As long as those scales continue a downward trend, all is right with our worlds!

I see good and substantial results and solid trajectories.

Reasonable goals that motivate are good. Achieving a process that will eventually allow you to reach your goal *and stay there* is even more important I think.

Achieving a pound a week represents a substantial deficit and results in a substantial decrease in weight over time (52lbs a year, for example: try swinging that kettlebell around! ๐Ÿ˜น)

I've averaged both a 695 average calories a day deficit for a year. And a 125 average Cal a day deficit over a year.

I will honestly say that even though the results of the first were more dramatic, neither of the two was easier, or harder to implement at the time.

I will also say that the degree of hamster ๐Ÿน checking necessary to make sure that things were not going off the rails by over restricting or by making short-term decisions instead of keeping the long-term prize in mind was, for me, non zero!๐Ÿ˜น And that was more intense with the larger deficit.

Long term plans are good. The flexibility to enjoy good results that are heading in the right direction is even better! And what's best? Not getting to the end, 'cause that means I'm still above ground and kicking *kitten* โฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜น

Off to get rained on by the deluge, but the girl has to poo ๐Ÿ’ฉ!!!๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

    Very reasonable, PAV.

My "calories in" number has gone way up to match the time I'm "way up" into the week hours, working :(

My "calories out" number is down to match the hours spent sitting when only my brain is active :(

Work may pay the bills - but sometimes it really sucks.

I hear that loud & clear, @lauriekallis - I'm trying to remember to be gentle with myself, since it looks like the combination of stress, insomnia, and "work sucks" may have derailed what I thought to be a ridiculously achievable goal for February.

Taking my own advice has never been a strong suit, lol ๐Ÿ˜‚

Keep going, ABD. You are so into the groove I can feel it.
I'm going to join you with number sharing soon. My CW is going down - but I'm still having a hard time getting my head around how much higher it is now compared to a few months ago.
Maybe next week. Your examples give me a nudge every time.

Being math averse, I never calculated percentage. Iโ€™ve lost 33% of my starting weight. I surprised myself! An entire third of me is gone. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
