Tuesday 3/31
Food: on track
Water: 64 oz
Exercise: 20 minute jumping jack workout from my trainer, 20 minutes other high intensity workout, 30 minutes low intensity bodyweight exercises, 60 minute walk with my neighbor
Not really sure what to say about my day. Basically doing the same things I've been doing for the last week and guessing that most of my days will look the same.
It was nice walking with my neighbor today. We weren't sure we could go for our long walk since it looked like rain again. We decided to just go and hope we didn't get wet. We managed to get through our walk without getting wet so that was nice.3 -
@Cafelelia
I agree some days are better than others but we just have to do the best we can. Thanks, I'm working hard at it.2 -

Can't believe I am the same weight again this week! In all honesty, although in general my meals are good, my evening snacking has crept back in, and also had one cheeky takeaway where I completely overindulged. My steps and exercise are also pretty poor at the moment. I'm finding that not having places to go or people to see that I am starting to "let myself go", for example I have done absolutely nothing with my hair - just had it in a pineapple/high ponytail - is now one matted mess. Doesn't seem to matter when only close family will see. Anyway, this is not a good attitude (and there is the fear that someone at work may want to do a video call!), so today I will give some self-care - I have just put on a deep conditioning treatment on as a start.
Today I am also going to do at least 8,000 steps (even if it is just walking round in circles in my garden or living room), and I am going to track all my food, and stay below calorie plan. I need to build back in the good habits!
Will be back later to do my proper intro....

@lennoncpa Your desk really highlights how small (and cute!) Sunny is!
@pacsnc6 I am pleased you have a start date. I think any certainty in anything is good right now!
@Mrsbell8well I am very curious about artichokes now. I've never tried one!
@Freeglerock I hear you on the lack of steps. I have also been living in my activewear with my hair in a ponytail. I'm getting in a workout most days but moving around so much less in general at home.
@tryingagain5 You are so consistent!
I'm sticking around calories every day, with exercise. I've had a splitting headache today though, from tension in my shoulders and neck. I managed 5 mins on my spin bike and had to call it quits. The tension is not surprising from the amount of stress I'm under. Work has put the restructuring plan on hold for 6 weeks, but cut my hours back to 10 per week. I may be able to negotiate more, but I also may not have a job at all in 6 weeks. I will know more after a conversation with senior management.
Anyway it's late here and I'm going to bed. Have a good day everyone.5 -

Tuesday check in
Food: 14:10 IF but ate like a jerk
Water: Lots, lost track
Exercise & steps:35 minute dog walk in the snow; 9,274 steps
Had a fairly productive day. Deep cleaned some kitchen appliances. Not sure if its stress or the snow but eating was bad... bad... bad. On top of everything we had an earthquake last night. Growing up in California earthquakes are fairly common but not here in Montana. Not a big one and it was based in Idaho but it got everyone pretty excited so several phone calls/texts from neighbors. I need to get my eating under control as I'm determined to not gain weight during this crisis.
@lennoncpa Adorable pictures of your little assistant
@tryingagain5 Nothing wrong with doing the same thing. Having a routine is a good thing these days.
@Freeglerock I'm a curly haired girl as well. If I brush my hair out it turns into a giant frizzball so messy buns are the norm around here.
Another good day steppin' @brown6267
@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx I carry stress in my neck and shoulders too. Trying to be mindful of my shoulder position, posture and breathing. I also find myself clenching my hands at times which is kind of bizarre. We will get through this some how.
Welcome @annliz23!! Darling profile picture of your dog. I have a neighbor who has 6 poodles... all sizes from standard to teacup.3 -

Okay, I am tired of losing and gaining the same stinking pound for almost a year. I signed up for Noom yesterday, because I think I need some additional form of motivation or accountability or something.
Steps this week:
Sun: 12,179
Mon: 11,850
Tue: 3,362 - felt very droopy yesterday. Better today.4 -
@annliz23 sounds like you have a full life! Welcome to our family!!! I too love your poodle profile. We are very pet friendly here.
@nstephenson01 scary about your earthquake and all the bad eating haha! Sometimes that is just the way it is. It can be so hard to regroup. Hang in there Nancy these are constantly changing times.
@Zumba_Luvah and @brown6267 great steps! Keep going!
@tryingagain5 it happens. Keep doing all the good stuff your doing. It will come back down.
@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx Love your new profile pic! I gave artichoke instructions last month but just now adding the photos. They are a unique vegetable. Part of the best part is dipping them in butter or an aioli sauce. But since I am cleansing I ate them plain. The last bet with the stem part is so delicious!
@freeglerock I love your curly hair!!!
@podperson1 awww thanks glad you like the pics. I can be a bit of a photo hog at times with my many posts. Spring is just so beautiful and each day the beauty changes. I try to appreciate all the different stages.

Happy April 1st everyone! No fools here just plenty of smiles and hope for our future. I was so thrilled to be under my April 1st goal at 144.6. My next target is 144 by next Wednesday. Totally doable. I came home last night so exhausted. Ate a big roasted potato salad loaded with lettuce and chopped vegetables and herbs. Was in bed by 7:30 asleep before 8. But after 5 hours of deep sleep I awoke before 1 am confused and wide awake. I laid in bed for another hour then gave up. Took a hot bath, did a facial, shaved my legs, washed and blew dry my hair, took my measurements and weighed, did yoga (finally) at 3:30 am and was down in the kitchen by 4:30 ready to make split pea soup for dinner. As I was getting ready to chop vegetables I started feeling sleepy. Went back up and slept another hour or so.
I think this virus news continues to affect us daily even when we try not to think about it too much.
Molly starts working from home today. I decided to still take Lula Mae to work with me. She needs to get out more. She's doing great.2 -
I also have curly hair and have not been doing anything to it since I haven't been working so today I pulled out my flat iron straightened my hair and got dressed. I also decided not to stay in bed until 830 so I was up by 730. I had breakfast and did a video then went for a walk. Had my shower got ready for the day now I'm babysitting my granddaughter, the kids each had appointments and noone wanted to bring her in with them and risk anything. I making sure to drink plenty of water and just ate salad for lunch. I have to get into a routine I hate being lazy, one day is ok but every day is not for me.3
-
Here’s my first attempt. I have already tweaked it. Added herbs 2 x day and avocado and vegan butter to fats. I will also use IF as needed.

Just checking in quick while I have time. Maybe later I can read over what you all have been up to. Jim is stable which is good. It is not unusual for these patients to be on the ventilator for 14 days so we have a long road ahead. I appreciate all the good thoughts and prayers. The girls and I are hanging in there. We are feeling well and no symptoms. Hope all of you are doing well too. Xoxo7

Step by step artichoke pictures. In the end you eat the yummy last part with the stem and toss the choke.
Thanks, Angelina. You're the best. Have you considered a blog or a cookbook? Not kidding.
I looked at the market yesterday and didn't see any. I can't wait to try this and soon.3 -
@1theresamcvean oh yes I very much want to do a blog and I have several cookbooks in various stages that I have been playing with. I appreciate the encouragement. I want to do a dessert cookbook (vegan and healthy...well not always so healthy lol), a kids vegan cookbook and a seasonal menu/planning cookbook.3

Hi, I am new here. My weigh-in day is Wednesday. Today is April 1st so I started today. I am an online professor and I also own a small ad agency. I have been working remotely more or less for the past 5+ years minus teaching a few face-to-face classes or seeing clients. My husband works from home as well, he is a systems administrator and luckily we are both still working. All three of our kids are home from school and homeschooling. It has been challenging finding enough food and certain kinds of foods to cook healthy meals for the family. We live in NY which is the hardest hit in the nation and almost everyone at this point has a family member who is ill or has passed away or both. It is a very scary time. My only saving grace is my running which I can, for now, do outside early in the morning. If we are forced to stop that, I do have a treadmill that I am not as enthused about but it will do. Anyway, I am happy to meet everyone and hope this group will keep me accountable during these challenging times. I did the challenge of tracking my food ahead of time and earning my shower with a long run. I so far have stayed the course with the food I tracked today.
Anyway here is my weigh-in info:

Yes, having a routine is important, especially now. Sounds like you've been productive with your deep cleaning.
Wow, an earthquake, that had to be scary.0 -
Wednesday 4/1
Food: over
Water: 48 oz
Exercise: 30 minutes low intensity bodyweight exercises, 30 minute walk
I didn't have a lot of motivation today. I was somewhat productive but only for part of the day. I did clean out my pantry and started getting things ready for my church's sale. I listened to my church's livestream midweek check in service.
Usually I walk with my neighbor in the afternoon but she was getting together at the park with her daughter and grandkids. She said I could join them but I didn't want to intrude on their family time. I went out for a walk around my condo complex and talked with one neighbor, walked with another neighbor and her dog and then walked around one more time by myself.
My dad stopped by to get a couple of chairs from my garage. He only has a carport so he stores some of his things in my garage. A few neighbors were outside so I talked with them for a while. While we were out there we saw 4 deer in the field near our complex. One of my neighbors said she sees them a lot. I guess I'm not out at the right time since I usually don't so it was really nice to see.3 -
Late check in for Tuesday
Sorry everyone, I had a busy day and still did not feel well. I took a long nap late afternoon and felt better this evening. Somebody must have seen the “Save Me From My Kids” post because our school board is implementing distance learning starting on Monday. We have schedules, so there will be some video learning and assignments on abbreviated schedules. Thank goodness as it was like another job trying to put together lessons and get the kids to do them. Given how I have been feeling, I decided to take the week off of food planning, exercising and the step challenge. If I continue to feel this good tomorrow, I will do a shorter workout to start. I will start up everything on Sunday again. I am doing a virtual sourdough baking class tomorrow night and am really looking forward to it.
@ProfDawnLee - Welcome to the team! It is amazing that you have kept up your running through such a challenging time.
@lennoncpa - What a cutie! You are making me want to get a dog!
@mrsbell8well - I really like your new profile photo!
@ljdanny - It is hard trying to get into a new routine through all of this. I have wavy hair and luckily just had my straightening treatment about a week before we went into stay in place. I should be good for about 5 months and fingers crossed I can actually go to the hairdresser then!
@GingerPwr- I have heard good things about Noom. It is good to change things up, so glad that you are giving it a try!
@nstephenson01 - An earthquake? That is crazy! I love that “ate like a jerk” line.
@annliz23 - Welcome to the team! As you can see, everyone loves to post pics of their fur babies!
@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx - I am so sorry about your job. I hope that you can keep it and get some more hours.
@Freeglerock - Well no gain is good, even if you didn’t expect it! I totally get it about not caring about looks I FaceTimed my mom today & she told me that I looked bad!
@tryingagain5 - Lots of great exercise, nice job!
@podperson1 - Happy Anniversary to your parents! What a milestone! Too bad about Barcelona, but you can do an amazing party when this is over.
@sleepymom5 - will keep praying for Jim. Glad that you and the girls are feeling ok.

Daily check in for Wednesday
Food: Forgot to set my IF app. Pre-planned food and stuck to plan so consider it a good day
Water: Great... plus a cup of tea
Exercise & Steps: 20 mins Bowflex MaxTrainer Intervals; 30 minute dog walk; 10,165 steps
Yesterday was cardio day... my heart wasn't in it so not the best workout calorie burn wise but I did it. Eating was back on track and water was really good. I'm not much of a fan of tea but try to force myself to have a cup now and then. Still stuck in a winter weather pattern and am so over this snow we're getting. Was a bit short on steps so did a lap around the house before bed to get my 10,000 steps.
Been bouncing around the low 170's for 2 weeks now. The 1 pound gain could be because my husband is home with me and it throws off my routine plus discipline goes out the window. It could be that I'm more committed to my strength training since yoga is closed or it could be that I've been behaving badly. LOL Or all 3! My goal for April is to get back into the 160's... there are 5 Thursdays in April so this should be totally doable. I seriously plateaued at 175 and am not going back there.
@mrsbell8well Love your new profile pic. That shade of green is so flattering on you. You really choose your colors well.
@annliz23 Great Day!!
@Cafelelia Hope you continue to feel better and that's great news about the schooling. I am fascinated by your online sourdough baking class!! Let me know how it goes
@tryingagain5 Another good day of exercise!3
