum of two days of eating more and yet the scale didn't move at all.... definitely try the battery pull/re-calibrate/hold jug of water and then weight yourself again routine.
It seems unlikely (just on food in transit in tummy if nothing else) to get "exact same" readings, right?1 -
This is the numbers playground, right?
I now log using the free version of Cronometer which doesn't offer an easy to see average number for calories in. But it does allow for full and unlimited export to a spreadsheet unlike our MFP.
And earlier I was trying to tell Laurie how many Cal I tend to eat on average... but I was blanking! I wanted to say 2900... but wasn't sure!
So to the left of the screenshot are various time periods where I've estimated my evidence based TDEE based on my logging and weight change. The second sheet is the food intake averages I've logged on Cronometer the past 56 days, and then the first 28 days and the last 28 days of the 56 day time period. And the third is weight trajectory.
I smell a correlation even though I haven't added calories out either according to Fitbit or as established... eyeballing from weight results I would guess calories out continue to be in the 2900 to 3000 range, though trendweight says "you are burning 51 cal a day more than you eat"... meanies, I'm SURE it's more!

@PAV8888 Ah, the numbers playground! Work has burned me out for crunching numbers lately - but this is fantastic stuff. As much as it tempts me to re-download Chronometer, I'm reminding myself I don't need a THIRD tracking tool. 🤣2

Poof!….complete airhead here with numbers….give me a book or some paper and a pretty ink pen!1

@PAV8888 I started with LoseIt early last year before coming back to MFP. I wanted to try something new at that point - it's not nearly as robust or interactive as MFP is now. I've all but quit logging over there, but don't want to lose my weight logs from pre-return... So it stays installed and at least weigh-ins make it over there too. 🤣2
-
@MelissaAY1017 you used to be able to manually enter weight data points on MFP. Even a few representative points transferred over might alleviate concerns of what might happen if they close/what have you.
Nice going BTW!2 -
Thank you!! There should still be a bit of a mini-whoosh waiting in the wings from my "stuck time," but I will absolutely celebrate the trend over the last two weeks!
Hmm, I'll have to take a look and see what the best options are - either way, LoseIt isn't "sparking much joy" anymore...so it's time to at least get transferring into Excel. 🤣3 -

There's a flaw in that logic though...my husband uses the same scale and his weight has fluctuated as usual. Admittedly a 7 (now 8) day constant weight is highly unusual and statistically improbable. Especially given that my intake has ranged from 1480 to 2070 calories and my exercise from 60 minutes to 230 minutes across those 8 days....3 -

@PAV8888 We went out to eat on 2/17 & 2/19 also. I am trying to make good choices when we go out and hoping it all works out the way I want in the end. So far its working but I always expect to see the scale jump after we go out.4 -

Your weight up and downs are, I admit, substantial. Kudos to your hamsters for keeping it together!3

@conniewilkins56 - fantastic job staying the course!!!
My hamsters may be a bit jealous... They're very numerically motivated. 🤣 If I recall, my last time around the weight loss mountain, I got stuck where I am now... So they're feeling a little bit of deja vu and lodging complaints. Time to shake things up!!3 -

Although, I’m not happy with February’s results, according to my projection spreadsheet calculator I made for myself to hit my goal weight by end of 2022, I am still about 1.5 lbs lighter than I planned to be by this time. So I guess I can say I’m still on target although I didn’t have a great loss in February.
Have a good weekend everyone.
