Welcome Fat2Fit Challengers

Here is your Team chat room! This is where you weigh in every week, post your goals and progress, discuss any issues or topics of interest, share ideas, support your teammates, receive help when you need it, and dream big. Cheer each other on to success!
We are beginning the March 2020 Challenge - We have six great teams this month. The group and team leaders are as follows:
Our Moderators:
Liselyn - @jugar
Beka - @beka3695
Lisa - @cafelelia
Teresa - @TeresaW1020

Our Team Captains:
Mission Slimpossible - @broncobuddee and @TeresaW1020
Trimstones - @mulecanter and @jessicakrall8
Weight No More - @sleepymom5 and @cafelelia
Waist Aways - @jugar and @micki48
Shrinking Assets - @Boehle and @beka3695
Downsizers - @lindamtuck2018 and (open)

Our Team Motivators:
Mission Slimpossible - @AustinRuadhain
Trimstones - @Angmarie28
Weight No More - @nstephenson01
Waist Aways - @Terytha and @evangsimmons170
Shrinking Assets - @TheMrWobbly (Fitness Captain)
Downsizers - @UTMom81 and @Kres567

HOW IT ALL WORKS:
Every challenger weighs in on their chosen day, and at the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!

If you need a week off, a break, a change of weigh-in day - just ask your Captain here on your team chat page. If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to ask if you are travelling, sick, or just needing some time off.

In addition to your own team, there are F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the “Announcements” section for full group challenges.

Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love!! Introduce yourselves right away, and let the new month begin.

THANKS!

Hi all! I am Linda and I am the team captain. We have two awesome motivators @Kres567 and @UTMom81.

I am 55, married, mother of 3 and have three beautiful granddaughters. I also have 3 fur babies. You will probably hear me mention my granddaughters a few times during the month. I live in Southwestern Ontario.

I started my journey in February of 2019. I have lost 56 pounds so far and I owe a lot of my success to this group. The accountability and support from teammates is awesome.

    My goals for March
    1. Lose 4 pounds
    2. Swim and do aqua fit exercises twice a week
    3. Walk 9000 steps Monday to Saturday
    4. Walk minimum 30 minutes a day
    5. Drink 8 cups of water a day

Look forward to reading your introductions and goals for the month.

This is all about sharing and documenting your healthy journey! Each week, we will post a theme by day and you get to post a photo related to that theme. You can post just a photo, or a photo with words, or just post words if you don't want to post a photo. It is time for the F2F family get creative for spring!!

Each day of the week is related to a healthy theme:
    Motivation Mondays
    Transformation Tuesdays
    Workout Wednesdays
    Thirsty Thursday
    Food for Though Friday

We have weekends off (and you can start taking photos for the next week)!

Week 1 themes are posted in the challenge thread and we start on Monday, March 2nd! See you there!

Hi all! Just a few housekeeping things for the March challenge.

    Weekly Weigh In
When weighing in can you please use the following format:

    Username:
    Weighin week:
    Weighin day:
    Previous weight:
    Current weight:

    Daily Check In
We will also have a daily checkin you can participate in. It is a good way to stay accountable and get feedback from teammates.

    Suggestion for daily checkin:
    Calories over/under?
    Water:
    Exercise:
    Goals for tomorrow:

    Step Challenge
We have a team step challenge. This month we are going to ask anyone joining the step challenge to pledge a daily step goal. You report your steps here in the team chat and they will be recorded in the spreadsheet. I will calculate a weekly team step goal based on the individual pledges. Each week, we see if we met the group step goal and the top three steppers are announced. The step challenge begins on Sunday, March 1st.

There will be various challenges within the group. I really recommend you participate in them. I found being involved in the challenges helps me reach my goals. They are also another way to connect with your teammates or other teams in group challenges. @Cafelelia announced the March moderators challenge in the previous post. Keep your ears open for other upcoming challenges!

Please take the time to introduce yourself to the group. It is fun to get to know each other a little.

Good Morning, Downsizers! I am back from an intense, but productive week at a conference. I was worried about all the food, and I was justified with that worry, as it was top notch. However, the hotel did have a gym and I was able to work out every day, so when I finally made it back to a scale today, I was up by less than two pounds. I'll take that. I can get that back off relatively quickly, I think.

@lindamtuck2018, my starting weight for March is 168.8. No looking back for me. It's positive momentum for Motivated March!

I am so happy that Spring is almost here in Tennessee! March can be cold and blustery here, but you KNOW that spring is just around the corner and there are always some very nice days in March. My goal is to get outside more for walking trips with my dog. She is not a fan of my exercise bike, because it has replaced my outdoor walks on cold, yucky days.

For those of you that don't know me yet, I am Tami, a 60-year old female. I've been active in My Fitness Pal for several years to varying degrees. My highest weight is 213, but I was down to 145 about a year ago. I am terrible at maintenance, so I'm actively trying to get back below 150. I'm happy and feel very healthy at that weight. I do find it harder to lose and keep weight off at this age, but I'm bound and determined to get back closer to my lowest weight this year.

I look forward to getting to know the new members! Feel free to send friend requests and reach out if there is anything I can do to support you in your weight loss journey. Here's to a Motivated March!

Hi everyone, February was an off month for me, spent most it in maintenance just trying to not gain. However, this is a new month and I’m ready to refocus and move downward again.

Good luck to you on all your goals!!

First week loss 6.5 lbs. I know lbs lost each week will be lower because I won't have the big week 1 loss again. I have a long way to go to get to a "normal" weight, but according to my doctor, I don't have a choice. Diagnosed a bit over a week ago with gastritis and non alcoholic fatty liver disease. On meds and special diet for the gastritis for three months or so until it clears up and then just need to lose weight to hopefully turn around the fatty liver. No cure other than lose weight and time. Fairly easy to stay away from rich food right now because it causes pain but I am not sure once the pain is gone if I can continue to watch what I eat as carefully.
