    Track: Yes/ breakfast
    Calories: No
    Exercise: No
Goals/Day/Comments: I started off really great this morning but started stress eating the remainder of the day. Middle of the week and I’m falling short. I have to stay consistent with tracking and track more than during breakfast time to make myself accountable for what I am eating.

Today I bought a pair of jeans with a waist of 28 inches and they fit me! They were on sale and I didn’t bother trying them on in the shop, but I thought they would be a pair of jeans that I’d need to put away until I lost a little more weight. I have this thing going on where I seem to see myself as bigger than what I really am. I wonder if that will ever change.

@o0kody0o OMG this is me, I'm still trying to come to grips with the size I'm at. I'm wearing smalls on the top and mediums on bottom (8ish) and I swear my mom has been picking me up some clothes at garage sales (because she just can't help herself) and she gives them to me and I'm like that's not going to fit, what are you crazy?! and her response is always, "Just put them on" and I do and they fit and it's unreal. Just.not.real.

@AB0215 It is so mind-boggling isn’t it? My mum is the exact same. She loves browsing second hand shops and will buy me mainly jeans if she comes across some decent ones and I’ll say to her “what size do you think I am?!” But they fit me! So I know that others see my true size (the slimmer me) but I still can’t grasp the fact, or see, that I’m smaller than what I was. In a way it kind of worries me because if I can’t see myself like others do, will I just continue trying to lose weight and end up too thin, if you get what I mean? I’m not aiming for the skinny look; I want to be slimmer, fitter and toned. I know it’s all in my head and that’s probably something I need to work on!

This is so funny. Moms!! My mom is the same, but opposite. My family is used to seeing me at a bigger size so when I arrived this summer at my smallest size ever, they were all pleasantly surprised. My mom knew I was a lot smaller, but in her mind I was still a bigger size. She kept wanting to buy me clothes but was still getting them too big. I had to finally tell her, look. I know this sounds crazy, and it's crazy to me too...but I'm mostly a size small now. When I told her I had just tried on a pair of size 6 pants and a size 4 dress that both fit, she looked at me like I was totally fibbing. :D She finally believed me when I went to the department store with her and ever size 6 and 4 dress I tried on fit like a glove. So now I'm looking forward to next summer. I'm going to tell her to get shopping before I arrive!

    ✅Track: Yes
    ✅Calories: Under
✅Exercise: 20 minute jog with dog while wearing 4 lbs weighted vest.

💬Comments: Finally successfully logged my food! Aiming to do it again today. I was too sick in the morning to work out, but I had to walk my dog in the evening and had more energy, so I turned it into a run. I've discovered that it really doesn't matter if I work out for an hour a day, or 20 minutes a day. The most important thing is performing exercise as a daily habit.

    🌟NSV🌟

I ordered some shapewear from Amazon and it arrived yesterday. I ordered a size medium based on reviewers my same size and weight, and even then feared it would be pretty tight. The shapewear fit like a glove and tucked me in nicely but wasn't tight at all. It's a victory because the last shapewear I purchased was XL and it didn't make me feel sexy at all. This one does!

@o0kody0o I borrowed your daily post font! I hope you don't mind. It's great! How do you do it? On a phone, computer?

    GOOD MORNING TEAM SLIMSONS
    TODAY IS DAY 4!

    TODAY'S MOTIVATIONAL TIP:
    STRESS/EMOTIONAL EATING

    p2udle6byqjt.jpg

Sometimes we let our stress overwhelm us and then we may turn to our favor comfort foods in that moment. This is not for everyone, but those whom like me find themselves in this place from time to time, let's take a minute to reflect afterwards [REGRET, GUILT & SOMETIMES EVEN SHAME] are just a few feelings we contemplate afterwards. Well it's not a done deal there are a few things we can do instead of eating our feelings especially those of us who are trying to change the lives for the better by shredding some excess weight.

A few things that are working for ME are: talking to my psychotherapist, working out when the urges hit and keeping a gratitude and food journal.

Everyone has to find what works for them. It may take days, months or even years to overcome emotional eating habits but the first step is acknowledging that there's an issue and the next step is taking action. This is no way that it will be a quick fix but small baby steps will lead to a huge change in your life.

Hope this helps just one person today.

    Thanks so much for this!

@143tobe That was so weird, I saw your post but thought it was mine and I was thinking “Omg I don’t have a dog anymore and I didn’t order from Amazon...when did I write this and why?!!” 🤣 Thought I was losing my mind lol. Of course I don’t mind! I have an iPhone and just use different smileys/emoji things depending on how I’m feeling lol. Personally I think it looks nicer ☺️

Congrats on your NSV 🎉 It’s awesome when we can finally fit into a smaller size, so well done 👏 🤗

@143tobe That's just it, I make the time. I am a firm believer in you will make time to do what you want to do and so I make time to do it. It's important to me. I will say this, my workouts come first, so if I only have time to work out, I will weight train only because that comes first, but I get up early every day to fit in the rest. The same is true for weight loss, if it's important to you, you will make time for it.

I always think it's amazing when my mom says she doesn't have time to do things, but she spends an hour playing candy crush....maybe you go for a walk and cut your candy crush down to 30 mins? Sounds harsh, I know, but it's really the truth.

@dustyspal I also love labs. Had several over my lifetime, although I currently have 2 cats because when we got them we lived in an apartment and couldn't have dogs, but someday, I will have another lab, I just have a 2 pet limit as I don't want to have more pets than I can really give enough attention to. My pets are my babies.

@143tobe My mom started losing weight with me when I hit about the 80 lb mark, and she started asking my advice, guess she finally thought I knew what I was doing.
And I've given her a lot of my hand me downs as I've lost weight, and what's sort of hilarious is that we're sort of opposites, she's bigger on top than me, I'm bigger on bottom (partly to my shape and partly because of the weight training). She's about 4 sizes smaller on the bottoms than me and I'm 1-2 sizes smaller on top than her. So I've given her my old tops and she's given me a lot of her old bottoms so it's worked out really well lol. Although at this point we both are probably pretty close to where we're going to wind up so we have to start buying our own clothes again.

Today I continued decluttering and it was first day in a long-long time I didn't obsessed over food. I ate as I pre-planned and didn't watch the clock nor fantasized about next meal. I don't know whether it was because I didn't have anything tempting at home or cause I was busy decluttering, but one of those worked. :)

@Ver9nika I still look forward to my next meal and I'm always sad when it's over. But it is better now than it used to be, not sure that will ever go away for me.
