HOW IT ALL WORKS:
Every challenger weighs in on their chosen day, and at the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!
If you need a week off, a break, a change of weigh-in day - just ask your Captain here on your team chat page. If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to ask if you are travelling, sick, or just needing some time off.
In addition to your own team, there are F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the “Announcements” section for full group challenges.
Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love!! Introduce yourselves right away, and let the new month begin.
THANKS!

Hi all! I am Linda and I am the team captain. We have two awesome motivators @Kres567 and @UTMom81.
I am 55, married, mother of 3 and have three beautiful granddaughters. I also have 3 fur babies. You will probably hear me mention my granddaughters a few times during the month. I live in Southwestern Ontario.
I started my journey in February of 2019. I have lost 56 pounds so far and I owe a lot of my success to this group. The accountability and support from teammates is awesome.
My goals for March
1. Lose 4 pounds
2. Swim and do aqua fit exercises twice a week
3. Walk 9000 steps Monday to Saturday
4. Walk minimum 30 minutes a day
5. Drink 8 cups of water a day
Look forward to reading your introductions and goals for the month.2 -
The March moderators challenge is up!
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10787221/march-spring-it-forward-photo-challenge#latest
This is all about sharing and documenting your healthy journey! Each week, we will post a theme by day and you get to post a photo related to that theme. You can post just a photo, or a photo with words, or just post words if you don't want to post a photo. It is time for the F2F family get creative for spring!!
Each day of the week is related to a healthy theme:
Motivation Mondays
Transformation Tuesdays
Workout Wednesdays
Thirsty Thursday
Food for Though Friday
We have weekends off (and you can start taking photos for the next week)!
Week 1 themes are posted in the challenge thread and we start on Monday, March 2nd! See you there!1 -

Daily Check In
We will also have a daily checkin you can participate in. It is a good way to stay accountable and get feedback from teammates.
Suggestion for daily checkin:

Water:
Exercise:
Goals for tomorrow:
Step Challenge
We have a team step challenge. This month we are going to ask anyone joining the step challenge to pledge a daily step goal. You report your steps here in the team chat and they will be recorded in the spreadsheet. I will calculate a weekly team step goal based on the individual pledges. Each week, we see if we met the group step goal and the top three steppers are announced. The step challenge begins on Sunday, March 1st.
There will be various challenges within the group. I really recommend you participate in them. I found being involved in the challenges helps me reach my goals. They are also another way to connect with your teammates or other teams in group challenges. @Cafelelia announced the March moderators challenge in the previous post. Keep your ears open for other upcoming challenges!
Please take the time to introduce yourself to the group. It is fun to get to know each other a little.

Good Morning, Downsizers! I am back from an intense, but productive week at a conference. I was worried about all the food, and I was justified with that worry, as it was top notch. However, the hotel did have a gym and I was able to work out every day, so when I finally made it back to a scale today, I was up by less than two pounds. I'll take that. I can get that back off relatively quickly, I think.
@lindamtuck2018, my starting weight for March is 168.8. No looking back for me. It's positive momentum for Motivated March!
I am so happy that Spring is almost here in Tennessee! March can be cold and blustery here, but you KNOW that spring is just around the corner and there are always some very nice days in March. My goal is to get outside more for walking trips with my dog. She is not a fan of my exercise bike, because it has replaced my outdoor walks on cold, yucky days.
For those of you that don't know me yet, I am Tami, a 60-year old female. I've been active in My Fitness Pal for several years to varying degrees. My highest weight is 213, but I was down to 145 about a year ago. I am terrible at maintenance, so I'm actively trying to get back below 150. I'm happy and feel very healthy at that weight. I do find it harder to lose and keep weight off at this age, but I'm bound and determined to get back closer to my lowest weight this year.
I look forward to getting to know the new members! Feel free to send friend requests and reach out if there is anything I can do to support you in your weight loss journey. Here's to a Motivated March!

Hi everyone, February was an off month for me, spent most it in maintenance just trying to not gain. However, this is a new month and I’m ready to refocus and move downward again.
Good luck to you on all your goals!!2 -

Weigh in March Week 1
charlottemilton
Previous 266
current 259.5
First week loss 6.5 lbs. I know lbs lost each week will be lower because I won't have the big week 1 loss again. I have a long way to go to get to a "normal" weight, but according to my doctor, I don't have a choice. Diagnosed a bit over a week ago with gastritis and non alcoholic fatty liver disease. On meds and special diet for the gastritis for three months or so until it clears up and then just need to lose weight to hopefully turn around the fatty liver. No cure other than lose weight and time. Fairly easy to stay away from rich food right now because it causes pain but I am not sure once the pain is gone if I can continue to watch what I eat as carefully.

Sunday Check In
Calories: under but barely
Exercise: got outside today for a good walk with pup and it felt great!
Water: did not track but not enough
Hey, anyone want to join me in this plank challenge for beginners? Or a more difficult version of you aren’t a beginner?
2 -
Hey team. I’m new to the group. I’ve been on MFP since 2011 and have lost 30lbs, but, I took a 2-year hiatus because I had a lot going on at the time. I’m back to refocus on getting healthier. I was really looking for a group that could help hold me accountable, and I found you! This community seems great, and I look forward to loosing with you.
A little about me: I’m a mom of 2 girls (ages 11 and 8.) I work from home so I don’t move as much these days but have a treadmill in my office, so trying to stay motivated to at least walk more throughout the day. I live in Phoenix, AZ, USA.3 -
I goofed! So sorry --
for Third Place February Pounds Lost - it should have been @Emmajhare with 9.5 pounds tossed to the curb. @timibotkin was also amazing, but I somehow overlooked the quiet little 9.5 sitting there on the spreadsheet. Sorry!2 -

Calories: under
Exercise: 20 minute walk, 25 minutes aqua fit exercises/ treading water

Didn’t get as long walk as I planned but the pool exercises where a bonus. My granddaughter made a friend at the pool, so I took advantage for some extra exercise time.

Hey everyone! My name is Jen and I’m one of the motivators. I’ve been with this challenge group for a few years now. I struggle with consistency and stickigg big to good habits I’ve been trying to establish.
I am almost 45, married and have two kids - 13 and 7. It’s tough most days to focus on myself but I know if I gave up on this I would be so much worse off.
My goal for March is to lose what I gained in February (2lbs) plus more.
Good luck everyone!5 -

Hi my name is Casey, I am a 6’ tall SAHM of three kiddos . I am pretty close to my goal weight, so I tend to go up and down about 2 lbs from my current weight. I run about 3 x a week, I have a half marathon in 20 days and am hoping to start indoor rock climbing tomorrow. It’s hard to carve out time for yourself. There’s so much guilt, and late and early workouts. But, the whole family is better when you are taking care of yourself. Good luck this month!3
